Many extremists taking the life of people all in the name of religion, why?

^^^ Because the humanity that the terrorists kill, have a religion of inviting terrorists to kill them, by maintaining a low number of guns among themselves, if they have any at all.

There may be as many reasons as there are people.
But I think it boils down to people looking for a purpose, wanting to be part of something greater than themselves.
Too bad they latch onto something as destructive as religion.

I think it's because they think that it's their destiny to do the bidding of the lord
truly despicable , if i remember correctly those extremists are getting younger i think it's an existential crisis / crisis of faith in general that leads people to find their "solace" in extremism.

Humanity doesn't exist anymore. It's just I, me, myself. People are filled with so much hatred that they find religion a good excuse to get rid of it and this is what makes them feel better. The ones who are emotionally weak and told that whatever injustice happened to them, happened because of their religion and that's it.

Well said, the reason why these extremists exists is because of ignorance, they usually pop up in places like Afganistan, Pakistan,Kenya ,Bangladesh,Iraq and Iran. What these countries have in common is big ignorance. Keeping a gun for self defense is always the right choice.

Was it Ibn Khaldun who wrote that sedentary societies become complex, decline then get invaded by savages who then eventually become sedentary and repeat the cycle again? He was at least right with his own people the Arabs.

It appears this is what is happening in the West right now, similar to what happened to the Romans. People lose survival instinct when they become comfortable.

Humanity becomes form religion. Religion teaches how to make a perfect man in the world. In the Religion have a full guide rise to sleep. If we follow the religion guide we could be an honest and responsible person.

Many extremists have the need to justify their crimes using religion but we are talking about different things here.
True religion promote peace, love and coperation between different people, religions, races etc.
So, we don't choose between religion and humanity but between good and bad people.

Big guys who don't want us to grown economically made these religions and make us to keep fighting with each other so we might not have time to think about our future.

But religion has good things but don't be an extremist,just do what is right not what other told you to do.

They try to show that this is the good for their religion and make more people to join their killing attempts.
It is their strategy to enlist more people in their killing army. Simple as that.

The term extremists itself evolved from those kind of people who have his belief and becomes strong to it. Though it has got the proven statements and proof existing somewhere around the globe, they're not with a mind to accept. This is where a complication needs to be loosened by the extremists giving preference to humanity over religion.

People that do this did not understand life and even if they understood life in their own way they are in darkness and been control by force greater than them. Extremists should be towards humanity and not religion because religion is manipulations and humanity is reality.

You have to understand that religious people are really low IQ people / indoctrinated heavily or delusional. Radical Muslims actually believe they are doing us a favor by killing our babies because they will go directly to heaven, similarly they truly believe it's their duty to kill infidels, etc.

Why? Because any people that do this are part of the religion of Satan, even if they do not know it.

In the Revelation in the Bible, Satan is called Abaddon and Apollyon. These names mean destroyer.

Is there anything called "humanity" in this world? I almost forgot but yes it has. With respect, sometimes I don't see the purpose of religion. It is just a mode of diving people and making a unity that will be manipulated by religious leaders.

I actually tried to analyze the reason why people were chasing for their religions individually. It is because once you get to the point that you think you're at the top of all the humans. You will always find someone who you could consider as your alpha to help you with your visions.
That is the time you will look for God. Because the world won't give you a meaning anymore. After that, you will lead the people to serve the God you think he is. And build a religion. Because of your influence, people will sadly follow you. And it will be heard by their kids and the other generations.

Religion teach you to do good to your fellowmen.thats why choose first religion and humanity will follow.
Sometime we forgot of humanity in this days but the relegion always remind you to do good give and share blessings to other specially poor people.

Don't worry, plenty of killings have happened in the name of your god too, in fact god himself killed a ton of people, many times, he also ordered other people to kill others, including their babies, not to mention slavery or rape.

Religion has killed many people than any other human discovered and if this is not manage very well, time will come when they will not be human beings to worship any God as religion will consume humankind! It is a very sad thing that we allow religion to become a determinate on how we live and how we live.

There are two types of people who conduct these sort of violent behavior to another human being, the one who plan everything and the other part is that the people who can get brain washed easily, from my understanding everything depends upon money, they are getting enough funds to create these sort of unrest activities around the world and they have the skills to brain wash individuals who have extreme thinking and majority of them are in the age group of 12 to 25. My conclusion is, it is all about money.

This is the reason I don't usually go to church. Despite the fact that I am a Christian, I do believe in God but I am not that kind of people that go to church every day. Also, I am not so emerged to that religion that I can kill people because of it. Despite the fact that I am a Christian, I still know what is morally right and morally wrong.

Which basically proves god is not real, the bible supposedly has the absolute morals and yet you are able to see and think for yourself and understand when the bible is wrong(which it shouldnt be) for instance you know killing is wrong or slavery but the bible encourages it many times.

Well, Not all religion does that :). AFAIK and TBH, It's already part of our human nature to do good/bad to others even the context of religion is out of the picture. I'd also like to rephrased this line, "Sometime we forgot of humanity in this days..." to "Often times we forget religion but humanity reminds us what's best for the majority".

So, we see that true religion is to lift people up to, or above, religion.

There is a little piece of background that people often miss about this story, so that they judge the priest and the levite too harshly. These two guys had writings in their law that priests and levites were supposed to remain separate from the "crowd." They were not supposed to touch things that were or appeared to be "unclean" - in a spiritually unclean way.

The wrong thing that they had been taught about this was the cases when they were to remain separate. The time they were to remain separate had to do with times that they were acting in the ceremony of their religious offices. In general, they were to see that all hurt and harmed people were to be helped.

Would these two guys have used their cellphones to call 911 if they had had such? Nobody knows for sure. But Jesus straightened them out gently, with His parable, regarding where their hearts and compassion should have been.

Man i ask myself this all the time. I have no idea why people choose to do so but it's always been this way so it hasn't changed imo. I feel like people cling to religion because that is their ultimate 'community' and everything outside of that doesn't matter. If their community loves and accepts them, the rest of the world is insignificant.

Living a religion might also lead you to killing other people/innocents because your god demands you to and I'm not talking only about muslims, christians too, their book has plenty of that, direct commands from god to people to kill others for stupid things like gathering sticks on the Sabbath.

In my opinion, there many reasons for this. First one I can think of is they want everyone to have one belief, which is nearly impossible since each and everyone of us is different even we're in the same religion. As a result, the people getting forced have to fight back, which is the second reason, they fight back for what they believe. And last that I can think of, They have to deliver their agenda. Religions have different agenda, who knows maybe they also have hidden ones. In order to implement, they need to do some extreme stuffs.

There are such religious people who are called extremists. This extremists think that for some "Saint" actions they will be blessed or they will be given a place in so called "heaven". That's why they think that they can take people's lives.

The more fear we have the more likely we are to kill, so hope we can learn to love ourselves and then other people too, cuz we're all.the same, pretty much.

More mass education and exposure to as many cultures as can help.
The more we know of myths and religions from all over the world, including and perhaps highlighting indigenous peoples, the more balanced and spiritual will be the messages learned.  

Universal truths and the principles of love are common themes across the cultures. And each culture gives a different insight or perspective.

The more we know the good that is common to all, the more we can spot the erroneous dogmas and prejudices and see for what it is. That you don't have to kill for your religion.
