Title: Your Emotions: Highs and Lows of the Bull Runs
Post by: JollyGood on May 17, 2019, 03:52:59 PM
How do you feel during a bull run when you see the crypto you hold going up in price?

How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?

What sort of emotions do you feel when hoping the crypto you hold keeps climbing and do you imagine driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini?

Maybe you start thinking of when to sell and maybe if it would give enough money to help you leave your job and start a business or travel the world?

 ;D

My feeling was so happy because I can try to sell some of my coins at a good price. I am sure that will happen again soon.
That will be my chance to buy another amount of the coins at the low price, and then I can hold for a while until the price can increase later.
Nah, I don't imagine to have a Ferrari or Lamborghini because I don't need it ;D
But my emotions will be happy because I can make a lot of money from crypto.
I will only sell my coins at a high price, and I am willing to wait for the time to see the price increase.
Maybe if I have enough money, I will travel the world, have a new home, have saving money for the rest of my life ;D

i only hold bitcoin because it is the only thing that has a real potential and is worth holding! and whenever it rises i only feel how my expectations are coming true and whenever it has a correction i am happy because i know i can buy more.

and at the same time whenever i see an atlcoin rise the only thing i can ever think of is when is the dump going to start and that way of thinking has always prevented me from losing money in any altcoin when they inevitably get dumped.

Riding the bull means people can get so excited imagining bitcoin will soon be reaching beyond the $20,000 level it reached in the 2017 bull run. Emotions can go high and can go low likewise just like what we are having today because of the dip or a correction. Once bitcoin can get back to its feet again, smiling faces of many bitcoin holders can be as common as the air we breath. On my case, I am thinking that I can be able to buy a farm if I am holding a sizable number of bitcoin under my sleeves but since I only got some minute figures then I am just imagining buying like a t-shirt somewhere maybe in Hong Kong.

Of course, everyone was delighted to see the price going on and you feel ecstatic and feeling nostalgic as well, specially for those who have been in the previous runs in 2017  ;D. However, I'm not imaging driving those expensive cars though. I was thinking of buying a new home, or at least renovate my house.  ;D. Yep, putting up a business is a good idea as well, so it also crosses my mind. So let's see in 2020-2021, whether we can finally learn the lessons for 2017 and be crypto millionaires in the future. ;D

It is a pleasure for me when the crypto price rises, and when the price decreases the fear I feel, and I do not need to overflow emotions because I will believe that crypto will rise.

problem is when you are thinking to sell it quickly the emotions are more higher in your mind but if you do it for long time then no other problems will came to you because you don't much need to carry about them and it really helpful to get a huge profit when you are holding it for long time

Yes I am agreed with you. Now we are seeing the first leg up of bull run recently where only btc are moving. But after few days I mean from half of this year we can see bull run with Both of btc and Altcoin. Which will be real one IMO. Thanks

When the price is pumping high, i’m already thinking about my target price and hope that BTC will reach it, but a sudden drop begins again and my excitement turns out and back to normal again. I’m not panicking even if its dumping again, because I know we need this dump so the price will go higher. We still have 7months to go before the end of 2019, more time to pump with the top coins.

well my emotions are always controlled because I am not a quicktime seller so I invested for long time investment so whenever the market changes is not most of the time affected me because if you have invested long time you don't worry about that

Trading today makes me can play fast. Price changes are very frequent and occur quickly. When the price rises my heart is very pleased, but I have to sell the coin soon. But price reductions also made me happy. Because I can buy coins at a cheap price and if climbing happens. I've benefited again. I am not going to emotion because it will only make panic and wrong in taking decisions.

Thank you for sharing this. I hope all your dreams and aspirations come to fruition regarding travelling the world, having a new home and having to live off your savings for the rest of your life. In crypto wild-west anything is possible.

When to decide enough is enough during the bull run and cashing out is one of the hardest things to do because if you cash out early and see the price rising for days afterwards it would be hard to take and if you hold on too long and let the price slip and slide in the hope it will go high again but miss the optimal selling price - that too will be hard to take.

I'll be sharing my experience.

I have XBX and bought it at $.50 when it was 1st launched at IDAX way back in I believe January. So it went up to like $.70 so I earned some but I didn't sell hoping that it will still go up (BTW this price may not show in CMC that it went up that high since that time it was not listed) so as weeks and months passed by it went down to $.02 so I bought more! Here's the catch, few days ago it pumped to $0.27-0.30 but still I didn't sell and now it dumped! You know what I am feeling right now! frustrations! All of my plans went down.

So with this scenario, I would say we have to be smart in trading or holding into an investment do not trust your emotion but your mind. Be smart enough to release your holdings if you see that you earned some. PROFIT IS PROFIT!

How do you feel during a bull run when you see the crypto you hold going up in price?
You know that emotion that makes you feel excited and wanting of more? that's what I felt when I see the price of bitcoin going up. Despite that it has corrected yesterday, the feeling remained on me and it hasn't changed my perception about being bullish.

How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?
As always, it gives mix emotions and that makes me like this  :-[ :-X :-\ :'(

What sort of emotions do you feel when hoping the crypto you hold keeps climbing and do you imagine driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini?
I'm not imagining driving myself with a Ferrari or lambo, I'm thinking of driving a Toyota Innova.  :P

Maybe you start thinking of when to sell and maybe if it would give enough money to help you leave your job and start a business or travel the world?
I have a certain price when to sell and as of now, we haven't reach even the half of it. Yes, I have plans to start my own business, take sometime for a vacation and enjoy it with my family but I don't have plan yet of leaving my job.
This is a positive thread and keep sharing all of those dreams, we're all positive that it will come into reality someday.

Better start thinking of leaving that job and actually preparing for a business if you really want to achieve those dreams.

As for now, my feeling for the latest up and down in bitcoin prices is still positive. Those who profit from it will surely slowly go back.

I have that on my mind but for now, I decided not to leave it. I still need to diversify myself and can't lose my source of income through my salary with that day job that I have. I'm still enjoying and it isn't too toxic so I don't have kind of urge to leave it immediately. I can manage my time, well I guess I should experience all of those adjustments when I'm already there. Otherwise, I'm still on the planning phase and hoping that I would succeed with the path that I'm about to choose.

Nothing can explain mate,it’s just like a dream come true whenever the value of our coins going up and giving us profit

How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?
This is the most important part of investing in crypto, when the trust to our coins is tested by dumping prices and in this area many made a wrong decisions, some stays holding but many turns panicking and sell off even in losses

Happy when I see a bull run, sad when I see the bear run, but all these emotions are just temporary as I learned to control myself already.
I saw a lot of these movements in the past, so I can call this a normal trend in the market.
I'm only happier when the time comes that I will be able to sell, I am actually holding for long term, so selling is a big achievement on my part.

So do you sell high and then re-buy more when the price drops? It is unclear from your post.

What about if you changed your holdings from Bitcoin and used others such as XRP or ETH or others?

I believe it is only a person that is an hater of bitcoin and crypto as a whole would like to see the price of the coin go down, because once you are in the crypto space and most especially an hodler, you will be very happy once you see the price of the coins you own growing and making profit for you everyday without doing anything to gain it, I just hope that the bull run we are currently seeing in the crypto space is not going to seize and turn out to be a bearish market because it won't be funny to those that already has hope in the crypto market.

A normal person used to the stock market can't emotionally handle these wild crypto movements.  The veterans here don't even blink at a %20 drop, its just another day for crypto.  Something dropping 20 percent in a day would be a disaster for the stock market though.

I never thought I would ever read a post saying a crypto enthusiast would retire and buy a farm if he rode the bull run and made a fortune so wish your dreams come true.

I agree about the excitement of maybe seeing BTC hitting beyond $20,000 in a bull run, those emotions can go high and low like the bulls runs and corrections push crypto prices around  ;D

I feel excited if i see a bull run and if i bought coins at a good price. But i can feel frustrated if i didn't bought any coin and if i sold them at a very low price. Thoses can happen, but it is life and i have to continue to learn everyday how the crypto market is going to react. After the Binance hack, i expected to see some dump of BTC, but it didn't happened. Bad or good news don't seem to really affect the current crypto market.

Until now my feelings were still very patient. But if the price conditions increase is certainly a sense of pleasure it will arise. As now Bitcoin rises I am very pleased because I also hold Bitcoin. But if there is a decline my feeling is also unstable. If it decides to sell of course it is a very heavy decision. I do this because I want to cut the hassling.

Question number one, I feel excited, undecided, I feel I want to sell and sometimes I feel I want to wait more. Second question, it s always a mixed kind of emotions. If it I sold during high price, I am thankful I sold it before the price went down if not, I feel bad and I blame myself for not selling earlier. I am regretful.

Yea I always dream of having enough from crypto so I can start a new business and leave my job forever.

prices go down or rise we do not need to be emotional to excessive so that it will have an impact on your losses. in my opinion it has become a normal thing and risk when we are here, so we don't need emotions just a little disappointed.

Ha, here, everything depends on the amount of money you invested in the cryptocurrencies and the returns. To travel to watch the other countries and quit your job, you have to buy a LOT of various altcoins and Bitcoin and manage to sell them during the peak of the market growth. It is possible but it is hard to do. As for me, feel happy when the bulls come, but there is still no need to rush selling your crypto.

I think would be so happy to see their investment grow and finally, they can taste the result of their investment that they have been waiting for more than a month or even a year. I myself were too happy to see such price is growing and finally the bull run is already started, it's just about time that i have to hodl more and wait for the exact time to sell and buyback again.

When a bull run starts it's very exciting, the feeling is like: I knew it would happen, that is what I was expecting for! And it's really comforting, because you think about all those people who said crypto market was dead during the bear market, and finally they were wrong.
And when the market falls down, there is a mix of frustration, fear and hope: frustration because we don't want to see that happening and that wasn't what we expected for, fear because that thought about "crypto market is dead" passes through our minds and hope because there is another part of us that knows it's just a season, and another one will come, bringing a bull run again!

How do you feel during a bull run when you see the crypto you hold going up in price?
First in my mind is doubt. because is this really going to happen Bullrun or just a correction?
If indeed Bullrun I will be happy and prepare a special time to observe price movements.
How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?
I will get ready because usually there will be a dump shortly after Bullrun, so I must immediately sell coins in order to secure my funds.
What sort of emotions do you feel when hoping the crypto you hold keeps climbing and do you imagine driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini?
Emotion of sad, maybe I will overflow if the price increase is not as high as expected, but I did not get angry because I did not imagine Ferrari or Lamborghini, I only imagined children and wife.
Maybe you start thinking of when to sell and maybe if it would give enough money to help you leave your job and start a business or travel the world?
When Bullrun happens, the moment for Buy and Sell must be neat and steady, but that's what sometimes I am wrong in choosing moments. and if I Had got enough profit, I prefer to set up a business in the real world according to my hobby, it will be fun.

Emotional failure happens with common people, while this is just a manipulative method followed by the whales. Even when you find a specific price to be low, some news spread that the specific value will even fall lower. By this user will wait to invest, but the same opportunity will be used by the whales making a big investment and making the market forward. We need to learn to overcome these challenges.

The only one's who would be disappointed is the people who didn't invest while the market was low and they could,
And the sad people would be the one's who believes in crypto but doesn't have enough money to invest.

How do you feel during a bull run when you see the crypto you hold going up in price?

How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?

What sort of emotions do you feel when hoping the crypto you hold keeps climbing and do you imagine driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini?

Maybe you start thinking of when to sell and maybe if it would give enough money to help you leave your job and start a business or travel the world?

 ;D
those feelings might be happy for anyone, maybe a lot of profit will be gained when crypto is held up to increase in price. but we need to know if we hope that the coins that we hold have increased we must be smart to do analysis and carefully choose potential assets.

It is a pleasure for me when the crypto price rises, and when the price decreases the fear I feel, and I do not need to overflow emotions because I will believe that crypto will rise.

That is a positive outlook you have, we all feel crypto will eventually rise :)

During the rising price phase do you ever sell? Do you buy after the bull run during the fall or correction?

Some people may imagine they could buy a new home, a new car, or other valuables items because they hold a lot of bitcoin. their happiness will be directly proportional to the amount of bitcoin they hold. The more bitcoin it will be more happier he is. but of course it will also be directly proportional to their feelings when prices fall, the more you hold, the more fear you will feel, thats correspondence

It's difficult to predict especially in crypto world, the full of risk investment.
People are greed, they want to earn profit but they always find the easy way to obtain it.

But for people who are lucky, they can achieve it without "emotion"

if there is an incoming bull run my emotions were excited   . my heart will race and beats fast and if the bull run finally occurs , i feel verry happy because in my mind i can now harvest my gains but if the bull has past of course i feel a little bit sad because the party is partially over but  im still hopeful that a bull can again happen after some days or weeks of waiting because a bull can probably occur after a mere correction  . lastly , im not qutting this roller coaster ride . this is my world now  win or loose ill continue until the end  .

Uncontrolled emotions is one of the reasons I lost over 200usd in yesterdays bitcoin correction. Sometimes we seem to get too emotionally attached that we seem to get our judgement clouded and the moment you miss selling or buying at the right time, that's the moment you start losing funds

Title: Re: Your Emotions: Highs and Lows of the Bull Runs
Post by: JollyGood on May 19, 2019, 07:11:16 PM
problem is when you are thinking to sell it quickly the emotions are more higher in your mind but if you do it for long time then no other problems will came to you because you don't much need to carry about them and it really helpful to get a huge profit when you are holding it for long time

But if you wait too long and miss the optimal opportunity (price) to sell then people tend to hold on hoping the price will go up. Which results in people hanging on until the next bull run or prematurely sell cheap.

Honestly, when I see the market condition that continues to rise, I feel very happy and extra patience arises in monitoring the market, and if what happens is a decrease, it cannot be denied that panic is always haunting, but even so, I always try to remain calm.

While it is true that every time I have learned to have a better control of my emotions, as a human being it is common to experience great joy when the cryptocurrency I hold pumps, and feel a huge desperation when I see that the prices plummet.

However, precisely because of the experience I have gained over the years, I have learned that despite the mixed feelings that I may feel in my inner self, I must adhere unrestrictedly to a solid strategy with great discipline, and attached to a adequate money management if my desire is to stay in this business for long years.

A little bit tensions but of I control my emotions specially when bitcoin last few days goes into red again and almost 10 percent of their price will dumpings.

Controling the emotions is very harder as human being but we need to do and I agree being a human being can't avoid to get nervous if the price goes drops.

Has it ever reached your target price allowing you to sell or has it always fallen and corrected before? How do you feel about missing out on your target price?

indeed you can get pleasure when prices go up, but usually the price increase of cryptocurrency can be a trap made by the popes who have a lot of trading capital to look for victims, prices go up and immediately fall immediately, this movement is very dangerous.

The bull race started. Now we need to get the right position and wait and make the sale when the time comes. Those who wait in the bear market should wait a little longer.

The technology is simply a very high risk. It is almost like gambling.
The biggest problem is the risk of being stolen from in addition to the fact that developers seem to simply walk off the job.
The coin then dies or swaps and if you were not aware, a swap has an end date so its the end of your investment.

This is a business for savvy computer programmers that automate their trades and masternodes.

Of course I am happy and proud whenever the bull runs .
Happy of my profit and proud that I hold it ,
And also sad because even though I wanted to invest back in February I couldn't because I didn't have any spare money to invest.
So sad to miss a great chance like that but who know's maybe I could still make it next time.

I do not want to say this to gambling market. But some projects are so empty. How to qualify? At least, I think it is more logical to choose coins that put a product in front.

Well when BITCOIN rises in price the feeling is incredible, knowing that I have accumulated bitcoin is very good this, the expectations and the desire to continue rising becomes stronger, however when there are falls I take them as something normal in the market, many times corrections that are necessary to catch those operators who distrust or have some panic in the market, for when the market goes much lower, I always look for the ways of why it happened and what can be the next move, uncover all the options to see if they continue in bearish trend or recover to achieve some kind of stabilization.

When I realize that the bitcoin is still rising, I think of lambo, but always keeping the faith that it can rise even though the current market situation is given by the accumulation phase where volatility is immense and anything can happen , it may rise a lot and come down suddenly, are things that we are willing to endure in this bitcoin speculative market.

I was very happy when the coins I bought increased dramatically, but because of the small capital, only made a little profit, I kept trying to keep my emotions and finally thought about holding them back. For some momentum, I have to do a cut loss to determine the next best buyback position.

well my emotions are always controlled because I am not a quicktime seller so I invested for long time investment so whenever the market changes is not most of the time affected me because if you have invested long time you don't worry about that

That is one way of controlling roller coasters of crypt highs and lows  ;D

I think long term investors still should evaluate the market because if they sell high and then buy when the bull run ends and there is a correction, that might make more sense.

Don't miss the opportunity when you see the price of coins that you hold starting to move up, you should immediately take action to immediately exchange ethics or bitcoin because the movements in the market today are still unstable and it seems that this is a positive signal and the real bull market will only begin This year.

Its just sad when you dont have enough money to buy more when its on bullrun, happy because our losses last year have begun to close, the enthusiasm to work harder and invest in crypto began to rise
LOL, and the saddest thing is when you don’t have money to buy enough bitcoin, there are some investment that no matter the increase bitcoin gets, there can never be increase that will be enough to even buy.

It amazes me when I hear that people buy from 50 BTC an d above at once, nit to talk of whales that are buying an outrageous quantity, this is why some of us go for low cheap coins hoping that the will get to be the future bitcoin. Am I right?

All fingers are not equal and I am sure that one of these days will be our lucky day too, where we will have enough money to invest heavily in bitcoin and take heavy profit, which is what I call excitement.

Of course ;D I have experience, 2017 ago I feel regret having sold my coins on vacation. Why I regret, because after 2 weeks after the holidays, my coins are up and imaginable can be hundreds of millions. At other times it is also so wrong predicting the price in the market when lounching after the ICO price.  ??? 8) 8) ;D
yes compared to 2017 this rally is way less not every coin price are raising now trend have changed many people know about crypto currency now and the price wont raise as 2017 some good coins will give good money if you have invested in good coins and projects and it that we can leave our job and go to world tour

When I saw BTC hit $8000 yesterday I feel like this is really the start of bull run but then again it now back to $7200 which make me think it's just a small pump and whales are just manipulating the price  ;D .
Don’t worry, provided we don’t follow them to dump too, there will be an increase soon from new investors, when the market hit that $8000, I also was tempted to sell off, especially when it started staggering on that value for more than 2 days, but a part of me advise not to give in to my emotion, our destination is the ATH and I am sure we will get half way of that ATH before the year runs out.

I wish it was other coins that I have that is mooning like that, I would not have really think twice before selling them, especially my coins that are below the top 20 on coinmarketcap, would have sold them to continue investing in bitcoin.

So it seems you play it cool and are happy to play the waiting game before buying and selling. Lots of people panic buy and panic sell thinking they might mies the ample opportunity to maximise gain and minimise loss.

Yes prices change frequently but to know when to jump in and out of sales is essential :)

be patient again, the bull will come again with a larger volume. yesterday was a small increase, we must be patient to run a bigger bull. we will see it this year.
