whether someone will panic again and sell their bitcoin that they just bought a few days ago when going price up and now the bitcoin seems to have started lowering the price again, I hope it won't do it, because the market can suddenly rise and fall very quickly , so we must be calm and not be too hasty in buying or selling when the market moves up and lowers prices.

We can sell or buy no matter what the market situation is but the best thing to do is to handle our emotions well. Most people who have accumulated bitcoin will surely sell their coins because they're afraid of the possible downfall of the market again but if we're a crypto enthusiast, panicking has no place for us.

surely there will be people who panic and sell their btc, even though they know it has just been bought. but suggest for now it's better to keep an eye on it, don't be too hasty to make choices. I think when the market is being dumped or pumped, doubt is better than taking risks. what's more when they are late and at the end of the trend.

Bitcoin is a volatile asset and at that you have to learn not to rely 100% on any market condition, we have to learn on how to use bitcoin for it short term goal rather then leaving our hope on time, time don't count when it cone to bitcoin but what count is the price as at that particular time.

The people would surely panic specially those who are new investors.
This could be the reason why the price has drop down in such a short period of time.
They would panic since they aren't used to this crypto market cycle yet but for sure after a few months or maybe a year they would get used to it just like us.

Panic selling is actually happening right after the panic buying. People are unaware that they're also contributing to the sudden changes in the price of bitcoin. A strong holder would know when to hold and when to release. We wouldn't reach our target goal if we'll always doubt about the market.

This drop in price is probably people shorting thinking that everyone will panic sell once the price dramatically goes down and then buy at the bottom before the price go up again.  Others probably are taking their profit, if they bought at around $3.5k  exiting at around double that amount is a big win already.  Let us see what will happen in the next days, I hope this is just another higher low before Bitcoin breaks its 2019 highest value .

I agree. No need to panic, and then it will only be a temporary thing. Bitcoin went up from $6k to $8k too fast, it's natural that this growth is followed by a correction. I think it's actually very good, because such gradual increases and drawbacks lessen the risk of a sudden rapid drop, followed by a long recovery period. Bitcoin is holding at $7k, and if it manages to stay this way for a while, it's already a big step forward.

They are actually aware of it, but they simply don't care since the only thing that matters to them is recovering their profits asap. They don't care that they are harming the market in a negative manner.

This entire situation literally started thanks to a whale which could have been avoided if he stuck to OTC platforms.

I think is some correction but also some whales sell some good amount of bitcoin because they want to get a profit, and now maybe will stay again some time at 7000$ range, until something happen and will grow again.

I do not see anything wrong with the fact that now Bitcoin has dropped in price by almost a thousand dollars. He must periodically retire to correct his course. Only in this way can it grow further. Therefore, its current decline, on the contrary, is a good sign of its further price growth. A few days later, Bitcoin should again continue to grow in value. However, I do not expect it to increase very much in price this year.

Someone must have pushed the panic button for the whales as it seems that there had been thousands upon thousands of bitcoins offloaded earlier today. Also, some people already panicked in line with that dump resulting for the price to touch sub-$7000 briefly. Anyways, some correction is still good in order to guarantee that the next pushes is already in good shape and no sudden drops in price would be seen. One way or another, correction and dumps are going to happen, too, so this is all good IMO.

This is just a normal price movement of bitcoin and nothing is change it is the same as what happens past years ago before the price hit $19k.

I think there are many holders who bought bitcoin at the price of around $3k and sold just now. So that he won't lose the opportunity of making a profit while the price is increasing.

Example: I bought 2 BTC at $3200 price Last January now I sold it at $8,000 how much profit do I make?
I made $16000 and my profit is $9600 which is big.

Now, the price is around $7k I can reinvest and buy bitcoin again at the current price to hold again for the next bull run.  


So bitcoin is not always increasing there are times that the price will drop because there are holders already made a profit and they don't want to lose the opportunity while the price is increasing.

it really goes to show you how thin this market really is. someone dropped 6-7k BTC onto bitstamps order book and BOOM, the market is down 20% in the blink of an eye.

this is why it's good to be patient with bitcoin entries rather than fomo buying. bitcoin's lack of liquidity basically provides built-in volatility. the market provides lots of second chances to patient buyers. i had a couple bids hit in last night's carnage, no complaints here!

i think the most people are the once that buyed in on around 5000$ and now we reached 8000$ so they can sell with profit ;)

Bitcoin price has drop again,but I'm not surprised because that is the dynamics in Crypto and market as well, there are so many factors to this of which I want to say that bitcoin holders should learn to control their emotions.

Yes and that's what we really have to do. But it is very difficult to deny that there are still many people who cannot control their panic and choose to sell at a loss.

This situation has gave a learning for them that to buy bitcoin depend on hype, I mean most people though that to buy bitcoin when its price got pumped is the best time to buy because they will get an instant profit from the increasing price. But, sometimes and most likely always happened in the market bitcoin before that when the price comes then there must be a correction. And this is happening now, when the price bitcoin continue to increase when its price from $4000 and just in a few days its price touch $8200. So as there are many people who has cheated from the current situation. For this year the best time to buy bitcoin is when its price is $3200 and I guess this is what distinguishes between old players and new players.

well you have to learn the difference between a pump, rise, rally/bull run, moon/bubble, spike, fomo and dump, dip, correction, crash. these may look the same but they are very different. so when you say "it is starting to fall again" it means you don't know this difference (you are not alone though). this is a fall but it is only a correction. look at the past  couple of weeks. price has gone up from $3k range to $8k range and now it is coming down from that $8k to $7k. that is called a correction.
of course in bitcoin market when such a drop happens, many start panicking and manipulation is always present so it sometimes gets bigger than usual meaning a $1000 drop (12%) instead of a simple correction of 5%

It is a natural price reduction after strong aggressive growth. Bitcoin turned out to be overbought and then a value correction occurred. The usual thing with any traded asset on any exchange. If you study the charts of any stock with rapid aggressive growth, then this situation can be seen often.

Too fast to conclude that, the price of bitcoin only dropped a few percents and I think it's only a price correction and that doesn't indicate if bitcoin will return to the bear market.

Exactly, you are right we have to face the corrections because once the price of Bitcoin increase too much fast and high value and in the same way, the price of Bitcoin will fall and we need to accept it. As a trader, we have to accept both the upwards trend and downward trend in order to wait again the price starts increasing.

You are right it too early to start complaining about the price and I believe we are just correction stage which will not last long, bitcoin is gradually recovering at this moment and that is a great movement for the bull to continue running. Am very hopeful that in the next few days ahead the market will be in great shape again.

I buy and sell bitcoin in a quick successions. I am  speculator and that is how most of my friends and group members make their money. Since the market can suddenly just push up and begin to correct in quick succession, then riding the tides is sometimes good for a speculator, BTC/Fiat. If no traders or speculators, how do we get the volatility to make people shout for joy?

I think according to the OP said when you have to be calm in determining the choice to buy or sell does not mean you have to stop to sell and buy. what is meant by OP is you have to be calm, don't include emotions in making choices, and don't panic. You have to organize it well, you have to research the market, because it could be after that the price rises again, like today.

If you are newbie to investing bitcoin and then I'll say welcome to a lucky place of an investment. I say it just because we never know bitcoin will come to up and we never know also bitcoin price will come to down. Especially when its price has been up and suddenly its price falling down again and that all thing has always happened in bitcoin price.

But, I got knowledge from some users on this forum, when bitcoin price up you must be a trader but when its price goes down you must be a hodler if late to sell my bitcoin when its price has been down. I must be a trader because with I look at the candle pattern I will know the manipulation candle and the candle that changing by a trader. With the result that, I can eschew the manipulation when I see the candle so as I shunt from a losing.

It seems professional  and whale traders are making big profits by now. Only ones who didn't sell are us, small time traders or simply put long run holders. I guess I don't have any technical skills and I am not analyst. When we are talking about Bitcoi nthe only thing I knew is to hold unless there is an emergency or it is badly needed.

As expected this is only the first part of a new cycle or this will be a trap that the whales set up for the fry to grow.

as a trader you should not accept things, instead you should try to predict them. otherwise you can not call yourself a "trader" and this fall was predictable to some extent. meaning when price went up without a correction you could have expected a correction to happen and as a trader you must have been ready for it instead of accepting it after the fact.

Nothing to be bothered honestly since we always have this and besides this correction actually what every trader is waiting to have a good entry. So if you guys will panic and don't take advantage to this, well you're all fool for letting this chances to slide.

That's the name of trade or investment in seconds the price can go down, this does not become a negative thing, in fact some people use this moment in trading / short-term investment. The advantage is pretty, so you know the price, graphics and analysis frequency.

If he thinks that is a good way of making a profit, then he can do that way so he can wait for another buy price which will be lower than before. That is the function of analyzing the coins so he can find the right time to buy and sell, and even he can decide to sell the coin in what price. It's probably just a correction. The price of bitcoin was around 6K before the rise and now it's stuck above 7K, a 1K rise in price and the price is rising further more as of now. Even if we don't see a rapid bull, bitcoin has already started to climb the gradual ladder up from the low of 5K.

It is always not wise to do FOMO. It is also not wise to panic sell when the price falls after you FOMO. Luckily, the price seems to have strong support at 7K. Those who bought at the top of the current run can relax because the price is slowly recovering. I can feel that it will test the 8K level again soon.

That will be a correction because so far, we see bitcoin price is up and down, and there is a sign for bitcoin price to go up.
We are now seeing bitcoin price can change from the red candle into green candle again, but we don't know if the green candle will stay like that and will give a chance for the price to go back to the last price.

I do not care about the price at all. I don't give a shit to the BTC price all I care is if BTC has any value. I am interested in the technology and not on its price. and I am sure that not a lot of people are gonna get affected by the little price drop. there are even people who did not have any coins at all.

I don't think that Bitcoin will continue to come down. It has already started to rise again. Of course there will be rises and falls in the market but that does not mean ,for example, some fall in price will constantly continue.  

I think that it is just a temporary fall like others and the rise of Bitcoin will continue and it will reach 9k dollars in no time and after that the increase will go on like that and break a new record.

Some didn't aware yet BTC exist, so when time comes chances are more will get to know btc due to it's use and value that can affect the price too. Sudden drop doesn't mean loss, there will always be the next incline to watchout.

There is good progress in the market, and now the price has gone high above $7800. The correction have taken place leading to a stabilized growth that have now made this happen this overcoming all the factors that paused the growth and made it turn bearish. Following bitcoin is the growth of altcoins, and ethereum too have touched $250.

I bet that surely there are people who will go in and out of the market when market makes movement. More conservative traders or investors will want to scale out their portfolio when market makes a move as one one knows what will happen to the market the next few minutes or seconds. So in order for the price to really grow and stabilize what the market really need is long term traders and not speculators.

I see here the bitcoin is only experiencing a price correction and most likely will rise again and my advice is not to panic or you will regret it

I think, the market always makes us panic.  reality.  our biggest enemy comes from us alone.  fear, doubt, that is our real enemy.  generally.  everyone understands that bearish is over.  so crypto users will hold their assets.  but some beginners choose to sell because of FOMO.

Agree becasue, currently the market has started growing again, and we are expecting another bull run. Investors that do panic are the new investors who don't understand the volatility of cryptocurrency. Have be holding from 2017 and waiting for the right time to sell off my portfolios for profits becasue i bought in ATH in 2017.

Right.Bitcoin price is rising up again so we should not panic immediately once its price turns down again because i'm really confident that this will lead into a bull run in the next few months.All we need to do is just keep holding our coins so we can sell them at our goal price and gained huge profits from them.

Time the market wisely and you will have a sizeable quantity of Bitcoin in your possession. If you hold it for the long term then you will have a large value which you can choose to either spend or invest.

This kind of decrease in bitcoin is not new as it is only part in it's price increase. You should study the market if you really want to last and earn some profit from it.

Being calm is a good thing to do and if you don't panic easily there is a good chance that you can hold your investment well and sell it to your target price. It's better that you should trust your investment so you will not panic once the price will decrease.

There are people who often panic and rush to sell their coins at the slightest price drop. With cryptocurrencies, such tactics are not always successful. The market often shows its instability, but at the same time there are often jumps in the Bitcoin price upwards. You need to be patient and wait for the right moment to sell coins. However, it does not have to be all coins ;D

Many people are comparing the recent btc pump to 2013 pump, when it also went like crazy, then pulled back to much higher prices than the bottom, accumulated for a while, and then continued its forward movement towards new heights. That's a likely scenario for 2019-2020, but it will take a longer time as the market is much bigger than 6 years ago. I would not recommend to sell now if you're aiming at the span of 2-5 years.

Even i am not caring about price fluctuation in a mean time i am accumulating as much as bitcoin which i can . Not only  bitcoin even some other altcoins like ethereum , EOS ,NEM which i believe fundamental logic and purpose .

I believed many people don't have charting skills to analyze price movement of cryptos particularly bitcoin whenever there is a bullish runs definitely a pullback is imminent thus in such a scenario newbies will start panicking sending wrong signals FUDs just as it is played out now bitcoin had retraced from $8900 to $8400 and the price had started pumping again, this is price action and does need any cause for alarm.

And that happens again, where every panic will never produce good rewards. It is evident that the bitcoin pump has come again and now panic is trying to screw it up again.

The best way to go indeed. Hoard what you can and buy with set fiat amounts on regular intervals works fine for this.

The current situation is still quite normal after such a long period of the bear market. So far, Bitcoin has risen very well over the past two months and is not worth waiting for more from it this year. I mean that this growth rate will be the maximum for him this year. He will often stop growing or go for a correction and is generally good for him. But he should not, with such growth after some time fall in price.

In one escrow group I belong to, this is to beat exchange fee and bank charges, people are hoarding their bitcoin because of slight correction, forcing us to make use of the exchange again. I think people are wiser now not to sell off their bitcoin. 

Always monitor the price of bitcoin.so you will know when to buy or sell your bitcoin.
For the past weeks I observe price of bitxoin in week days will gone up and when the time of weekends goes down.so its up to you how you use your bitcoin.

Bitcoin price movement  is not stuck on the runny patern, there always be upward trend and down trend. If you only look that the bitcoin price movement always up continously then it's impossible. The price will meet a correction for a while after the price following the trend again. The falling down bitcoin price at this time I believe this is only correction before its price has increased in a few hours. So, I'll not clamp down for those people who sold their bitcoin when its price continoue to fall because they had a strategy to make a profit.

A dip is organic and it is healthy for the growth. Some people to cashout when they get profits, you can't blame anyone for that.

This is something that we should always remember when we are in a bull run, there will always some sort of manipulation along the way only to create a big dip in a short period of time, but I am very confident that Bitcoin will eventually make a rally and create a long bull run, every great thing are happening now on Bitcoin.

Those who are doing panic selling are the newbie investors who are just throwing their money in an investment that they don't know how it works.

You can say don't be too hasty blah blah but price of Bitcoin will not go up or down if there are no hasty investors ;). The best thing to do right now is just hold your bitcoins if you are not good in trading  :)

This is practically normal. Volatility in the cryptoverse is normal. Correction is normal (uh I mean, healthy correction).

For me, I think it happened because Bitcoin’s rise is so parabolic at a fast phase. It was expected that when the momentum stops, the market nosedives to correct itself.

If you take a look at the chart where Bitcoin quickly gained value, it could go down quickly as well. In some instances, there’s a time where Bitcoin’s value gone down that fast, it quickly recovered as well.

It’s because buyers are waiting in line for the dip to strike in purchasing their targeted buy order amount.

There’s nothing to be complained here. We’re all good here. Bitcoin is here to stay for a very, very, very long time.

The market is unpredictable and traders sell thier btc if they see that they already profited, and buy back at low price. Btc falls when traders cashing out thier profit and then buying again at low price,  buy low sell high .

the manipulation always comes when there is a correction and it always uses the fact that many newcomers can't see the difference between a correction and a crash. so when the small drop (aka the correction) starts they panic and start selling thinking it is a crash.
these people either lose a lot of money and leave or lose some money and learn from their mistakes. that is why i think the market is growing stronger every year.

If we invest on bitcoin we should be used to it. Not just bitcoin but to other cryptos as well. Crypto market is very volatile so it's just normal to see that sudden ups and down. In my opinion it's hard to be a casual trader here if you have a small capital. It would be better if it should be a long term investment. Only people that are called whales or have a enough buying power when price still goes down can earn profit.

don't expect that bitcoin will continue to rise. if you see on the bitcoin chart it always goes up but there will be a time when it will stagnate and after that it will definitely go down. so every price increase will definitely have a time when the price will drop. but don't worry because bitcoin will definitely continue to rise after several times the price drops

This panic created such dumped that needed to survive if you wanted to maximize the profits, investing to this currency will have a lots of challenges
to suffer, if you want to succeed you need to take the risk and wait for another ride.

I agree, most people who do panic selling are new to bitcoin but there are always who are familiar to bitcoin
but still do it. most people who have been trading with bitcoin for a long time see this fluctuation as a normal thing
for bitcoin to do and they know that it will always gonna go up although there is a right time to sell your bitcoin

Regardless of the btc's current situation, we can still gain from the bear market or bull market. I am mentioning about the swing trading and margin trading. There should be a correction here, the bitcoin price is not at all low in any economic standards, the current price is $7,754 which is more money than many people earn annually, never listen to all the articles as the market situation will not change with those yellow paper news, there was a time when these news could impact the market, but not now, the movement from $3 K to $9 K was really fast and we need to wait for sometime to see the price breaking the resistance at $9 K, but do not expect that to happen in a short period of time.

BTC is not falling for nothing. It falls and rises far above the price at which it fell so I am even happy to see Btc in this current state because that's what the big guys are doing to let us sell our precious coins when they cause the panic sell syndrome

Right attitude calm to make self stay patience to avoid panic and make wrong decision every minute and hoirs their have a price changing bitcoin since yesterday moving quick because of high volatility fluctuations.

It is very well known that prices fall faster than the growth that preceded them, I am worried that the current growth in the price of bitcoin was too fast and instead of levelling off at a price close to where we are now we could see another huge drop in the price and go back close to where this movement started, that will be a huge blow against all of those that believe this is the beginning of a sustained bull run and will likely cause any meaningful recovery of the market to be delayed even more.

No need to worry if you see the price of Bitcoin to start to drop again. This is very normal. Others call it market correction after a sudden price increase of Bitcoin price and this not the first time that this happens. If we look at how much did the price dropped its just 13%. Way back the price drops to up to 25% and yet we are still here.

Well, that’s true this is normal because of the pump and people should understand the cycle because bitcoin can’t go up high continuously there must be a resting period and that period is the best time to buy. The drop is soon to end, expect the price up in coming days.

That is all true but for some reason people like to panic. And they expect once the price is in the rise that it will stay there not thinking at all about volatility and possible corrections. At the moment we are experiencing actually very small correction and I don't expect some bigger fall but the growth neither. It seems that price will continue to fluctuate in the current range.

Only a few days passed when Bitcoins started increasing in price.
But now they are going down in a rapid speed also.
But i would say don't panic in these types of situations.
When there is a pump, the  btc goes down and again increases.
So don't get panic and sell your coins.

It's because they only want the price to keep on rising. They think that fall is a bad thing which is actually not at all. If the price is rising, they think it's continues, no wonder they also think the same if there's fall, they also think it's continues. What a mindset, too much positive and negative. As of now, the price is recovering from the recent fall. They should think of this possibility, recovering rather than always panicking if there's a fall.

It's important to be calm than to think crazy thinks because of falling of bitcoin in the market. Relax it's just a little drop but it will move up again so don't be panic and stay hold what you have.

To get profit from bitcoin, patience is needed because the price of bitcoin is indeed unstable, and don't be easily trapped panic at every drop because it will make you sell low.

True, everyone (especially the newbies) wants that bitcoin and altcoins prices always move up and up and never fall down. :D  When the price started to dump, these people start crying and regret that either

1- They did not sell in profit  OR
2- They bought too high in the upward rally   

It will rise and fall, it's been normal to bitcoin, that movement is happening even before, don't be surprise on that.
Changes this year is good so far, so I will complain on that, bitcoin is at $8000 now after being dump at $3000+, that's a great improvement so far.

It's not bad to have a small reversal for just a week or so, it just means that people can buyback again after they sell their Bitcoin to a high price. I hope you understand what the market's been doing. It won't keep growing if all of the people are selling someone must have to buy too, in order to move the supply and demand of the market.

Because of how some people understand the market they always feared or panic whenever some traders tried to take profits from gained in a bullish trends. One thing we should know is that it must happen and traders must take profits and that means we should remove this panicking from our mind and focus on a long term view.
Like now that we are having up and down in bitcoin pricing it is better we should understand that bitcoin is resetting for the next bull run and if that did not come up then expect serious dumping.

do not be too surprised by this price movement, before going up to $9k the price also rises and falls repeatedly isnt it? the correction is reasonable because traders will certainly secure profits when the highest price occurs, and that makes prices fall yesterday, but as you say that this is the time to go back to buy

This is something that bothers me, I understand the desire to make money since we all want the same but it is as if newbies do not understand that it is impossible for a market to pump forever, at some point the price needs to go down and they need to be ready to take their profits and sell their coins, maybe this has to do with the fact that most of the time when I see newbies discussing strategies they are always discussing entry strategies and they never discuss exit strategies.

Maybe what they aim is instant money, so they only think if they can get profit with bitcoin and other cryptos. So they not really think how to manage if lose, when to sell or in what price that they need to take profit before price down again.

The trading business needs to have two participants, those who needs to buy and sell the project. Forgetting this concept can lead you to being trapped
as you're going to continue holding and thinking that the value will rise from time to time.

They really need to learn it the hard way though. Because newbies thought that the price could go on parabolic rise and then they bitch around when the price goes south. But that's how the market operates and sometimes it's better for them to experience this kind of dump so that they will learn from it.

but this is not a "dump" and it is not even a big drop for them to learn anything. going from $8000+ to $7500 is barely even a concern specially since price is closer to $8k again. a "dump" is more like what we had at the beginning of this year when price despite being above a strong buy support at $6k got dumped and went below it drastically and went down to $3.1k.

Some says it is all about market price correction because of the sudden surge last few days where bitcoin market price were surging. So, if this really because of market price correction then there is nothing to worry. Bitcoin hokders still had holding their btc. Besidres there is a bullish news here that btc will going to go a huge market price increase as it seems that a billionare wants to buy 25% of bitcoin supply for no particular reason. So we exprct a good market price increase.

I think falling again is healthy in finances because when something goes up forever without ever dropping it is becoming a bubble that is waiting to be burst. Remember when bitcoin became 20 thousand dollars without any stops and suddenly started to drop and became 3 thousand dollars?

Well, if we do not have a fall in between of our highs then we will be going down again that fastly once again. That is the reason these falls are healthy and we should be happy about them since without them the price of bitcoin will only go up until it bursts and creates a trouble. I also would like to see the price stay around here for a while as well because just going up and down is not the only option, staying on the same price is also helpful in some situations for people to gather some more money back and reattack the resistance levels to go higher.

The ironic thing to the price rising and falling again is that in average or sum total over that period the price is staying the same, its more stable then a price that keeps rising or keeps falling.    It could be considered a superior market while the price is relatively stable.

I think BTC is strangely bouyant at the moment, I expect it to sell off after stalling around 8000 yet it just keeps on recovering though it has lost its previous regular rise since April or so.    The Feb rise at a slower pace is probably still in play

That was a normal decline, mate. Bitcoin price should be growing continuously? No, this is not the crypto's nature! Bitcoin price went down and now it again started growing! so what do you think now? This pumping will continue? No, we will see the crypto market decline again, that's why we need to be prepared! Just enjoy the present positive atmosphere in the crypto industry!
