Title: Post your mining rigs, Newbie style!
Post by: Bemtje on November 10, 2011, 05:43:04 AM
I'll start off with mine. This is only half my farm. 7 of 14 systems, doing about 17.8 GH/s total.

What you see in the pics is about 7 KW/H

Ouch on the cases for heat, but dang it looks a lot cleaner then anything homemade or worse yet, open air.

Canadian winters. Garage doors on each side. FTW

It's like 0°C right now. It'll keep the vehicles nice and toasty warm in the mornings =D

Posting huge images, that's newbie style alright! I added width=640 height=480 to the img tag in my quote, so the browser resizes them, but you should should resize them yourself and reupload.
note: he fixed the pix

I tried to resize them and upload them to my FTP server, but it didn't seem to make a difference. What's the coding you need to use exactly?

Resizing the JPGs would be best so the files aren't huge, but you can edit your original post and use this code to specify the browser resize the pictures for you:

Code:
[img width=640 height=480]http://members.shaw.ca/dfilipowitz/447.JPG[/img]
[img width=640 height=480]http://members.shaw.ca/dfilipowitz/450.JPG[/img]

Not sure why you bought the cases either. It adds a bit of cost, and probably greatly increases temps; cold winters or not.
Pretty impressive setup otherwise. Any houses for sale near that hydroelectric dam?

As for my rig.. heh, well, I dont have canadian winter here, nor your electricity prices, so my setup is way more humble,  and since Im anal about low temps, it also looks a bit different :)

LOL? Did you not see the picture above? No water cooling, just a Thermal right Spitfire (and VRM R5). Here it is from a different angle:

And yes, those mounting bracket support thingies come with it and are needed as its insanely heavy.

I like things to look pretty. Plus it'll make for a quick sale should I decide to sell. I'm not very crafty with building my own frames / chassis

Can't wait to see the temps and OC's when temps hit -30°C here.
