Title: Bitdeer (Plagiarism) - Theft of another's work.
Post by: lightlord on May 17, 2019, 10:32:33 PM
A cloud mining company like bitdeer, incompetent and outright theft, to pass someone's else work for their own.
Plagiarism. See for yourself

If they can't even either hire someone else to make a banner ad, or make the ad themselves.
Then this company certainly has issues.

It's seems bitdeer use same banner of Bitvest. Most likely they copy paste template and edit content . I don't think this is scam case, so it doesn't belongs to Scam Accusation board. I think Reputation board is appropriate for this thread. Seems you have already tagged them, hope they will reply here with their excuse. Their ANN thread is, BitDeer.com-The Computing Power Sharing Platform  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088280.msg48816457#msg48816457)

Hello Lightlord, did you guys resolve the issue?

Looks like the banner is different now

But the first banner was really a direct copy-paste of BBcodes, Whichever signature designer designed it is lazy as a fuck and need to be known and exposed

Also, they appear to be just another cloud mining scam / ponzi scheme.

No information about the individuals who run the operation, no proof they have any mining equipment whatsoever...

Not worth bumping their thread over. It seems pretty dead.

If I'm thinking the right company this is essentially Bitmain's newest cloud mining operation, they just re-branded and launched under this branch as I believe their previous service was seeing dwindling sales/customer satisfaction. They are as legitimate as they can be for this type of service. Laughable at how lazy they were in creating their own banner.

They are definitely affiliated closely with Bitmain because I can log into Bitdeer with the exact same credentials as I have for Bitmain. I didn't even need to create an account. Also, the hash is legit. I have the option to switch to quite a few pools, and when I log into the pool, it shows my hashrate. However, it does suck that it appears they are using design elements for their banners which are stolen from someone else.

I noticed this banner:

@Lightlord send message to theymos and see if he can do something about this. Hm, maybe you and bitdeer both hired the same designer who was lazy to create something new?

It looks like both banner ads are in circulation.

First I saw this:

And after refreshing the page a couple of times I saw this:

Thanks for reminding me of that page.  I don't remember how or why but I had found it when I was relatively new here, and was fascinated by the wisdom in the factoid slots.

Apparently, so I am told, there exist "people" who prefer to wipe sitting down. From the front. Initial research indicates it could be up to half the population.

I tried, if those are considered not the same, then I don't know what is considered the same.

I support lightlord here, this looks like a blatant copy-paste! There are far too many similarities within such a tiny space as in the elements/spacing/transitions/color palette etc.

Screenshots don't do justice, so here's "both" animated:
