So, My account got hacked and someone started using this account normally as it was his account, all the posts in my profile are made from him and not from me, why would someone use my account for posting and commenting topics? I had emails coming in my mail saying people were quoting me etc, that's so weird lol

You can easily recover your hacked account by the recent changes on the account recoveries.

If you don't like those alert about quoting your posts then there maybe some unsubscribe option will found at the same email.

Sometimes I sign up for a brand new website for me. But when I filled out my email address, I found it was used, even if the email address was under my control.

yes you are right in sometimes it will be giving the weird feeling and using the some other thing hacking is also probably not a correct way in this situation

Are you talking about your bitcointalk account?Can you share with us your hacked account's username?
I remember that hackers used to steal bitcointalk accounts,because there was a marketplace for buying and selling them and also using them as a collateral for crypto loans.I'm not quite sure that btctalk accounts have the same value as before.

What’s weird about that?hackers usually use their victims account to scam someone or to make more bad things to others

You should have put the name of your account so we check it ourselves to analyze what Wouk be the hAckers intention .

And what’s your account rank?if that’s also a newbie then that must be weird lol 😂

But for your own goodness,better create a topic regarding this hacking so DT will give negative trust to that said account to prevent from victimizing others

Hackers can break any security you have on your account the only thing we can do is to be a bit careful. I really feel for op and it a sad thing but encourage yourself and gather mind to develop the current account you are using.

Did you follow some of the advise of the members here?

You can easily recover your account because recovering account from hacks now are very well taken by the forum and they have dedicated people to handle such cases.

So goodluck to you and hope you can get it back.

They want to stay anonymous. 

You should report this to the admin so they could lock the account




Is this a new feature or something?  I am not sure if members get notified when they are quoted in this forum.

 Do you have proof that your account was hacked?

People always had the opportunity to perform well in the situation that they are in but in sometimes when we are seen the things it's really feel like weird so I also think it is the same thing that we are feel like that

Maybe your account was very good looking, I mean, maybe it would have a good hierarchy, and now most people do not have any ethics, besides they are very shameless, they may be using your account to take advantage of it , but you must report it and show the emails proving that this account is legitimately yours, maybe they can help you, but if you still have the email, you can give it in Forget password and try to recover it on your own, if the attacker has not changed your email account is because obviously you still have a good chance of recovering it, but you're right, people are weird, shameless many times, this is the world's full, although not all are the same.

There are many people who do have values, who have instilled in them since they were children and who are good people today, but try to recover your account.

So I assumed you have already your account otherwise you will not be posting this thread. Now, many hackers have this habit of getting into someone's account for the sake of fun and to test their abilities so unless there can be some commercial value attached to your account (I assumed it has not) then this can be the case. Please do everything you can possible so that your account will not anymore be hacked.
