Title: Learn About A Fellow Bitcoiner
Post by: TimeBits on May 25, 2019, 01:00:00 PM
Hello people, I am interested about learning about people within the community of Bitcoin and Blockchain. So I have some questions to learn more about you. Feel free to share your experiences.

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life?
2. What kind of work do you do?
3. What kind of work do you wish you could do?
4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become?

I`ll start.

1. It has changed my life in many different ways, After learning about the genesis block and the message it contained it really had me thinking about banks and money. Blockchain really made me think my life is a blockchain and everything I do, every thought I have is timestamped in time forever. I can`t lie anymore, I went back and fixed all my mistakes. It made me a completely new man and changed my entire perspective on life.

2. I am a jack of all trades, farmer, roofer, bricklayer, streamer and pro gamer, currently I am trying to get good a future e sport warcraft 3 reforged while I increase my knowledge of blockchain case uses, just for fun as a hobby. I will be farming again when I get enough to fix my tractor, feeding people makes my life have a purpose, I create creations and feed those creations to people who can create more creations, even if it is just poo.

3. I wish I could fly drones in space and map the universe for us, I like stuff that deals with psychology and astrology, so something like that.

4. I wish Bitcoin replaces gold and time/duration replaces fiat, and we trade time/duration coins into bitcoin. I wish that the united nations unites to become the United Nation and we have bitcoin as are global reserve currency. I wish somehow Bitcoin evolves into the government, courts and laws, I hope somehow we can add a tx fee that goes to support public projects like space exploration, garabage, food, water and shelters for every person, Run by everyone and voted upon by everyone where the funds go that are in the censuses of the network, Not run by who has the most cpu power or most cpu`s but ran by each user on the network.

Anyways, hope to hear from some other member's, feel free to lie about your work if you don`t like giving personal details or just skip that question, Have a wonderful day everyone.

2. I am an IT student who works part time, I like to take part in projects like bounty, a lot of knowledge that I can get behind money.

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life?
When I was a college student, I wanted to start earning money, but I did not have time for a decent job. I also did not want to do something not related to intellectual growth. Exploring this forum, learning about cryptocurrencies, taking part in signature campaigns gave me a good start. Later on, the idea of decentralization affected me deeper, and now I am rather skeptical about banks and pretty pissed off about the govs and companies that try to keep everything under their control regardless to what's better for society.
2. What kind of work do you do?
Website editing, translations, sig campaigns.
3. What kind of work do you wish you could do?
All of the above plus teaching and researching (unfortunately, I can't do it right now, because I don't live in my home country).
4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become?
I want Bitcoin to become a standard, the new USD, so to speak. If there's a way to make Bitcoin as money possible, I am all for it. If not, then Bitcoin could replace gold and be something people hold as an investment.

I think the more people we talk to about it the better, so if you have spare time, try and alert people of bitcoin and blockchains possibility`s, this will help all your causes, even if you just want the price to go up. The more people that learn about it the better. I have had like 30 conversations this month at least with just random people who don`t even know anything about it or anything about how money is created. Every little bit helps. Ask the cashier every time you buy something from the store, do you accept bitcoin payment? do it enough they will look into it and start accepting it probably.

4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become?
Due to Bitcoin (mostly) I've been able to pay a lot of stuff, including my daughter surgery recently. Been mainly working with marketing / publicity for gambling casinos for over 2 years now and that's definitely what I love to do. Love talking to people, to interact with them, to know how they are doing..
One of the things I want most is to see what we always say, Bitcoin to get #tothemoon  ;D

2) I earn from signature campaigns on this forum, and besides that I do seo consultancy for clients and take payments in bitcoins.

3) Not really sure what you mean by this question, but the answer is same as stated in point number 3.

4) My wish for Bitcoin is that it should be legalised in all countries, and adopted by all people.

1. I was one of those hamsters running in a wheel, before I learned about Bitcoin. I had a 9to5 job and I was busy paying off debt and making new debt. I then started a little bit of mining and also trading in Alt coins and some signature and bounty campaigns and it opened my mind to several other business and investment possibilities.

2. Still in the 9to5 job. <IT> and some entrepreneurial projects on the side.  ;)

3. I would like to own my own chain of restaurants based on a unique concept that I think would be very successful in my country. I am working towards that goal now, but I would need a $100 000 Bitcoin price, before I can launch my first restaurant.

4. Well, a $100 000 price would help a lot, but I would basically want to see it in every brick n mortal shop and ecommerce site on the Internet.

Hope that help a little to know me.  ;)

2.Since I have a main job, then crypto is a hobby for me. At the moment I carry a signature, in my opinion a very good project.
3.Perhaps I would like to write code. But I desperately do not have enough time for this.
4.I would like Bitcoin to be used by all the people on Earth.

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life?

1. Blockchain hasn't created a change in my life yet. It only excites the idea of being a part of the future. But Bitcoin changed my life a bit. Because now all of your future dreams are connected to Bitcoin.

2. I work in the education industry. And I'm trying to make a connection with future generations. I think that many sectors including my sector can use Blockchain easily.

3. I think the biggest regret in my life came out with this thread. Ever since I was a kid, I had a tendency to technology. But somehow I couldn't improve myself in that field. I especially wanted to learn coding. But life has gone through different points. This is my biggest regret now. If I could have gone the right way, maybe I could do advanced studies in coding and blockchain.

4. I think everyone's dream of Bitcoin is different. But the idea is how Bitcoin will change the future. Everyone (including me) is wondering what the peak of Bitcoin price will be. But what we overlooked is Bitcoin's vision. The most free, easiest, most affordable economic element to human nature is actually Bitcoin! This situation of Bitcoin opens a door for us. This door can create a common value on the globalizing world. Think of each country instead of different currencies, we're talking only Bitcoin. As a matter of fact, the economic indicators are more stable and the differences between countries may be less. Bitcoin's vision should be paid attention ... I think there are too many messages for us.

I hope it will be useful.

2. I am a part time worker and work on cryptocurrencies to fill my free time
3. I want to get enough capital to start working as a full time trader
4. I want bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to keep pump and ended the bearish market, so that it can guarantee the lives of the entire community.

Wow I love it when we have to learn from others success, on my part Bitcoin really made me a car owner today back when i was definitely having the interest in Bitcoin but no Body was there to help me through. I just have to put in that effort to learn how it works. And today I got to pay up my bills with Bitcoin to Fiat I don't work, rather what I do is promotions of bounties projects and I get paid at the end.

1. I sold my company & BTC was the next topic that grabbed my attention.  I now devote all of my creative energy to it (outside of having fun, of course)

2. I'm a full-time P2P and exchange trader.

3. Exactly what I'm doing.  I travel the world and work from my bed if I want.

4. The only currency that matters (I believe this to be 2-3 generations away).

Thanks for the cool thread  8)

I believe by 2025, We will be using bitcoin over fiat or gold, and people will measure time into it. Why because this year on my farm I am only accepting bitcoin or time payments, Other farmers will join me.
No problem, Thanks for the cool answers.

Yes bitcoin is a good process to do something."do something"means to say something.to say something own opinion.that what you think.that is a good prosses to earn some money.this is good prosses to save money also.this is a good process better than bank.because we see that when ever we take our money into bank we donot fill save.because we see that there is a chance of lost our money.bit in heir is no chance to lost our money.because thier hanker and police man and infact the bank stuf are also related with the hankers and we lost our money.but heir is no chance of that.beause heir is a password is given to each members account and that is not is to hank the account.so i thik bitcoin is a good prosses to earn money and achieve the money.

1. Rather than change, it helped me financially to have extra income and also gave me new knowledge which I wouldn't have known if I didn't engaged myself with bitcoin.
2. I'm still a college student. While studying, I'm also giving extra time to work part time here in crypto.
3. After studying, of course I want something related to my course and skills, and would still continue giving time for crypto.
4. Hoping that bitcoin could achieve mass adoption and acceptance from the public to be more successful and stronger. And the governments to see the importance of it, not onky the bad sides.

4. My wish isn't pretty much, I just wish that people changed their mind about bitcoin like it was only used for illegal activities. People think that way and I hope they understand that it is not what they it is.

I am a freelancer and crypto changed my life in a big way. Wish I knew about it sooner(2010 would have been great), but fell in love with what it could do for the world once I understood the technology and the concept behind it.

As volatility decreases over time, I am confident that BTC will become a popular payment method in many popular stores across the world which will in turn raise its value over time. Loving the crypto experience!

It haven't changed my life YET. Cause when we say change our lives, it sounds like something so big achievement. But with bitcoin, I learned and discovered a lot which I can say, a starting path that could change my life. I part time do freelance work here in crypto since I still have other things to do outside the digital world. I don't want to work full time here because I don't want to be that dependent on crypto because it's always a risk. I want to work on something I can do both things that I want. Something that I studied and experience being in the field while also having a chance to work with crypto. Bitcoin will be widely spread around the world is what I want to see in the future.

I like this thread a lot, but I'm reluctant to share a bunch of personal details about myself--and over the years I think I've disclosed enough.

I will say that bitcoin/blockchain hasn't exactly changed my life, though I am very happy that I got into bitcoin.  Bitcoin is fascinating to me, as is its community.  One of the things I love about it is that it's a global form of money that people around the world recognize for its importance and its value--and that it doesn't rely on banks or governments for its continued existence.  That sort of relates to this forum, too.  I like the fact that people from all over the world come here and are passionate about bitcoin, even if a lot of them are complete shitposters.

As to the type of work I wish I could be doing, it would probably be in the field of computer engineering.  I stupidly didn't take any computer courses in college, despite the fact that I had ample opportunity to.  For as much as I use computers I have a very shallow understanding of how they work.  I also wish I'd taken more mathematics and maybe some kind of class in cryptography.  Actually I wish I had a "mathematical brain" instead, like engineers seem to have.  I did take calculus and linear algebra in college but never really did anything with the knowledge I gained.

What do I wish bitcoin would become?  I'm not sure how to answer that exactly.  I guess I'd like to see more merchants taking it.  I'd also like to see bitcoin ATMs on every corner.  As I wrote in a post a few weeks ago, I located one in my town only to discover that it wasn't working properly.  The next closest one is quite a few miles away and I don't own a car.  So maybe what I'm really hoping for is that it'll become much easier to buy bitcoin when you want to, and at a reasonable markup.  The ATM I went to was selling it for well over $10k and at the time the price was less than $9k.  Right now if the average person wanted to buy bitcoin, they might not know how to go about it.  If there were bitcoin ATMs all over the place, that wouldn't be an issue.

Great thread, OP.

  • It is providing me a (very small) means of income for buying food and paying bills, while surviving hyperinflation.
  • Mostly IT related. I like computer games, but not as a second job (ie. farming or e-sport professional).
  • Anything not stressful that provides stable income. Your "drones to map space" sounds more Astronomy than Astrology.
  • Bitcoin should become the world's most used currency. Exchanging for national currencies is obsolete.

1. Financial freedom are the key words. But then I am still a lot dependent to banks and the old institutions for now. I guess absolute freedom from them will take time, not even achievable within my lifetime. But I hope my children in the future will enjoy what I only dream of enjoying.

2. It would suffice to say that I am a jack of all trades just like you.

3. I wish I could focus most of my time studying and doing advocacy works such as human and children's rights, environment, climate change, social justice, etc.

4. I wish to see Bitcoin becoming the main global currency. I wish to go to stores, shops, and markets bringing only my smart phone and an eco bag, scanning QR codes in my purchases. But more than that, I wish that the rest of the world will have access to electricity, internet, smart phones, and all these technologies so that they may also enjoy the fruits of development.

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life?
I never thought that I would be exposed with a breakthrough in the financial aspect. With the help of cryptocurrency, I was able to gain knowledge with such. Through this forum, I get to be updated on the happenings world wide—whether crypto related or not. Right now, it has helped me earn money while reviewing for my board examination and it helped me get by with my everyday expenses so I wouldn't have to rely on my parents.

2. What kind of work do you do?
I'm just a part of a signature campaign right now. Outside this forum, I'm not employed yet and as I have mentioned earlier, I still have to take a licensure examination.

3. What kind of work do you wish you could do?
Since I entered this community, I have always wanted to become an IT professional or anything related with this kind of technology. Knowing how to make codes for a particular system really amazes me.

4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become?
It's simple. I would just like to see bitcoin accepted in the whole world, that instead of seeing it as an instrument in crimes, it may be seen as a beneficial creation that could be used by every individual whenever and wherever they are.

Bitcoin changed my life. I start by doing faucet a few years ago, collect some coins like bitcoin, litecoin, dash, doge, and more coins. Then I began to trade with those coins and learn some basics of trading. That is hard, but I never stop learning more and more from different sources. I ask my friends if I don't understand trading. I want to become a trader, but if I can get more big money, I will buy a house or apartment and rent it to people. I want to see bitcoin can rise higher than now while I still trying to collect as much bitcoin as I can to prepare my future. I am sure that we can have a better future with bitcoin.

Firstly, Bitcoin has brought a lot of changes in my life. this is not so long when I couldn't manage my earning source properly then someone introduced to me with Bitcointalk forum and cryptocurrency platform and then I have done more and less well in here, it's a blessing for me, Secondly, I am working with the different sector, so people call me as a perfect freelancer, I have a little firm house and I am going to start another some project. Thirdly, I wish I will be a successful business person who has a recognized identity. and finally, I always want to see this Bitcoin will be the most dominant currency in the world and it will dominate in the monetary world in the future.
