Just curious  ;) I have seen many news about who claim to be satoshi and who might be satoshi. Let say we skip the part where we got the proof satoshi then what.

Will the price go up??
What will he do next ???

Well no one can easily predict what would happend if the real Satoshi Nakamoto will let the public know who he is.But im pretty sure if he will reveal his identity it wont affect price of bitcoin at all.We all know him by name not by his real identity,maybe he can change the price and pump it up if he is a big personality in the financial world,maybe someone like Bill gates.It would create a huge hype that will result to big demand in bitcoin.If and only if he is a well knowned person and hes the real Satoshi Nakamoto

I think at this time it's not important that who is inventor of bitcoin! because there are many developers around bitcoin now, no need searching inventor of bitcoin! but we are definitely intersted about inventor of bitcoin to know about him, because he was inventor of bitcoin and also beginner of cryptocurrency, he is a respectable person as a inventor of cryptocurrency.

I never think about that and don't know what is the answer because everything can happen.
Maybe the price will increase higher, or the price will get down deeper.
Let's that thing become a question because no one will know the right answer, and we don't have to think again.
The best thing right that we can do now is how we can make a profit from the increasing of bitcoin price ;D

it depends on a dozen things in my opinion.
for starters it depends on who the real Satoshi is. for instance if we find out that Hal Finney was the real Satoshi then it could even boost the confidence in price.
the next thing would be the timing of that revelation. for example if we have reached mass adoption and the market has grown to a decent size then it won't affect the price that much but while we are still in a small market that can be easily manipulated, the effects can be big and in any direction which is unpredictable at this point.

Well, if one doesn't want to show the poof he is Satoshi, it's next to impossible to have any successful claim of this sort.
And imho the chances to have a real Satoshi are smaller with every days passing.


Shortly, if we'll ever have a real Satoshi, we'll have an unimaginably big surprise. Then, depending on many factors, as Pursuer also wrote, the price may or may not be affected, and if it'll be affected it may be upwards or down. And the price could even go back onto the initial track after the initial surprise passes.

While this is a big mystery, maybe it is better to remain like that. Satoshi probably decided not to appear anymore in this forum just for a reason to protect bitcoin as completely decentralized cryptocurrency. If he chose to stay then all this will be one man project for many people, and who know where we would be today. In that way he sent a message that bitcoin belongs to everyone, not just to one man.

It may also be better if Satoshi (if he is still alive), remains anonymous for his safety. In this strange world, someone might come up with the idea that he is guilty of creating a currency which is a threat to the regular financial system, and we all know what happens to people who oppose system.

I would not want to see Satoshi is go through what Assange is experiencing in last few years.

Let's say you're the real satoshi. Can you introduce yourself to the public? The man behind bitcoin and seen as threat to banks. It's like making your own death wish. I think that's the reason why satoshi became anonymous, he knows that his creation will make a big impact to the future.

What will happen?Nothing.
What do you expect to happen after we find Satoshi?Armageddon or something? ;D
Maybe Satoshi isn't happy with the current state of bitcoin and he will never reveal himself.

I agree there is nothing that would change when we found out who is the real Satoshi Nakamoto,
Besides I don't really understand why people are so eager to find out who is the person behind the name Satoshi Nakamoto?
They wouldn't get anything from it right I mean they would only get fame there isn't a reward or anything right?

Well, I think there will be a complete ruckus since a lot of people are really curious about the real identity of satoshi nakamoto. I think this will put the real person behind satoshi's name since his creation created a great financial phenomenon. I think there won't be too much change but people will focus on following what the real satoshi would post, announce or say.

What can happen to bitcoin if one day we can finally find the most mysterious man in this side of universe? Well, let us based that on what happened to BSV when Craig Wright filed the copyright to the whitepaper of bitcoin, it pumped high. So that is also possible with bitcoin as there will be an unusual excitement because we can finally meet the man behind all of this. The problem is that it might not happen...at least not as soon as we wish it to be.

If the real satoshi was ever proven without a doubt and he was still alive he would be one of the most targeted men on this planet.  He would need bodyguards 24/7 and top notch security because people would do anything to him to get a hold of his bitcoins.  Its not like you can go steal stocks, property, and bonds from a different billionaire but once those bitcoins are in your possession you are the only owner.

if we find the real identity of Satoshi first that far most the media will create a huger hype about it. Cant say much about price but maybe we will see a pump. But i think personally for the future of bitcoin it will be good if Satoshi remain Anonymous .

I think no one should find Satoshi. If the creator of Bitcoin decided to remain anonymous, then the community should respect his choice. Legend must remain a legend. Otherwise it may happen that the truth about Satoshi can affect the entire crypto community and crypto markets. I don't know exactly how, but I am inclined to the version that is negative. Let everyone leave alone the creator of Bitcoin. It will appear if it deems it necessary. A little anonymity for which he fought will not interfere.

It will not make a difference anymore, that's my personal opinion, we are ok and the whole community have managed advancing the cause of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin without Nakamoto, but if ever we found the real Nakamoto the price will be headinf up and not going down, because we have solve one of the biggest mystery, and that is who is Nakamoto.

Will you stop talking about Satoshi ?dont you think this is enough time that we spend around this forum to talk about Where,who and what is Satoshi?
It is very tiring that the Creator is keeping silent and private but we don’t respect it and yet continue to flood the forum things that he don’t really want.

And about the question?no nothing will happen because Satoshi will remain or retain his privacy even if he was already exposed

It's impossible but lets assume we finally succeed to find Satoshi. There are number of things that may happen as listed below,

1. He will be shot dead by Faketoshi's contract killers
2. His home will be vandalized to search for his 8 billions worth of fortune
3. He will be put behind the bars as a tax defaulter and many other unknown charges
4. He will be given Noble for the most important innovation of this decade
5. He will be sued by group of Faketoshis
6. World financial regulators will start probing him for his grave financial crime

So as you see, there are not much positive things that may happen to Mr. Nakamoto. It's better for us to stop this wild goose chase!

First of all I don't even believe the real Satoshi would ever claim to be himself / herself or themselves (just to start we don't even know if he is a man, a girl or a single person) and even if he/she/they will do so it would not be easy to people to believe it..
As for the price I agree with Astvile, if Satoshi can really prove such a thing and maybe be a well known person/people it could boost BTC price quite a lot.. but what if its the opposite? What if Satoshi is "nobody", would not it maybe affect BTC in the opposite way?
For me that's all an incognito that mostly like we will never be able to solve

As for me, nothing will happen. Also, it would be hard for anybody to find the real Satoshi. I'm sure that he has been doing everything to hide his identity.
He's doing it for a reason and security so it will be hard for us to seek him. I guess it will not affect the future of crypto so I wonder why other people are too busy finding the real Satoshi when it couldn't really benefit them.

I can't stop laughing when Craig Wright self-proclaimed that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. It was very pointless and nonsense.
If I were him, I wouldn't have a single thought that people will like me because I claimed it. Even though this guy has a lot of patents in the U.S, it doesn't mean that he really is Satoshi Nakamoto because the Satoshi Nakamoto's character makes me feel like he doesn't need any attention from the public and he/they don't like any trouble.

Satoshi Nakamoto will remain legend on the history of bitcoin and no one knows the real identity of this founder, let's just respect of what he/they want. Bitcoin works without him/them.

More and more self claims have been taking place till date from different personalities around the globe, now it is the time for Craig who has been into continuous controversy with the white papers. In my understanding it isn't possible to find who is the real Satoshi. Real Satoshi itself shows that everyone is in search of the real one while more and more fake identities getting into existence.

Absulutely you had a point but I think if the real nakamoto satoshi show itself at the public people in this community can get high moral. But the worry is the how he make sure for their security if he  show their real identity at the public.

i think only he can do is upgrade and improve bitcoin because he cannot be control the price of bitcoin only he can do is to help on it,but im pretty sure that if he still exist he wont let happen that he will be publicise coz also for the sake of his own security.

if we found out who the real Satoshi is, of course not the impostor Craig Wright, it can push the price and adoption further, he can shed more light on Bitcoin and Blockchain and promote  his creation, because he is the ultimate authority on this matter, although there will be security risk, but we can all help provide a full security or a company that supports cryptocurrency.

First let's understand why Satoshi hides after the development of the very first cryptocurrency. One famous reason is the security of all bitcoin user including his/her/their who uses the pseudonym of satoshi.

Satoshi Nakamoto created this technology to have a decentralized type of currency which is not controlled by the government or any organizations. If ever satoshi would reveal it's self or if ever that they found out who the real person behind it.

Based on the facts stated above, it is clearly obvious that the security of all the users gets threatened and might result to a lot of people being put behind the bars then eventually the fall of bitcoin

I don't think if we find the real Satoshi, it will have any effect on the price of Bitcoin. He has remained anonymous for a long time and we know him for what he has done. Maybe if we found him, he will just become more famous and that will be all...nothing else.

I don't think the price will go up if we will find the real Satoshi because the demand will remain the same I guess even if he will come out or not. I think what can probably happen is, a lot may praise him for creating bitcoin but I think controversies will arise again because of his appearance, we can't really tell for sure. As for now, it better to just focus our mind on bitcoin rather than finding the real Satoshi because it's a waste of time finding someone who don’t want to be found, besides the price of bitcoin will either rise up or go down because of the demand, doesn’t really matter if Satoshi will come out or not.

No need to find the real Satoshi except for adventure and getting famous sake. If the real Satoshi were to be found, nothing will change in respect to bitcoin price, he's no longer an influencer and bitcoin is an open source and it's decided by the community and not an individual.

It depends on who Satoshi Nakamoto is.

If it is a Ahole like Craig W. then the price will plummet, because investors will fear a million coin dump from a person that are clearly out to sabotage Bitcoin. <BTC>  >:(  Also, if it is some 3Letter agency, people will sell their coins in fear of the possibility that Bitcoin was developed for some surveillance experiment.

The opposite will happen if it is someone that are deceased and that has no access to the Private keys of those millions of coins or if it is a reputable person in the Bitcoin community. The best option is for Satoshi to remain anonymous, because no matter what happens, the Bitcoin price will be influenced.  >:(

In my opinion the price of Bitcoin will fall down again, knowing he has that huge amount of Bitcoin and could sell anytime he wants. So I think it is better for him to be in hiding in secret and never get out.
