Tooncoin: Our main focus is education using "toons" to make the learning process a bit easier for those who are not tech savvy. This is not an ico and there is no premine and no presale.

Why scrypt? We live in a world of ASIC miners. We believe this should be a part of the education on blockchain. With new advancements Scrypt asic miners are also low in price.


We are still in early development. The blockchain has been built and Linux wallets/daemons are able to be compiled from source. You can however download the alpha wallet here  to start mining.; you are however, encouraged to try and compile your own wallets. Detailed guides and videos will be coming soon.

IF YOU HAD THE OLD WALLET
instructions:
open windows explorer (not internet explorer) type in the directory bar %appdata% and hit enter. find the tooncoin folder. Delete everything except the wallet folder. Run the new wallet and youre good to go.

If you cant sync open the wallet click help click debug window and type in addnode 68.183.157.69 add
You should then sync with the new chain. I know its been a rocky start and I thank those who have stuck around.

The whole idea maybe not that bad.  So it is pure educational purpose, nothing commercial? No plans for exchange?

From my experience only few people without tech background willing to learn complicated things like compiling wallet. Maybe because amount of thing you have to learn at once is enormous, and if anything goes wrong it is quite hard to understand issue and fix it.

This coin is far  from dead. 3 729 blocks already mined

This coin does not have one of the most important parts of wallets

after all, what kind of coin is this that has no wallet, has no exchange, has no basis, has nothing.
If you want to do it, do it as it should.

Other coins like grin started without Windows Wallet and they did just fine  and to tell you the truth if you cant make your own wallet then you are vulnerable to any kind of virus some people add in their wallets. This coin has a serious purpose in my opinion and its the only one that try to teach you something.

Good lord people, how am i trying to scam anyone? ive released the source code, you are free to build wallets yourself! I am not selling coins, there is no premine. I believe strongly in fair releases. I am building alpha wallets right now and i will release them and update them as soon as i am done. We are just starting out here.

I would like to look into getting listed in the future. In the far future. Exchanges are part of the crypto ecosystem too.

I'm only going to mine this coin when you have a full windows wallet, because whoever casts the coin has to give the mining conditions. Now you know that I'm 20 gb of scrypt or 280 tb of sha 256, I'm going to 9 years and I think so. Thank you

the miners do not have to waste time to rebuild wallet.s because they already do the main job of mining and then in every 1000 coins difefent they only 1 the value of return of the work of electricity and the time that is lost to do study of the coin to see which more profitable etc etc

https://thepool.life has been updated and is now on the new chain. Unfortunately all coins on the previous chain are null and void and will not be paid out.

We have messaged the dev about this and disabling mining for the coin, payments are getting stuck again as it did on the old chain.

And what about the coins I have already mined and being in my wallet?  I have lost close to 59k coin and now I have none . This is theft

As far as i can see the active has stopped but they have fixed the problem with the network, you have to find the pools that will work, and receiving coins work as well.
