About
KONJUNGATE is based on the cyber novel MACHFELD written 1999 by Michael Mastrototaro.
Strangely, the main character of the book is called Nakomoto and thus resembles the pseudonym of the BITCOIN inventor Satoshi Nakomoto. What a coincidence, right? Anyway.
In his cyber novel, Michael Mastrototaro describes 9 years before Bitcoin appears on the cryptocurrency horizon the mining of KONJUNGATE.
Now 20 years after publishing the novel online, KONJUNGATE appears as a Media Art project to decentralize the funding of international contemporary Artists and Institutions and to give a strong artistic statement in times of budget cuts.

So the novel MACHFELD is materialized again 20 years after its existence, in another language - the language of the cryptography.

How dose it work?
During the creation of the KONJUNGATE Blockchain, 1,25% of the total digital assets was premined. This amount of Tokens will be used as an initial found for distributing the Token to a wide range of international Art-Institutions, to support contemporary Artists and as registered capital for the charitable MACHFELD-Foundation (in establishing) which will ensure further distribution of tokens in the future and its task is to ensure value security.

The art installations
The distribution of KONJUNGATE to international Art Institutions will be realized during several Media Art installations (created by the Austrian Media Art Entity MACHFELD (Sabine Maier and Michael Mastrototaro)).
The media art object has a Masternode of KONJUNGATE inside. This Masternode will generate further KONJUNGATE Tokens during the time.
The generated Tokens will be distributed 65% to the Masternode holder (i.e. Institutions) and to 35% to the Miners. (After 25% Charity Found for the Foundation.)


80% of the premined coins will be used as a gift for artists (in form of calls, scholarships, art-institutions like museums and the MACHFELD-Foundation.

20% for Markting & Development.

I'm confused.

Is the masternode 600 Konj or 600,000 Konj?
Because the first post says 600.000  and that too me is 600. So as the wallet is set up like 1428.000000000 Does this mean that I would have 1428 Billion. I don't Think so. So that would make 600.000 As in 600 thousand, which would also be incorrect?!?!

May seem obvious to some but not to me.
Also, do you have  masternode setup instructions or is it the same as other masternodes?

I don't know what is the actual version there, but if it swap happened there or moved to the new chain, mining on old does mean nothing. You probably waste your energy and time. You need to check what is a correct blockchain for this coin.
As I say in my previous post, sometimes is better and cheaper to leave trash coins rather than spending more time to them.

DEV is working on a fix already!

Hello! Progress update on the PoS fix, we have found some issues within blockparams.cpp, where the rewards are generated. For starters, dont work tired, or else  you'll think x / 17 is the same as (x * 17) / 100. So we have incorporated a patch for that and we'll have or toggle on an ntimestamp generated from fork.h.

Some of you who look at the Github will have noticed the 800+ files changed, we decided to use the best of this situation and push what we were saving for a future fork to now to try and give you guys some of the features we've been talking about, BVAC codes, new GUIs, encryption algorithms, obfuscation algorithms, etc. We've been very busy to say the least.

Finally, I would like to tell everyone that we are working on this PoS issue and that a resolution to the issue will be found soon, we've made the changes I mentioned above for blockparams.cpp for some testing which will either confirm our suspicions, or tell us to approach the issue from another angle (Tis' Nothing but some Development).

We thought it'd be a good idea to do an announcement on:
-Where we are in development
-What needs to be done
-Beta-Testing
-Set Backs, and how we plan to deal with them

First, is "Where we are in development"; as you all know, we are currently fixing a rewards issue, where PoS blocks are paying miners -217.37745097 KONJ, and as a result the check defined in main.cpp, which reads as follows:

       
It's a check that pretty much means "If the PoS reward wasn't what I was expecting, I'll record the fact that it didn't meet those expectations, but as a result I won't permit anyone to sync to these blocks, now will I allow miners to move a Proof of Work block". This check has been taken into account for the sake of beta testing.
So, in short PoS rewards are negative, and people can't move a PoW block. Not exactly a position that people would find favorable, as a result we've put all development of features on halt to focus on restoring the "health" of the chain. As a result of this, as well as the realization of the consumption of Power from miners, PoW rewards will cease on block 700,000. This is to make the chain more green. There will also be an announced fork time where all the rewards will fix itself. On top of this, there will be a feature implemented as to where the winners of the blocks with negative PoS values will be credited the coins they should have gotten. If this approach doesn't work, there is the contingency of simply paying everyone the amount they have lost from the DevOps wallet. On top of this, we've also found out that the DevOps address in chainparams.cpp isn't the real one, so we've fixed that. Now, on to the next topic.
There are a few things left to be done, as we've pretty much covered a majority of it to date, thanks to @pepsinside who wrote the functions in blockparams.cpp to change the blockrewards appropriately, to the following:

The code should be applied after nPaymentUpdate4, which will be defined in fork.h, which will be announced before the final release of the patched wallet. On top of this, there is the matter of the large CPU resources required for the wallet, we will clean up the source at a later date, as right now we're pretty much in a state of emergency to get this fix out. Be on the lookout for programming streams where we'll be addressing the CPU issues and some other issues live. Now for Beta-testing, set backs, and how we've been dealing with them.

Right now, the majority of the required code has been finished, it's just getting the wallet to not crash, which for some reason has begun happening after compilation of newer clients. We've been talking to some other developers on why it might be happening, so we'll definitely get that sorted within 24 or 48 hours of this announcement. So, expect to see a few beta releases on the https://github.com/Konjungate/Konjungate-Core GitHub. If you'd like to help us beta test these wallets, please let us know, we will be more than happy to role you. We'll need all the help we can get. Don't worry, we'll get everyone rolling

Maybe the team can also disclose the links of those scammers, so we know they are the sites to be avoided.
Or has anyone here that has been screwed by those sites? They can post those sites so people are aware of their existence.
Also, are you going to explore your options in terms of another exchange listing? Maybe would be good for the coin to list this on another top CEX.

We have decided to phase out PoW in order to make our chain and subsequently our NFT, Web3 and Side Chain solutions "greener".

The last PoW block becomes block 700000.

In the future KONJUNGATE will lbe PoS / Masternodes only.

Energy-intensive mining will no longer be necessary.

This results in a hard fork on block 606060. We will shortly be releasing a new mandatory wallet.

This update is mandatory, hence you have to change to the new wallet asap as the fork has already happened!

The release include the end of PoW on block 700,000 and will enable our new reward structure shown in the attached image. We have also revised the GUI and prepared it for the further development of our side chain solution. In addition to NFTs and Smart Contracts, this will also enable Web3 and sAPPs solutions. As part of the UUNIGATE community, our chain will then be able to communicate with all the alt coins involved. It’s even possible to “Whitelist” ETH and BSC and other network contracts we deem viable and safe for our users to interact with and allow them to join our fractal ecosystem More about this in a separate announcement.

The refund of the negative PoS rewards will be made one block at a time. Each block after the fork will contains the reimbursement for one block. So it will take around 75,000 blocks to complete the refund. You will get payed back 346.12745097 for each negative reward.

We released a new Test-Wallet for us, which enable users to store NFT's locally at the moment. Once our Server side development is finished, the NFT's will be going live on the Network.

Some words from our DEV:

What's available for users? The ability to create and store NFTs locally, we just need to finish the networking sides then everyone can upload their NFTs. Will be creating accounts for NFTs, artist/user accounts, so that if a user posts something explicit on network galleries, the user can be banned from the NFT network through a consensus of other users (artist or not). We also updated the overall security of the chain to scan for the inputs of every block. This is a security feature, that BTC or most other altcoins (including ETH) lack. It's to protect against a new attack vector that we discovered a few weeks ago, that doesn't care about the size of a network's consensus.

Beside that, we are developing our KONJ mobile app (Big thanks to M1chl) for android and ios including a highly secure messenger, and the possibility to stake coins... more about that soon...

NFT stored on the KONJUNGATE Chain soon!!


Got some good news coming up for the next update. Next update will be published approximately 48-72 hours from time of this announcement for beta testing, after 24 hours if beta testing, we'll upload it for public download. This update will:
-Enable NFT access and creation on the wallet.
-Sidechain creation and management on the wallet.
-Updated checkpoints.
-And an overhauled dark GUI (will be turned into the light theme, for those of us who aren't vampires).
With the launch also being paired with the opening of the NFT bot to most, if not all artists. Bot is paired with the wallet, so what you make on the discord will appear on the wallet as data, and what you make in the wallet, will appear here in the Discord.

Here's a brief update on our progress.
A) LevelDB is no longer a dependency, it was swapped for SQLite. We changed this DB out first to create a groundwork for the BerkeleyDB swap to SQLite.
B) We're in the debugging phase of the BerkeleyDB swap, so pretty soon we should have a beta wallet for everyone to try out. We'll also try to have it launch alongside the auto-updater that way people don't have to go to the Discord to know that there's been a new update.
C) We're resolving the issues SouthXchange are experiencing, by widening some protocols. This was due to some checks being activated retroactively.

We'll have the release on the new branch of the GitHub.

We also completed the NFT voting system while we were working on this, and we're drafting documents up on how to mint NFTs on our Discord. These NFTs will carry over to all future wallets.

Please contact one of us to become a beta tester. We'll need as wide of a pool as we can get, especially because we're swapping the DBs.

Here is a short update about our development and what you can aspect in the near future.

1.) DEV have been doing some upgrades like getting KONJ to compile on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS which broke things for most projects, also updated for OpenSSL 3.0 and the ability to easily build a Qt for Linux as well. There will be a wallet update shortly. Please keep your eyes open for the upcoming announcement.

2.) We will be part of the UUNIGATE community which enable cross-chain solutions for all participating projects. Check out there website (under development) here:  https://uunigate.com/

3.) Once we have all the stuff together our members will be able to create/store (green) NFT's ON the KONJ chain. We are also planing to enable the creation of NFTs on our artist plattform https://wendy.network/ (more than 1k artist have a profile there already)

Right now, we get added to the UUNIGATE https://uunigate.com/ fractal gateway, witch enables NFT s and Smart Contracts ON the KONJUNGATE chain. After this we will get a new wallet release including all of this nice stuff.
MASTERNODE holders will be store our data of NFT's and Smart Contracts in the next step and get rewarded for that.
