Title: Mining Farm with free power Canada
Post by: CryptoMiningCa on May 29, 2019, 06:11:26 PM
We started a bitcoin mining farm with free power in Alberta Canada.
We can host from 200 miners up. We are open to collaborations for those who want to join us.
Remember, power mining costs are close to 0
We prefer Canadians members , so we can meet up and eliminate any scam acusations

You can send us a personal message with your contact details, or for the start just a way to reach out you , and we will contact you.
There is no scam attempt , don't worry about that . We will discuss about it and if we agree we proceed .

Thank you

Low ranking member offering to host 200 miners...
Seems like a scam..

Last I checked there was no "free" electricity in canada.
Could you also tell us how much power 200 miners use.
And how much power your facility has available?

I'm going to say this is a scam until the member provides verifiable proofs of facility.

Mining it can be done ,not only with electricity . There are other ways as well.
We are trying to get people that have miners , preferably from Canada so we can meet as well

Now your talking crazy..

All mining requires electricity be that solar, wind, or whatever.
You have provided such limited information and reply I have given you red trust until proof of facility is provided.

Looks nothing more that attempt to scam miners from people.

Listen , why we would ask to meet if we try to scam . Why we ask for contact details, and why we prefer Canadians members ???
So we can prove what we are speaking

No you listen.

There are enough scam's here without another one popping up.

So your being squashed now you provided no proof of facility you did not answer my question about how much power will 200 miners consume you failed to tell us how much power your facility has.
You have not given any background information do you even know how to host 200 miners?

You are being asked open questions that any data center or mine would be able to answer regarding the power.

The fact you say it's free says it all.

Provide what is being asked and stop looking for a way round this.

Meet and greet won't stop scammers...

We are not trying to scam anyone , we are using wasted gas to run generators , and we are looking for people that have miners to join us and share the profits

So what are your fees? I have some 741s which aren't worth running anywhere else. Maybe you would like to buy them?

The following is NOT to be taken as ANY sort of endorsement!
Ok, fair enough. Using normally flared remote field gas to power mining pods is a real biz with a few folks in that space. I take it you are looking to expand operations or fill capacity (and generate revenue from the waste gas producer)?

For those wondering how that works: Many operations (oil production for one) produce natural gas or methane as a byproduct and if it cannot be economicaly cleaned up and piped to be sold elsewhere it has to be flared (burned). Carbon emission environmental regs fine/charge the gas producer for flaring. However, if you are able to use that gas on-site it is a different story: Yes there are still carbon emission costs but those are far lower than flaring costs.

That lose-it-and-pay-a-lot by flaring vs use-it-and-pay-far-less means there is a window where money can be made. If using the gas can directly generate additional revenue, even better. Sooo... if main powerlines are too far away to directly generate & sell electricity to a power company then why not use it to power energy-dense mining pods. The needed telecom links are already in-place to monitor the field operations so that is taken care of.

So then I assume that the 250kw cap is currently unused capacity from the prime power genset? re: the "Free power" bit, if the maint & running cost of the generator(s) is already paid for by other operations that would make sense. That just leaves the question of what is your fee for hosting?

And um, of course the trust issue of sending our miners off to the remote oilfields & tar-sands of Canada...

You understand clearly what we are doing.
250 kw is average capacity for the small wells, of which there are hundreds.
We are also deploying a 550 KW and hope to find some gas locations that can support megawatt size units.
Looking for miner owners to joint venture with.
Parent is a well established oil company.
