I see it go up and down every day so I'm confused!

Try diversify your holdings and try other altcoins and hold also some doge, the price is where is because the altcoins not have a bull run yet and we need to wait more for a bull run.

I'm trying my best so far in diversifying my coins but today dodge coin raised 15% that's why I'm confused  ::)

If you are looking for a profit, there are many other coins that would provide you better profit than dogecoin.
Dogecoin has an infinite supply and hence it would be increasing in number forever. And with the increase in supply, it's price would keep on decreasing against other coins.

but in the near future, millions and millions of ppl will start dealing in cryptocurrency so holding some of this cryptocurrency won't harm but I'm thinking of getting like a 1kk coin of it  to hold them for the future

go for another altcoin it caused by dogecoin has a very high inflation and that will worth to become long term or im still feeling doubt about that. the only value for doge because that can be used to sent a transaction that cost a very small fees compared with another blockchain but what i don't like from this coin if this coin just like a zombie coin.
A big inflation makes it even worst.

Dogecoin is a cute coin famously used for tipping other users. It is intentionally maintained at a low price to make it easily accessible and keep a flat 1 doge fees. This makes dogecoin a good coin to make inter exchange transfer and a good token for gambling.

You should first take a look at the history of Doge, it's really interesting.
It started out as a joke coin.
It came out at a time when people where just messing around and making things like nyancoin and whatnot.

Somehow it became pretty popular and an avid community gathered around it.
Even after the original dev dropped it, it still lived on because of the small community supporting it.
And then, bam! in 2017 it takes off.
With hype, fomo, and the greatest bull run in crypto history, it really took off.

I think one of the major reasons why is because it was so cheap.
People were desperate to find the "next bitcoin" and were buying up really cheap coins.

You can use them up as a basis whether to continue your interest or better to stay away from this project, if you have lots of time and funds that you can spare for this, try buying little by little and start creating your own strategy, whether long or short trading just make sure to learn from each trades that you've made.

Indeed dogecoin had an impressive unexpected pump, seems it was a late effect of the pump that affect the market in general. But now that the pump has already happened, I think it's not a good idea to invest on it. It's suggested to invest in a currency when it's stable or when it's starting to pump, to decrease the investment risks. I would forget doge and look for another altcoin to invest now.

Don't bank too much on dogecoin better focus your eyes and investments with other altcoins, of course that is aside from bitcoin. I am sure you can easily find other good alternatives just search for them. I actually have some dogecoin and I am just waiting for the right time to dispose of them.

Wouldn't recommend for long term holding or investing, If you want to make money from those pump and dump then It's good.. Dogecoin could really one day be gone, So be careful what you in invest in.

This coin does not bring any new technologies to the world of blockchain, it was invented for a joke. All the more has unlimited supply, respectively never will cost much.

Why dogecoin? Because there are thousands of coins that can be invested instead. One of the most frequently used tactics in trade is investing not one but a few. So diversify your money. Actually I do not see dogecoin as the most potent one, maybe you should invest some portion.

Dogecoin is not a bad investment. It needs a lot of time to see an improve of its price. But when it will happen, it is going to be very fast and high as usual. You need to be patient. Don't put all your bags on one egg.

I would avoid DOGE for now and move ahead with one or more of the top 10 ALT coins as per coinmarketcap. That is my personal opinion.

Doge is a decent crypto and giving constant profits for the long term holders so if you want huge profits then doge may not be the best choice but for long term you can consider it.And when you want to invest on cryptos then investing on a single coin is always risky so you need to have few with potential and some with huge bumps in the recent days.

Yes. Take a look at Doge's annual price chart. It is always interesting that its price will skyrocket once a year. And this year, I have not seen it start. Because you can invest a little on it this time.

i will try my best with this currency and if i will invest in it it will be for a year as minimum

Dogecoin is something like Litecoin, a Bitcoin copy, nothing that Bitcoin couldn't do. That´s why my opinion is that soon all Bitcoin copies will die due to no interest.

The doge movement up and down according to me is reasonable, because the movement of bitcoin is currently relatively quiet in place so this affects the doge price. But take it easy, as soon as the bitcoin grows back then the doge will grow and it's better that you buy and just hold it without worry, if you are worried then it will haunt you.


Yes, I know this, but I don't think this has a big effect on prices. We'll see ethereum, he has the same supply value as the doge but eth can still grow up to 50% since March.

Personally I like doge coin but I must say  that it is not worth for investing on, maybe we shoul day trading.

Doge is alt with big supply, if you are a good trader maybe it an opportunity for you to make profit,  wouldn't advice you buy to hold presently, when alt season start it will be good to buy and hold.

Short term or long term Doge is not good for the investment even the price of movement showing very difficult to get decent profit from Doge trade but if you want to i think you can put small amount of money for long term purposse although not guarantee will get profit at least Doge price always be stable because as far i remember in the last several years there was no deep dumped for Doge coin

I would suggest that if you have small funds then go with dogecoin and if you have decent funds go for eth, ltc and ada type of coins as these coins are potentially huge coins in my opinion and they can confirm it in next few months by reaching new highs, im overall bullish about these coins.

Doge coin isn't bad  but may I ask why Doge, don't limit yourself. Make your research, diversify, mix them up and don't base only on a particular type of coin

Though it started as a meme or joke, it evolved to one of the most useful altcoins in trading. As for me, I've been using doge for transferring money from one exchange to another. But holding it for long-term? I haven't done that yet. If you are an investor, think of the benefits that it can give to you, not only on short-term basis but its potential long-term impact on your investments.

well the answer to ur question would be because of its low price and stability + its in the top 100 currency and could be pumped up at any mint

Well it's the crypto market and you must see it go up and down, so I don't really know why you are surprised about the price of a coin going up and down when it's not a stable coin, it is being traded every second and nothing can stop that unless everyone lose interest in the coin, but I don't think that would ever be possible for dogecoin since it's one of the coin that have been existing for a very long time now, I think you need to study how the market works so that this kind of things is not going move you anymore.

This decision is what you need to make on your own. I've had to follow TAs and advice from friends in the past that didn't actually give me what I want. I feel I do better when I make decisions on my own than follow what people say. I advice you try doing same.

I'm not surprised but as I said I'm confused, cos of the dogecoin history maybe of cos of its price that makes u wonder if it's going to be pumped or not

Doge is one of the most stable coins :D It aways stay in same range whether bitcoin dump or pump..

That is why DOGE used as transfer between exchanges with lower fees and cost when bitcoin pumps... And Doge pumping during that time.

If anything happens, there are zero people mining DOGE so it's a big risk holding it IMO.

You haven't studied the coin well enough to ask such questions. Dogecoin is a coin that was created as a joke and there is no fundamental reason for its growth. The advantages of this coin is that it is convenient to use it to transfer funds between wallets or exchanges, as the commission is very low.

It's an old coin, with a huge support by community, but I repeat, you have to study, it's not easy to gain money with DOGE

for dogecoin in my opinion it is very risky because if the movement drops just a little if we have a large amount of dogecoin of course the loss will be enough so if the price goes up the profit is also very pronounced, but for security it is better to invest the other because it is better and maybe your loss can be minimized

While going for the investment for the cryptocurrency, your first choice should be the old coin which are evolved after the Bitcoin. Among them I think Dogecoin is the great bet for the betting like the Litecoin. So, invest in Dogecoin and wait.

so, you should learn to find a good buy price in the bottom and sell it in the top buddy,

doge is a meme coin and usually doge will follow the movements of bitcoin, so this coin is good enough for investments, but if you want to invest in altcoins with huge potential i think ethereum is the answer  ;)

with use of strategy as trading on short terms of plan might be in luck to gains with the returns as movement on chart with the market index. to run of system with use of supports of work on tasks with evaluation terms with previous entries.

Yes, dogecoin is a good coin too for me. I am making a lot of money from dogecoin from the last pump, and now the price is at a low price, I am sure it will increase higher again. Besides that, if you check on the market, you will see that there is a big amount between order buy and order sell, so there are many people who want to buy dogecoin and make a profit. Dogecoin is one of the underestimate coins so far and sometimes, and dogecoin can make us amaze of the movements.

Great observation. Few people know or notice this. In fact, the price is almost unchanged for 5 years . At the end of 2013, DOGE costs about 40 satoshes and today it costs the same. Moments when the price fell below are rare.

Yeah that is why its good for trading, just buy when it goes under 40 and sell when it goes to 50-60 sat     :P

Dogikoin is one of the oldest ionnets on cryptospace that has worked well.

But better to place sell orders form 50 to 100 and buy from 5 to 30 ;)

The best thing on Dogecoin probably is a support from a big name Elon Musk. Elon Musk was silent for a long time to cryptocurrency and recently he expressed great support to Dogecoin.  :) He even joking about being CEO of Dogecoin.  :D

Anyone who is aware of the history of Dogecoin will never invest in that currency. It was created as a mock cryptocurrency, and basically it is a simple ripoff of Bitcoin. Somehow it managed to build a large and loyal user-base, and the exchange rates went up. But despite all this, the developers have shown little interest in popularizing this coin. And that is a giant red flag for me. 

Dogecoin is just ingenious for sending between two exchanges, besauce of very low withdraw fee and high speed! I always use it for that, BTC withdraw fees are too high sometimes and too slowly.

You don't need to be confused. Investing in just a single coin is even more risky, spread across different coins.  To be on the safe side, you can hold some of the top 20 coins on CMC. I'll suggest you look into EOS, TRX, NEO, ICX, just to mention some with vision. Don't just buy DOGE only.

Actually we have only Bicoin and forks (99%)... And most of them born and die like flies, when DOGE still alive...  ???

Much better doing that, spreading your investment to much more known Alts aside from Doge, you have so many options from top projects around CMC, it's more likely to earned decent profits when you have this kind of investment.

Seems like you are new to invest in cryptocurrencies. If you have done before you spend money to investing on doge coin then you will know that all prices crypto is not stable. I mean its price will go up and down drastically because its price pure depend on supply and demand so it will make the price volatile.

Other than that, the news who comes about cryptocurrencies are much even per day we will see several news againts it and these things will affect the prices of cryptocurrencies. Just suggestion, if you use doge coin as trading place then you have to set the target price that will you sell but if not I mean you use crypto as investment place you just need choose short term and long term investment.

Well, that is not a weird thing in cryptocurrency because the price is often to fluctuating.
Doge is a good coin but there is no something news in there, so there is no much demands.
Maybe you can search for other top coins that showing some developments and progress.

The doge price is now a mess but doge is a fairly popular coin, you can invest in the long terms but still looking at the price and AFAIK doge can get more than 100sats / doge so investing in the long term is better at dogecoin keep looking at prices.

Doge coin and some other altcoins are pumping and dumping it's price. That's how we can gain profits from them. So if I were you, continue to invest in doge coin. For me, it is still a potential coins. If you will research deeper, some gambling sites are accepting doge coins that is why I do think it will survive in cryptocurrency world. Any coin goes up and down every day. So If you are concerned with that you should not buy any in next years. After that most popular coins values will stabilize.

In general, this is your personal business.  Do not listen to other people's advice.  Personally, I like the coin and keep a certain amount for a couple of years.  Small withdrawal fee, coin advantage.

There is no coin is available in the market without fluctuation, even bitcoin. As bitcoin not been going up and down too from the moment it started its bull run? Doge coin will be around for a very long time because it was built for the community in mind just like bitcoin and at the same time good for means of payment, many did called it shitcoin in the past but dogecoin proved them wrong with its faster and cheaper transaction rate

About goes up and down is something normal happend on alt. most of alt goes down when Bitcoin dominating market and the price jump up

I know literally no one that uses Dogecoin, because it is still a shitcoin. The only thing that is holding Dogecoin together is that it is a meme coin. Otherwise it would have been gone a long time ago. And imagine someone paying in a store with Dogecoins. Do you not feel embarrassed while you can pay it with BTC or ETH ?

Been using Doge coin for almost 2 years for doing bet. But for investment i will say i'm not interesting on doge. Doge is alt with no real project there. although the price is quite stable whenever another ALT goes down, i will do invest on another ALT with real project and real team.
