Title: Myetherwallet wallet adress change forced
Post by: rzesakmr313 on May 31, 2019, 10:43:15 AM
Hi Hello.
I Set the new wallet adress with Myetherwallet.com
I gave this adress to few airdrops to get my tokens.
The problem is I wanted to log in to myetherwallet.com with the 12word phrase and password and I did.
Unfortunately the next step was to choose my etherwallet adress and I had to choose one from the list.
Unforutnately there occured it was new main wallet adress and not the one I gave to airdrops.
What can I do to import the old wallet adress to MetaMask without Key?
I have only 12word phrase and password I set in Myetherwallet.com

I would say more problem is.
Every time I want to login to myetherwallet.com with the phrase and password the system shows me the list of new adresses one to choose to use. Basic question how can I login to myetherwallet with my old adress?

It looks like you have been copying the wrong passphrase.
just curious about have you been doing another action like created a new password after you have created your old address?

In my understanding, you have copied the wrong passphrase and when it was redirecting you to the a new address and it looks so strange for me. have you downloaded the keystore file?

This is my first time on seeing MEW to have that paraphrase option.I thought you do have copied wrong phrase
but i was wrong yet each paraphrase do have corresponding set of wallet addresses which you can choose it up before you logged in.
Try to look on your first  address that you have clicked and given for airdrop purposes.Im sure that it is just still there if the phrase is right.

In all seriousness, how many MEW accounts you have made? are you sure that you kept the right 12 passphrase?

Because if you have the exact passphrase/private key for that wallet you've actually used for airdrops, it will be there. Do you still remember the address you've used so we can see if there are actual airdrops on that wallet? I haven't used MEW for a while and I'm aware of the changes but with your case I don't think that there's relation to it.

This does sound strange. If you only have 1 set of passphrase then it should always give you the same address. There is no way to get a different one if you restored from the same passphrase. Why not try putting the passphrase into MetaMask or some other ETH wallet and see if it is the same address?

If the same,,, then you made a mistake with your old address and copied the wrong address to register for airdrops.

I don't think he copied the wrong passphrase.
It's possible to find your addresses using iancoleman.io/bip39 tool, or just by inserting the passphrase in metamask or myetherwallet.

Ethereum allows multiple addresses in the same seed.

Have you checked if your works are typed correctly?
