For any one that started buying crypto at 18k. U still need to continue buying crypto. Don't stop until it hits 18k again. These last 7 months of the year will continue to have big gains. the word "crypto" doesn't mean "bitcoin"! the real meaning of it is a short form for "cryptography" and is sometimes around bitcoin forums used as short form for "cryptocurrency" but what you are using it for is as "bitcoin" which is false!

you should also stop thinking of bitcoin as a cash cow that only rises to give people profit! that is not what bitcoin was created for.

Speculation is part of human nature. And just like the colorful story of tulip mania  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania)in the past, we are doing the same thing with cryptocurrency especially with bitcoin the one and only king of them all. And this rises to the accusation that bitcoin is just a bubbling investment instrument that is risky most especially for beginners and people who are letting their greed as the prime reason for being here. There are risks but also the potential for amazing gains -- this is the reason why there are those who for years are in stocks or forex but decided to include bitcoin into their portfolio for possible astronomical profits...and mostly these people don't care what bitcoin stands for. Right now, analysts are telling us that bitcoin is very pregnant with so many possibilities. Let's hope those possibilities means more gains in the remaining months of 2019 and maybe even into 2020 the year when bitcoin will have its scheduled halving.

This is the best month to come in, and I am sure, this is enough to come back and invest

I like the fact that you accept your advice as speculation ,I'd save the massive gain till after next bitcoin halving as I don't expect massive growth of bitcoin this year until 2021

There were investors who bought Bitcoin last 2017 with a very high value. As for me, it's the right time to hope for the best and recover from losses years ago. It isn't too late to buy and sell when the bull market runs. We'll still be able to gain a good profit in time.

We canat convince them to just buy and buy because they already lose money,they are scared to spend more money on bitcoin specialy those who bought at 18-20k we cant convince them to buy if they are smart they will take the lose and buy more.Theres some people whos mind has this like motto "losing one time is enough".

I think bounties and airdrop are some of the genius creation in crypto, because it is imcomaprable to bitcoin mining, some may argue mining is not free, mining is not selling your time, mining is not selling your info, whatever they could say, but deal with it, they're all almost the same, some want to pay it with whatever resource they have, either it's computer power, info, time, opm, opr, opt etc, is it free? I think the only free one is proof of stake, because it take nothing to doubling something.

I think a few over hundreds of people bought it in the earliest day, and most of them would have unload all their bags by now, except some of them who's so religiously in hodling/hoarding. Name a few of them Jihan Wu, Roger Vers, Winklovess Twin, these are few of the evangelists who would never sell I believe.

Nope, I'm very much insist on my opinion, it's free no matter how anyone suggest it's not, because crypto itself isn't existed in the real world, it is only working on a virtual world, not only crypto is free, it's free of real world issues too, ok you can also suggest we are burning earth resource to generate profit, ofc every profit come with natural destruction, whatever business out there would cause pollution, noise, water, air, environmental pollution, which one is free of pollution? It's very important for both old and new investors to make to do their DYOR, the market is prone to volatility those sways can give you profits or make also continue loses, if you plan to continue investing best to workout with good analysis, speculate and assess if what will be the next possible movements.

If it happens (I mean a miracle) and ALL stop taking it as money that can grow in its value, many people, I think even the majority, will quit dealing with crypto. Only professionals and some guys that really need anonymity will stay.

I agree, it’s still not to late for anything, besides we can’t turn back time so we have to deal with the current situation and even if you buy it with a high price today it’s fine because bitcoin has proven to always spike up and you’ll never know a moments later there will be a bull run. Bitcoins trend right now is very good and I know it will still become better as the days pass so don’t ever think it’s already to late, you can still make profits even if you just invested in it.

You should not campaign here, of course everyone here will understand the purpose of your goal but your target if it is like that then it should be aimed at lay people who just understand crypto. Generally, users in this forum already understand when they should buy Bitcoin or Alts. I mean the market nowadays is quiet different from 3-years ago. I think you are meaning bitcoin as a crypto. However he who bought it at the price of 18k$ he might wait for long days.If he set the stop loss in pair trade he is not in big loss .You are saying to buy on cheap price more we can its not a genuine strategy .Its all about to capital and hoe much i am getting profit .So i think we should buy when we meat the price on huge deep and sell it on high and avoid the long top of the upper trend. 

Nope, you can trade whoever info you could get with to get airdrop, and how do you going to get that info from the Internet? I think it would be a challenge but it's not impossible through, just when you try to sign up anything service from the nearest shopping mall, credit card, loan, mobile number, gift card, subscriptions, etc, you're required to kyc too, isn't it too is selling your precious info? But is it free??

mjglqw is right, it is not free when you have to work for it. the job is a stupid one and dosn't take that much effort but it is still a job that requires you to spend time and put an effort into it, and that is why they pay small amount of money.

as for information sells, any other place is a clear and legitimate business which can be legally prosecuted if they sell your information (although you don't get your personal information to the shopping mall, etc!!!) but an anonymous ICO run by some random dude on the internet who lives in his parent's basement is not something you could find and sue if they sell your information.

Market at present is not high because it will be crossing 10k levels as well. So those in fear that it is high and better to hold might end up not buying now and then it may be too late for them as price would have zoomed and surpass 4 digit mark too.

Legally obtain kyc could add a layer to your info security but it would all come to enforcement too, for your knowledge, enforcement is never meant to be serious, it's always full of lenient and ignorant, big corp could sell your info to banking, insurance, loan shark, deep web, Google, FB whatever they have the power and the right channel to force and keep your mouth shut and tight. But ICO run by random vulnerable single guy out there seem to be very easy target to push them into court of justice and extract attractive reward too. It is not low enough for them I supposed.

The long awaited bull run is here even alts will be profitable soon enough to rally with Btc just like last bull season.

I'm not sure that the next seven months of this year will be the best months for cryptocurrency. Most likely, this year the price of cryptocurrency, although it will continue to grow, but it will not grow too quickly after such a very long period of a bear market. I think that only next year will be very good for us in terms of increasing the price of cryptocurrency.

I am also a victim of buying the top and lose a lot. And right now, I am satisfying my opportunity to earn. I will make a lot of time just to plan enough and execute. I bought bitcoin for my friend at $16455 and I keep encouraging him to keep holding because he is not a trader like me. The man has a big hope that bitcoin is going to grow above $100,000 one day and he hope to sell then with huge profits. He said " no matter the price now I am not worry because I have decided to sell above $100,000 one day", this mind he has do really encourage me to have more faith in bitcoin and that no matter the price that you bought bitcoin in the past, be it around $20,000, $18,000 or $15,000 and at the current price you will definitely going to make profits if you can be patience enough.

Although I agree with you in that Bitcoin wasn't created as a "cash cow", I personally don't mind when people use it as such. We can't(and we shouldn't) force people to use BTC as a currency, especially these days, when one has to pay over $3 for transaction of an average size. I think people who invest their money in BTC are doing a good job for it even if they never use it as a currency.

Crypto has a four-year cycle. Most of the time (about 75%) it is pumping and the rest is dump. Now the last bull run was last quarter of 2017 and the following year was a long period of consolidation. If we think about it, the rest of the year would be generally a bull run until 2020 so it would be a good opportunity for late comers.

As it always, they can still catch the tail of the train as we are not totally in the bull run. We never just to focus on Bitcoin but we also try to explore into altcoins which is still at cheap price. It is a tough decision to risk in investing crypto during the bull run as dumps will mostly it happens next, but we can't disclose any possibility and maybe it changing course this year instead of dumps, it will continue to surge high until year end.  

No it doesn't have a 4 year cycle. It had a 4 year cycle before but it's too young to be calling it a rule.
In 2014 and 15 it was declining and in 16 and 16 it was going back up. This time it was declining in 2018 but it's already rising in 2019 which is something new.

Bitcoin is almost back at 50% of ATH 1,5 years from the previous ATH.

it's not easy to buy again.  it is a big loss and makes people afraid to buy bitcoin again.  7 months is not enough to return the capital.  because the development of BTC this year is very slow.  so maybe 2020 BTC will create a fast bullish market.

Crypto is not all about buy and buy ,it is about buying and selling at the right time , if you have this attitude, then you can scale in and out of any market without buying at 18000 USD and waiting for more than a year in case there is a draw down of the price of your coin.

Actually market is still too much volatile and anything can happen in market so no time is best for crypto lovers i think. So For their own risk everybody should invest into it so they would not to cry.

I'll bet for those people who has bought bitcoin at $18.000 they will never intend to buy bitcoin again aside from he will wait till its price touch $18.000. The reason is as what you said above, speculation thing will never be use by someone who has made it and he was felt a huge lost for a long time. When bitcoin had touched the ATH 2017 ago then we have seen lot of speculation there who assumed that bitcoin in 2018 will touch price x and touch new ATH x but it never happen. Because of that I'll assume that for those people who bought bitcoin at ATH two years ago then will choose the hodl and never intend to buy it again.

Right. You have a very optimistic mindset that can make people believe you. You are right about the buying of cryptocurrency because it will definitely going back to the all time high value. It's just a matter of time for that to happen.
This year of 2019 I am hoping for the continuous recovery of the crypto market which is still happening right now.

I agree that there is no cycle in bitcoin and although there are similarities we can't really come up with these types of expectations.
but the similarities can not be denied either. the last drop was only in 2014 and 2015 was the rising year. just like 2018 was the drop and 2019 is the rising year. also the drop sizes was nearly identical too. we had a 87.5% drop in 2014 and we had a 85% drop in 2018!
my theory is that there has never been a cycle but since people expected it so much, they began to create the cycle themselves by forcing it on the market.

It will be hope by myself especially, cryptocurrency gets massive addoption and we can lot of merchant who accept bitcoin as payment system or some companies pay their employee with bitcoin and also some government accept crypto and their citizen are free to use bitcoin as payment system. There is no the best time for some people to buy bitcoin although he has got a lost when he bought an ATH. This is an opportunity for those people who has got a lost last years they can recover it at this time. This is a very interesting theory and I tend to agree with it. I mean, we all know that anything, absolutely anything can happen, but in most cases what happens is that of which the probability of happening is higher that that of other outcomes. And if the cycle you described is present in people's minds, it doesn't guarantee that we'll necessarily see its manifestation on the market, but the probability of that is pretty high.

You could look at it like that but in 2015 Bitcoin started to visibly rise since November and touched the 50% ATH point in May of the following year. This time we were almost at 50% in May of 2019. This is 12 months earlier than the last time.

If we look for similarities we will find them but it's the same with differences. There's plenty of both in these cycles.

I agree on you.Crypto market will continue to be positive seeing the market price is already making a continuous growth.So we should all be hopefull and keep on holding our coins because few months from now,we will eventually make huge profits same with the year 2017.

I think you are wrong because cryptocurrency and bitcoin are two completely different things. Because cryptocurrency can be referred to the total system. But Bitcoin is a small part of that huge cryptocurrency system, nothing else. Example: "It's not the same thing as the Internet and Google are not the same thing," Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, and we all know that cryptocurrency price is always changing all the time. From that point of view, the price of bitcoin can be reduced. But, I'm sure it will not be for a long time. Soon the price will increase. And nobody can stop Bitcoin in the next 30 years. After some years, there will be a day when we can see that Bitcoin will become one of the most valuable things in the world.

This is not just speculative, this is wishful thinking. You cannot possibly say something that does not have any basis. There is no guarantee that this year will remain bullish. And stop promoting cryptocurrency as a quick rich scheme.

I believe it's pretty much possible that at some point in the future, maybe in 20 years or so, Bitcoin will be used by hundreds of millions on a daily basis, its price will stabilize at around $200,000, and a week's price change will never be over 0.5%. At that point Bitcoin will be just a currency, and no one will be thinking of it as of a get-rich-quick scheme, like no one is expecting 200% gain in several months buying EURO or USD today. But we have to admit that right now 200% gain in several months is not something impossible for Bitcoin, and it's not a wishful thinking, but rather the reality of the past years. Many people have gained a big fortune by investing in Bitcoin during the past several years, and this fact can't be denied.

The best part is realizing how much have been lost, analysing what led to the lost lastly avoiding these scenarios. A lot of lessons were learnt in 2018 if the bull run starts people will still forget these bitter lesson, make their emotional mistakes come back to complain bitterly again

We know what we are doing, and buying even though you lost at 18K is absurd since that is a loss and you are keeping a loss while doing it continuously. There are timings for that and it is true that it is pumping but think of it, if you continue buying at the price of 5-digits, you lost a lot of money by now and that is bad, maybe now I can consider to buy.

How do you think the price goes up? the price goes up because people buy because they believe in technology and see it as a good investment.

Surely it's not late yet, you can buy Bitcoin now also and we can see that magical figure which has shown once in 2017. As many people transact Bitcoin it will increase the liquidity flow and for newbies, it is the best time to take a closer view of the crypto world.

I fully agree with OP,,, but just the one thing we should never fail to remember, which is, only invest what you can afford to lose. Yes,,, for many, we bought at such high prices, I was glad I never bought any above 12000 but still to be in a loss even at 10k is not an issue because I kept buying at every price climbing up in 2017.

And the same goes for now. Keep adding and you have averaged out nicely when a new ATH comes :)

Bitcoin market movement is very unpredictable that is why it is very risky therefore there is no guarantee that this month will be in favor of the market except if there is a good development in progress. For now i see no specific progress that will ensure the rise up of Bitcoin price that is why i will never suggest of when is the right time to buy but i admire your positive thinking as this is better than spreading FUD.

totally agree. But for those who still have the capital to invest. lol. Currently, I think that people who bought btc at 18k may have sold gradually and now those who keep it are very small. Moreover, investing in bitcoin from 18k in 2017 may also have made them lose much capital and confidence in the crypto market. though. I still strongly advise people to invest more in crypto because this market is still too small and full of potential

It will be a hard sell to convince someone that bought in at $18 000+ to continue buying now that the price dropped with almost 80% since then. I have some friends that bought coins back then and my advice to them was to continue buying low and selling high until we reach that price again.

Some of them followed my advice and bought some coins again when the price was $4000+ and they recently sold for a profit of more than 100%. They have managed to chip away some of their potential losses of what they would have lost since 2017.  :P

I hope so market is beginning to rise again.Bitcoin is on 8500-7500 area since week. Thats mean this area will be a new support line for bitcoin.If that keep about 2 more weeks bitcoin will surely hit 10000$ area and start to keep rising.This is a good opportunity for newbies to enter market and make some cash.

You did absolutely the right thing convincing your friends to buy at around $4,000, and it is especially obvious today when BTC is over $8,600. But what about buying today? Would you still advise your friends to continue buying and never stop until Bitcoin hits 18k again, as OP suggested? I personally think that buying below $10k is definitely worth it, but I would hesitate like a pendulum if I was asked about buying at $17k+. On the one hand it's stupid, because I believe BTC can reach $200k+ in several years. But, on the other hand, it's always hard to advise your friends regarding investments.

Price didn’t tell anything in crypto, do you see how many of them crypto ended up having the value they have today? Are you telling me they all have many buyers and thus they have value? Anyone could create a coin, and set the price at soar high, and there is no buyers I could think of, but many bag holders, so why do you think bitcoin is any better? I would rather it’s a demand and supply that determine the price, and nope, this is not same to having buyer and seller, supply and demand is more about need and want, buyer and seller are basically bunch of clueless traders that bring nothing to anything.

This bull run comes to show that the rumors of crypto market being heavily manipulated by a handful of whales are probably true. There were no significant news or global financial market changes to cause a pump like this, yet worthless coins are being sold to someone for ever increasing cash value all of a sudden.

Every year the end days will have big growth in the price unlike the special events taking place. This time too the expected growth was by the month of December. Luckily there were good support for Cryptocurrency all around and the same has led to such a growth by the middle of the year. Now the same looks to be taken forward as we're to experience the halving by next year. The growth we see at the moment isn't manipulative, it is growing by its own overcoming lots of FUD and negative things spread by whales to manipulate the market.

I agree that this coming months will bring the best of cryptocurrency bullrun especially bitcoin. The 2017 bullrun ended the price of bitcoin tumbling down to its lowest level followed by bearish market that lasted until december last year. The bullrun this year might be different because aside from possible new all-time high, the price might continue to go up next year unless some unforeseen events that willpossibly affect the price uptrend may happen.

It's interesting how people always expect price growth at the end of the year although there is no some solid proof for that. Also it's hard to tell if currently this is the best period for Bitcoin this year or best is yet to come. The price might continue to grow over 15000$ or more but don't forget that corrections are possible too. And the role of whales is exaggerated, at least this last growth isn't because of them to my opinion.

Well i couldn't agree more, 2019 looks very promising for crypto hodlers, best bet not to miss out on the upcoming bull run is to buy some few good alts and Ofcours btc (only what you can afford to loss) to ride the momentum, btc has been very impressive this few day's and if alts can follow suit at some point, it will be party time no doubt.

The market movements are supported by events that more adoptions are happening inside, if this will continue and many more businesses that will begin to join in and make their stands supporting this new way for payment transactions it will anticipated that big bull run will pushed the value to much higher price and create a new high.

Actually it’s kind of good that we started to see these type of hopeful topics about the future of the crypto market. Sharing your opinion like that seems a bit speculative, that’s right. But you’re not alone and many people think the same way.
I can’t say that people should start to invest in now, it’s their decision. But i also believe that the market will grow within the next months.

I was wondering whether there are any people who were buy bitcoin at $18k but still hold and not cut loss when the price better than now but compare to bitcoin situations over than a year ago then i think indeed this month is pretty much better and the caused is bitcoin can surpass $10k peak but as uptrend still not stopped yet i think possibly next month too bitcoin price will rise up although today there was corrections price but i think soon the rally will continue again

Your speculation are starting to become reality. But what do you mean "crypto at 18k"? I think what you are talking about is Bitcoin. Crypto is general and does not mean Bitcoin only, there are other cryptos out there like ETH, TRX, etc..

Bitcoin is doing great but many altcoins are dying and most ICO investors are in a terrible position right now.  Even the 2nd ranked crypto is doing terrible compared to last year when it was around $800 in may.

Pretty good month for old timers too.

OP Your point is valid as I see late comers who joined in early this year to be enjoying the benefits of using cryptocurrencies as its grown 200-300% of what it was in this time frame.

But unfortunately not everyone is celebrating, it's still a bad time for those that joined in when it was at its all time high and speculation of bitcoin hitting $50k or more was high and people went on to the extent of selling their houses, getting huge loans only for the price to crash, I guess these atm investors are now just looking forwarded to breaking even with the current signs of hope :)

That's right what you say. The price of cryptos is getting better and I predict that the future of crypto currencies is getting brighter. If indeed we have capital, we should increase our investment in crypto currency. It would be better if we invite people around us to join crypto currencies and play in crypto currencies. The more people playing in crypto currencies, the glory of crypto currencies can be more enduring. We must be able to read the situation that at least until the end of the year crypto currency conditions improve so we can invest as much as we want.

I know some people who already recovered their loss when they bought BTC when it reached $18,000 USD last December 2017. They sold and start buying and selling until they recovered their loss. Those who hold on to their BTC that they bought at $18,000 are too lazy to stretch their brains and start investing on other coins to help them recover.

It may be they are hoping for another $20k which is no guarantee that we can see it again. It is really a big mistake for them of not taking other ways to find the solution to their losses, in fact, we make some recoveries even not relying on BTC alone.
But anyway, that's their choice and we can force them to do what we want to be.

As the bitcoin market goes strong it should be good to invest since one can still earn but my advise to newcomers is that to take down investment slowly and should bit risk everything for this kind of investment unless if the market now is in the state of bear market just started the market price increase like last few months having bitcoin market price at 3K usd.

So, it is good to invest in bitcoin but not totally risk everything for it.

i'm sure many of them have already cut losses from a long time ago

but i'm sure there are still those who hold their bitcoin since ATH at that time

Exactly.Bitcoin is really in a positive price today but we have no guarantess that it will forever be positive so as an investor,we should not invest all our money in it and learn to diversify our investments so that if bitcoin might drop into a very low price,we will not be too depressed since our other investments are still making profits.

Easier said than done. Bought btc at 18k then it crashed down and wait until it reached 18k again. My question is, how long does they have to wait? The patience is tested much in that situation. However, if there is no choice then yeah hodl it longer. But if you think, you can't hodl it anymore maybe when they sold it at $13k and rebuy at $9k and sell it again at $12k then atleast it slowly  compensate the lose, right?

It is difficult to predict the market, what if the sold at $13k, and the price never decline again to give them that opportunity to buy at $9k, would they not have lost completely? I am also among the people that bought at that peak price, and I am not blaming it in anyone except myself because I should have watched the market carefully before buying then, but I guess that we all fell for fomo.

We all know that reaching that peak price is one in a particular period, now that we have fallen for that other fomo, the best is to continue afresh while still waiting for us to recover the other money back, so what I do is just to use fresh fiat to trade since the time it dropped to $4k which I bought and I must say that I have made more than what I even invested in that last bull run, while I am still waiting for that one to also grow too.

Could not say for sure that these are the best months. Market is basically unpredictable. Either you win or you lose. It's all a gamble. But then only those who take risks could expect something beyond their wildest dreams.

Based on speculations we are looking at $20,000 or more so even if you bought bitcoin in $18k or below then it can still guarantee a profit, for me i'm very positive about bitcoin and I really think that the price is always growing and it is increasing as the days, years go by.

They won't play the blame game if you explain them properly how the market works. They should be made aware of the "short term" risks involved when investing on bitcoin. They should know that the price might drop anytime without any signals or notice. They should be made aware of market manipulation so that they don't panic when the price starts to drop.
If your "friends" know that bitcoin is for long term investment, they won't blame you if the price drops on the short run.
