Before the LTC halving in August 2015, the price was around $2, then it shoot up towards $9 one month before the halving date which was August 25th. Then August came and the price took a massive drop which put the price around $2.70 during the halving. After that, the price recovered.

If the same pattern occurs this year, we should see a spike in the price around July, anyone holding LTC should take some profits around that time before the price crashes...That's of course if we see an indication that the same thing that we saw in 2015 might happen again this year.

Exactly, and Litecoin block reward halving effects already been reflected in its rises since later of 2018 till early months of 2019. It has nearly doubled its price (in BTC pair) before falling back a little bit; but in USD pair, the price also rose dramatically due to good impacts from bitcoin bull run. I am not sure that around the halving time, or after halving time, Litecoin can take off again or not; due to the fact that price significantly got benefits from halving news months ago. I have sold everything that I have on LTC after CHarlie decided to sell what he have. I think it was one of the stupids things ever made by a leader of a project. And LTC is a little stupid. It is expected that a month before mining, miners will try to compensate their losses, and the jump of the price for the crypto can happen. Nope, if you ask me. I will stay away from such party for greedy guys. Halving, halving and halving again, we all know when halving occurs, and such things repeatedly made lively to manipulate price. I saw Litecoin rose around 10% last hours, but I will determinantly stay away from Litecoin, and wait longer to get better enty positions. Investors can choose to hop on Litecoin at current phase, and might get profits, but I think generally it is too risky to invest like this.
In the meantime, I think it is better to use funds and invest in other good projects. Litecoin is not the only altcoin that we can invest. Dogecoin, Bitshares, Stellar, or even Ripple.

I always think that litecoin is undervalued and it will take this halving to push it to the real value! As one of the oldest cryptocurrency it could have been trading over $500 now but it could not do well in 2917 when other coins of it like were performed overwhelmingly. I see heavy buying wall across most of the popular exchanges on bitcoin, ethereum, ripples and litecoin when I checked last night and that means the current bullish trend is real and joining the trend is the right things to do.

When halving happen on bitcoin, the price rising after a few months and i think this could happen to litecoin. I think holding litecoin is good investment because its good coin with good liquidity in many big exchangers

I see still uptrend structure on the daily chart, I think bullish starting to raise to $171 (the first target) but I'm not ruling out a breather before the next attempt.

I am quite impressed with litecoin and its movement, trying to find out why the huge growth but no real pointer, a very impressive movement so to speak, I had expected etherium to do a similar thing but I am quite disappointed with it so far. It is very likely litecoin will attain its all time high and exceed it at this pace while etherium will be struggling.
