Title: Temporarily stop crypto trading?
Post by: anehh on June 07, 2019, 04:54:04 PM
I suffered losses in recent days, and I decided to stop trading for a while. While looking for capital to return to the market. Shut up to strategize and take compensation for recent losses. Have you ever lost continuously and lost enthusiasm? Thank U.

Yes and perhaps I assume you were a little eager to get in the trade and missed the support levels
But still, gather the experiences, note them down and learn

Was the loss because you got in too early ? Or was it because you didn’t sell sooner ?
Figure it out and be better

I compared trading to gambling, there are just some bad days where we lost in a streak and that is just normal in this world. That's a good thing that you stop for a while and review what is going wrong and plan a strategy on your comeback.

Is this post suppose to be in the section of the board? Well losses are part of cryptocurrency and also part of investment in general. You can only curtail your losses by being more observant and tactical in your investment plans and objectives

And laid out the reasons why you failed in those days. Review your actions and assess which of those actions might influenced the most of your failure. At least, next time you know what you need to watch out for. Evaluating the situation would greatly help on your next battle. Don't lose hope. It is not the end of the game yet.

Actually you will never lose if you do not sell coins that you bought before at a cheap price, if you wait and save the coin to a more expensive price then you never lose but you are too rushed to make decisions so you lose,  better before doing trade first understand how to trade well

You did the right thing to stop trading. Sometimes you need to rest from the market and just relax if interest is lost most likely it is fatigue and in such cases you can lose even more as the person tries to compensate for the loss and starts to rush, which leads to even bigger mistakes.

That is correct, the worst thing you can do now is get straight back into trading. You will just make more mistakes under pressure. Trading is not for everyone, you need an oasis of calmness and patience  ;D

You can stay involved in the crypto-scene by investing small amounts (say 100USD or whatever you can afford) per month, into promising altcoins. There are numerous benefits to this strategy, namely while researching your 'coin of the month' you can keep your knowledge up-to-date by researching the coins that are out there, and you will be ahead of the game when the bull market starts $$$  ::)

Yeah better to stop for a while until your emotions are gone, or ready to move on. I understand your situations, I've there too. Now, when the mind is all cleared up, learn from eperiences. Successful traders had losses too, but never give up.

How could you lose recently? The market has been great the past two months.  I'm honestly very curious.

If you are someone who jumped in early 2018, then I can understand the losses.
But if you jumped into crypto anytime in the past 7 months you should be making a lot of profit.
Perhaps you have been doing risky investments?

At this point, I would say that risky is not the way to go.
Altough the market has been doing good, it's not to the point where icos/ieos/low market alts are worth taking the risk.
If you stick with just three major coins, you should be good, like btc, bnb, and eth.

Buy low sell high, stick to fixed percentages and you will be good.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is one of those ups and downs in life, it is good you sit back and restrategize before moving in to trading once again. It involves a lot of skills so that you will not make losses once again.

Stop or relaxing is a better way for you to go. Anyway, that is not gambling that you are continuously losing, you can stop in trading and I think a huge loss there if the market is down, of course, the value of your coins will drop also. You can stop and hold your coins on the exchange which is much more easier. Temporarily stop is not regrettable especially when market price down too much and you can come back when the bullish market will come.

When I started trading, I lost a couple of times until I discovered the trading pattern that works best for me. I'm good with my TA and also trade with FA, but I'm not usually greedy sitting my trades, I cash out when I see reasonable gains depending on the market depth. Market depth should guide you a lot, that's if you can study it to understand market emotions.

Correct decision to stop trading, but do not stop totally. The market is still on the bullish period. Few days ago, there was a slight bearish trend that probably one of the causes of your losses. Better to regain your mentality to catch up.

I think it's wrong, if we have to stop trading when we suffer losses. I personally when I experience such things I study the trade history that I did before, so that I can determine the next step. so the point is we need to learn more about the current and previous market conditions.

Crypto prices usually tend to swing a lot. A good piece of advise would be to buy low and sell high, then again when do you know when the price is actually "high" and "low". How much did you lose?

I think it is okay to pause and relearn the things we need before we do trading. Trading is not just exchanging coins or tokens but we should know the right strategy. We need also to be updated on different news about the token or coins because it will significantly affect the price of the token or coins.

When trade fail we need to be calm to handle those errors in the most effective way. Earning profit doesn't need to be quick, but you need to have a new creation to be able to earn long-term profit. In my opinion, supplementing knowledge is essential during this time and if you can learn new things then you will definitely become a good trader so instead of earning profits then you should prepare yourself the best

Good move, when you already not feeling comfortable with the results of your trades, taking some rest will helps you out to find the rhythm back, you don't need to push everything and rush it out, take some time and try to learn from those mistakes that brought loses to your trades.

Traders break is needed to avoid being completely burned out, relax and fine time for your self to unwind.

Many of the newbies in trading including me have suffered what you have experienced at this moment.

When I experienced this situation, I stopped trading too and find a way to recover my losses and when I recovered my losses I didn't trade anymore until one time that I felt that I want to trade :D. At this moment, I'm still trading but not that active already.

There is not necessarily good or bad times to join or invest in cryptocurrency. There is only relatively good or bad time for this. It is up to you to decide whether you want to cease joining cryptocurrency for a while. But in my view, you can look to alternative to recover your losses. Like engage in day to day trading or join bounty campaigns.

I have lost money on a number of smaller altcoins. But these losses never made me to quit the crypto sector. Losses and profits are part of any investment plan. I have faced losses from investing in other sectors as well (such as equities and mutual funds). The problem is that we think too much about the past losses and ignore the trades which gave us good profit.

It's no problem if you want to stop trading for a while and maybe that is a good decision for you, especially if you think that you are suffered from the losses in recent days. Sometimes, I stop trading too if I feel that the market is running somewhere and I cannot predicting the trend. But I never lost enthusiasm for trading, and I continue trading in the other days because trading is my way to make money. I hope that you can start trading again in the next day after you feel you are ready to trade.

I agree with your opinion, but I do not agree with this that not all traders can forget the losses in the past because that is a difficult thing even if you have experienced a large loss. but whatever it is in the form of investment or trade we must always remember the consequences too.

One important but often overlooked part of trading is patience. Many coins are cyclic in price vs BTC, so sometimes if a trade starts going the wrong way all you have to do is wait until the trend reverses. It doesn't always happen, and it requires some courage, but it is a strategy worth considering.

How much is your total loss? In the past few days the market has dumps but low levels of about 5-10%. I believe this is an acceptable risk. I wonder what did you do in the past day that made you stop all operations in Crypto?

As for losses. Yes, you need to stop and view your trades. I usually take screenshots with arrows, where the time and price of the trade are visible. This allows me to see mine mistakes, as well as rebuild my trading system.

I think you took the right decision to stop trading, all you need to do now is learn more, also attach yourself with people who you think are good, you could also learn one or two strategy from them. Also look at your trading pattern to see if you can detect what you have been doing wrongly, all these could help you be a better trader.

Indeed, when i got loss on my trade, i am prefer stop and lear more about technical analysis and evaluate my trading style. Revenge and want returning our losses as soon as possible is very dangerous because we trade with our emotion and not based on analysis

Loss is one thing to expect in crypto. Its very evident. You don't have to beat yourself up for that and decide to quit. You get and determine to do much better and be more alert.

capital doesn't return to the market, it is already in the market and not going out. you just have to try and see where it is instead of just looking at one place (like the top altcoins) and then expect them to be the only thing that gets pumped and then complain when you lose money.

the fact is that traders in altcoin market will never stay in one altcoin, only bag holders will. they move to different coins to pump them and take the profit out as fast as possible to eventually go back to bitcoin with a much bigger capital.

I think everyone feels that way, especially in the bear market. I think that we should not give up the market is slowly but surely recovering. Bitcoin halving is coming soon. I think that bitcoin will start to grow very much and will pull the whole market of altcoins.

Always remember that loss is one thing to expect in cryptomarket and its very evident. You don't have to beat yourself up for that and decided to quit. As the market was so huge and has alot of project to trade with like the dencoin tokens which has a great factor of benefiting investors, if ever you are experiencing a lot of losses never hesitate and never feel bad about it. Cause in one loss, you can still have a lot of profit in return. Just try to look for a better project as I have said already about the dencoin tokens. This usually happens when all seems to be going sideways, nothing forthcoming. But like they say, quitting is never an option when it comes to making a profits. You just need to be patient and make more hardworks and you will see, all of it will be payed of in time.

Besides that, we can only learn one indicator or analysis, and we can use it for our daily trade, and if we can master the skills, we don't have a problem to determine when the right time to trade.

If you have a full-time job then taking a break from crypto trading will not affect so much to your trading activity in my opinion. Crypto traders should be emotionless due to the volatile conditions and taking a fresh start will be good for professional traders.

Thats a wise move though. If you feel you need to rest then you should than dealing with wrong decisions that can trigger more losses. As per what you do with the situation, i assume you are already in trading for years. Its harf to quit with a fixed mind and newbies lacks with it. You should rest and take back losses after.

Isn't stopping for you to breath and take some time to lose some steam because of your losses is one of the things a trader should do? If a person will be aiming to be a trader one should always know their limit, because if they will still try to make it up to their losses then the will lose more as their mind is clouded and the pressure will pile up.

There is no reason to stop trading. Everyone has experienced a loss. With that experience when returning to trading, never experienced a big loss and even made a profit. Because everyone has their respective strategies in trading. So nobody can forbid trading except ourselves.

To stop your daily trading is good when you get profit also when you get loss. It's necessary to make an evaluation when you have done with day trading, because it will make you learn how you get profit when the result your day trading is profit and otherwise. Sometimes I feel the theory of trading is not much, the lot is learn the reports when you have done a trade.

for daily traders I think they will focus on only about 1-2 hours. but they will choose the time that has the best moment to start their trade. because it is impossible for them to see the market at any time of the day.

It's not bad taking a break if you really feel to pause. But always remember that being in the marketplace theres a chance that you may encounter losses, but never lost hope in trying  again to gain more profit into the other good and valuable projects like the dencoin tokens. Try and try, search and join as long as you can see a good possibilities of the project that may benefits you in the mere future investments.

I did lost but I still trust my coins up until now since I only invested on top coins and they are going to be worth it in long-term hold. Probably bitcoin is not yet skyrocketing like what happened in 2017 but I am still hoping for more in the next few months since I am hoping for another bull run. I just kept on looking for opportunities in different ways like ICOs, IEOs and bounties.

I haven't lost during trading too much but I lost during the holding periods. For example I had a decent chunk of money during the 2017 peak and sold all my coins close to the all time high which was the best thing I have ever done in my life, after that I earned and got some more bitcoins during the bear market until summer as well and then the price started to drop, so from last years June to almost couple months ago I worked and earned and got bitcoins but since it went down in price I lost money from it.

It wasn't trading but it was still a huge loss since I didn't do anything to lose money, I was just holding my bitcoins doing nothing and just gathering more bitcoins yet even though I had more bitcoins I lost more dollars every week. Unfortunately I had some bad things and had to sell all my coins which meant I lost money and couldn't even recover.

That has gone way past dependence and into addiction territory my friend,,, if you are really a friend it is time to tell him that you and others should intervene. Trading is not as easy and profitable as everyone claims. Get this into his head and make him accept it.

And then show him what the money can also buy. Good memories, experiences,,, buy a few crypto and forget about it and enjoy life.

If you have to stop, just try to at least hold the coins you see that is still keeping the price and development going. Stop trading will be a wise decision because there is no assurance yet where the market is going. It could actually go below $5k this time if they really will push those holders to sell.

A very good step by investing in IEO binance. With the losses you get in 2016-2017, it is certainly a very valuable experience when you want to do trading activities again. So if you want to trade in the future, of course you already understand good altcoin and scam. I might follow in your footsteps to invest in IEO at binance.

therefore it is important for us to choose the right assets in trading. most people are trapped in daily trading. because of the wrong choice of assets. daily trading has a risk of loss, and we must take it and switch to another asset that is better. keep learning don't give up.

Looks like you are a day trader to incur these kind of loss even when the market is riding higher, there is nothing wrong in having enthusiasm, usually over confidence could drag you in a loss, if you are dealing as a day trader then you have to change on how to make use of the market and look for the long term rather than looking for small profits in a short period.

No.

If I lost, I'm planning well for my comeback and on how I should recover those losses. If there's no plan made during those times that when I'm in losses, I'm just going along with the cycle. Buying at dip, selling at profit and that's all. A cycle that never ends.

Don't get too emotional because if you do, you're dealt for more losses.

I think it is worth stopping the trade only when the market gets very strong fluctuations, but this is not a big period and even it gives you the opportunity to make money. And in a stable period, you just have to catch the price jumps and earn money on small volumes, not much, but for that it is stable ...

I think if indeed you are experiencing a loss and you are unable to continue it then you really should stop for a while. You can pause to stop the loss you have suffered. If indeed you have to find capital to return to the market then you should now develop the right strategy to return to the market and trade in a healthy manner. You have to learn from the crypto currency market movements and then just develop the right strategy and risk management to anticipate the negative things that happen in the crypto currency market.

The problem with trading is that everyone expects to profit out of it. But in order for you to get a positive return from trading, someone else has to lose his capital. So there is a 50/50 chance. You should always keep it in mind and be ready to bear the losses in case your trade goes wrong. Even experienced traders have only 55% or 60% success rate.

I think you have chosen a bold step. I see no reason why you continue trading despite the fact that you have seriously lost some certain percentage of your coin. This decision actually differentiate you from a Gambler. A Gambler will continue irrespective of losing until he actually lose everything. I believe most traders have actually faced this at one point or the other. It has happened to me also and most time I pulse and wait until the market for the coin i am holding actually recovered. Most time it takes twice the time i have used to doubled the coin i am holding.

So how is this not trading going to help you recover your losses? You made a loss, that's not a big deal. People make losses when trading. You can't be making a profit forever. Instead of stopping trading for a while, why not just lower your capital and try covering your loss by making small, less risky trades? This way, you won't be wasting any time but will also be making profit.

It is better not to even start trading if you are not ready for the fact that you may lose some of your cryptocurrency investments. Trading in this respect is comparable to the casino, where they go, realizing the possibility of losing their money. Sometimes you need to stop and think. You need to be morally ready for this, otherwise, it will be very difficult to work.

Perhaps you suffer losses due to lack of experience in trading.  We need a full analysis of where the mistake was made so as not to repeat them in the future.  I consider the decision to suspend trading to be not the best idea, since it is necessary to accumulate experience, and this cannot be achieved without constant monitoring of the cryptocurrency market.

In my case something different happened. For several years I obtained very positive results, but this led me to become excessively overconfident, which gradually led me to take greater risks and suddenly I found that I had lost all my capital.

Only when I found myself with a zero balance, I decided to take a long break and only recently I have encouraged enough to return to trading, but now assuming a very conservative profile, strengthening my money management and setting realistic and achievable goals.

Had it been you took necessary precaution before investing in any coin, it would not have gotten to the extent of abruptly backing out. Invest only what you can afford to lose, even in trading. If you have $100 to invest, you can divide it into two places and invest the first part first, leaving the other for any unforeseen circumstance.

I always profit and lose trades in the market but I don't despair because I make this a lesson. I myself have lost almost 80% of my money at the beginning of my trade but I got up because I will get my money back

Yes, I experienced the same thing as you throughout 2018. And I realized that it is best to pause, if I continue to trade I will make many mistakes in the pressure of losses.

Not only one time. It was very difficult to look at my portfolio and to see that from 5k USD there are only 300 left. There was a lack of motivation in 2018, but it seems like the situation is slowly recovering and there are a lot of green days in front of us.

I do not stop trading permanently, but I am still waiting for capital from other places. You are right, the current conditions are indeed quite good, but for those who have great strategies in trading. Maybe next month I will start trading again from a small scale. And I have never felt tired of the loss, for me the loss is a reasonable right. Because I also ever experienced profits.

The last time I experienced  very huge lost was in Forex trading and since that time that I pulled out, I have really not gotten myself back together for trading, because that loss for me was really a huge one that crumble me financially. When the opportunity of cryptocurrency came, and after having a full understanding of how it works, I just decided to stick with holding, which to me is still the safest way to stay secured in this crypto investment.

The cryptocurrency market is too volatile now for us to be trading and sometimes, no matter the strategy we have, we will still lose out. So staying away is good but I think it is best you go into holding instead of resuming trade back.

The risk of trading is huge, especially the bitcoin price is not stable yet before the market, but you can still earn with the strategy of buying long-term and potential altogether tokens or altcoins.

yes, trading is risky and trading is simple word but need a high skills
and people should learn about how to be a good traders first before earn from their trading activity my friend
also don't be greedy and always cut your lost short,  ;)

Compare others market like forex or stocks market, i think crypto market is more volatile. Doing trade in crypto market could be profitable if we have experience to analysis market movement but for people who dont understand technical analysis, its very high risk and this market still unregulated in many country

Crypto trading needs careful and complete understanding of the market. Since it's volatile in nature, monitoring the market and keeping yourself updated is one of the things you can do to avoid profit losses. Temporarily stopping your trading strategies might be beneficial for you to assess your trading mistakes. If you want to be a successful trader, you have to be patient and keep your cool even if you are on a verge of losing everything. Always keep in mind to invest money you can afford to lose and be smart in where to place your bets.

All of us have experienced this. I lost big money in 2018. But if we stop trading, it will be difficult for return capital to lose. It would be nice if you trade with the remaining capital, this will return your lost capital slowly.

I did this alot as a newbie trader. It is why it's necessary to always have enough funds reserved in Stablecoin so that you can buy more cryptocurrency when there are big dips in price.
When the price starts going up again, you gradually start building up your Stablecoin reserve

of course I've experienced that too, but what I do when my coin goes down is hold until the price goes up again, because I never sold my coins when the price down and made me lose (panic sell) and my suggestion for you if you want to trading is when the price of coin you invest increases by 6% - 8% it is a good time to sell the coin (to minimize the risk you have), because when the price has increased by more than 8%, the coin price can down dramatically and of course it will make you lose if you haven't sold the coin and still hold it.

Very often, sometimes we have to take a break in front of the monitor, so don't be too emotional if you experience a loss, always control and do good money management. When we experience a loss then compensate and lose again, that's when you have to rest calm your emotions and thoughts. I think you have made the right decision, don't trade when your mind starts to mess.

I think every investor and trader have this experience but many of them give up and not coming back to trade. Trade is not easy in market because the price always move with high fluctuation and i think we better learn technical skill first before start trading
Having technical skill is very necessary, with this people will learn to be able to read and interpreta chart which is still the best way to trade successfully in this volatile market. Technical skill is also not so easy to acquire, it requires lots of study and full understanding, and also the trader needs someone that will be able to break down the study into simplest form for the trader to understand how to use technical analysis.

I really do not have much strength for all this, which is why I would prefer to join people who believe in Holding, holding is just still the best offer the market has ever presented to those who cannot trade their coins.

most of the traders after experiencing big losses will definitely be stressed or lose their trust including me personally one of them. the more I get emotional, the more I lose money, so when we lose we need to rest and think of new strategies before returning to trading.

In reality, sometimes giving space and refraining from trading will give our self so much realizations. We can easily specify which areas are we lacking, what strategies are we going to improve and what weaknesses or emotions should we not to include in every trades. There is nothing wrong if we take some rest as long as we still manage to stand up again and do tradings again. Never give up.

I think you should set your objectives right. If you are not meeting them, it means something is wrong and you aren't doing it properly. It could mean that you still need to be properly grounded in trading. If that's the case, then you need to take some time and learn the system again and try to find what works for you. This way, you will be comfortable with your strategy and stick by it.

To avoid it I don't trade in the prolonged bear market. If I was lucky to sell I wait for satisfying levels to enter and just hold from there. If I did not sell i walk away not to feel frustrated and still keep holding the coin if my losses are too big. I know it can be called bagholding but when you're down 80% on a coin you might as well hold and hope that the bear market is coming to an end.

I got lucky and bought some coins low in this bear market and then sold last month when the price was good enough.

stopping in trading is indeed not the right reason. if indeed we want to succeed we actually have to do something that makes us successful. so don't back down on reality and circumstances. because the current situation is very risky for us all.

I think most of us here encountered that, being loss is part in our journey in crypto. So once we hited on that losses that the time we also improve and betterat the same time. Some failure people are the one got the success because they take the risk to face it with all courage.

Don't lose enthusiasm, if you have been in losses for a week or two stopping will be the best option. Take time to think of something better that you can apply to your trading technique otherwise you can just buy and hold and wait until the value of that coin goes higher. You can stop trading for the moment but you can continue buying if you are long term with some coins that you think will bring fortune to you one day. Everyone experienced losses but it's up on how you will look at it, as positive or negative learning.

you lose continuously in this time, i think this a best time for trading short time, but yeah if you dont have money you can't do that.
im not surprise if you lose when trading in 2018, but for now, maybe you need change your strategy.

I think your decision is very good, if the loss becomes continuous, then you should really take a rest and ponder over it, think of the best way to come back or better still take some trading classes again and do some trading reading, that should also help.

Yes I have also experienced such,  the best thing that you can do for your self is to stop day trading,  stop following lots of telegram group signal calls,  most of the guys there don't understand technical analysis TA,  all what they do is guess work with, they post a lots of signals On a  daily basis thereby you get confused by knowing the one to choose,  it's better to be a solid project HODL gang than day trading

trying something with learning is a good thing to add to your knowledge and experience.
trying to be patient even though the conditions are not good and live quietly, Crypto can move better and to fix it it takes time and process.
of course there are many risks here so we must be vigilant and must be prepared for whatever will happen, deal well.

Trading involves either making profit or loss and it can take all your money to lose or a little to gain from trading. That is why the exchanges have implemented a stop-loss feature to help people from losing all their assets. If you keep losing, the best thing to do is to stop trading for some time and come back late. Some may not come back again but it's in their own interest.

Taking a small break can be a lifesaver sometimes from my own experience. Crypto markets are volatile and every trader can give back all winnings in a single minute or even faster than the blink of an eye in case of big ban stream by G10 countries.

Suffering from financial losses in crypto trading also has some upside: it prepares you emotionally for new opportunities (unless you literally gambled away your house...).

Funny you should ask. Before I became a successful trader, I have lost... countless of times. However, each loss has helped me in improving my strategy. What I have realized in my 4 years of trading is that you will lose, eventually. However, your next step of action after every loss depends on how much percentage of your account you lost, which in turn depends on how much you risk per trade. a person who loses all of his accounts entirely is most probably over risking/overleveraging. I have heard of traders who risk over 30% of their accounts per leveraged trade on bitfinex. That's hilarious!

So, yes, I have made a lot of losses in the past. However, I have moved past that now. I still make little losses of course. But these losses are very minimal and take a very insignificant part of my account. however, when I do profit, I profit big.

the key is to find a strategy that allows you to win big in case of good trades and lose small in case of bad trades. that's what my strategy is all about. Also, i simply don't leverage anymore. that's because in the real sense, leveraging in crypto can stop you out in a matter of minutes because of the high level of volatility. Hence, with this volatility,  you don't really need leverage to make a lot of money.

I hope you get back to crypto-trading soon. however, this time, it may be better for you to use a broader approach and think long-term.

Yes and actually I owe money for some people. I am going to decrease my leverage and now I changed my mind, because I lose capital due to high leverage. Reducing leverage will help me. Also I am taking part in traders competition

If it is only temporary stop, then you are waiting for something to resume your trading activities.
When will you back trading in cryptocurrency ? The market start to going better and green for now.
Loss only small amount is not a problem, as long as you can afford it.

Indeed the market started to show a good standing at this moment, but possible crash is expected to happen. This was the history when btc price still aiming to hit that $9K period, and now we're probably going to experience it again. That's a normal occurrence to happen, specially when some longer term holders need to dump an asset which they thought could provide them quicker profit gains.

No, the answer is much simpler. It is not like trading other assets because cryptos simply are not like other assets. You can't apply standard models to evaluate them. Psychology and speculation clearly take the lead here.

It seems to me that trading on the cryptocurrency market is practically the same as trading on Forex or on other trading exchanges, because the main thing is to understand the principle of trading, through which you can make a profit.  but nevertheless, it is always worth paying attention to reputable professionals in order not only to learn from their mistakes, but also to learn from the successes of others.

I understand that, in a short time. When you constantly lose in the crypto trade, you will feel inadequate, not confident. However, in trade, it takes more patience, sometimes waiting for more. I think you are impatient in your decisions. Choose the time to come back. I saw the affirmation with a LTC trip with great rewards on Huobi on the 19th. If this could make you feel like it and come back. welcome

You are not in a loss unless you handover your assets to others. Buy low sale high. What if you bought at higher price? Try to buy at each dip to reduce the diffrence. But never invest all of your money into single asset. Trading is always risky. But you will gain/loss in %%. 5%loss or 10%gain, means same in bull and bear market.

Almost all traders suffered the same fate as yours but real traders never gives up and considered their losses as a challenges to strive more. I also suffered several losses when I'm still a newbie in trading but giving up is not on my mind and instead I educate myself on many tools that are used in trading and learn many ways on how to trade profitably. It is a good choice to temporarily stop from a trading because of losses but try also to learn more on trading and develop your plan and strategies before you start trading again. Your experiences in trading should be your teacher.

Quitting does not resolve your lossing streak. Maybe you need to do some more research on what strategy to use in order to regain momentum in trading. Sometimes frequent monitoring in the market unto which coins to buy and to sell will also help minimize losses.

To rest your emotions and work the brain, it might be better to stop trading while waiting for prices to improve and eliminate the guilt that is in the heart if the trade done is a loss.

One factor that this venue of investment is differ from forex, though some sort of principle can be followed just like what the post above you mentioned, you can check and study those people who already have good knowledge about this market and try to use their experienced as a basis, you can follow
if you think that it's beneficial to your investment.

But then you have to factor in that they are intelligent and might use their experience to manipulate you into buying they want to sell. You can't copy smart peoples' success because they don't let you.

It happens to each trader from time to time. The moment when a person can lose his confidence can come when no one expected it. As for me, it is really better to take a small break, but then, return to trading.

yes I agree with you, every trader must have experienced a loss, feeling tired and not confident anymore if it happens, you should rest to regain confidence to return to trading, I have experienced the same thing a few months ago but when I saw the market gain again, there is a little confidence to come back, because we have to accept the risk of becoming a trader from begining.

I also thin that there is not a single trader in the whole world who hasn't made losses at some point of the trading career.

Sometimes it is productive for you to stop trading for a while. Yesterday I suffered -80% loss and I had balls to compensate this loss to -50%, so now I have at least chances to remain my portfolio

I suffered losses in recent days, and I decided to stop trading for a while. While looking for capital to return to the market. Shut up to strategize and take compensation for recent losses. Have you ever lost continuously and lost enthusiasm? Thank U.
Yes, I have lost many times during the early days of the trader life. I was very lucky to win and was always confident that I would always be profitable in every transaction.
I lost more than 3k6 $ in the first 5 transactions and it helped me realize many things.
I have learned how to manage risk and that is the factor that helps me to be successful in trading many times recently.
