Title: Need help from blockchain games enthusiasts.
Post by: Friorianf on June 10, 2019, 08:45:29 PM
Hello guys, I have a situation that made me feel very bad. This is not a of promo, the words below is absolute truth, I can prove it in direct messages if you want.

So, today I sold my last Ether Kingdoms token. I learned about this game in October 2018, at that time it didn’t have that much gameplay. I still liked its design and functionality, I decided to trust the devs and invested 1,3 ETH. In a month I fit in the community, got some good friends with whom I could discuss this game. I became addicted, even though it may sound silly. It’s not just because this game is cleverly designed, but rather because it brought me good money: in November, with loot chests release, I made 1,890 USD in a month — that was really shocking for me.

How I made this money?

1. Created lots of accounts and took part in all leaderboards. I was earning about 50 USD per leaderboard.

2. Bought tokens at low price and sold at high: IMP token price is very strange, one day it can be 700 satoshi and 1400 sat the next day. it happened very rarely, mostly when a new update was released — players swarmed exchanges to buy tokens and kill some global boss or take part in a leaderboard. I earned about 800-1000 USD speculating on this price gap between 700 and 1400 sat.

3. I had powerful items. As I said, I’ve invested 1,3 ETh in this project and spent them on the most powerful and useful artifacts, that doubled in price one month later. Thanks to these items I was able to dominate PvP battles.

4. November brought cool loot chests as a reward for boss kill, they ranged depending on the amount of damage you’ve dealt to the boss. I did tons of damage in short time, it was easy to do with cool artifacts and lots of IMP tokens purchased at low price. It brought me about 100-150 USD.

As a result, I earned rather good money on this game using fair methods (and not that fair as well, tbh).

However, it changed after March 2019, when the price decreased drastically, although lots of new players that joined the game made the price somewhat stable.

Now the devs postponed new updates to September, that makes me extremely sad and angry. I don’t know how to make that money now, as the price of the token fell down, and new updates coming only in 3 months.

Maybe you can suggest a game with similar possible income? I gain about 50 USD per month when I play Ether Kingdoms now, which is sadly not enough.

I think you’d be better served playing games for entertainment and working for income. I think you’d find you likely make more money and also enjoy your free time more.

Hope you are not trying to craftily promote this game as I am tempted already lol.
I do not like spending time on Games with no financial reward for fear of addiction but I am open to games like this if the income is regular and sustainable.
Hopefully they are not scams

She works as a cleaner at our local school.
But I give her $ 500 a month so she can eat and stuff.

I think it is best to make money with the help of gambling, investing in them your money.  In other ways, gambling will not give you the opportunity to earn at least that kind of money in order to have a steady income.

Xaya is working on a new game where you might be able to earn income I am not sure yet, I made 4-5 bitcoin playing their last blockchain game huntercoin in one day (don`t even try it today lol someone programmed bots and you will get owned, I owned the bot AI twice before they patched it)

but Xaya is huntercoins new thinger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTiPOTAcXFY which you might be able to make some profit playing. It is another game built into a blockchain.

If you want to make real money in e-sports playing games play dota2. https://www.esportsearnings.com/players
Or become a streamer on twitch or youtube viewbot yourself like everyone else or just become a really good streamer.
The other way is to sell high ranked accounts to people if you got the skills to pay the bills in popular games like overwatch and league of legends.

I know there is a blackmarket for runsecape coins and path of exile items and world of warcraft gold, maybe look into those if you don`t have skills. This you will probably earn the least for time given.

wow. When was it? Creators were probably so pissed

When I killed the king who was holding like 4000 coins than like 2000 coins, around 2014? 2015?
He was mad, but fuck him he was cheating and using hacks basically, bots to play for him.

I snuck a red character under a yellow character twice and backdoored the king who was generating coins over time lol. (he must of been using a color pixel bot)
After I killed him the 2nd time he said "not this time" because we both moved a unit on the same piece at the same time to get the crown but he got it, I still got 2k huntercoins that were .00098 btc at the time lol and the first time I got the crown and cashed out 4k huntercoins, when it was like .001, so around 6 btc actually I guess it was.

It is all logged in the huntercoin to see lol, you should see me type "HAHA FUCKING OWNED or something" and him going "Not this time" lol as you sync up the wallet

actually huntercoin is a simulation of the end of bitcoin and gold.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYJVG1fKnRo

The ending is not nice.

I would like to believe that this game will exist for a very long time. But before she was much more popular, and now all players go in a new project
Everything dies eventually and games are no exception
You shouldn't be sorry for that because people who played probably had a lot of fun

I used to play in a 999 casino that runs on blockchain. I lost 0.3 ETH there. It was a terrible feeling.

most crypto games end up to be completely trash
I agree with you, normal crypto games are very few. Most of them are created only to pump money out of the audience
All people who are interested in cryptocurrency have money.

Is this allowed to create a lot of accounts to be used by one person?

lol games has their own rules and they are different from each other’s

So online games that I play don’t care how many account you have because the more accounts the active the site might look

But if in this game it’s banable then they must stop it right now

There are not many games in the industry where you are allowed by rules to have more than 1 account, pretty sure you will be banned for this in both Ether Kingdoms and nyancat.io made by gamedelta.

I see that you have never been part of good games, in steem monster, initially you invest 10 usd for the pack of basic cards, after that you can:
a) buy packs of cards (2usd), there are cards valued from 0.10 to 300 usd, are 5 random, common, rare, epic, legendary and gold version of the cards which are more expensive.
b) you can go to ask for rented cards, with 40 usd, good set, that will allow you:
 1. Make quests, fight and win 5 times with an element and you get cards according to the ranking you have, diamond are like 8 or 12 cards, there you can touch valuable cards of 200 usd or more.
2. Play tournaments, there are tournaments of 15, 50, 100, and up to 500.
3) Play and rank, as you rank you win a token that is exchanged for steem, in the engine steem exchange, depending on the ranking you are in, the type of cards you use (the gold are the most dec produce) if you win an opponent with more ranking point than you, you produce a number of decs.
4) when you rank, go up and there are seasons, they last 15 days, there they give you a certain amount of cards, again you can get valuable cards.

 c) There is a market that works like this:

business model:
1 You can buy accounts, and have delegated cards (i.e. you have an account where you accumulate the cards, and this is going to lend it to another of your accounts), you lend your cards to another of your accounts to rent it, usually the deals are 50% and 50%, you agree with a person who wants or do quest, or play tournaments or both, in addition to quest cards, and end of season, that's how you have income.

Why does this model work? Because the game is absurdly profitable, you delegate cards, the account that has them, can only use them, can't sell or send, so you can't be scammed.

b) Simply rent cards in steempeak, a page that offers that service so you can rent your cards or ask for rent.

How does this model work?

People load steem/sbd to the page (it's to their account inside the page), there you can determine or set how much is the fee, the time of card rental.

That way you get income with your cards.

d) Buy or sell cards, you can go to steempeak and leave bids, there are always users who sell at that price obviously lower than the market value. You can burn the cards and get DEC.

It also has a 5% lifetime reference system for card pack purchases.

This is the case with steem Monster.

Now I will explain how Gods Unchained works, it has even more players, people who invest a lot more, there you only win if the cards you get in the pack turns out to be good, another way to win there is through the ranked, Friday Saturday and Sunday, win a certain amount of battles, and achieve a ranking, the best or those who reach a certain ranking give them exclusive cards and clear diamond cards that are worth 1 eth or more, and are sold. Sometimes they activate the raffles, in those moments they give tokens every time you win the fights, you sell the token, you can make trading in the market, accumulate tokens and use it for the raffles, the cards that raffle are absurdly expensive, that encourages the market to be constantly buying.

Kingdom Beyond, works buying chest, selling heroes, playing and accumulating gold that is exchanged for items, there is an item that can leave, recently bought 15 of those for 1.25 eth, it should be noted that they do fighting against monsters to get the gold and then the item, there are those who make money in the market buying and selling, you can raise heroes and then sell them and so on, but the most lucrative way is buying chest, you can get expensive items.

for those who believe that multi-accounts should be penalized, because in that game is not, I myself have 18 accounts (unfortunately without cards) but I can rent cards and 18 accounts would be a pile of cards, which encourage the rental model, there are those who have cards at a good level and don't want to sell them so they benefit from there being users who bid on rental prices, there are users who have multi-accounts and offer their accounts for others to play many of the ones I know play like that, they provide them with card accounts, and the kids play with a share of the spoils, the game uses the capital that users invest to give them in tournaments recently have placed about 100 tournaments with variable values from 18 to 50 usd, ie the amount of money that moves, either because the value of the token dec, is stable, there are users who buy cards, positions, and the new version of cards called untamed is amazing the ecosystem there, so being multiaccount is not forbidden because you don't really take advantage or plunder anything, if cards come out in the quest or end of season, you can burn your cards for decs, and the price of the dec would go down, but at hours recovers is amazing.

In steem monster or splinterland, you buy accounts at 10 usd, after that you rent cards, there are positions that increase the probability that the cards you get in quest, and at the end of the season are valuable, or at least more than 5 usd, depending on the amount of cards you have paid a rent for them (it is better to rent cards than buy them from the market unless you want to enter the business of renting cards ...) you play tournaments, you have employees and ready, 50% of what the accounts generate are yours, you pay the rent, improvements the cards follow the process, buy other accounts, and look for people to play for you.

Personally, I like gambling I used to earn around $30 with small bets but this solution is not viable as you might end up losing them. Due to price drops I am not sure if there are a lot of solutions available in the market right now.
