Hey Everyone !
I was looking around for some interesting projects to invest in, I stumbled on the METM coin.
They are building a V2 of their already working DEX and have released a token creation platform allowing everyone to create their tokens on the ethereum platform.
The actual marketcap is 400k$ so it could be very interesting for a max supply of 180M tokens ...
I spotted two issues with them right now:

1) They are not doing any marketing before releasing the V2 (around end of June)
2) They are traded on mercatox ...

Is it me, or does that look too good to be true ? Any opinion would help, good or bad !

My advice for investors who wants to invest are never invest in projects that you are not sure and make reviews and research about the project and lastly look for the quality of the project because that is a mass.Just like Dencoin tokens this project is good for investments so must try this project .

This is only my opinion but it much better for you to put your money on IEO that launched on the big exchange site like binance because that will always creating a promising product.
that sounds good to hear if that platform has created their own product but that will not give a lot of guarantee to the result on its price.
For me, i will invest in a platform that created product and at the same time it can be listed on the big exchange site. Take a look at harmony and it gives more than 1000% return to the early investors.

Not sure this can be a good coin to invest but asking help from the random people for investment will confuse more.

Its your money so just decide what you are going to do by yourself.

When it comes to investing in projects that claims to be the next Ethereum killers more precautions have to be taken than the average altcoin as a little bit of more hype is needed for them to succeed if not they'll die off media coverage like neo and the rest even though they have interesting platforms that they're working on as at the end of the day the reason most people invest in altcoin is for future profit not utility purpose.

As I see it's a low cap token but haven't done much research although investing in it right now is a total gamble and you should bear in mind you're investing because of the utility purpose and not token price because I don't think it'll do much well in short term due to lack of media coverage (hype).

       Hi , welcome to the community and hoping for your success , My advice is try to conduct a research about TEMTUM , this is a new project that is manage by Hhampuz , which for me is one of the most  reliable person here in bitcoin forum and I also inviting you in TEMTUM telegram so that you can ask more about this project .

I really don't know the project you are talking about and I don't think you will get a proper investment advice here without doing more deep research on the said project. So I will advise you not to only depend on the advices you get here alone

TEMTUM in my opinion is the best project using the blockchain itself and currently being developed by the team, soon they will release the application for android / IOS, this is good for long-term investment.

Hi guys, I know Metamorph Token since Q2 of 2018 and a holder of METM Token, I was a Beta tester of the token creation platform it took less than 5 mins to create an ERC20 token and the cost is 100k METM for me that's awesome especially getting saved from the desperate search of scarce developers. Secondly the DEX launch is highly anticipated by the community but frankly the marketing for token creation and the DEX platform is poor am sure they want to deliver the DEX and embark on massive publicity of the platforms.  i will advise you carry out a deep research into any project you want to invest in. Find out the use cases of such coins/tokens, be sure to find out Team behind the projects and how active or relevant the are  to cyrptoworld . If these few factors are in place then the risk of losing your money might be low .

In my opinion, someone should ask if you started this thread specifically to promote "METM coin"?

I haven't have experience with the said dex but there's something you should realise before jumping into a coin.
There are literally hundreds of dex at current time and most of them are without any users and trading volume.
Look at how sucessful the dex was and features that would make it different from other popular dex, look for any partnership with large companies or institutions.
If you can't find any, don't invest in it.

Mercatox has a bunch of scam coins so you should also be aware of that. Just because it's being traded there, you can be now confident to dump it there, no. What's the name of the DEX that they are trying to develop? You are investing and there's no guarantee that you can make money out of it and why invest to these kind of coins if you can invest to better ones? I will not gamble to these kind of coins even though they have those kinds of upcoming events, just saying.

In the past year since bitcoin has experienced bearish and scammer everywhere, I have never believed in this kind of project but waiting does not mean this project is scam, on average projects like this will continue to decline in price so it's useless if I buy it will cause losses.

I have now paid more attention to the IEO since the harmony project changed many of the investors' perspectives, the IEO seems to awaken the crypto market atmosphere like 2017 and I would rather advise you to invest your money in Binance, Kucoin or Bittrex IEOs.

Depending on which time you should invest in top currencies, you may find that the BTC has a very large volume, but if you get into the wrong time you will notice that regretful thinking like that

Many things are happening in cryptocurrencies market and some time it is very hard to differentiate between the good opportunities and the bad one and it will be good for us to take some risks in other not to be completely out of those opportunities.
to be sincere with us here, I am hearing about this project for the first time and if what op has said about  is truth? then it will be a great investment idea and if you have some risk capital to invest, who knows if it will turned to huge profits in future. METM may turn out to be one project that will make you rich this year.
That is why having a good knowledge on what happens about those coins you want to invest is most important! Many of us invest into a coins without review the past data and know either the coins is oversold or in overbought area.

I took some time to look at their site, and bookmarked to look again someday. They do have legal representation and a pretty good presentation.

They seem to be competing with ShapeShift.io and currently have less legal oriented restrictions.

but, maybe everyone has their own opinion about investing,
and its too hard to take a part on binance launchpad because everyone want to make a contributions, and there is a minimum investments on launchpad
so, not everyone can take a part there
for the OP i don't know about your project above, but if you have a good confidence with that project, just drop your money there buddy

Fully support you in this thought. The search for investment advice itself suggests that the investor is not sure of his decision. If not sure, do not buy.

A trading/investment system should include the possibility of investing in high-risk, questionable assets. You just buy an asset for a small amount and look for other assets. Over time, experience will help you choose less risky assets.

Thank you so much to everyone who tried to give me an answer here. To be honest it's the first time that I ask something like that on any forum, it's simply because I didn't find enough information on this coin.

I found out that one BIG issue of this coin is that the team has no lock on their coins. They didn't go through an ICO so I understand why they do it, but their community complains that the team is selling big amounts of tokens without any notice.
I was considering investing around 5% of my portfolio in this, I'll consider something closer to 1% just "for fun"

I see many people mentioning IEOs I have 15% of my portfolio in bitfinex coin (UNUS SED LEO) bought @0.99USDT. But it's the only one I have, if you have any advice I'll take a look !

As you are seeking for user's opinon,  then it will be different surely.
If you seek my opinion then i would say that, this is indeed a wrong move.
Do not invest in coins like these.
These coins have many chances to get losses.
Better invest in stable coins IMO.
This will surely prevent you from losses.

Alright :) ! I'll back off from this one, most of you are telling me it's a bad idea anyways.

In my opinion, I would search for a more famous coin. The market is currently raising and the old tokens and coins are showing great stats. Pay your attention to the coins from top 100 and be calm about your money.

If you are looking to make investments here are some tips that can help you, obviously if you make investments choose the right and good project that you may invest in because there are too many scam projects and projects that offers shitcoins so be aware of them.And at first before investing make reviews and research about the project to look for its good platforms and potential.

        Dude, if you come to this market to earn money, then regardless of desires, you will have to work hard, read a lot, straining your eyes and mind. There is no one here who is ready to take your work for free on your back, you will have to do the difficult research yourself and make decisions.

In some cases, those that seek opinions of others had already concluded their choice but only want to cross check it whether it will correspond with other people idea.
You said METW is not doing any marketing for their V2 and are been traded on mercatox are your motivating factors to buy into their investment but I think that is not enough, have you checked their history, ICO price (if any) compare to the current price ?

If you are in doubt about the METM research you are doing, you should delay your investment plan. You also said that they didn't do any marketing before releasing V2. Why don't you try to wait for further news, after releasing V2? Please think again. ::)

True, in choosing an investment we must see coins that have potential in the market, so we have to choose the top one so we can avoid the loss, because in investment we cannot choose coins that are careless if the potential is not so clear.

if you are a person who does choose without risk or with a small risk, maybe your choice is right by choosing the top asset.
but for experienced investors, choosing a newly released sales project is sometimes very easy for them to choose a good project. and of course it will benefit them. of course the investment made has a greater risk.

I can definitely tell you so that you need to initially study the projects in which you want to invest about the project for which you are speaking, I do not consider it perseptive because capitalization of the token is already large and the chance of growth is very small.

Trust me it does not matter if the project looks really good to invest , it still has really big chance to fail . I use to follow really great projects in my opinion and if i look at them now then both of them are almost dead , and the idea behind the projects was really great , the problem was the lazy team that spent all the raised funds on stuff they don't need :/

Marketing is not a key issue. The most important thing is their partner and their investment. If everything is too low, they are always a small business.
Cheap tokens are not missing in the crypto market but the most important thing is the community and the potential of the project. It is different from the stock market.

Are the METM coins you mean MetaMorph? My opinion and suggestion for you is very simple, if you have been optimistic about METM coins, do not doubt your analysis and immediately invest right now. I also saw METM  in LATOKEN with ETH pairs. https://latoken.com/exchange/ETH-METM.

I agree here. Products created by platform can give a big potential for their token price value to rise unlike any other platform that does not hold anything but only promises and later on investors will be groping in the dark with out knowing what will be the fate of their investments.

METM is an average project, although I'm not holding the coin.  Do not just seek for public advice, there is no financial advisor here. Do proper research, then decide. Crypto investment involve risk taking, you should know that.

To be honest, a part of the my research is always to see how people feel about a coin.
For those small coins, the telegram is not active enough so I can’t find that out !

I have been trading forex for 8 years now and crypto since August 2017 :) but I find it always useful to get peoples’ opinion !

I felt so-many low market capped project to trap and i know that even some seem good offer, it doesn't end like that.

It has 400k $ market-cap for some reason, besides everything, there are lots of ethereum dex and most of them are deserted.

If you feel right to invest in this project then do it and invest small amount. In case of missing train you will regret if something noticeable news hit the market. After making your research it is understandable to make an investment decision with confidence. The rest will follow your path and you can also change your decision if something goes wrong on the project.

Is it a new project ? If they already have working products / platforms, it should be ok.
But im not too sure about new projects lately because they only want to make quick money.
METM has ico ? Mercatox is not a good exchange, there are many dead coins there.

yeah, maybe the OP shold think again about his investments plan on METM
i think its better if the OP invest in the best cryptocurrency, for example bitcoin and ethereum
just buy it in good exchange such as bittrex or binance

For me it's a big no traded on mercatox which is a pump and dump exchange? I rather suggest you to participate on binance launchpad because you see that all coins that launched there had an enormous increased in price, if you are lucky to get into then easy profit.

I think for all these assets almost all markets exist, even for some local exchanges in a country. if you want to be safe, indeed these two assets are the best, but see growth now look slower, with a slight increase and some decline.
many altcoin assets that we can see have high trade, even with assets like that we can get profits every day.

First exchange of choice isnt good. Project got listed on mercatox is purely being manipulated though. Or many whales can play with the price of it. Yeah, there are some project that are good listef also there but they are not paid for listig cause the exchange will benefit from listing it them. I only used 2 or 3 times on mercatox and believe me, if you want a good vokume and real one avoid this cause you can only see pure manipulations.

I suspect it as a scam coin, any small cap coin lister in mercatox is a possible scam project as far as I know. Do thr best research before investing. I can smell something fishy from this project.

I do not say you invest in it or not. But one of the most important factors you should take in mind is that do extensively research before making any investment in cryptocurrency. Any project can claim that it will beat ethereum or even bitcoin in the future. But your part is that on what basis, the project is claiming. So be aware.

Making investments are not difficult and can be manageable because we are the one who will choose a project to invest in so if you think that we need to take the risk and yes we have to but if we invest in good projects obviously we dont even think about that risk because good projects like Dencoin can find a solution to make investments worthy.

I wouldn't risk my money into this kind of platform. Honestly, if you think it is good to be true, then it will be impossible. Not everyone had an urge to create their token especially when it will be an ethereum platform. Looking at the possibilities, it will be 50-50 chance that this project will gonna be successful.

Anyhow, you've said METM are available to trade in Mercatox. But have they plan to list it in some known exchanges like binance, kucoin or coinbase?

Joining https://www.mintme.com/ could work out really nice as a practical lesson for understanding trade. You create your own token in few steps, trade it later and then see how it fluctuates. You can interact with others directly to back your token. Furthermore, you can back others and see this grow from scratch. Even your token can be worth more in the future.

Investment is a real thing and it takes courage and boldness to be part of the class of investors. Choosing this part in your life can really be amazing and change your life in a twinkle of an eye and same way it can bring you down. the great advice I will give is that, never forget these two basic tolls, research and hard work, without them, just forget it and know that you are in this alone and every decision is from your planned or calculated ideas.

It seems to me that you are just advertising this unknown coin. Since you have only 5 messages. I don’t know anything about METM, and I don’t naturally invest my money in a dubious crypto asset.

It will be safer for you to invest your money in Bitcoin since we all know that Bitcoin has a greater prospect and the future value is expected to be higher as compared to what it at the moment.

Don't invest with those kinds of projects. I reckon this opinion, you just have to choose a better coin like bitcoin and you will be stress free. You don't have to take any dose of any other random altcoins if you already have bitcoin.

Guys be aware of mercatox and co, most of the scam projects start listing with mercatox because the fee is very lower and mercatox never think of their customer, rather they list any project that pay fee. Either way, they both are the scammer. There's a lot of coin from mercatox proved to be scam coin.

Instead of investing our money in a new project whose performance is not yet clear on the market, I think it's better to invest in projects in top 100 coinmarketcap. After many scams in 2018, many trauma investors have invested in new projects due to the lack of clarity of the team and the product

If they are not doing any marketing, that means they do not have enough resources to promote their project or they simply lack the strategies or even determination to push forward their project. If I were you, stay away from this project. Mercatox is also one low-level exchange. Try to look for other options out there. There are a lot. Just be diligent enough.

That is right, any project that is quite sure of its project and serious about it will endeavor to use an exchange that is reputable, I wonder why project still use some of these little exchanges that are not popular and without volume, and then intend to get the attention of great investors that will keep their project alive.

There is no serious investor that will not consider an exchange first before thinking of investing in the project, and I wonder why they have to go on such exchange, because they cannot tell me it is money, they did ICO and they probably got enough money to fund their project, so I think a little greed and quest for low quality things is what is killing them, which makes me think it will be a very low quality project. People should just be careful with such types of projects.

I had suspicions about the Mercatox trading exchange, but I did not think that everything was so serious.  I have used this resource several times, but I guess I should cross it out of the list of exchanges that I use.
