Title: RIP Tony Benn
Post by: practicaldreamer on March 14, 2014, 01:06:12 PM
Very sad to hear this morning about the death of Tony Benn.

I saw him speak in 1984 during the Miners Strike and have always admired him. He was a true intellectual - and had wit and charm on top of that. He was a man of principle and a believer in the rights of the common man and social justice.

Most of all, he was thoroughly likeable and I'm sad he's gone. The world is a little worse off today with his passing.

It's the same each time with progress. First they ignore you, then they say you're mad, then dangerous, then there's a pause and then you can't find anyone who disagrees with you.

LOL - I reckon Tony Benn would have loved Bitcoin. In fact, I googled "Tony Benn Bitcoin" - but this thread was the first result  ??? and not much else thereafter.
