Title: Is there a way to exchange dogecoin for eth without using an exchange?
Post by: rdbase on June 16, 2019, 03:33:08 AM
I am wanting to know if there is a way to exchange a small amount of dogecoin around 3700 without needing to use an exchange because just to exchange then withdraw the amount of ethereum getting back once it is completed the transaction fee is half the amount after the exchange is done. ::)
Tried sites like changelly but they only take 10,500 dogecoins minimum per exchange at the time of this writing.
And dont have any exchange accounts like kraken or bittrex to do this either.
According to https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dogecoin it is around $12.

So if anybody wants to do a trade 1:1 let me know.

You need to find someone who is interested to buy the doge from you in the forum. $9 is a very little amount unless you find a doge lover.

Yes I know but if there might be a doge lover here who can do this without needing to send it onto an exchange site then it will be worth it for me to be honest.
Update to the amount have now to 4000 dogecoin.

So anyone who would like to do this trade 1:1 of ethereum let me know please.
We will go by what coingecko says the price is at the time of the trade and give the same amount back in ethereum. :)

I'd do it for 0.001BTC right now. It's a bit less than 1:1, but that's my offer ;)

This $9 was when I had 2700 doge posted in the OP. But I adjusted it with the amount I had before.
I now have 5000 dogecoin. So you need to go according to the coingecko link I posted above and enter in the amount to see the current rate it costs. As of now 5000 is worth $16.64 so with that in bitcoin price using preev rate it is 0.001859btc so would want around this range.
Thanks for displaying interest in this trade though.

My bad for mis-reading  :-\ :-\  5000DOGE is okay, but as I'm seeing in both poloniex and yobit (for reference), 5000 DOGE equal 0.0017BTCas of now. If we can get somewhere near that, I'd be happy to buy

Dogecoin is on yobit? Ah didnt check there as I just received an account there from another forum member.
If the withdrawal fee isnt to high to withdraw from the site once the exchange is done I might go this route as I need ethereum more then bitcoin at the moment.
Will check there and get back to you on this. Alright with you?

Yup, no problem there even if from my personal experience I'd nuke the whole Yobit exchange, servers and owners  ;D
