Title: Award Coin - Plagiarized Whitepaper/ FAKE CEO
Post by: Theb on June 16, 2019, 03:28:01 PM
What happened:: AwardCoin have blatantly plagiarized multiple sources found in the internet, some of the content doesn't even originate from other whitepapers but straight-out websites just found in Google's search engine. Their CEO's profile (including the name) appears to be stolen from an Account profile in a networking website.

Additional Notes:

Note # 1 : Plagiarized Intro from another whitepaper
Since their whitepaper is on a image format I have to manually search some areas of the page and the first I looked at is their intro for their ICO and instantly I got a hit. Their introduction came from MetaHash's Whitepaper (https://static.metahash.org/docs/MetaHash_WhitePaper_EN.pdf).

Note # 2 : Plagiarized Content from a Website (Even Examples are directly copied)
Another plagiarism found is when they have copied the content of Crowdsignal's article (https://crowdsignal.com/support/difference-between-a-poll-and-a-survey/), they even use the same example for both subjects.

Note # 3 : Fake CEO
The project's CEO is also fake, from what I discovered the "Syed Khalid Hussain Shah" (If that's even a real person) is just a person part of a sketchy ad networking/ traffic website. I have found out that this "Syed Khalid Hussain Shah" of ADZbuzz also has a Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/khalidxpert) talking about the Ad website but nothing about the Award Coin Project.

P.S.
You should also take note that Syed Khalid Hussain Shah is a name used by a famous religious leader in Islam.

Done and supported, forgot to add a flag on this guy since I've been looking for Award Coin's account and what it looks like to me is that he just just the campaign manager for it. Thank you for creating the flag btw.

Support submission done from my end. I believe new flag system is going to be really helpful for forum users and results are starting to reflect. Its going to  be the easiest way for a user to get clear idea about scammers and hopefully they will be able to keep them far from those bad guys at-least.

I've been looking for Award Coin's account and what it looks like to me is that he just just the campaign manager for it.

Thanks OP for revealing those scammers.

No problem, I just wished I had more time gathering up more evidence against them as its to hard to manually search one by one their whitepaper since it is on a image format but so far the active flag has 6 members who supports (including you) and none who oppose. This just tells me that what I have gathered is enough to convince most of the members. Also most of their linkedin profiles for their team members are recently created with few (fake) connections some of them don't even have profile pictures on it.
