Idex doesn't even have an app. Whenever you see some app on the play store make sure to check if that app is also available on the official site.
Idex doesn't have a mobile app! Ask the support if in doubt in similar situations. It is better to waste some time waiting for support to answer your questions than wasting your money by downloading a fake app.

As always, it is best to get the information straight from the horse’s mouth. When it comes to retrieving information on support channels and/or downloading wallets (Apps on stores, GitHub and so on) it is always wise to be rather adamant about it, and go to the official website to perform such matters. Of course one needs to be sure to land on the correct official site in the first place, and not some look-alike/spelt-alike site that google returns in it’s search results, that may be a malintent to redirect you to the wrong place to start with.

I thought they have a mobile app I was looking from their website but no page or link that you can download idex app.

and I found this from the support staff.
We're working on the mobile UI too with the current design. We have a new UI in the works that is having mobile professionally done too. Later on, we will have an app for IOS and Android, but that won't happen anytime soon.

At the moment IDEX is not properly supported on a mobile browser.
So it means they have a plan to make app for IOS/Android not soon but maybe in the future.

I noticed that there are some other idex app in play store but different service and feature. So I guess they are not.

Also, beware of fake phishing idex site there are many ads on google with fake idex just like this one below.

Code:
idexx[.]pw

It looks like it has already been removed. For future reference, you could report fake apps by:

  • tapping the three dots on the top right
  • tap "Flag as inappropriate"
  • tap "Copycat or impersonation" then Submit

Let's try to make the cryptospace a bit more friendly towards newcomers.

As usual scammers do fake apps so that they can phished out important credentials from idex users. As we all know that Idex exchange is one of having a great volume exchange. This is becoming the target of the scammers to phished this users out of their credentials and then steal what's inside the wallet of a certain user. They are just good for nothing lazy, heartless and rude individuals caring for nothing just to earn money in an illegal way.

There is not only one idex application that is fake. I have observed that there are many unknown sources appearing on the app store, scammers are very sophisticated and sophisticated, so be really careful when putting your information in unknown applications. Origin, especially where your money is stored

I guess they ( appstore and playstore ) should be more thorough in applications that been in their platform, like they should require some proofs that certain app is really on their site, specifically from github.

Not a fan of idex but thanks for the heads up.

There are few exchanges that haven't released their apps officially yet you will find them on playstore,be careful people they are just there to steal your login and passwords

Scammers always find their ways to scam others, from scam projects, phishing links, to fake apps. The common reason is lazy and careless people will easily fall into scammers' traps.
Personally, I think it is too easy and safely to visit official sites of projects, exchanges in order to get links to apps (if they have apps for mobile). Why they do not get apps from official websites?
It is always risky to fall into traps if people search for apps on Play Store (for Android), and Store for iOS.
Just keep it in minds, and follow that rule, you will never get traps from scammers.

Thanks for all the heads up everyone. I'd like to ask this community what is the best wallet for IDEX and where do you download it from. I want to buy Chainlink with USD and am not finding a secure and quick way of doing it...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should use IDEX with MetaMask or hardware wallet. Download MetaMask from https://metamask.io. Import your seed locally and make sure there's no malware lurking around in your computer.

On another note, I don't think you can buy Chainlink with USD directly from IDEX. Another option for you is to use an app like Abra to buy Ethereum/Bitcoin with your credit/debit card and then transfer it to your MetaMask account to buy LINK from IDEX. You can also use Coinbase to do that, but it will require KYC.
