Asian is most country have friendly for cryptocurrency, for the first country support bitcoin is China and after banned by China Japan become more friendly country always support how bitcoin become legal transaction payment.

I think that South Korea should be on the list as well.
They have a lot of blockchain hubs created all around the country. The most important country of all is Japan where they clearly have adopted the blockchain technology by placing crypto ATMs in a lot of spots.

There is a country that should be considered as one of the most friendly country to cryptocurrency, that is Iran. That country has been used crypto very well and perhaps on that time had saved them when usd rate was very high against their currency.

You should add up Philippines on the list.

Not really, yeah sure they have this exchanges available to Philippines but is the cryptocurrencies main role on to be traded? Cryptocurrencies are still money and in order for it to be money people needs to use it in transactions outside from being just traded in the exchange. And right now Philippines barely have any establishments that accepts them to be paid, they are only a handful of them. People in the Philippines still needs to convert it to Fiat so that they can use their profits from crypto to spend it there.

Yes, Philippines is one of the Asian countries that have got increased usage. There weren't much development in business level adoption relative to bitcoin, but it has large number of stores and common people who use bitcoin similar to that they use the traditional fiat.

In Philippines same as the acceptance there is increased number of scams that made some hard days for the cryptocurrency users as some regulations were put forth by the government. Other than the stated country, there are many Asian countries that have a good number of users.

Asian countries are the most crypto friendly countries on the surface of the earth because they love the technology and strongly believe in it. Countries like Japan, singapore, and Vietnam are truly lovers of cryptocurrency and they work walk towards it development everyday.

Japan and Singapore in my opinion are the most prominent in the development of blockchain and cryptocurrency in Asia. why do I say that, because Japan and Singapore are the most capable of supporting the blockchain technology infrastructure and cryptocurrency, plus both governments of the two countries that do not limit broad development in general use in the community make them very capable compare other country in asia.

But still, Filipinos can used their platform coins.ph to pay for their electricity, water, internet and even their credit cards. That alone makes Philippines one of the friendliest in Asia. So there's a lot of things going on the background that will make Philippines one crypto hub in Asia.

yes japan are the most welcome country in asia, i do also think thailand is very welcome with cryptocurrency, they make some crypto legal to be traded and to be use for transactions.

It is true about Japan. They are ahead of its counterparts in Southeast Asia when it comes to developing the cryptocurrency business. A number of Japanese companies have taken the advantage of the technology to raise funds. Although, the government is considering tightening regulation of the industry.

Honestly, that feature of the said company really contributed to the awareness of Filipinos about cryptocurrency.

I'm 100% sure only a few will use it if the service is only limited in the crypto world. Good thing the company associated it to the usual nature of why PH people used digital payments. Coins.ph is now way better now compare to GCASH and Paymaya as far as my own observation is concern.

Yes, PH is a crypto friendly country to the point that lots of scammers here taking advantage. The awareness and service are not that much compared to the listed countries above but development is continuous and more companies want to associate in crypto.

There are a lot of crypto-related developments in Asia and even in China where the government banned bitcoin but we know that there is a strong underground movement supporting cryptocurrency. Japan is the leader and we also have Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore. We should also not forget to mention countries like Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and even Malaysia. I am sure that there is a bright future awaiting for the cryptocurrency industry in the whole of Asia and soon we can see that many governments will have no choice but to allow a regulated environment where everybody should  be allowed to play fairly and squarely.

As an Asian I am proud the many countries that support the use of Bitcoin. Unfortunately I didn't see India there, they could be considered friendly. Maybe it's because the government doesn't support them. Although it is still a rumor but people fear against the law for using Bitcoin.

HK is sort of operating as an alternative for mainland crypto companies to relocate at the moment, and obviously the government there recognizes that there is a huge opportunity for them to really try set the tone and regulate the market in order to gain more revenue.

However, with the political instability in recent months, there could be pressure from the PRC for Hong Kong to further tighten regulation to the point that they become restrictive.

This is all speculative at this stage, and obviously nothing is confirmed - I'm just saying that I would not be surprised if Hong Kong in the future turns its back on crypto somehow due to political pressure to prevent capital flight.

Also, I echo the sentiment of those who mentioned Philippines - I think that they have one of the most robust crypto payment networks in coin.ph and others, and from my experience, crypto adoption is certainly huge there.

My country is not that huge but I can say that you can use your bitcoin and other cryptocurrency easily, most of the developing countries in Asia are adopting cryptocurrency maybe we realize the importance of this technology and I know we will have a strong regulation in the future so let's see if this thing happen or not but I know most of the country will follow.

South Korea? How the hell would anyone not consider South Korea a crypto friendly country? They literally have exchanges that are global and making money from everyone around the world and using that money to pay taxes as well and cash out to make the national currency stronger as well.

There is no better example than South Korea, even Singapore and Hong Kong is not as strong as South Korea because in reality they are just allowing them to trade bitcoin or spend bitcoin but they are not "supporting" it, they are just allowing it whereas in South Korea the government literally helped build an exchange in South Korea. The only one that is literally better is Japan because they have been the first place that took the MT.Gox hit but they kept up the support and now allow over 250k stores to sell with crypto thanks to some card they have over there.

I think Philippines is also one of the crypto friendly countries. Most remittances here starts to acknowledge bitcoin and studies how to apply it on their business. Some merchants already accepts bitcoin where you can pay some monthly bills like electricity and internet but those are on selected areas for now.

I'm from Asia and glad to see that Asian economic power are embracing cryptocurrency but I definitely like to see the Philippines be one of them they have a Central Bank certified cryptocurrency to a local exchange and they also have two or three Bitcoin ATM and there are so many Filipinos involved in cryptocurrency.

I think the only country who's not crypto friendly in Asia is China since cryptocurrency us banned over there. Even though most does not fully support crypto, we should be thankful it still legal to use it on other country. It is quite possible that the Asian countries will become the engine of the new growth of the world economy. The Asia-Pacific region is now showing impressive growth rates, and if China is quite hostile to cryptocurrencies, then other Asian countries are more loyal to cryptocurrencies. Especially pretty small countries. If India and China allowed full use of cryptocurrency in their countries, then I think that Bitcoin could cost $ 40,000 this year.

I agree, Philippines show a great response to the crypto and the growth is quite well, Asian got a got response and I think the response is better than the western countries, and it certainly will help a lot of the citizens to get a better economic life, unfortunately the China and India are banning crypto, if they support crypto I think the influence will spread wider

Those 3 along with South Korea are quite involved with the more tech part of crypto. They also hold some international exchanges.

Adoption-wise I think Vietnam and Philippines are quite friendly, at least last I heard about the former. They haven't attempted to criminalize it yet like India.

More and more adaptation in the neighboring country Asia will get recognized throughout the world. But we couldn't deny the fact that most of the neighboring country is against in any activity of cryptocurrency. They still think that it is a threat to their nation or maybe they were just afraid that people might choose it over banks.

How about Philippines? It might not be that popular to people but bitcoin is regulated in our country. The government supports the use of it and there are even multiple of local exchanges in our country. We can't fully use bitcoin since some place can't support it but I think we are also a crypto friendly country.

I have red that Asian countries prefer to make payments with their smart phones ( everyday payments like buying coffee and paying for groceries) oppose to the EU and USA where electronic cards are the NR1 option.

So I think that the Asia countries are in far better situation to start using crypto payments than the rest of the world. Because compared to other countries it would be easy to make those payments with their already used phones.

That is true and eventually most of cryptocians that always active in crypto is Asians. They are most serious about Cryptocurrency investment or offered work. I think because Asians is hard working people.

It says it open 3 crypto exchange, although regulators are very strict about granting licenses, but still this news is welcoming to Asia and could be consider as friendly country as well.

I'm pleased to see that Philippines is so frequently mentioned that should be on the list. Reasons are laid as to why it should be included. And with those, we can really say that Philippines is a crypto-friendly country. Just a few clicks and the internet will give ample reasons why it should be considered.

But to my fellow countrymen from the Philippines, our country may not make it to the top 3 yet but soon  enough, it'll be a part of that list. I know it can. And it will. ;)

I won't go so far as calling it friendly, but there certainly is a lot of developments happening on crypto lately on the community side of things. As for the government though, there hasn't been any strict rules and regulations apart from the constant warnings the Central Bank has been issuing since 2017. With the rise of fake MLMs and HYIPs in the said country, I'm pretty sure they would be issuing yet another memo regarding cryptocurrencies anytime soon.

Include also Philippines, the South East Asian country that is friendly also in cryptocurrency. We, Filipinos are gladly saying that we are part of the growing industry of crypto. In fact, many Filipinos are working in customer services and administration in every ICOs. The president of the Philippines also is not discouraging the citizens to stay away from crypto. In short, soon we will adapt also cryptocurrency as means of payment.

The country is a fairly advanced country in terms of technology so that the country's government can provide clear regulations regarding the development of blockchain technology and the use of crypto currencies. So I think if there is a country that prohibits the use of crypto currency it does not mean that the country cannot adapt to technology but that the country has not been able to make clear regulations regarding the use of crypto currencies.

Wherein these countries are more than enough to get cryptocurrency to spread across to other Asian countries, at least we have very great countries with solid economy that are crypto friendly there, unlike china that is just proving unnecessarily stubborn and doing everything possible to make sure crypto does not see the light of the day in their country, but with VPN, I am sure that some Chinese citizens will still be able to use cryptocurrency, although the ban is mainly on miners and not yet on the use of crypto, but the move is still to frustrate the existence of crypto when they know that 70% if miners are from china.

I agree, as in my country where cryptocurrency is prohibited from transacting. but we are not forbidden to have it as an asset. but the latest news, the government plans to include it on the stock market

India can never be added to the list when there government has openly declare war for cryptocurrency by trying to pass law that will put to jail any of their citizens that uses crypto, which will make some of their citizens to withdraw for the fear of being jailed as no one wants to get jail over what crypto or payment system.

I really see this as an unfair move by their government because of their selfishness and the wrong perception that they have about cryptocurrency and it’s function, I do hope they will eventually learn from these other Asian countries after seeing the benefit it will give to them.

I wonder,  these are progressive countries, not afraid to venture in something new. very open to changes  especially if this will benefit their people. how come our country, they don't want to be open on this. Most government are quite still skeptical about cryptocurrency operation, a part of them believes that the solution of cryptocurrency is the one that will bring about full blown economy boost to the country, but are scared of its part of not being able to control it because it operates a decentralized system, so they would rather just continue to look as things unfold.

Those who are too quick to ban like china or trying to ban it like India are not just playing their game well, with or without them, these citizens will still use cryptocurrency to make money, and where the issue will be is them not bringing the money to the country out of fear, but they will take it to another country which will boost their own economy.

Of course you will have, I think we have more African countries that are even supporting and friendly with cryptocurrency, I could remember a project I was following then, AFCASH, I think AFCASH even went to visit one of the governors in Nigeria about their cryptocurrency and they welcomed the idea with their whole heart.

I have also learnt of people in GHANA, SOUTH AFRICA and some other great African countries being friendly with cryptocurrency, just that their own government have not openly come out to declare their support for it yet, so relax mate, I am sure a time will come that AFRICA and CRYPTOUCRRENCY will be like twins.

I think Bitcoin was never been ban in China before in fact Bitcoin was legal in their market but unfortunately EOS was their top coins and Bitcoin was ranked only 12th among the crypto currencies which is i don't know why. Crypto currencies were never ban either but only the foreign ICOs as they believe that ICOs have many scam projects in which they don't want their people to become victim.

I don’t even see that as prohibition, because what you have access to old as an asset, you can as well use it too for transactions, because the system does not run both separately, it is still through the same open platform, and cryptocurrency has been developed for any transaction through it not to be disclosed.

Except maybe you mean they prohibited it from being used openly, as in merchants cannot use it as payment means, but if the prohibition extends to its use over internet, I really see that as an empty word that has been shredded, because there is no way it can stand for a system they cannot monitor not control.

There are some Asian countries that are crypto-friendly in fact they are proud of it and they are all open-minded on the future of payment system. You might include South Korea and in my country Philippines, though we are far from other countries adoption of cryptocurriencies but we are gaining slow momentum and we are taking it seriously on spreading awareness to other fellow citizens.

The support Japan had for cryptocurrency increased around 2016/2017 when China decided to ban cryptocurrency, and that was even when the cryptocurrency market started gaining much support from Japan, lots of experts then claimed that much support came from Japan and that helped the price increase then. So Japan has been one of the major countries that are backing cryptocurrency right from time. I didn't know About the Hong Kong, but I do know that Singapore is another country that supports cryptocurrency as well. These three are not the only ones, there are others as well.

I think Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong will always be the top on number of crypto users because they belong to the rich countries in Asia, unlike some other countries. The country`s economy will always be the reason.

The rest of Asia might takes time to catch up with Japan, Sinapore and Hongkong because of some restrictions that they imposed on bitcoin and crypto exchanges. But there are also asian countries that may follow the examples of Japan, Singapore and Hongkong although the users are still small compared to the three. Philippines has already 37 crypto exchange operator s licensed by its economic zones aside from the 11 operators approved by the the central bank. The Philippines need to increase its crypto users and speed up the adoption of bitcoins in many busnisses like retails and remittance to become one of the crypto friendly countries.

Its really good to see that those Asian countries is belong on the top most friendly Crypto especially Japan. But there are some Asian countries are not yet on the list. That's very true, these countries have really shown huge support for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in general. Take for instance Singapore, i know there is an exchange called Bitrue which is doing very well at the moment. Hopefully, other countries would open their doors to cryptocurrencies too.

This list needs to be added to a country that is very friendly with cryptocurrency and blockchain, Philippines. I was really surprised about the effort in expanding knowledge of blockchain and crypto in the educational environment in the Philippines. they are also supporting Bitcoin ATMs, this is crazy. In the next 5 years, they will be a country of great influence in the crypto market.

I'm also hoping for that to happen. But before that some people here should be enlighten first what really is bitcoin because some investment schemes here are saying that they have crypto investments to provide payouts to their investors and can sustain their business.

Good development for the Asian country, they cannot dominate in terms of economy standing but they are allowing crypto as an opportunity to improve their economy. I'm living in Asia and I'm happy with the current crypto status in our country, I'm hoping more improvement will come in the long run as improvement will lead to more adoption.

Hongkong is not a country. It may be autonomous to a certain extent but it is still under the administrative supervision of china. In other words, it is not a totally independent country. It still belongs to china. Hongkong allowed Bitcoin but the mainland china is restricting it. I guess the 3rd spot goes to South Korea.

I agree that even if bitcoin is not yet fully adopted in Philippine country but are very friendly to bitcoin and didn't consider bitcoin as what most people think about bitcoin. I have been using one of the 3 current local exchange in the Philippines to use it as one of the payment system that is available or even buying or selling game credits if I want to.

When talking about crypto in Japan, I think Japan is the most friendly country to bitcoin, I have visited Japan several times and I have felt it myself, shopping using bitcoin, is very easy.
I hope it will spread to other countries in ASIA and possibly to the whole world.  ;)

South Korea is also a bitcoin-friendly country. South Korea's government has legalized and made an official regulation regarding cryptocurrency that every time a crypto transaction using a bank account must use a real name. and the volume of bitcoin trading in South Korea is quite high. but in my opinion the most friendly Asian country with crypto is Japan. if we live in Japan we can use bitcoin to shop, some shops in Japan have accepted bitcoin as a means of payment.

Japan is no doubt taking the first spot. Next is Korea, followed by Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and so forth. But we can't ignore countries from middle eats too as part of ASIAN,like the United Arab Emirates. Heard the news about UAE having several crypto projects too.

Furthermore Hong Kong and Singapore also strongly support cryptocurrency. Maybe you've forgotten a country that also loves cryptocurrency, that's malaysia. It is the largest country in Asia that supports cryptocurrencies, and its government also supports cryptocurrencies. In 2020 they are planning to apply it to payments and limit cash usage. In addition, Malaysia also has many large and successful projects in this market

Hong Kong might be in a fickle situation though. Right now, the public loves bitcoin and crypto in general however the government is in a open war with the public so it is a matter of time before they might ban crypto all together. What is the power that governments have? Their taxes and banks that have billions right? What happens when all public withdraws their money and moves to crypto? They can't be taxed if hidden well and banks will have less money so government gets weaker, right now Hong Kong public is not doing that in an alarming rate but as soon as that happens I am 99% sure government will ban it all together.

I agree with Japan being one of the countries that had a huge level of adaptation when it comes to crypto. They might have started adapting crypto a bit late but their progress is fast. That's true, they are very much open minded and very accommodating than China and even when compared to other Asian countries.
They don't only welcome the Blockchain technology but also embrace Bitcoin cause I personally believe that neglecting Bitcoin and welcoming the Blockchain technology is kinda sided. Though they are different, Bitcoin still plays a role in Blockchain technology.

There are also some asian cryptocurrency friendly like Philippines and Singapore. But in the Philippines there are only stores that are accepting even the cryptocurrencies are legal in this country. yes I also agree with you Asia is a continent with the most population in the world with the increasing number of Asian countries that accept cryptocurrency so I am sure in the future cryptocurrency will be strong in Asia. and now more Asian countries are supporting blockchain. It is because of their Government, for me Japan is the most well govern country in the whole wide world, well disciplined people, and they have very good culture. Japan is a open minded type of country as well as their Government to improve their country by using other's people idea, they are not rejecting it because of bitterness instead they are giving warm welcome all the ideas they could in order to gain wealthier type of economy and livelihood.

In my opinion, Asian countries are no longer dependent on the dollar, and they are trying to escape from the dollar. currently the country with the strongest economy is China. and there crypto is very large. so to be on par with the others, the decision to accept crypto is the best choice. because with crypto. currency is to be equal. meanwhile, why is a big country like the US so difficult to accept crypto. maybe they don't want to lose their popularity in the world. so long as the dollar is still influential in the world. they will continue to ensure that crypto is not safe.

Besides South Korea, Philippines should be listed as well as those 4 that you've stated. Because here in the Philippines, the government doesn't care about how cryptocurrency regulates in this country. They just get taxes or fees in the exchange so that they will still benefit those people who uses crypto.

I see it coming back then, from the moment that China declare a trade war with U.S. I knew it was something that cutting with ties not only with China and U.S. but also the majority of Asian countries. I noticed that there is a high competition of cryptocurrency among European countries and what does the majority of Asians do is just using it so maybe that is why Asian countries are more crypto friendly.

I think that all of Asia is actively using cryptocurrency to one degree or another.  At least the residents of this region are very interested in the cryptocurrency market.  Of course, their governments do not always support the desires of their people, but nevertheless, except Japan, the Philippines and South Korea, even China and North Korea also belong to those countries that are interested in cryptocurrency.  Although their interest is very different from each other.  Despite the fact that, for example, China and India very often speak negatively about the cryptocurrency, they do it because they want to control this market and financial turnover and therefore want to have their own national cryptocurrency in order to profit from the cryptocurrency market themselves.  For example, North Korea also plans to use cryptocurrency, but only in order to circumvent US sanctions.

I think Chinese will be the next in line to become Blockchain friendly country. As everyone said Japan will be the top most crypto friendly country. I have heard South Korea is also becoming one of the crypto friendly country.

I've already seen news about China kicking out western crypto/blockchain companies from their Chinese offices. Couple weeks later (so it was like yesterday) we can see news about Chinese companies starting their research on crypto currency developing.

Japan is very concerned about technology and Singapore is one country with an open mind, both countries are very accepting of Bitcoin even though many other countries reject it and afraid.

Usually developed countries in Asia are always more advanced in terms of technology, able and willing to adopt the progress. as well as bitcoin they are very supportive of the convenience provided. to my knowledge Japan and Singapore are the most ready countries and there are some countries that have also been able to accept but are still constrained by regulations that have not yet been formed.

China is currently researching blockchain, but theynot friendly with cryptocurrency projects and corporations related to it. Recently, the Chinese government is very strict in controlling cryptocurrency, they force the offices related to the projects to close. And the exchanges in China are also suspended, I don't know why they have to do that but it is very likely that the Chinese government will open an exchange for their own nation in the future.

That's correct, they recently banned bitcoin in their country. They are not one of the friendly cryptocurrencies countries in asia. They have strict regulations in cryptocurrencies and there are also penalty for those people who illegally using cryptocurrencies. There are only few asian countries that are crypto friendly like Singapore and Japan where many people are using bitcoin legally.

a lot of crypto project registered and operated there. even though i don't see there is a lot of restaurants or bar that publicly reveal that they are accepting bitcoin as a payment, i am sure there is a lot of merchants willing to accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a payment processor if you talk and ask them.

the bitcoin atm also pretty much available near some malls , forgot which one but i found 3 of them.

I have visited singapore and japan, and it's true that they are crypto friendly countries that they are now a lot of stores who are already accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method, but there are still more people in their country who does not have any interest to buy bitcoin or amy other cryptocurrency because they don't believe on it's benefits that will given to them.

Indeed Asia offers a huge contribution to the crypto world and those countries that are considered to be the heart of crypto in Asia are all rich and resembles a great progress when it comes to technology. We can actually consider the Philippines as a huge contributor to the crypto world. Amidst being a third world country, it still has many investors which offers much in different altcoins. The technology also in the Philippines is already improving that's why I'm pretty sure it would keep up in the changes occuring in the crypto world.

Blockchain friendly and crypto friendly are completely different concepts altogether, China is planning to implement the blockchain and so does majority of the nations around the world but what are the countries that will accept bitcoin and other crypto is a different question altogether and i doubt China will be accepting crypto and that is the stand they are taking for the past few years and i do not expect any changes anytime soon.

China is starting to adopt blockchain technology and they are already planning to launch their own currency just like Facebook's Libra coin, but crypto mining is still banned in china due to the increase of scams. But countries like Japan, Singapore, and Hongkong are really crypto friendly because they truly believe to it's potential that it gives them benefits to them.
