Then the price drops, so be it.

What kind of question is this? aren't we in that price level few weeks ago? I see that your account was created since May 31 so if you are new to crypto's. You don't have to worry about it because drops are basically a normal thing for the market.

And alts will also share the same move as the master's move, in short alts will go down too.

Bitcoin has risen at a better rate than of altcoins. So, if bitcoin drops, altcoins would also drop but in lesser rate than bitcoin.
Previously, when the price of bitcoin started dropping, it would have gone into another crypto bringing up its prices but with the emergence of stable coins, people would jump to stable coins if prices starts to decrease. Hence, increasing the rate of drop.

Currently BTC is up to 10k threshold, altcoin has paid on BTC is decreasing very strong. If BTC continues to dump so hard, altcoin will be even more catastrophic

of course alt will follow btc, we already see btc drop to under 4k $, and eth drop below 100$.
this normal when btc down, what meaning your question? i think all crypto player know about this.
if you new in crypto down worry its a natural thing when btc down other will follow.

last year ago the price of Bitcoin has dropped and Alts too experienced the same thing, have you ever seen a situation when the decline occurred at the price of Bitcoin some time ago? that it's a very bad condition for the price of coins on the market and now you don't need to panic or worry because the price of Bitcoin will reach $ 10K. current market conditions are stable.

always alternative coins follow the btc , btc is the king of crypto currency. if the price of btc goes 4K then surely alt coins does the same. eth will go 50-100$. btc going to low means the, people are taking the money again. so all the market going to red.

Often what we see if BTC goes down bitcoin also goes down too, but what happens now is the price of bitcoin rises at the price of several altcoins down. So what you need to do is if you are a trader, use your analytical technique to find out what will happen to altcoins

As you can see if bitcoin being dump all of the alts is bleeding too, and that what happen if btc will drop even a less drop. That how volatile the market is but if you see the situation now btc keeps rising then enjoy your profit ahead.

If Bitcoin goes up, altcoins will go down.
If Bitcoin goes down, altcoins will go down more.

We all know that our altcoins are pretty useless and we are waiting for the last pump to sell them for Bitcoin.  :D

So far altcoins are dependent on bitcoin in terms of its price rise and down. So generally, price of altcoins will go down if bitcoin falls in price. However, altcoins are becoming independent and this is for a good reason. Many coins have started developing coins on their own blockchain. I think bitcoin will reach $12000 before falling.

of course I think altcoin will fall too, like the previous event, when Bitcoin crashed then I'm sure the altcoin will also fall.
although sometimes only a few altcoins follow the movement of Bitcoin, the rest have their own trends.

If in the future BTC goes drops to 7K - 8K then ALT will also lose parent and go drops too but it will rise again and like that continue regarding prices in the market, you don't need to panic when holding ALT in the current situation cause the market is currently certain the bull run right.

with no mention of prices, the downward trend in bitcoin will be followed by altcoin. and I think the altcoin average will follow in the footsteps of bitcoin. only a few altcoins in the opposite direction. but indeed the decline for each altcoin will be different, according to each ability

With a sharp fall, there is always panic on the market. I am sure many coins will immediately go down a few points. But notice the growth of Bitcoin to 10,000 does not greatly affect the growth of 90% of the market. In Thoria, most coins should not fall in price.

Title: Re: if btc drops...

Alts will also drop its usd value. All of the altcoins are dependent on bitcoin in terms of fiat value. Even if it has a high btc value, the fiat value will still be the same. If that happens then you only have two options hodl or sell if you have weak emotion. If btc dumps hard again it's an opportunity for buyers to accumulate more.

I so much agree with this and we should not expect more changes in price in a negative way now as it is difficult for bitcoin to fall back to $7000 as the market conditions keep improving! I visited coindesk today and I find many good news  and that means that bitcoin may be  on it way towards $15,000 trading area. It happens in this way in 2017 and from there we should expect more flipping as funds will flow into alternatives coins market. Altcoins will benefit when people or investors think bitcoin has been over bought.

Some altcoins will drop other will stay the same it depends on the coin, there are some coins that only depends on Bitcoin on its market price and volume, we have seen this happen a hundred times and this has been the scene ever since.

The altcoins will drop as well, why? Most altcoins are paired in bitcoin so if the bitcoins price drop the altcoins will drop as well, as simple as that. Well if the bitcoin drops it's a great opportunity to invest not just on bitcoin but also to other altcoins. I've noticed it last year when bitcoin drops there's a lot of good cryptocurrency to invest in but now they're running bullish.

If the BTC goes down, then what happens to the altcoin also decreases even though the percentage of the decline is different from BTC, you can see as an example in the crypto market today because BTC is increasing and altcoin is following to go up although the percentage is very different.

I would suggest for you to check first the market volume as even though a price of a certain crypto decreases that does not mean all of the tokens will follow with it. Even if it is BTC, as we already experienced similar kind of market situation where BTC is declining but prices of altcoins are increasing, vice versa.

I think that some altcoins may also drop again following the Bitcoin. However, not all of them will drop, some coins may be still stable and stay in their rate or maintain it. However, I don't think that the price of the BTC will drop drastically if we are looking at the progress of the market so far. The BTC price is really amazing and significant for the increase.

People will be rushing to sell their bitcoin for altcoin without care about the support wall and that's why the dump will happen for altcoin.
Bitcoin gets increase but altcoin a bit difficult to get increase to consider the volume gets centralized on the bitcoin, the majority of increase on altcoins depend on the development that can be seen by investors especially for speculators.

BTC has a great influence in this market and the BTC is controlling all available altcoin so the price reduction of Bitcoin will greatly affect the profitability of investors. I think this is the rule in crypto and no one can resist this king during the past time. It is still not clear what will happen next, but I believe Bitcoin will remain stable until the end of June so don't worry too much.

that's right, the problem is that bitcoin is still a benchmark for the prices of coins on the market, so when bitcoin will decline, it is likely that all coins that are still dependent on bitcoin will also decline because it has become a tradition from the beginning until now.

Bitcoin pump altcoin dump
Bitcoin dump altcoin hard dump
If Bitcoin became stable for a moment then altcoin can create correction then follow Bitcoin price action this means that the trend of Bitcoin bring effect to the altcoin because of btc pair in the market.

I think you are wrong because the price of bitcoin always determines the price of altcoin too. When the price of bitcoin falls, the altcoin also has the same impact. It's true that not all altcoins fall but the altcoin average won't be able to survive in the trend and will eventually follow the bitcoin trend.

Price fluctuation is normal in cryptocurrency, there is no new about it. If bitcoin`s price drop it does not really directly affect altcoin, the thing is that people decides to also sell their altcoin when bitcoin drops that is why altcoin`s price go down also. Though, if the people do not sell their altcoin, then the price will most likely not move or get higher. The ups and downs always depends on the crypto community.

Not only months but the value can recover within that day or two  , if not then the value van recover within a week  . a month is already too long for a recovery .  being a pioneer is not involved on this situation because even newly coins can also experience a drop and rise of the price   . although all those crypto coins wont be stable like what you said because those cryptos that can be stable are only stable coins that have a 1 usd value  .

Then the altcoin will drop too deep following bitcoin drops. I cannot imagine what will happen if bitcoin price drops until that price because that will makes the altcoin will losing the power to stay at a price now, and that will make people panic. The market will have so many order to sell because of the fear that happens in the market. But usually, after the price drop, the price will recover and will increase to the higher rate, and sometimes, the price can break the higher price back.

If the BTC goes for $ 7-8,000 then the market conditions will be much worse. I don't think it can take that much. I think it can not go below to 8500 and now BTC price is 10,000+ dollars. From here BTC will go up.

It will definitely decrease accordingly. Because alts are all paired with Bitcoin and when bitcoin goes down, alts must go down.
There is a very easy to remember law:
+ BTC increased -> alts slightly increased
+ BTC decreased -> alts fell sharply

Btc drops and whole altcoins will do the same as bitcoin but those altcoins will be getting the worst chart than bitcoin because so many people only interested to exchange their altcoin for bitcoin.
I guess when bitcoin goes down to the 8k rate and then altcoin will go down more than 30% from its current price.

obviously there will be a decline in altcoin prices. big or small depends on the ability of the altcoin to make the transition from the increase to the decline that occurred. because the effects of the decline in bitcoin will be felt in the altcoin market. especially if the decline in large numbers.

the decline in bitcoin will clearly make a decline in the overall market. we have known and seen that happen. even in a dump, we see how altcoin follows the downward movement of bitcoin. some altcoin might be able to survive and actually make an increase. but that only happens to assets that pump only on every update that is made.

7-8k well Bitcoin might shed so much value but I can assure you that for altcoins it is usually worse...which is why the last bearish market left so many altcoins for dead and it had never been the same.

Bitcoin is the basis of most of the altcoins so if btc drops, the altcoins drops also. If you would observe and compare their charts then you will notice the connection they had. The recent price increase last May proves it because of their uncanny relationship.
It could be safe to say that 85% of these coins are affected this way because so coins have demand and pump groups bumping them up.

As usual altcoin will go down and panic altcoin holders.
This causes traders to have to change trading strategies, choose a cut loss or continue to hold their coins.
this is a difficult decision.

for example, the price of bitcoin will reduce the price to such an extent, it will most likely be that the other altcoins will certainly not have a price, but it is not as easy as we think that bitcoin will reduce the price to such depth, and I cannot imagine for example it will happen, but I will always be optimistic that the price of bitcoin will not be able to go down so deep.

When bitcoin price drops the alts will likely to drop as well but some alts are not depending to btc, just like what happened early last year.

Btc price is continuously dropping last year after its ath but some alts managed to soar high. Alts have different movement and even btc soar high this year already some alts remain at the bottom so it depends.

We want the prices to be increasing always but having red days is also needed if we want to make profits from investing on it.Currently the prices reaching $11,000 and more in the coming days so plan your investments on the crypto currencies since the price increase in bitcoin will also affect most of the altcoins to follow the price movement of bitcoin.

yes, that's a true fact.  The BTC is still now the most dominant coin and certainly its price effects to the market. So when it fails the altcoins follows it. But when it increases then the traders try to sell the altcoin and go back to the basis-BTC. That's why I think that situation happens.

The attitudes of most traders are still the same it' all about how to quickly earned so we are seeing this movements as the market still dominated by bitcoin and each movements this coin go it's been chased by traders, there's a need of much stronger pumped before we can see diversions from big earners and lift up the alts community.

The market is still bullish. We are in a consolidation phase. Hopefully we are now nearing the end of it, and back to price rises - some encouraging signs today.
I much prefer this sort of rise where we have periods of cooling off and establishing new support levels. It makes the whole market more resilient.

BTC seems to have found good support around $9,500. I think we will move up from here, and I hope it is sustainable movement rather than parabolic, as that is never sustainable. My EOY target holds around $ 35,000 for BTC.

if the btc price drops maybe now the altcoin price will also experience a big drop. now we see if the effect of btc on altcoin and the crypto market is very large, it will be easy to shake crypto by simply dropping the price of btc

If btc drops me and tons of others will buy a shitload sending the price miles higher again. Easy as that.
That is what a good trader does, they see a price drop, buy and then sell it when it is high, which is usually the way most whales do accumulate their coins, that is why I believe that bitcoin will never zero as against what some people are saying or as against someone fact based on shalecoin that bitcoin may go as low as $100 which I don’t believe that can ever happen, like you said, as bitcoin drops, there are thousands of people waiting to buy that price.

It is only altcoins that drops in value and people get discourage or panic sell that must, because they feel the price may never recover again, but when it comes to bitcoin, every of its drop is a disguise in blessing, just like I sold some of my coins now, I am waiting for price to still dump before I buy again.

BTC is a coin that can control the entire market and this is the only coin with the most stable growth during the last 7 months but this does not help altcoin increase this year because most of it Altcoin is still in a correction phase. I believe this year will still be a bad year for all investors so consider safe options because we can't be sure what will happen next.

I think the price of bitcoin will still have the potential to reduce prices but the price of bitcoin will not go down at a very cheap price, because now there is a very good moment to make the price of bitcoin expensive.
precisely now what we see is a moment of improvement that occurs in bitcoin and some other altcoin assets.
bitcoin decline will definitely happen, and we've seen it happen several times this year. a severe decline occurred 2018 and that is a poor crypto market condition. I don't expect that to happen again, but if it happens I already know what I have to do.

History usually repeats itself as the crypto market is considered and this the part why I love technical analysis. Speaking of 2018 market, if you ask all experienced crypto traders/investors they will tell you that such occasion ought to be expected and will also occur after the next year market cause this how the crypto market works i.e Bitcoin halving (all the market will reach a new ATH), then market correction and after correction the market gain it strength back while experience slightly increase in price with dump sometime.

Btc keeps being the deciding factor in the market, more drop from btc at the moment will result to capitulation of most altcoin, especially those not paired to fiat in big volume exchanges.

Like you stated, there will always be decline in the value of bitcoin, and this decline state is when many people do make more profit, what most traders usually look at for when it comes to the best time to buy bitcoin is when it is in correction phase, during the time bitcoin declines, many trader accumulate as much as they can according to their capacity and then wait for the price to surge again for them to make profit.

For the biggest decline, I think that would always occur to, just that it usually a season thing, I mean when bitcoin reaches its all-time high, people would definitely start dumping their coin, and this event is what pushes the market to enter the bear market state where we will have to all start all over again like it happened in that 2018, I still expect that to happen after the bull run.

It's a normal phenomenon. For BTC to drop to this, a lot of money must have equally be withdrawn from the market, meaning altcoins will suffer too. We may eventually see a return of a coordinated pump and dump altcoin just to qucickly take profit and punish late comers. This whole market revolves round the bitcoin. A mate said I am okay with BTC aand ETH. Lols

Why does it have to rely with the bitcoin price?
I mean, they have their own market right? The management of the coin should be the one in charge on how the price of that certain altcoin will go up.
One good way is advertising it.
Bitcoin doesnt need it because it is popular by now. But alts wont have any buyers if not showcased to the public.
There is already USDT now where bitcoin can be traded to unlike before.

Better contact the management of the coin you are holding if they have any steps on what will happen to their market.

It seems like some kind of black PR. A million BTC are great opportunities for market management. It is impossible to sell part of this even for taxes, as market liquidity does not allow this. To sell at maximum profit, he will have to create a long downtrend. But he will not be able to kill the whole market and all altcoins.

Well, you have a point that if the Btc drops, the alts also will drop because we can see it the chart of cryptocurrencies. But it doesn't mean all the alts will drop if so. The reason why some alts drops when btc drops is when the rich people who holds a lot of btc and alts sold them, that is only my opinion, because it compose by a marketcap which is involved money.

Do you really think that people have $10'000'000'000 to buy his 1 million Bitcoin if Bitcoin is at $10000? Do you think Jeff Bezos will do it? It can only fall a lot. Maybe to $100 and maybe there will be a permanent wall of Bitcoin after that. And who is gonna mine Bitcoin after if it crash to less than $1000? But yes, he can also try to sell little by little without making the market dump. But in this article, he wants to take revenge. It is going to be interesting to see if he is the real Satochi. But it can also just be a bluff to make Bitcoin fall lower. It is like playing at a casino. 50 percent chance to win.

I don’t think so. Suppose he has the opportunity to sell everything on average for 2-3K$. Will he drop the price to $100 for some principles? Hardly. In any case, if it is not a bluff, it will be interesting and sickly for many.

Some people do trading Btc and alt. the other half is Btc with $, or alt with $. so BTc is also used as a benchmark price. when BTC weakens, change your alt with BTC, to get more BTC. therefore, alt prices will also go down because some people turn to BTC

They will also drop, this has been the scene ever since the start of the cryptocurrency market, no coins move up on its own they always follow the market leader which is Bitcoin, there's an occasion where one coin is showing resistance to the market by having its own bull run, even when the market is down, one example is Binance coin.

if the price of bitcoin drops into that range, I think the price of altcoin will also decrease. That is a common thing, because the price of altcoin is also sometimes measured based on the price of bitcoin, and also follows the development trend of bitcoin prices. so it's quite natural when bitcoin prices go down, then altcoin also goes down. however, altcoin which has a pretty good development will certainly survive, or even the price will rise.

The bridge between altcoin and bitcoin is always too tight, so as soon as bitcoin goes down, it is also the time when altcoin comes down, only a few altcoin are pumped by whales that will be able to counter this trend, but most of the time people probably don't like bitcoin with a decline, it just needs a slight adjustment and maintains a low level of oscillation, that is the best condition for altcoin to recover. The sharp decline or increase in price of bitcoin is always the enemy of altcoin, altcoin and investors are very scared before these fluctuations

Bitcoin has dominated the whole of crypto but it's much stronger compared with bitcoin in 2017. this time it looks like the altcoin still not get any hype even when the bitcoin price has been growing at the top price again.
Altcoin needs something more than FOMO but that needs a lot of development result to change the trend and altcoin will follow bitcoin movements anytime.

true bitcoin is dominant in all cryptocurrency but you have to know that the price of bitcoin still has the potential to fall, so the price of bitcoin can go down at any time because of the movement of bitcoin prices depends on demand in the exchange so you must remain vigilant when trading on bitcoin.

Only Bitcoin is growing steadily during this time period and the demand for Bitcoin is increasing, making all altcoin unable to recover well during this period. I think the market this year will be very bad and any investment will be very risky if you are not careful. and the demand for Bitcoin is increasing, making all altcoin unable to recover well during this period.
i dont think the demand is increasing because if it is , then btc should have already surpass his previous ath  . what actually happen is existing investors only re invest . the same people are still buying btc  . but the increase in the price of btc dont mean to stop the recovery of alts but infact alts should also follow it on the first place but it didnt happen unfortunately .

I think the market this year will be very bad and any investment will be very risky if you are not careful.

Bitcoin growing slowly in this year than the last year, that is a good sign for us to buy more bitcoin because, in this year or the next year, bitcoin price can be at the highest price. If we compare with the last year, the market has grown very good, at least we can make a profit again than the last year, and I am sure that soon, we will be able to make a big profit like before. But we still need to be patient for a while until the bear market is leaving the market, so every price of the altcoin can increase higher.

Another dumped cycles can happen but sooner or later it will bounced back, investors should realized things while crypto still young and the market adoptions is not that huge, the price might fall over  and over brining more weak holders to sell out and domino reaction will take place, make sure to pick the right side and not to lose your invested money with certain mistake that you'll going to side your position.

I am one hundred percent sure if Bitcoin will fall, altcoins will also fall. Now altcoins do not look good and if they fall even more it will be very bad for people who believe in altcoins.
What is left for altcoins to drop again, the reason why I usually argue with people that if bitcoin drops, altcoins will not drop again because now that bitcoin is dominating the market, most altcoins are bleeding so bad that if your see their value, you could even confuse it for zero, so if they are almost zero, and they are not increasing, where will bitcoin see the value to drop again when it is dropping.

I think most altcoins that we have now aside the top 100 altcoins are almost zero now and the only thing they are waiting for is for them to start their bull run, which their bull run usually affect bitcoin took a little since many investors tend to sell part of their bitcoin to put into the altcoins market. I think it is always vice versa, altcoins moons, bitcoin drops while bitcoin moons altcoins drops.

Just picture in your mind the flooding in the noah's ark story but replace the water with blood. That's what is going to happen and the holders of altcoin are the people in the ark experiencing the big flood of blood. if it happens like that then altcoin will make all time low. bitcoin is the king of crypto so altcoin also follows the movements of bitcoin. bitcoin up altcoin cras, bitcoin down altcoin crash. altsesoan is when bitcoin prices are stable

You do not have to be a fortune-teller to say that if BTC falls, altcoins will lose. Their prices will go down as they always follow their father. The world is looking at BTC, and if something is wrong to the king, its surrounding is affected negatively. Nevertheless, not all coins depend on Bitcoin. BNB price depends on other reasons and on the exchange activity also.

I don't think this time it will work like this. Because people did exchange their altcoins for Bitcoin which has near 70 percent of dominance. The dominance is going to return back to where it was. 50 percent or 35 percent when Bitcoin was worth near $3000. Bitcoin has been pumped to his max price for me. But maybe in term of USD, altcoins won't get much more value, but in term of satochi they will.

Look at what is happening now for altcoins vs Bitcoin. I was right that altcoins holders have pumped bitcoin to its maximum price. 70 percent dominance was its maximum. Now a big correction is happening. I don't know if the price of altcoins vs usdt is going to stay the same or increase. But altcoins are surely going to increase in value against BTC.

I doubt it, most altcoins are not showing any form of independence against bitcoin, when bitcoin goes up alts follow but are unable to outperform bitcoin and when bitcoin goes down most alts go down even faster, and while this is puzzling to some it is completely natural if you think about it, most investors have lost money with alts and icos so when bitcoin went up in price people began to sell altcoins to buy bitcoin because of the FOMO, however if you are thinking long term this can be the perfect opportunity to buy some alts like ETH at a very affordable price.

Most surge we see are almost with the help of FOMO also no matter how little the FOMO is, and we will always need a major fundamentals for FOMO to join such purchase to push the value to a bigger amount, so I hope that we will get news like popular people, companies that we know are adopting crypto, so that bitcoin and altcoins can really continue with its uptrend because it is also possible that there is a static growth if there is no much demand for the crypto.

if btc drops to 7-8k range what happens to alts?

They followed unintendedly because of the demand and supply, they may pump or dump even the price of bitcoin will touched down ro 3k again. Hence, I won't deny the fact that whenever bitcoin is at dip, most of the altcoins are also in reds. And the moment bitcoin rises, majority of the coins are also at green market.  Not all the scenario is always like that. Even btc rises, some altcoins are hard to recover and increase.
It would really be hard for the price of bitcoin to ever touch down to $3k again irrespective of whatever bad condition the market may be, you take a look at it deeply, what exactly do you think will cause bitcoin to decline that much again, is it that people would panic sell their investment for no reason, because the only reason that I feel bitcoin could even decline rapidly is when the All-time high is attained and market tending to move towards bear, people would want to be taking their investment out for profit.

I only believe that for now, we will be having corrections pending when bitcoin has more bulls that will invest heavily to create demand that will force it into bull run and no matter the correction, the highest low we can see is $6500.

Don’t you find if great if alts go down with Bitcoin?dont you see this as opportunity to buy more?in this bull market lowering price is a chance not a disgrace or something that we need to be bother.

Actually to be honest?(without others hating me)but I want or i am looking for another bearish market because I felt like what I bought before wasn’t enough to be consider as investing.and if given a chance this year my 2 months salary will surely fall for 3 sets of altcoins

While some may not like what you want if you take that time to read some of the posts of the eldest members at the forum you will realize they are surprised as well that bitcoin recovered so quickly and they did not had the opportunity to accumulate as much bitcoin as they wanted, so they are also expecting for a correction to take place so in the future when bitcoin really skyrockets they will be holding even more bitcoin than what they are holding right now.

You might forget that Bitcoin is the parent of all altcoins, so it's certain if the price of altcoin always follows the price of bitcoin.  And things like that will continue to happen, so you should not be too panicked by the decline in bitcoin prices at 7-8k, because now the price of bitcoin on the market continues to improve.

Alts drop as well, and likely harder than BTC does. That's the general behaviour we've seen during the long bear market, and will likely happen again if BTC drops.
BTC has proven a lot more resilient than alts over the last couple of years.

I do not think that we would go so deep again, because the party is just about to start. In October-November, crypto prices should explode, because of a bunch of positive news that would happen like Libra and Bakkt launch.
but I see the market is still very low and not stable at all for altcoin, and I see growth is very slow, I hear news that Bakkt will start trading bitcoin in September and this will be able to boost the price of bitcoin for next month and can give rise to altcoin which long time no ride at a good price.

what might happen might be the hope that we focus on alts really is not optimal, we hope that something happens, just because there are parties who are trying to improve performance in the future, do not let it happen again with the results that did not exist at all these past few weeks.

I think we need much more development than these two news you mentioned and I really don't see how they can affect bitcoin price for now. Facebook is a selfish coin that would never get the chance to be released, so don’t get your hopes on too high on them, government is already working so hard against the said coin, while the bakkt, I only see it having little effect on the market because not much people would be interest in the product they are releasing.

There are some bigger pictures that I am seeing anyway, but I dint think that they will be reflecting until next year, by 2020 is when I see bitcoin really blowing the mind of people with the surge it would experience after the halving of the coin, and coupled with the mass adoption we will get then.

Judging the current market situation, I can say that all altcoins will follow suit if btc drops in price. Traders and investors start selling off their altcoins once btc falls making the market of altcoins more vulnerable. It is because BTC has more dominance of the crypto market.

That is very true. market demand is still very low, with trade not increasing this will be bad if there is a decline in the price of bitcoin. all coins may experience a large decrease, and it will be very difficult to grow them again. because actually there are still many altcoins that haven't risen from the decline that occurred since 2018.

The truth of the matter is: When Bitcoin pumps hard or crashes harder, all altcoins suffer. The best time for altcoin markets to grow is a stable priced Bitcoin.

Why? A hard pump will lure traders to trade Bitcoin because it is most liquid and you can easily enter the market even with 100BTC up. A BTC crash could mean money is flowing out of crypto entirely which means money out of alts.

When the price of bitcoin goes up, altcoins still suffer, so it's clear when btc drops, of course altcoins will suffer more. But even so altcoins will still recover when the season has arrived because it is not always the bear market continues, there are still times that will make the market bullish because of a positive trend that will occur.

It has happened in the opposite direction before though, especially in 2017 I remember several times when BTC dropped in price and altcoins just loved it. This also affected dominance (by market cap),,, and at one point people talked about stuff like Flippening.

Will this scenario happen again? I do not think so, but I never say never;)

Well yes altcoins will follow bitcoin once it drops but not to the point it will also recover if btc bounce back.

As we can see the progress of btc from early of this year are quite good but alts remain at the bottom especially those altcoins that are not popular.

Nowadays a lot of altcoins or maybe we can called tokens not really good in market. Maybe because there are much kind of it and investors which start to be on bad phase. A lot of project fail make investor lose their money and we know if this thing keep happened, there are no investors left and tokens will not worth anymore. But maybe in other side, trader of altcoin, especially old altcoins can fill market with high volume trading like in past.

You wish, if you see people moving money out of bitcoin, it is because they are moving it out to bitcoin to convert to fiat for them to spend, so I don’t know what gave you the impression that they are moving it into altcoins.

They all have their different use case and most people you see today already have enough investment in altcoins and bitcoin, if bitcoin is removed, it is because their investment in it has already grown, and they would wait for altcoin too to grow rather than putting money back into it, and the only thing that can make altcoin to grow is its use case, then they can have people that will consider putting money into their market. If bitcoin drops, people would only buy more of it for its cheaper price.

such questions needs not to be asked again,  if only you are new to the crypto world that you might not know,  it's so obvious that whenever bitcoin dumps altcoins will follow suite in dumping too,

Likewise when bitcoin pump altcoins will definitely dump,  it's just when it's stabilized before altcoins can pump

quite right, this pattern occurs again and again, it was possible in principle to get used to it, and even if you are a beginner then notice it yourself. This is an established market template. If Bitcoin now drops to 7-8k it's not so scary. Now, if it falls to 2k, then we will see such a big ass that the light will not be visible.

may have to set aside several types of coins so that when experiencing an increase can be covered and still get a profit. so I think maybe now it should be smarter and selective about a coin owned.

when you see bitcoin go down can you see altcoin go up? I'm sure that will also pull Altcoin down. if this decline continues it will be bad in the situation of altcoin and trading. some investors will wait for the best situation to buy, but it will move very slowly. we experience it 2018 even now.

Currently BTC is up to 10k threshold, altcoin has paid on BTC is decreasing very strong. If BTC continues to dump so hard, altcoin will be even more catastrophic
Today, bitcoin has fallen in price to $ 8,649 and ethereum has also fallen after it to $ 172. Before that, ethereum was growing well in price, despite the fact that Bitcoin stood still. It seemed that this coin was getting out of the price dominance of bitcoin. However, bitcoin collapsed today and ethereum followed. It's sad of course. I would like to see this coin free from the price dominance of bitcoin. I hope this fall will not be too long, the fourth quarter is usually accompanied by the growth of our cryptocurrency.

More precisely, bitcoin is the heart that is connected to altcoin, when this heart has a problem, the activities inside will have chaos and change in a bad trend, signaling bad health, and very clearly, as you said, bitcoin in recent days has proven its position, declining and the market has been forced to decline. And one thing I need to fix is that not only does altcoin plummet at usdt, it plummets at bitcoin, although the past few hours have been an altcoin green, unfortunately, this improvement seems to be about to turn off

If the price drops we can hold the bitcoin and we can see the profit after sometime when the market boom back, but we need to look about the problems in altcoins market also.
These altcoins bumping very little at the big hype for bitcoin and at the same time when there is fall means all the altcoins fall together. So we think it deeply holding altcoins at the dump is really stupid idea, I suggest them to trade over the exchanges.

According to my own experience if btc drops, the same happens to most of alts, only a few are not affected, the best time to trade alts is when btc is stabilized, also traders buy stable coins when btc drops. Currently it exists a project called mintMe where traders and investors can deal with entrepenuers by buying custom tokens that belongs to a particular project, this tokens can be created at the same mintMe platform.

That's because of money coming into the market. In order to buy alts, you pretty much need Bitcoin. Sure, there's exchanges with USD listings, but you're still going to trade for Bitcoin then trade the Bitcoin to get the alts. This is why when you see the Bitcoin market cap up higher, all the alts also seem to be going up in price as well.

The domino effects mostly being seen when bull rallied and pumped hard the market, bitcoin value lift up those quality alts and bring them to a good momentum. Same deal when bitcoin suffered, most investors are afraid to divert instead of buying alts, converting to stable coin is one of the option,
till the value bring good sign again it will move the market back, entire cycle will follow.

alts will certainly decrease by bitcoin and even more than bitcoin.  This is a pretty bad situation for alts and the crypto market.  We really need a force of new investors to pour money into the market and save holders.  If this situation continues until the end of the year, I fear that many investors will be discouraged and leave the market, then the bear market will actually take place in the long term.

From my observations, altcoins are no longer affected by movements of bitcoin as before. So whatever happens I don't think btc dominance will exceed 73%. As you can see, bitcoin has reached the specified range and there is not much blood loss in the altcoins. I think that you don't need to be afraid of bitcoin movements as before.

The bear market will directly affect investor confidence in this market and this is something that everyone does not want because most of the coins available in this market experience a huge decline in the past few weeks. I think that if BTC cannot rise well in October, it will be very difficult for us to gain people confidence and that will make the bear market last longer. Hopefully by the end of this year things will be different and we will soon see BTC return to $10,000 again.

Quite some space to breath out from that bleeding market, it will be great to see more green to  bring back investors interest  bringing new investment inside the market. Though it's still a long way and there's a lot of market sways to expect best to learn from everything and grab your opportunities to earn decent in anyhow whatever market behaves.
Continue being optimistic and add more investment when you see the market are bleeding, bounce like this if being anticipated adds profitable results.

Over the past 2-3 weeks, the price of altcoins has not fallen so much and I'm sure that we are now seeing the lowest prices this year. I choose Altcoins that are not in the TOP-20.

There is no alternative for alt coins if BTC drop around 7K. We will see just blood everywhere  ☹
By the way last 2 months we used to see red market both when BTC is up or down. Even when BTC is stable may days market was red. As seen from coin market cap, there is no new investment at crypto we can say.

When there is no volume at overall coin market cap, price drops at BTC affect the alt coins more and more.
We need a strong BTC with “high total volume” at coin market cap. Than price drops of BTC can be compensated by other factors and alt coins can recover quicker.
