PART 2
Austrian postage are famous for their innovations. It seems that this time they have launched something pretty interesting that can receive a lot of attention also from "the masses" and not only from collectors.
Plus they have achieved the interest of an entire Blockchain communities, since the buzz-word on these last days around these stamps is already enormous.
I decided to create this guide / catalog in order to have a common basis for discussion, evaluation and classification of this specific stamp.
Please see PART 5 for "definitions" and PART 7 with some useful links for any biggest update.

PART 3
There are 5 tokens available (apparently you can discriminate ONLY with an online system, otherwise you should download an entire list). but... if you look better... Each stamps is DIFFERENT from another one.
They have emitted 150.000 singular stamps!  You can't assume that for all tokens there is the same “interest”... but each stamp is interesting is a sort of variety with a series of unique data! (code [1]) [6]
Here I create a list of all combinations possible, with a minimum of interest for a COLLECTOR.
Please note, there is not any value, but a simple grade of scarcity (I will keep update).

How the onchain shop (500 limited edition stamps) differentiates from the rest 149500 stamps? The physical stamp that you receive from the onchain shop (after filling the form with shipping address details) is the same as the rest of the physical stamps? Since you receive the digital token at the time of purchase, how the physical token looks like? (ie the right silver scratching area with the digital token is missing?)

For what I know the only difference is related the way you can buy the item and not the stamp itself.
But lets see if Austrian postage will provide a special cover/physical support to stamps redeemed.

Update
https://i.ibb.co/MG6C0sy/Schermata-2020-02-20-alle-12-32-34.png (https://imgbb.com/)

I have found this interesting table related the frequency of x-digits inside each token.
So even a black token (4 digits) can be an interesting stamp to collect, but I will not give so many importance or any surplus (just a curiosity).

Part 4 (new items)
Some more of Crypto stamp related items that I recently acquired:

Point of sale display stand: Those where the stands where the "crypto stamps" were hanging at the different shops. Very few of those still exist, since the majority were thrown away/destroyed

Extra items (private overprints, philatelic postage)
The envelope on top was dispatched at Christmas eve, to the Austrian village "Christkindl", where it received the second round stamp, and then shipped to me. The bottom, was dispatched at new years eve. In both cases, the crypto stamps were actually used to cover my international shipping fees.

https://i.imgur.com/zioAVls.jpg

Those envelopes are from the "crypto stamps" meetups that being organized in various cities of Austria.

Only 100 of those stamps were made for every meetup (except for the first meetup where only 60 were made). 8 envelopes with Crypto Stamps and 8 envelopes with the meetup stamps for each meetup ever produced. Those were mailed at the day & place that the meetup took place (and hence the matching date round stamp). Bellow is the envelopes from the 3rd & 4th meetup. Also a sample photo of the 4 stamps (sample photo not mine).

wow is an excellent news, unfortunately I did not buy the crypto stamps of the first series and then I regretted it, but I certainly will not miss the launch of this second series, I want to buy as much as possible to collect them, I will definitely be one of the buyers on day one...

the crypto stamps the old ones of the first series can be bought through the opensea dapps so we can realize how much their value has grown over time in my opinion also the second series will be a more than safe investment...

Is it possible to translate their entire website?

I’m afraid the time will expire and during checkout, I will be trying to guess if they’re asking for my phone number or my credit card number.

Yeah, I got through it last year with not many issues. I don't think they like sold out in a day either, it took at least a few if memory serves....

I can’t say for the actual ordering page, but when it comes to the countdown page (even the scrolling text) Chrome translates it near perfectly!

You are right, it was pretty straight forward. I am actually more worried about the shipping delays happening due to COVID?

Yeah owl I think you are right it was like 7-10 before the complete sell out.  There were some days I took to research and ended up still getting some through the website days later.  Wonder how it goes this time around with locals probably knowing how much sets went for.  My fear really is that less rare ones will get into the wild fairly and not be pulled by employees

Is there any technical difference between the "on-chain" stamps versus the ones on the cards?
Or any way to distinguish this?
This was the best explanation I had received about this from member GoWest when I was looking into buying some.

"Most Cryptostamps were sold as physical stamps (149,500 of them) and could only be transferred online if the private key was revealed on the physical stamp.

The OCS stamps were sold as purely digital stamps through the Online Chain Store (hence OCS) on the Austria Post website, and there were only 500 of them, though they do not have a distinct appearance. The owner then had the option of requesting the physical stamp AFTER the purchase was made (so, the opposite of the physical stamp). When the OCS stamps are first bought, they had the property of "Sold." When the physical stamp was requested, the property changed to "ShippingSubmitted," then "ShippingConfirmed."

So the rarest of the CryptoStamps are the OCS (500 of the 150,000), and there are only 3 of those 500 that are red.
"

...they do not have a distinct appearance...

According their website this was another way to sell stamps  8)

If you take on your hand a stamp purchased on-chain vs a stamp purchased on shop there are not differences.
So these are exactly the same.
From a collector prospective (classic stamp collection) there is NO rarity (in fact I haven't added to my catalogue/classification).

Technically a digital one is not "a stamp" since unless you receive at your address it can't be used for... postage! ;)

I agree with what the others said. Another characteristic that makes them unique IMO is the following:

When I bought the on-chain stamp, I requested for delivery of the physical stamp. When I received the physical stamp and compared it to other off-chain physical stamps, it was exactly the same.

However, the uniqueness here, is that I had a physical stamp, unscratched (in mint condition) were at the same time, the digital stamp token (corresponding to that physical stamp) was already in my ETH addy. When you purchase from the on-chain store, you receive the digital stamp to your ETH addy.

This is pretty unique (and not quite sure if it is a correct implementation/designing way), since I have in my possession an unscratched/unredeemed physical stamp, with an already redeemed digital token.

To be honest, I was expecting to receive a scratched physical stamp.  I have 2 of those physical on-chain unscathed stamps, hence this shouldn't be coincident.

Edit: So to answer the question "any way to distinguish this": If you have a physical stamp, by checking the 6 digit code, you can easily distinguish if it is an on-chain or off-chain stamp. (at the on-chain stamp you will see the tx that the digital stamp was "moved")
