2017: Nicolas Choukroun (a developer) proposed to Jean Martial Lefranc (an investor) the project to reincarnate the French Franc currency as a crypto.

8 November 2018: Jean Martial Lefranc redesign the project to change its name to Kryptofranc and add the voting platform for the NGO as the main utility of the blockchain.

25 February 2021: the FRANC smart Contract is created on the TRX blockchain. TRX is chosen due to the high fees on the Ethereum blockchain.

What was the Kryptofranc exactly?

Main Characteristics:

- Kryptofranc is a true original blockchain, with its own certificates, genesis and features.

Picture says that half, not 1/4 is premined, and message conflicts with it. You need to make it consistent across different sources.

We pre-mined 2 Billions for the ONG

In 1 year it is 50% of the mined coins (about 4 Billions total). The circulating supply will be less than that because not all the coins will be available for trading.
In 4 years it is 1/3 of the mined coins (about 6 Billions)
In 100 years is it 1/4 of the mined coins (about 8 Billions)
The max is around 10 Billions but no one here will be alive to verify it, it is far far away in time  :o

We are working on the donation voting system that will be available on our website by the end of the next week.
This coin will start to get some real traction when we will start donating and get some press from that, as well as the NGO will be sending their customers to vote to win the donations, and email them. There are pre-conditions to get the donations, advertising us is one of them.

About being listed, I would like to be listed in my favorite exchange (I will not tell the name here, people are reading ;D ) but we are not sure if it is necessary at this early stage. I have sent 2 requests to be included. Let see when they will answer.

Try HitBTC, I have an account there. They are pretty cool and the technology is good. There is a French chat too, some French investors.

They have very high commissions for the conclusion that it is not good. But they have enough liquidity that even considering all the disadvantages is a huge plus. I will continue to monitor this project.

We are now doing a crowdfunding campaign for Ecran Fantastique, and he just finished a 10 episodes series about the Vintage area of the Video Games. He is quite busy, but funding the projet is not a problem with private investors, that's why we are building it step by step.

About KYF we have finished the voting plateform, I am doing the merging with Bitcoin 0.19.0.1 so that KYF will have the latest upgrades, the voting platform it is in beta but we will run a campaign that will target January 2020, we will have some press releases. Nope it is not ASIC resistant. We control the pool and thus we also control what mining software can be used. So far we only authorize our version of CPUMiner. But we will release a version of GPUMiner soon and Asic will be welcome after.
We are gradually opening the coin. This way we will give a chance to more miners to get some KYF.

Sure, CPU mining is for the beginning, it is an opportunity not to be missed. When we will be in a big exchange and have Asic allowed, CPU will not get too many rewards.
But we will not block any body. Our pool is resetting every 10 min to re-include the small miners which would be otherwise kept outside because of having an hashrate too low.

  ASIC resistant at this moment because dev controls the whole project and only one pool works. The idea is to eliminate the possibility of 51% attack until the KYF community does not grow enough for proper decentralization. Then there will be GPU, then asic and only other pools.

To clarify about Asic resistance.

KYF is using POW as the mining algorithm, it is SHA256 so on the paper it is not ASIC resistant. In the future all hardware will be able to mine.
However, instead of delivering the coin wild and authorize mining without any control, and also to avoid all the roadblocks and threads of launching a coin in 2019 as we did; we decided to control the mining pool.
Bitcoin has changed, and we can only mine with stratum. It makes it a lot more complicated to mine than it was when Bitcoin was launched.

By controlling the pool we also control what software can mine. As for now we only let our version of CPUMiner to mine. So today KYF is ASIC and GPU resistant but not by design, because of our limitation.

We have nothing against the big mining pool, and we understand the need for them to diversify their activities. We will need them in the future when the KYF will be more popular.
But having them mining now would penalize the amateur miners, and we want them to join our community.

So in order to have has many people mining KYF we are progressively introducing the way to mine it... but it is not a design limitation.
I hope that it is more clear now.

Crex24 agrees, but only as an additional exchange. Major exchanges only from your list.

Crex actually is a good exchange to start with if you can't afford those bigger exchanges for the time being. Build volume first and once you are capable to be listed in bigger and reputable one, it would be easier for you to get traders.

The thing is that each has its own constrains in term of traffic and prices. Some are very very expensive and out of our reach. It seems that the crypto is becoming more and more the opposite of what Natoshi Sakamoto wanted.

Unfortunately I think it is now quasi impossible to mine with CPU or GPU. We had about 150 miners on our Pool for 1 year privately mining but this time is over since we have opened the mining to anyone. We have several pools mining right now but they are running based on purchased hashing power. it is probably the best option.

The circulating supply is 664 millions. That is how much is actually for trade
6 billions is close to the max supply and it is never stopping.  Check the website. There is a simulation, the math make it tend to 7 Millions but it will not happen before a million year so it is practically infinite.
3 billions total have been already mined and are reserved for donation, they are not trading.

We cannot share any information about the new exchange for 2 reasons.
1- we signed an NDA that specify that nothing can be exposed to the public until it is final.
2- there are some problemes with the law in France and in the state were the new exchange is located that needs to be evaluated, so there is a small but real possibility that listing at this exchange could fail because of a legal issue.

We have 2 more mining rig mining KYF, things are moving in the right direction, mining is profitable, we are in the CREX24 faucet since the beginning showing that we are one of the most profitable coin at this exchange. Our volume is small, but that's when it is time to buy right  ;D

It looks like this project has continued to develop over time until now but it's not wrong to have a look or visit their group to find out more.

We are constantly working on improvements. We do not advertise everything. Staking is on our list, we will talk about it soon. we also are working on market making... which is working somehow right now, you can see the bot. We are waiting to have 3 tools: market making, Staking and ??? (secret right now)
These would make keeping the coin more valuable than selling it automatically for the miners.
The main problem right now is that many miners are using our SHA256 to mine with Zplan for example which is selling automatically to Bitcoin. KYF is profitable for mining, which explains why we have a very high hash rate. This is driving the price lower, so we are kind of pedaling against the current.

KYF withdrawals have been re-enabled. If you do not want to swap your KYF coins, please withdraw them before March 26, 2021. Otherwise these coins will be swapped.

Mining KYF is an issue since a miner got berserk yesterday mining at close to 1Ph/s ! I have contacted Jean Martial Lefranc about this problem, since he is the one in charge of KYF right now, but his GMail is blocking me.
Kriss and I are mining to get some blocks. The blockchain is locked at 93 Millions Diff which cost 10 Eur / hour to mine.
I post here for legal reason, since the same Jean Martial Lefranc is now threatening me to sue me, because I will  burn the 2 Billions KYF he stole from the ONG project.

The Swap between Kryptofranc (KYF) and Franc (FRANC) will happen the 27th of March.

Every holders of Kryptofranc will receive the same amount of Franc corresponding to their balances in Kryptofranc.
The balances will be calculated the 26th March so everyone must do their transactions before this date.
The KYF in CREX24 will be swapped automatically, KYF will be delisted and FRANC will replace it.
The KYF in wallets will be manually processed by me. Here is how it will go.

- Install a Tron (TRX) wallet, like Tronlink on your Desktop or your phone.
- If possible fund your TRX wallet with 0.1 TRX to activate it. If you cannot I will send you 0.1 TRX to activate your address.
- Get your address from the receive screen.
- Do a screenshot of your KYF wallet to justify the number of KYF you are holding on that wallet. Send me this screenshot using Discord https://discord.gg/7qscn6S or another platform like Telegram https://t.me/franccrypto
- You will receive the same amount of FRANC.

Please note, that I will refer to the balance from the 26th March to verify. Do not transfer any KYF past this date.
Also all the premine from the Kryptofranc (total 3 Billions of KYF) will be burned. This does not concern the investors, these were pre-mined to be delivered through the NGO platform.
The Kryptofranc blockchain will continue to work, if someone is mining it. I will continue to support it technically, but I am no more in charge of this projets. Jean Martial Lefranc is now managing the Kryptofranc and any future development is in his hand.

FRANC is the rebirth of the money FRANC it is also the crypto currency that is running the project W.O.K, a virtual world powered by FRANC.

I just talk with CREX24, the swap will start tomorrow. But they are warning us that it will not be done in 5 minutes.
