If this update comes earlier it could be extremely suitable for Ethereum. It would gain a competitive advantage.
I am afraid if early 2020 is not too late for this update, everyday are altcoins better and better.

I suppose I should just lurk around the "Altcoins Sub-Forum" before Posting a Thread of any kind to see what I may or may not learn from the Threads being made in here. Any of the Posts people are making are probably going to greatly helpful as the Replies to the questions despite not being of any help to Me it might be in the future more knowledge is always a good thing lol, am I right or what.

I am only afraid if PoS consensus will work on the biggest alternative blockchain. We still do not know much about PoS security and implement it on such big network would be hard with many possible scenarios.

I think Eth will get a bump from this. It’s price is currently swinging in 300 range, it will definitely improve upon the arrival of Eth 2.0. Maybe by the end of 2019 or start and the first quarter of 2020, the price will increase. It’s good to buy some Eth now for it to be in your favour. I myself will stalk some in my wallet so that I can benefit from the price increase.

For me it is better to buy now and hold while waiting for that exciting development. I think this 2.0 goal is to make the Ethereum blockchain more faster and secure making the whole platform more improve than before but even if there is no development that will occur, still it is right to invest in Ethereum because the platform was already commonly used by most ICOs to support their projects.

Ethereum blockchain has been fastly enough, I think. Too fast transaction speed might create disadvantages when attacks or compromised occur on network, how to roll back in such cases? the last time hardfork ethereum did not bring any changes but with an upgrade 2.0 I hope the fee problem will be resolved because fees are now very strange and can be said to be very unstable sometimes cheap, sometimes the price is very expensive so I hope if the upgrade really happens will hopefully be stable and more affordable

Ethereum 2.0 has already been launch but there are so many speculation and i think this is true that 2.0 is not yet in the community.
we will have it on the last quarter of the year.
this is why we are not yet on the top though the changes has been felt a little like the speed and fee.

Proof of Stake will be the main change we will see in ETH, this will be crazy because miners will become holders, and all their mining equipment focused on ETH will have to focus on another coin. I'm not sure if ETC will adopt  POS too, but if they do not then for sure most of the miners will jump to that coin.

The start of Ethereum 2.0 is going to be witnessed in 2020, in winter. It is very difficult to say what will happen to the price of ETH token to this time. I don’t think that now it’s a good idea to invest in Ethereum, since everything is falling and Bitcoin cannot get a stable price, constant races up and down. There is no doubt that the price of ethereum will grow, but I think it is worth waiting to buy a coin at the level of 150-180 dollars.

Eth will definitely change for the better. Why? Not everyone with a good project can shift to a different protocol and they are beginning to do it soon. POS isnt perfect but will give more advantage to eth network capabilities.

Whatever will revive the ethereum network to function well is highly welcome. Ethereum is just too slow for my liking when trading on some decentralized exchange that makes use of the ethereum network, it can be very frustrating seeing pending transactions and delayed orders because of the slow ethereum network.

Ethereum team keeps proposing upgrade of their network, yet words are not been matched with action. I thought the switching from POW to Proof-Of-Stalk (POS) was going to take place earlier this year, I can't tell why this has not been implemented and right again talking of 2.0. For now, we don`t have many pieces of information about ETH 2.0. I relay on info from twitter, you can follow Vitalik and some other important figures from ETH community and from time to time they throw something about this upgrade. But we will not be sure about anything before some official announcement. What we can do is wait for that, and to try to put these pieces of information together and from that to make predictions, in meantime to accumulate ETH, if they become staking coin it will be a good thing to have a lot of ETH for that.

So what guarantee do you have that you will ever see such value again, I know they all depends on the increase of bitcoin temporary to grow pending the time their own bull run starts and they also fall along with bitcoin when it falls, but I doubt if bitcoin will fall that low for Ethereum to get such value.

The rise and fall of bitcoin is usually just the correction stage but I believe that bitcoin will be heading for $15k very soon, which means Ethereum too will shoot higher that the value you have seen for this year, and it will not also be long before Ethereum and other altcoins starts their own bull run when the altcoins  season starts, so delay is quite dangerous, where Ethereum will be in the bull run in unimaginable, so it is better to just buy now even if the price declines a little bit later.

I would love to see Ethereum takes off in ETH/ BTC pair because I can get double wins by increasing my balance in bitcoin and in fiats or USDT. I damn sure that Ethereum will - at least - move back to 0.05 BTC per ETH for sure.
