Surely. i entered the market at its peak.  :'( :'( :'( :'(. i doubt if i will survived this epic move of mine. btc was at 11,000K. i never checked TAs and just entered. i pray i recovered my money back. actually, it was FOMO. to be honest.

Don't stress yourself too much.Yeah,you had bought on the peak yet the price is dropping now but come to think that
you aren't selling it yet so it isn't still consider as a loss or being burnt.Just hold it up pal, yet we are just starting for a bull ride.

You are probably going to have some short term losses here, but if you hold for the long haul, you will come out ahead. My guess is that you will be back to your original value in a year and a half to two years.

I am sure you will win in long term and i hope we will see more than 11k soon so you can recover your loses, hope we will see new ATH this time and then stabilisation at that price then , many new users would join the market and will be fine.

Are you trading on leverage? If not, you're probably okay. It looks to me like the price is ranging before another wave up. I think we're headed for the $12K area. You never know though!

Keep calm and hodl! We are in a bull market now and this isn't going to end with bitcoin dumping back to 6000 or less. Worst case scenario we'll go back to 9000 zone and stay there for a while until bitcoin is ready to retest our 2019 ATH.

You're saying you got burnt but really you've only lost maybe 3% of your investment. It's not a lot and it's easy to make up for such a loss. You'd get burned if you bought a pumped shitcoin and be at -50% in a day.

Don't give up too early. You just bought today, so keep holding! Bitcoin pumping is not ended yet, it will go further after a little dump! The next call is 11800 to 1200 USD and it can happen in this month! So, keep holding and celebrate the bull run!

I always disagree about this kind of suggestion. I mean you have no proofs if bitcoin will hit more than 11k in this month, are you a proffessional trader? How accurate your prediction? What's your profit?
If your prediction is true and that guy followed your suggestion should be happy, but how if your suggestion is false? He lost more because of your suggestion, will you compensate his loss?

Agree, it’s not something you should panic about because we are having a bull trend now so you sure can still get you money back and when the bull run will happen then you can still get profits from it so just hold it a little longer and make sure to check the price from time to time. Its not the end yet and bitcoin will sure rise so don’t stress yourself too much.

when going into a hot market the fundamental thing is to keep at least ½ in cash.

Ie buy a coin for 11,000 means you have another 11,000 in cash reserve

this allows you to buy more if coins drop to 9500.

If you went all in at 11k and have no cash reserve you simply should not be buying or trading coins.  As your skill set is very low.

I am more conservative the 50-50 rule.

when I jump in and buy a coin I have 33-33-33   which allow me to buy on 2 separate drops.

say 9500
and 8000.

Always take note that if you are investing, be ready with the consequences that you may face when worst things happen. I expecting for Bitcoin to do a small correction within the next weeks after rising up. I think the best thing that you need to do right now is to just hold your coins and wait to get profit. Don't sell your coins at a loss.

That fear of missing out is something that we must be careful of. The best thing to do is to study and learn about the market as much as you can and make your decisions based on that knowledge. Not on emotions. Easier said than done though.

By the way, how long already you hold your coins, maybe need more time and if you really afraid about it, just wait and sell in price that you bought your coin. FOMO is naturally can happen to everyone, but after you jump on it, keep make yourself calm first because panic wouldn't help anything.

I think you don't have to have negative thinking because the price will reach the highest price. When you bought bitcoin at the highest price at the last year, you can wait for a while because now, the price has grown and reached a higher price. No need to feel to doubt with the bitcoin because bitcoin will show the power in the right time so right now, you only need to be patient and don't forget to place an order sell at the price you want.

The first rule is to never invest money you don't afford to lose. If you went by that rule, you'll be okay, just you need patience: in some days, weeks, months, Bitcoin should easily surpass 11k and you'll be on profit.

Of course, second rule is to decide by yourself and don't get investment advises from unknown people over internet, like myself  :D

No you're not, the price is still going strong at $10,800 so you're just still losing small amounts here. You don't need to pray though, divine intervention here has nothing to do with the price. What you should do is just wait for the next run, HODL your bitcoin and just be patience and be calm. Although this is hard lesson for you not to FOMO, but for sure you will learn a lot from it.

The title suggests that OP completely lost from margin trading. Anyway, do not despair because this is not the top of the market yet. Do not sell unless you badly need the money. best of luck in your future trades.

I hope OP doesn't sell his bitcoin if he cannot make a profit and still hold his bitcoin until the price increase. But if he cannot hold any longer, then he should receive losses from the selling which we are not recommended to sell now. But if his trading using margin trading, then I think he can close it right away and search for the chance to enter the trading and try to make a profit from the trend.

The margin trading is not recommended for the beginner because he needs to learn more about trading so he can know where the price and the trend movements so he can enter the market. It is better to use free money to trade, so he doesn't have to feel sad if somehow he gets losses from the trading.

You have to learned that entering hastily will not bring you any good. FOMO is something we should disregard if we are a serious traded but of course experience is our teacher here. There are two choices you have to choose, it's either,

• Set stop loss and exit at current price to save at leastn70-80% of the fund, or
• Hold it and wait for the market to recover until you get back your entry amount.

It's all depends on your decision. Remember that learning technical analysis is a big help for entering and exiting our entry.

What are you afraid of? Isn't this good news that bitcoin is bouncing back. Don't be left behind by a good moment. Bitcoin has successfully entered the market for $ 11,000.

you buy at the wrong time but that does not mean you are going to lose your investment fund but you have to be patient and wait for a little for that to happen. It is good we use technical indicators in finding if the coins are at the overbought or oversold areas before making an informed investment's decision.

FOMO is not always bad when you to start invest with such condition. I guess the investor bitcoin or a newcomers of bitcoin will not find a loss with one not he has a high patience. I mean when you buy at the high price such as at this time then its price goes down dramatically then you have to be a holder. I think there is a people who buy bitcoin at $20.000 and it's an ATH so far and the price went down last year but now they have a high confident to get money back even they have an opportunity to hold it back until its price goes up more then $20.000 because there are a lot of analysist which stated bitcoin price will find another an ATH last year. This is a benchmark for bitcoin holder lr bitcoin investor,  a high patient will play on this field and will determine getting losses and wealth.

You have purchased BTC at the premium price. But don't worry, there will always be a correction after a series of green candles appeared. that is the normal fluctuation. How do you know you entered at the wrong time? What if price had kept going up?  I think you are probably trading the wrong way. You need a good trading plan and stick to it.  You wouldn't be trading the wrong way If you have everything planned out

This thread creating before the disaster, them i was really remember went bitcoin at $3.000 and a lot of people FUD about bitcoin will enter $1.500 - $2.000 now they all missed the boat and entering the market with a FOMO price. TA wasn't really doest matter, from my experience FA more good than TA, because FA News will effect on the TA and TA will confirm the movement of the price.

How much money did you invested in bitcoins at 11K ? If you have the ability to hold, you will be in profit soon. This Bitcoin rally may go up to 13K or even 15K so you maybe lucky this time and may get opportunity to sell in profits in few days time.

Yep, if this is a margin trade that's not a particularly wise decision as FOMO usually leads to a bad entry and thus potential liquidation depending on the leverage used if there's no stoploss set for the trade. If this was a non-margined trade, sit back and wait. You're fine if the latter is the case, if it's the former then set an acceptable stoploss, preferably a market stop, and hope you don't get burned from this and learn for next time. You don't always have to be trading, if you are ever unsure then do something else.

What means you got burned? did you bought btc or just made margin trading? if you bought btc maybe it wasn't the smartest move but holding for longterm isn't a bad idea...
if you do margin trading without any strategy and experience.. please stop it. it makes no sense for you, its waste of money.

The parabolic advance is still ongoing. I could see this rally heading above $12K in the short term. Once we break above $11,200 another round of short squeezing and FOMO will begin. Congrats to everyone that managed to hold this long. It's easy to get shaken out in this roller coaster market.

Dont be sad. Im sure that the price would still going up because we are only halfway on the peak. The sad part is only yoy earn less than what those people who bought on the lowest value of Bitcoin. I do like this kind of mind you have @Wallflower28. Did you know we have people that bought Bitcoin around $17,000 in 2017 and are still holding till now? It really depends on how patients we are. If we are patients enough? I do believe that no matter the price we bought it can turn to profits for us in a later date. He his complaining about buying at a wrong time at $11,000 but as at this morning Bitcoin went as high as $11,400 and it is like three days after. If he will still holding he might sell above $20,000 before the end of this year and the only thing he needs is patient.

I assumed that the time you bought your btc you're planning to hold them for quite some time. So, your investment is still good as long btc is not dropping below $8,000. No need to worry because btc is expected to reach $20,000 this year. We're only approaching the third quarter of the year.

In the past Bitcoin has dropped to $3,000 and actually those who buy and hold this year are earning very high profits because it takes only 6 months for you to earn more than 400% in a very short time. Now Bitcoin has reached $13,000 and there is no price that can stop Bitcoin's growth so i believe continue to hold Bitcoin for this time because the price will still rise higher and this is only is the beginning of this market this year

See, who told you that you are going to be REKT, I'm sure that you have seen the price and it's way above $12,000 so now at least you can see that your portfolio is growing. You are in just in time and just continue to HODL on your Bitcoin, we are really in a bull run market, but it doesn't mean that we are going to see a parabolic rise though. You don't need to panic if you see the price having a correction, it's just part of the economics of bitcoin.

It is still not a mistake that he is buying at this price, because I am sure the market will cross over that value soon, but everyone needs to keep at the back of their mind that we are already approaching a stage where we need to be very careful not to allow FOMO to push us into mistake, this was the mistake some people made in the last ATH that made their money tied till now, and they had to wait for this next season for them to get their money out, it is still not too late at this $11k, but we should be very watchful and careful of the whales. OP didnt actually make a wrong move here. Seems like he got lucky and bitcoin is moving up even more. So if he sells he will be in a profit. I hope he does that and comes out because the market is currently having a roller coaster ride. When it is going to drop is unpredictable and he might beon the red if sold at that time - panic selling that is.

11k is not a good price I would buy bitcoin, which is why I tried to spread the word of buying bitcoin during the bear market in order to profit from this type of bullish runs. But even then there is nothing to be concerned of, I am sure OP will recover and trade again.

It is OP at wrong timing and get depressed when he saw sudden drop of bitcoin, it probably he is new into this investment and it is normal to be worried for its lose. You have just done the 'Buy high' strategy and I can't say that 'Buy high, Sell low' because you still holding your Bitcoin.

Putting your money in when the market is in an uptrend is quite dangerous because there is a high percentage that anytime a price correction would occur. If actually you experience any lose it is due to the short time period because with time you surely be in profit. Although for that to happen you really need to hold for a period of time to recover what you believe to have lost. Though it was not a list.

Panic will lead you into further loss so mind control and panic handling will really be crucial yet not all people would able to pass this test.
Most of them do still end up on panicking and selling off their coins to prevent further loss without even realize that the market do still have the

The Market can't tell when it will be ok to take part (join the trend) is all base on your own analysis to understand the market before you enter and also stay away from P&D groups or channels. Because that is another example where one can get burnt when seeing a signal is dropped and you enter late.

I hope that the current Bitcoin indicators will make it possible not only to return the spent funds of many cryptocurrency users, but also to partially earn money, because at the end of 2017 their investments negatively turned them against the cryptocurrency market.  If all goes well, then these people will remain ardent supporters of Bitcoin.

That is one bad thing about FOMO, and we have so many people that are falling into FOMO everyday but afraid to share their because of fear of being mocked or laughed at, or even being seeing as an I competent trader or investor, but we cannot all deny the fact that we don’t fall into it. The market is so difficult to predict, and I could remember that I fell into FOMO that is even worse than that of op’s own.

When bitcoin rose up to about $13,800, I rushed to buy, thinking bitcoin will touch the value of $15k at the speed it was going before any correction, I knew there was going to be a correction, but greed and FOMO made me to quickly consider entering at $13800, it was just as if I was the target, so annoying, the point I entered was when bitcoin made a very high correction back to $10k, was so mad at myself, but I am still not worried, because I know that the value is coming back.

It was obviously FOMO on your part. I guess a lot of people share your experience. Many must have thought that Bitcoin would reach as high as $16,000 at that time. But it is not something to be too sad about. It will only take a day or two before Bitcoin would exceed $11,000 once again. Just keep your patience intact and avoid selling with a loss.

There was a reddit post mocking people like the OP was complaining about. It showed a meme that was like "bought at 13800" and a sad person and today's date and then "bought at 13800" and a picture of a man with lambo and 2 years laters date.

I think that is the best explanation to give these type of people. Yes of course, if you waited another day you could have bought for a lot less and that is bad for you, I wish you could have bought cheaper, we sure could use some people who would buy from here but since that opportunity is long gone there is no reason to feel sad about it and should be looking for the future. Maybe in a week you will still be in profit, maybe in a month, maybe in a year but I can 100% guarantee you if you hold long enough you will be in profit no matter how long it takes.

One btc still worths one btc and will always do. So if you don't margin trade and don't play with money you need, you can't get burnt

At peak risk is less because you sell and get out with fiat. Then you are just going to watch a crash happen and laugh about it because you were wise enough to sell. The ones who will be crying are those who get euphoric with every rise and they think that it is going to be there forever. The forget the logic that selling pressure would soon strike and take slash out the price pump.

Yes that is true. And I think that it is important for you to reconsider your investment strategies before actually investing your money in the coins. It is very irrational to invest your money in Bitcoin when it is at peak. The reason is that you get to spend more money on a single Bitcoin than you would if you try to invest when the market is bearish.

If the OP is still holding on to his coins, they would be in a profit neck-to-neck, yesterday I saw bitcoin touch 13k or very close to it. I am sure the OP would have sold because he was panicking about when to do so.

I do feel bad for his position though, buying coins when they are at all time high means you would have to wait a long time after they drop. Anyway that happened with many traders out there since the bull urn of 2017 Q4 but most of them either panic sold and very few actually held on to them. Patience is the key here, because now it seems they could sell at a small margin of profit, if not bitcoin goes even higher. ;)

if  he is holding then definitely he should be in profit or be with little losses , i know many dont take right decision  in this times they will sell or take reverse trade everything they do with panic , patience and knowing what they are doing is very important

Would you invest in bitcoin at $11000 and sell at $11500, knowing well that it can appreciate further for you to gain more profit? Don’t do like you are a saint, we all fall into this temptation when it happens to us. I am very sure he would have had some increase but I doubt if he will sell his holding yet, I bet he is still watching to see how the value will still appreciate more.

One spirit about bitcoin increase is that we are never satisfied with any increase we witness, there is always this urge and temptation to stay longer whenever we witness a surge in price believing we could get more.Until maybe we see the value of the last ATH. Anyone that has been in the market before to witness what bitcoin is capable of given will always fall for FOMO. There is nothing we can do to change that.

That is right mate, we really have nothing to lose in bitcoin provided we don’t panic sell the spot, because bitcoin is a currency that will always have the volatility to correct any wrong position that was set no matter how long it takes, I am sure those who felt they got burnt in that last bull run would have seen that they are gradually approaching the value back, so next time, they have learnt their lesson never to join people to FOMO which usually cause lots of investor to buy at peak.

Once they are able to get their investment back now at $20k, because I am sure we will get some major dump at this value, I have seen so many analyst, and so many signal provider advising investor to set trade at $20k, I hope this is not where we will have major correction when lots of people takes profit.

Bitcoin is overrated

Just thinking about 10x profit is a waste of time. You wont get a profit if you think about it too much and dont focus on your fundamentals about skills in trading. 10x profits would have happened if you bought bitcoin back in 2009 and sold it at 2017 pump, and if you didnt then you can stop dreaming because it would repeat itself right away.

Risk management comes into play if you are playing margin with your money, if you are just holding for the point to sell from a buying spot then you wont have to worry much. ;)

I agree. don't panic about that. with patience will certainly return your money plus profit. indeed FOMO is like an emotional game where many people make transactions for fear of losing opportunities, this kind of thing that we should make a lesson

Calm down, if you feel your decision is wrong to try to start from the beginning, I think you already know how the fomo is delivered and if you learn from it you will become a better trader. Many peoples like you, where they bought because of Fomo even though the market had gone up and there was no correction.

Hey, at least you recognize the fact that you were part of the fomo, hope you managed to hold because it wasn't long ago really. And while now the bears are strong, the longterm chart is still bullish. In fact, long term is always bullish. So as an investor, be patient. Of course, if you speculated and wanted quick bucks, then you learn your lesson.

You may get burned today but maybe you did a great trade for the future? Who knows. Maybe if you bought at 13-14 thousand dollars you will still profit in couple of months. That is how it is for bitcoin world, you sometimes think you bought too high and it will go down and instead it goes up makes you profit or you sold and missed out on a good profit, sometimes you buy low and think that you got it right and it will go up from there and it just keeps going down.

There is really no person with a magic ball that can tell them which price is perfect to buy bitcoin and when it will go up or when it will go down, the only certainty in bitcoin is that it will probably be lower than this price in the future and it will probably be higher than this price in the future as well.

And yes I agree with you the bull ride is coming aoon so positive until op hold and keep it coin didn't considered burnt his money specuif bull run goes start.
