I want to hear people's opinion on altcoins not surging in value like bitcoin presently
Few of my friends have already dump there altcoins and buy bitcoin straight up ,I hope they make the right choice ,if not? That might be the biggest wrong move of their lives.
What are your thought?patience or swap for BTC ?
ETH still swimming in the 300$ + river ,what do you think will happen if ETH jumps to 900 or 1000$?

Personally, I continue to hold altcoins. Someday their time will come when the domination of Bitcoin will decline. Maybe it will come in the fall, we'll see.

I think as soon as btc settles or find some stable price range the bullish effect of the market will be transferred to alts as well and like btc eth and other will move too. I think considering the btc run, 1k will not be difficult for eth to break in coming weeks so i will suggest to hold.

because it has always been like this. altcoins get dumped whenever bitcoin is rising because of the following:
every investor in the cryptocurrency market does this! they dump altcoins to convert it back to bitcoin because they know altcoins get dumped during bitcoin rallies.

it is a right choice because no matter where bitcoin goes (up or down) altcoins have only one way to go and that is down!

it is highly unlikely for ethereum to get pumped that much because it has already lost its attractiveness and pumpability because they overpumped it in 2017 and also because the only reason for big pumps which was ICOs is now dead.

We have seen in past that Altcoin rallies follow Bitcoin. First Bitcoin rises magnificently like 30-50% in 1 or 2 months then major altcoins follow its footsteps. Currently Bitcoin is growing tremendously. In my opinion, it can easily surpass $15K in a week or two. But once it loses momentum and gain stability, major altcoins like ETH, XRP will start pouncing too. But again its fundamentally wrong to assume that all altcoins will grow. Most of the altcoins are actually shitcoins and even bull run won't impact them much.
But we can see dramatic price rise among most of the Top 50 coins in few weeks. Tron already started showing bullish signs, more to follow.

I think now is the worst time to sell our altcoins. I believe that this is exactly what the people who drive the market are trying to achieve now.

It is impossible to predict the top of BTC bull run, after the top, during the correction, alt season will start. I prefer to hold my alts to increase my BTC. maybe I am wrong time will tell us in a few months.

it is not possible for ethereum because the price of bitcoin is now suddenly pumping so it is possible that the price of ethereum also increases as it depends on bitcoin.

Not all altcoin goes bullish when bitcoin was, bitcoin now is in a bullish state as we can see its high value in the market, some altcoins follow to increase if their product or altcoins are in demand in the market, but if not it'll remain as what its price or decreases.

Obviously I and everybody like and believe in bitcoin. However, altcoins are not that much bad as some people think. Ethereum comes second position in the marketcap doing well in the hope of beating bitcoin in the future. As for me, I do not clear my portfolios of altcoins just to buy bitcoin. I will also keep good altcoins for the future.

Sure, altcoins aren't surging in value that much like bitcoin is, but even their prices are increasing, at a rapid rate, may I include (though not all coins')
For example, Litecoin. With its halving approaching, it's natural that its price will increase.

You know the price rally of Bitcoin today is very different compare to 2017. why im saying this, because according to some expert, this 2019 bitcoin price increase was a pure results and not a bubble meaning, Bitcoin rally today has a solid ground comparing to altcoins, thats why most of altcoins prices was dramatically increasing but not as fast like bitcoin.

Well, I'm not a fan of Bitcoin. But I think the time for Bitcoin has begun and I also think Ethereum will follow so I'll still hold my altcoins and wait for the Ethereum's price to rise up then I'll trade them all for Ethereum.

I prefer to hold altcoins because BTC prices are rising faster. Many people have gone to invest in BTC. Wait until the BTC price falls. The price of altcoins will rise. This is not the best time to sell altcoins.

As you friends decsion was right but when bitcoin was below $8000 at that stage should sold altcoin and buy BTC but now you should hold altcoin and time of rise in price of altcoin is near fo boom up.

If we talk about ETH, i have so much confidence on that altcoin and I don’t recommend to swap your ETH to BTC because the altcoins will also pump. Everyone is looking at the trend of bitcoin, but we should not just leavd altcoins alone because they are also good, after BTC expect altcoins and ETH to reach its new ATH.

Your friends did the right thing. It is much better to convert to bitcoin and leave the alt market for the meanwhile if you are no longer satisfied and cant wait for its season.

As for Eth, I'm bullish with it and I wouldn't rush to see it increase rapidly. Just look to it,eth is also pumping.

When bitcoin reaches new all time high ethereum will be reaching near to it but for other altcoins swapping can be the better option since increase of bitcoin keeps increasing everyday and many altcoins were dumping.

I don't know what will happen later, but certainly their choice is not a mistake. and I personally choose to survive and buy bitcoin using FIAT.
Finally, maybe everyone sees ethereum as not moving, but believe the second coin after the bitcoin that will increase is ethereum. this always repeats everytime.

Not ideal to hold only bitcoin, time for alts will come, though they are growing at a slower pace but a very quick but generally they are bringing in some profits too. There are a few altcoins doing quick pump than btc already but not in the top 100

If you have already sold altcoins then wait for the correction BTC. People will start to fix BTC. And after BTC falls in price, altcoins will fall too-this will be the best time to diversify the portfolio. Ethereum at 1000? It would look beautiful, but while it is out of reach for him.

Your friends are smart, that's exactly what you do during a BTC bull run. I have crypto friends who sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin because they think its the best decision to do now. Bitcoin is increasing while altcoins are not, there are some coins who managed to increase but still far from the progress of bitcoin.

IMO buying bitcoin might be a good decision but I wont sacrifice my altcoins just to buy btc, instead I will buy using my own capital if I have any. There's a perfect time to sell my altcoins so I will wait for that time.

Just some few hours ago, the Bitcoin likely faces the small bullrun, it really increases very highly. But now, it is decreasing again.
However, for some altcoins, it is quite different. Only some altcoins can follow the successful increase of the Bitcoin and now, especially the Ethereum and BNB.

Exactly! It's much better to handle few coins that have sure potentials than to hold a lot coins which can only give you more pressures. ETH is still profitable at this moment but we cannot expect it to be as much as profitable than bitcoin knowing bitcoin is still in the topmost position in crypto.

Well, if you see now almost all of altcoins price going red, only bitcoin and eth is green.
With this, i know that most holders are selling their altcoins to buying some btc or eth.
btc is the best coin in cryptocurrency, so nothing wrong to selling some altcoins for bitcoin.

Bitcoin and altcoins have always been like that, maybe in December 2017 everyone thinks altcoins followed bitcoin and they all went up but check the summer of 2017, while the bitcoin cash was created and the original hard fork happened the altcoins went down while bitcoin went up because everyone wanted to have some bitcoins and they wanted to see if they could make some money from the bitcoin cash hard fork (free bitcoin cash for everyone) which is why I personally think that altcoins usually goes down when bitcoin is going up but if you check the maximum and break the all time high then people realize they need to move their cash to altcoins in order to make new highs, if bitcoin goes to a level where it can't move any higher than altcoins will start to have their own huge rally as well.

ETH cant jump to 900 or 1000 by itself, i mean locally, only ETH. If it jumps to 1k, Bitcoin must be somewhere in 30k level :) So not a big deal, your friens make right choice, it is not so risky and can bring them profit!

what opinion do you want to hear? We all can see how the market is playing out and can only wait for altcoins to follow suit.  Also ethereum and some altcoins are doing good alongside the bitcoin bullish market

It's a normal cycle within the market as traders who deal with short term always looking for moving coin to invest in, right now Bitcoin is the one who keeps moving upwards so most traders are using this a s medium for investment taking every opportunities to be compensated, after all there's chances that they will comeback and find place inside Alts.

Patience bro, this will take a moment till btc will reach the moon then after that altcoin will pump like what happened to btc. Just a matter of patience and its better to invest and hold more altcoin now.

Binance Coin losing because people are selling to buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the one that is performing the best.
When Bitcoin will stall, people will sell and you will see the capitalization of TUSD and other stable coins surging.
Then people will re-invest in other altcoin when Bitcoin will go down.

Ethereum is always slowly growing after Bitcoin, although as for me. Regarding the 60/40 distribution, I think this is the best strategy that could be taken for implementation in the current market conditions. Although it would be better to include a little smaller alternative cryptocurrencies, the same Monero or Stellar.

BTC is almost below 10k and it seems its going to hit below 7k.
And ther eis no altcoin bull trend for now. BTC will enter a bullish trend but i think it will happen few months later.
