Title: Free listing on a new exchange
Post by: Damoiseau on June 26, 2019, 01:02:41 PM
Hi,

a friend is moderator for an exchange that has just been published.

It's a centralized exchange, and it looks for tokens to add, obviously for free.

The interface is quite nice.

I don't know if I have the right to post the link here, so feel free to send me a private message.

Thank you  ;D

Theres no prohibition on putting up the link as long it isn't a referral one.You should put it up so we would able to have some peak on the said exchange.

I don't think you are in the right section to announce this. Most of this kind of service that I've seen before are posted in this section below:

Service Announcements (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=197.0)

IMO The use of the emoji just round up your post as something not formal.
Like the first comment you can let us know more about this exchange that is sourcing for token to list on them at least the name of the exchange would not be bad

The funny thing is that there are people that are not going to take this opportunity now and get their coins listed for free, they are only going to start bothering when the exchange turns out to be a big exchange tomorrow. Just saying though, but you never know what tomorrow have in stock. Then another thing op, I think you should have posted the link to the website, you are allowed to post links as long as you’re not posting referral links. So edit this post and add the link to the website so that people can visit and take a look at the site.

you made 6 post in several different sections to announce that your exchange is accepting to list currencies and that is free listing, but you do not say that exchange is that?

how do you expect to have customers if you do not even say the name and link of the exchange?

do the following:

create an ANN thread in this section:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0

In ANN thread post the largest number of information about the exchange, you should not forget to tell who is the owner of the exchange and its location and fees and why your exchange is advantageous in relation to other exchanges

Atleast give the name of that exchange to know whether it is worth to add anyy coins or not.

But this is not the right way of doing this, promotion needs to be done by an offical from that site with all the details including requirement for coin or token to be added on their exchange.

If you do tend to read up again there would be no such hard requirement yet listing or adding it is obviously free. There are

informations which is casually needed up bu those are common ones like coins name, total supply and so on.

For op,you didnt even have the time on putting up the exchange name. How we could give out any words about it?

I don't want to be a bad prophet, but in 99% we know what will be tomorrow - an exchange in oblivion without any real liquidity and volume.

For a few reasons:
 1. A real business will not goes after 'a friend is moderator for an exchange'.
 2. I (as a client/trader) would't trust a such exchange.

I remember Deeponion trying to get on any possible exchange. You could check https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/deeponion/#markets and see on how many they have any volume at all. Plus few already bankrupted like stock.exchange (or something like that)

To make a good exchange you don't need to list all shhtcoins, you need to have decent liquidity and client's trust.

There ain't no way to make an exchange out to be popular these days, some exchange massively advertise it to google and Facebook but didn't make it still. You will have to spend and asks hollywood actresses to promote it but even this isn't a certain success. You might just have to find the grave of satoshi to make your crypto business popular.

Because promotion is not the reason why your product is going to thrive. Sure it is important, but relying everything on promotion is like an ICO project without any product that runs bounty for years.

I know some new exchange which is only around a few months old and they could compete with the existing market leader because they have something unique. Free listing is definitely not the best strategy because any exchange could do the same, and most of the time, only low-quality projects would like to list on such exchange. Instead of this, they should offer other features, like a new kind of order, market maker support, etc.

Just tell us what's the site, why do you need to hide it and only tell us through pm?
It's bit suspicious and i doubt it's legit exchange as they way you advertized is, its not proffessional
