After the return of Bitcoin to a level above 10 thousand, we again observe the fomo effect, where people’s topals begin to look for information on how to start investing. Of course, most of them restrict themselves to a basic study of the topic, and I think a documentary from Netflix about cryptocurrencies will only throw firewood into the fire to strengthen the trend. But of course, no secrets of how to trade people will not extract from there.

To understand how to invest and how to build your cryptocurrency portfolio, especially in the face of rising prices for bitcoin and altcoins, you need to turn to more comprehensive sources of knowledge, such as the Taklimakan platform, and not watch just Netflix movies. I am sure it will be interesting, but you need an understanding of fundamental analysis, trading strategies and a vision of trends, and you can get this knowledge, but not in one day. Which stops many people. But there are no other options to get a good profit, you need to invest your strength in self-education.

They will make documentary about altcoins, and one of them is some PACcoin, another in a series of successful altcoins. They make interviews with people like Vitalik Buterin or Jihan Wu, but also with the most famous crypto Judas Roger Ver. I do not see how these people could say something positive about bitcoin, or how this documentary can help bitcoin - it can only help to few altcoin owners in a way that some people will invest in some bad projects.

This documentary would be complete with Craig Wright and his vision of cryptocurrency, but maybe he will be surprise at the end of the movie as Faketoshi :D

At first we saw Facebook movies, then they decided to make their crypto-coin and this raised the bitcoin rate to almost 12 thousand. And now the most popular studio Netflix going to make a movie about a crypto. It’s hard for me to imagine how much this will impact the market, but that people will start flocking to search for questions on how to buy and trade. The era of cryptocurrency is near.

This has its meaning. The society becomes more mobile, many people go to live or work in other countries, economic and political restrictions also contribute to the fact that funds are needed that are not dependent on external aggressions, it should be easily transferred, so we can pay for purchases with less commission costs and great bonuses. All these privileges are in cryptocurrency. And although the crypto community is not so large now, it will start growing very quickly this year.

Netflix has got its viewers all around the world. At this moment what we need is more popularity to reach the common people. Already there were very few songs that are created to promote cryptocurrency apart from bitcoin getting telecasted on few films. Now Netflix creating a separate documentary will surely help people in knowing much about bitcoin.

As far as I know, the documentary will be on alts, but still I would consider this a welcoming news for crypto in general. And the timing is just about right, I mean crypto specially bitcoin is hugging the limelight now and this kind of publicity will be very good overall. So good job to Netflix for releasing this documentary.

we can't be sure about it until we see it actually released. usually these things tend to disappoint us. and not to mention that finding actual experts who understand bitcoin and are willing to spend their time explaining it takes time which for some reason these films seem to skip.
for instance if they use Andereas Antanopolis then it will be worth watching but if they stick to nonsense speculation and price rise and falls then it would be a waste of time.

Well this would be a welcome sight to watch and behold. This is for certain.
Because as soon as one not involved in the cryptospace hears about crypto they instantly think of it being only bitcoin.
And all the other altcoins get lost in the fray and sound on deaf ears.
So this docu series will be a good educational lesson for those not in the know of how cryptocurrencies work and what work goes in to making them a reality.

Netflix already has a couple of movies about bitcoin, but they are kind of old because they were filmed before bitcoin reach $20k, so, a new documentary would be good to update people about what happened after that moment. I will wait for it, hope to see some good material.

I fear about how this documentary will be presented. There are different perspectives of crypto and I just hope it won't all a dystopian type film and present only one side of the story. Though, either way, it would help increase awareness

There are other documentaries on flix regarding cryptocurrency but I didn't enjoy them as much. Right, a lot has misunderstood bitcoin and with this educational video, it can greatly help in the image of bitcoin and also it will help newbies and possible investors to fully understand cryptocurrency. And with Netflix making the documentary would mean it can reach to many people.

What I would also want to see in the documentary is how they did marketing in bitcointalk. If netflix just feature some of the remarkable users/posts in the forum and how this forum became the platform for the community, it will be a lot satisfying to say in my public profile like facebook that I was here since time.

It's okay at least this film still tells about crypto, I'm sure the audience is not that stupid, of course they will find out more about altcoin and find bitcoin.

Netflix network that almost covers the entire world and always presents quality entertainment, by this movies will educate loyal audiences about the cryptocurrency which has been considered an underground business. I hope the story in it is very positive and opens people minds that cryptocurrencies are not as bad as they perceive on broadcast news.

I also think this is a good idea. Bitcoin needs to be popularized more and more. But not dibilny advertising on the Internet, which causes disgust, namely, well-made films with an interesting plot. Netflix makes pretty high-quality films, albeit less budget than Hollywood. I hope that thanks to the cryptocurrency movies, there will be even more supporters who will understand all the advantages of the blockchain and will stop thinking that cryptocurrency is a risk and fraud.

Bitcoin's high value is not for the benefit of its investors alone but also leads to cryptocurrency become more popular. Yes having documentary about crypto can really help others, and give them wider ideas about cryptocurrency. It can get the attention of other people but it depends on which side they're going to show people about the documetary.

It will just be a chance for this what they say founders to advertise their coins and somehow give people some sweet words about it to invest.

I quite enjoy the Netflix content, because it is not this C-class movies that you see on other platforms. They really provide quality content and it reaches a huge audience. <We just hope the Netflix algorithm will push it to as many people as possible.>  :P

Well, another step for the people around the world to be aware about crypto.

We know that many are using netflix around the world and with this documentary they will film, for sure many people will be curious about it. I think with this move made by netflix, some will do the same too that they will do a film too regarding crypto. Lets just hope that many will watch the documentary :D.

Then, despite the price drop, Bitcoin awareness continued to increase. But by the end of 2018 people slowly lost hope. This Netflix documentary can remind people of Bitcoin and Blockchain again. Since I am a strict Netflix user, I know that Netflix often reminds me of Bitcoin. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are mentioned in many Netflix series and movies. For this documentary to be useful, it must include constructive language and telling the truth. It's not just the good stuff. It must explain the advantages and disadvantages at the same time.

And yes, the wind is now blowing in the same direction as Bitcoin. This documentary can increase the speed of the wind in this direction.

We already have a number of Bitcoin documentaries around which, in my opinion, is already very educational and have a better grasp on bitcoin like :
1. Banking on Bitcoin
2. Bitcoin Documentary - The end of Money as we know it
3. The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin

And besides, most of the interviewees on this documentary are Altcoin Founders. This documentary could be more on Altcoins rather than Bitcoin itself. I do not believe this will help Bitcoin at all.

We already have a lot of documentary about Cryptocurrency, but this one will add a lot of flavor to it, because they are going to interview top names in the industry, this is a good insight on Cryptocurrency where are going to head, this could be one of the pieces that can help us reach another all time high.

Yes netflix will make a documentary about altcoins and i do think it will talk about the 2017 where altcoins explode. Well i do think it will increase the awareness about crypto space and i do think bitcoin will also affected by this documentary cause bitcoin is the first crypto and the most popular one.

But I'm still feel sad when I saw CRYPTO movie title, they have less rating because it's not attract to much attention to watch it although the actor was the good one, Kurt Russel.

The mainstream media has been starting to expose cryptocurrency in order can be known by most people and it's really great idea IMO.

I don't have a hope that cryptocurrencies prices will surge if the mainstream media exposed it but at least this way can make everyone aware that cryptocurrency is legit, not a place that will cheat them if they intend to having it.

I don't know if the adviser is the real satoshi nakamoto who made bitcoin maybe it will be interesting. Although we cannot still conclude that it is going to push up the prices of Bitcoin and altcoins, if this is going to be carried out in a way that is not bias to the banks and to the governments, I mean in an objective and really educational way, this will definitely be collecting a lot of Bitcoin followers.

Anything that is positive about Bitcoin will be received by the whole community, Netflix has huge subscribers based and we need something like this from a big production company because we still don't have one, maybe in the future, we will have movies about Cryptocurrency in horror suspense, action or even comedy, because Cryptocurrency can be applied on almost anyhting.

Need a media for all people know about cryptocurrency, maybe it's netflix or might also facebook can take all people know to cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Before talking about how it can affect the price we need to talk about what's the content of the documentary first. There's a possibility that the documentary could become misleading and messed up. If it's nothing negative about Bitcoin why not? I have heard about similar movies that portrayed Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency in negative way. That is certainly not good for the image of cryptocurrency with millions of people watching.

It told everyone how negative and how bad it is to actually invest in cryptocurrencies and all , it showed all the downsides and therefore what if this is the same thing ?

I honestly don't want too many people to know about crypto yet and the reason is that I am still building up my crypto portfolio and right now crypto is pretty new and we all early adopters. Now if it suddenly becomes popular people with large hodlings will be rich, those like me that have not built up enough riches will make a nice profit but I rather that didn't happen. I want my portfolio looking really good before crypto goes mainstream.

that was obvious by the past actions, I know making a documentary will be helpful but will it be worth the effort. well if we think about it then the most benefit people are going to get is in the future.

This sounds like greed.  :P No matter what, crypto is already going mainstream. You can't stop the adoption that is continuously going on. Many people already know the existence of crypto but most of them doesn't know how to do with it. This documentary might open the eyes of those people who don't know how to use crypto to make a financial transaction. With more people using crypto, it means the demand will increase and so its value.

If netflix will make a film about the cryptocurrency documentary, it will become a new way to promote cryptocurrency again. I do not know how they use cryptocurrency as a one. Another thing, why do they have interests in cryptocurrency? I just heard the word crypto in the movie 'Antman'. But I don`t see any kind of movie or film about cryptocurrency industry.

It will be a good introduction for the people who are willing to know and learn about the market, still not sure what the script of the documentary is all about until they release it, i am not sure whether these videos will push the market further, as people said earlier here, it will be a good advertisement for the market for the people who are yet to join the market that being said the alt coin market will die down eventually and we are not sure how the regulators will deal with the anon coins, only trust the bitcoin market for the long run  ;).

If that so, people will watch and learn at the same time about cryptocurrency. I hope they will not focus on cryptocurrency, they should explain the blockchain also. People who want to learn and start an investment in bitcoin, It will be a starter for them to learn. It's a good way tho and hoping that they will put legit information about it.

I think this is definitely going to be a lot of debate, because documentary films should be made if history of that matter has been completed and while we are still running today is part of that history. I think there will be many opinions and statements that can be controversial. It would be better if it was used as a crime film series or a puzzle or something

I have heard that the movie will have information about specific projects and alts which can be beneficial for those alts. But this is only speculation at this point.

Way of viewing things in world is getting changed and NetFlix / HBO played an important role in that thing. If these streaming platforms create documentary on cryptocurrency then people who are still not in crypto market will watch it considering it as Netflix release and hope after watching that many of them will definitely research about crypto investment and some of them will adopt crypto like us.

I was looking for a release date on the video and from the website which announced they were done filming it but I came up with no information about when it will appear on their service.

i have only one wish for the people who will be involved in this documentary, employ individuals who really know the ins and outs of crypto. would be interesting if they can include Theymos in the documentary movie = after all this forum has massive info in terms of crypto and where most blockchain projects are born. imo, the Crypto movie didnt give justice to its title. or maybe im expecting more than what they showed to the audience.

yes, bitcoin is indeed growing rapidly, and even the enthusiasm of today's society is increasing towards bitcoin, with the presence of the film expected the community know more about what is bitcoin and increase public trust in bitcoin

Bitcoin is gaining more importance around the globe through the awareness through different sources. The recent launch of libra coin details from facebook has made people know much about cryptocurrencies. I strongly believe more people who haven't known much about cryptocurrency have begun to use cryptocurrency then onwards.

This way the documentaries related to bitcoin will also give users the understanding and the way to use it for good. The documentary should not portray more about the negative incidents which might make the mind hesitant to get into cryptocurrency usage.

Once its out the world will know crypto started like the wild west and that we shoot each other here only to spread bad side of each each coin and that each team competes each other trying to take over BTC and adoption. If they feature the bounty campaigns here, that would be awesome to hear if they interview some real people who does bounty hunting here.

When they can't actually get some words from the Bitcoin veterans, altcoin companies on the other hand are actively promoting their projects and I personally can't see any possible boost towards bitcoin which in fact just the real valuable coin as of the moment.

It would be much better if Netflix can find really good sources to where the crypto originally started and it's theory since we can't actually get Satoshi's words towards it and that might be worth watching than this.

It would be great if this documentary film has a really good goal to help people better understand the crypto instead of pr for some exchanges and investment apps like the videos I've ever seen. I do not expect that this will increase the price of btc or eth, just stabilize everything with slight fluctuations. that would be better than a boom like 2017.

Netflix is one platform that has been very vocal and not afraid of going into areas that other movie producers have been shying away from and decide to leave alone. Aside from this position they have taken, they also have the platform in which others are struggling to even get a portion of and that is to the advantage of crypto. If they are going this route, then it will mean alot to the crypto sphere and its something to be happy about because I am sure the documentary will be very well detailed to address majority of the grey areas which people are looking for answers to by those already aware of crypto itself not to talk of the impact it will make on those who will be joining for the first time.

Though most of the viewers on netflix are teenagers so the outcome really depends on how they will perceive such a currency. Maybe they would invest, or just take it as a joke.

It would be nice to watch. I hope that it will be a great document, very professional. Netflix did few nice films recently, it would be nice if this one was good too.

Being documented is already great, it will increase the recognition of bitcoin among many people and not to mention that netflix is available worldwide and watched by millions of people, it is like a free advertising for the crypto itself. If a news appear that netflix accepts crypto it will fade away in few days anyway while documentary will just stay there.

It's a great news, but i'm worried about the way how it's going to be presented. Hope it won't show cryptocommunity in a bad way. But on the other hand - Netflix has done many documentaries, and lots of them were done really well.

I think it's a great idea, too. The more people talk about bitcoin, the faster it will spread. Therefore, I think that the series about bitcoin will have a positive impact on its development, it is unambiguous.

I think this is a very interesting idea for the film, not only for beginners but also for people in general. Many will finally be able to understand what cryptocurrencies are and may change the negative opinion about them. I look forward to ;)

This sounds great. Yeah, people can learn more about crypto currencies through this documentary, but what if the documentary spreads only bullshits among the people? What if the documentary ends up being biased and just emphasizes more on the negative aspects of crypto currency? People now a days believe what ever they see on the internet!

On another hand, I don't know how good it was to invite Roger Ver and have interview with him, we all know who is this man and how worse things he talks just to promote bitcoin cash over bitcoin. He is just a man of money.
It would be really a game changer if they would invite Johhny Downay JR and interview him as a Tony Stark.

This is really going to push the adoption of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology as a whole. Once Netflix does this i am definitely sure other streaming platforms are going to do same to promote the use of cryptocurrencies. I know in about 10 years from now we would see cryptocurrencies being used by many countries.

I do not know why there are still not many movies about cryptocurrencies yet.Perhaps netflix,creating a quality and competent film will really attract many people to the world of crypto.I look forward to the release of this film.

This is indeed a welcome development at least this gonna erase some negative perspectives about cryptos in some quarters while a lot viewers will learn more and get first hand information regarding it which might invariably encourage new investors into the cryptosphere.

Already today there are several movies of the series about cryptocurrency and it can be noted that in many modern films with a completely different theme, they still begin to mention cryptocurrency.  And this contributes to increasing interest in cryptocurrency among people who do not know anything about this.

A single Netflix movie on crypto won't push the price to insane heights op. Be realistic. It might help BTC surge in a small way, but expecting it to rally like crazy is foolishness. If the Avengers mentioned BTC, it would be a different ball-game though.

As Bitcoin adoption grows over time, more and more TV shows and movies will continue referencing it in many ways. However, negative news can also push its price downwards which is something that can happen at any time.

I heard it was going to be about altcoins entirely because it is a follow up to the documentary about bitcoin. I read that the documentary is going to include David Chaum too which I am a huge fan of because of privacy

Also, one movie is not enough to showcase what crypto is all about. They might not tackle all aspects of it and leave the audience not satisfied what they've seen. That is some good news. Free publicity is what er need right now. There are several other positive news spreading in the market which has already lead bitcoin to create a spike in bitcoin's price.

Although the ideas or intentions are good but how do we know the direction they will choose to film the documentary?, just curious of what they actually wanted to do or pass during the film documentary. That's big though, but can we sure that these people love watching documentaries than watching movies?  ::) I mean they could but Netflix is just made for chilling. I am a Netflix subscriber but when I swipe on the movies recommended, almost no documentaries shown to me.

From the trailer it looks like its more about altnernative coins which many people have never heard of, even when I ask few of my friends who have invested some of their money in bitcoin don't have any idea about NEO or NANO. This documentary might put more light into the fact that there are also thousands of other coins with different purposes that bitcoin.

Yeah, it would be a great way of publicity for crypto, a movie about crypto will certainly catch a lot of attention, many will understand it more seeing it all in the movie, only as long as they portray a good picture of crypto and not something that will make people to be even more distance from it.
