Bitcoin is on the run for some months now and it has significantly increased from $3700 bottom to over $13k but the price of altcoins is dragging and its not really following the trend. My question is that when will altcoins join the current rally in crypto market?

When bitcoin reaches a peak. This is usually what happens. When the price of Bitcoin stabilizes all projects quietly go to the top. All of course depends only on the projects. I think now while the projects are suffering because investors are reinvesting in Bitcoin.

Because the price of bitcoin is high then the altcoin will also follow it but it will slowly not be the same as bitcoin, but the altcoin also has the potential to go to the moon,

calm donw, altcoin is almost ready to start they boom.
in my prediction Altcoin will get Lambo in end of this year until early of next year.
that mean we just need to wait a little more.

the market movement currently is not fair at all. the BTC/Altcoins has been plummeting for over 3 weeks now. i wonder what really is happening to the market. it is hard to predict if the altccoin will make any good move this time around. the whole looks like someone is controlling the market.

Altcoins has its own time. Just be glad that there are many altcoins that's been following bitcoin's rise. Eth for example has rallied from being down below $100 to over $300.

Altcoins are not ready for bull run. They have not changed as much as Bitcoin to grow. Only the real use in the real world could bring altcoins to the moon. But are you using your altcoins?

No one knows exactly when will the altcoins will follow the rally. Let us all just be prepared by filling our bags with good coins that will lead us on gaining good profits.

as soon as developers stop being greedy and stop focusing on ways to maximize the amount of money they can make in the shortest time possible and start getting off their asses and create a new altcoin that is actually going to be used in real world.

Altcoins will grow when Bitcoin keeps a stable price for at least a month. Now people are not up to Altcoins, their views are focused on Bitcoin.

thats mean a lot of people selling their altcoins to buy bitcoin
so, this could be an opprtunities to collect more the best altcoins project such as ethereum, and others  ;)

I think that most Altcoins will start showing good results at one time, but for this, it is necessary the price of Bitcoin should stabilize

Its the same movement I'd expect from altcoins now ,they can't just start surging just because bitcoin hits 13k ,things are not like that in the past and its not going to be now ,you have to keep holding your altcoins for now till altcoins season starts,you can see how fluctuating the bitcoin price is so without any stability don't expect any altcoins bullrun soon

As long as Bitcoin continues to go up, it will be very difficult for the altcoins to join the rally, and the altcoins are likely to start growing themselves, without the involvement of Bitcoin.

You just expected that it will be high and rapid as bitcoin but it didn't. They will join the rally but not everyone on the market will.

I think the same should wait until the price of bitcoin stabilizes and then we will most likely see how our altcoins show good growth. But this is only an assumption, the market is unpredictable and how this or that coin behaves cannot be said for sure.

I highly suspect that alctoins may not join the party this time. The general sentiment towards alts is pretty low. Most of the attention goes to Bitcoin, Libra, STOs.
Even ethereum is nowhere to be heard lately in a significant way.

Bitcoin dipped to around 3100 in the last downtrend but luckily the reversal seems good and recovery is expected to be fast from here, regarding your question about altcoins i think no one can answer this question, if you really believe in your alt holdings then just keep holding and if you feel nervous you can flip for btc but it will be your own decision.

Don't expect altcoins season any time sooner unless bitcoin became stable in price for a short period of time, have patience cos sooner or later altcoin season will return

It looks quite surprising to me as to why altcoins haven't joined the race yet. I think maybe people are converting from alts to btc and that is why alt isn't pumping. Maybe they will soon

It can’t be big like bitcoin but altcoins pump will begin now. The next uptrend will be on both bitcoin and altcoins, i hope to see my altcoins pumping like eth, utk and bnb. We will go to the moon, next year will be the pump but we have to start it the trend again and be hopeful for that. Altcoins will join very soon, it will be big i hope so.

As far I know Bitcoin's bottom was 3300 USD, and it grew very well. A very few coins followed Bitcoin's path! Like the Link, BNB coins! Though Bitcoin wasn't the reason for these coins grows! Altcoins are not growing that well, but I hope if Bitcoin hit the 15K USD mark, altcoins will join the rally!

Some people don't realize the fact that most crypto investors are initial interested in bitcoin because it has so much profit and it will continue to be that way until the bitcoin reach a very high price, when that happens all the people who are unable to buy a large amount of bitcoin or they don't want to take the risk of investing 100k, then they will move into investing in the other altcoins, that is what happend last time when bitcoin reached 19k and i am pretty sure it will happen this time again.

One of the reason of why Bitcoin is in rapid increase is because the Altcoin holders are selling their slow moving assets for Bitcoin so that they could be able be ride on time for the profits. I used to see that Altcoins will depend on Bitcoin in which it will always create a domino effect on every performance but not this time therefore in order for Altcoins to join the Bitcoin bullish i think they should now review and renew their market strategies so that they could attract more people to invest on their products too.

No one knows for sure but I think the altcoins will join the rally when bitcoin reaches further than this point. My speculation is the altcoins should be able to burst through if bitcoin somehow reaches up to $19,000 point.

Well, today, I can see the charts full of green. This is one good start for the rally that you are eagerly waiting. But we need a little patience. I honestly think that the bull run is more focused on Bitcoin. We have seen how in a matter of hours and days, the price of Bitcoin has made an awesome leap and acquired back the price levels that were only touched back in 2018. I think bitcoin will not get any more significant bump and this is the time of altcoin getting bumped. This is the best time to divert from bitcoin to altcoin as well since bitcoin will probably be burking around $13k for a long time.

It's gonna happen, be ready from now. You only need buy some altcoins that you think it will goes up when rally come. I'm interested to buy ETH and NEO which has increased in price a few days ago. The price of bitcoin has been stable now and many whales out there will pay attention to see altcoin price.

I was really dismayed in the situation of altcoins when bitcoin starts to increase up to $13K yet it has no obvious impact on altcoin.Looking into the trend of the market i am still hoping and still keeps the coins in my wallet for the better earning soon.

Many altcoins price have not change and stagnant. This situation is diffrent from 2017 where altcoin always follows the movement of Bitcoin. This is a difficult situation for altcoins, especially the altcoins from the ICO where price increases depend on the development of the project.

It is not when it will happen, the question is how will it happen. There should be market conditions that need to be seen in both Bitcoin and altcoin respectively, for the later to rally. For instance the market share as you can see right now the dominance of BTC rose from 52% last 2 months ago to roughly 62%, and that is a 10% jump which is huge in the market. For altcoins to rally this market share should favor them by more than 50% or at least they even out the dominance of BTC.

Anytime it happen. For sure nobody knows when it will happen but I predict that anytime this year it can happen. With the continuous rise of the market, I feel that it can happen anytime this year. Just a prediction and the chances of it is around 40-50% I think :D

Rally is somewhere here. Btc performed local high and 300%+ growth for half a year, so altcoins season will show us strong altcoins and now is a perfect time for start

We need little more patience because now slowly altcoin started increasing due to the price of bitcoin is going down. Don't expect a sudden increase it will take some to recover the altcoin but surely your patience will pay a good profit. You need to wait until their turn comes towards your holdings.

You need to wait for nothing and I have seen so many answers like you dude. You don't need to wait because you don't even know about where it will be going. how long you have been waited will be wasted if you have been taking wrong position. the difficult part to place yourself on the right zone.

We are waiting for that to happen and it is very difficult for us to be able to predict this market accurately without knowledge on what may happen next time or next month. Altcoins are going to recover though it might not be now and many of them are going to recover and some are going to die out in no time.

Who know and who cares, bitcoin is already satisfying people with its surge, that is why we always advise people to make sure that they make bitcoin priority first even if they have to diversify into other coins, if we make bitcoin priority, I am sure by now, many of its investors would not be bothering over when altcoins will rise, they will just wait for it to pick anytime suitable.

There is absolutely no one that can tell you exactly when altcoins will rise, not even the greatest analyst, the only thing we just know is that bitcoin will at one point go sideways during its increase, and once it does, altcoins will follow, so the question is, when will bitcoin go sideways? I guess no one can still tell you this, we just have to wait patiently for the time to come, and then grab the opportunity when we see it.

Is it possible that there will be no rally at all? Just as far as I understand, the market is always unpredictable, and now it is heard from all sides about the rally. I understand that alts should catch up with Bitcoin in view of the correlation. But the probability that there will be no rally is interesting.

I hope altcoins session starting this week, whem bitcoin dominance not more than 57 percent that be a good signal to altcoins start mooning...

it can happen if when bitcoin rises and the altcoin follows its growth. it will be a balanced pump between bitcoin and altcoin. when that doesn't happen, the dominance of bitcoin is inevitable. altcoin will continue to grow slowly.

I don’t think this this how altcoins do operate, normally I do not expect all altcoins to follow bitcoin in its uptrend during its dominance, most altcoins do dump hard during bitcoin dominance and we can only see few of them which are usually the ones within the top 100  that follows bitcoin immediately in its rally.

The time most of these cons do pump is when bitcoin has dominated the market for a while, and then it goes stable for a while during the dominance, like the one we usually call consolidation, that is when altcoins starts spiking so high, and then bitcoin is usually stagnant, after the altcoins is when bitcoin continues on its rally till it sets a new all-time high, which I think may still be possible because bitcoin has already developed very high beyond expectations for this month of July.

BTC always comes first and the effect is that altcoins does the opposite. This is what we have seen for a moment and definitely traders started to buy some of it. Altcoins commonly increased when BTC value decreased. This is from what I observed and I think not only me but the crypto community I guess.

Altcoins joining the rally is not a thing that is certain but we can speculate about it. I think bitcoin needs to push further in order for the altcoins to follow through further since there are also signs that good altcoins are pushing forward little by little but it is not too much to make a profit for the investors.

Just wait cause altcoins will soon join the rally,  and bitcoin needs to reach 15,000 first before altcoins will start to pump.  Im.pretty sure it will happen this month.

If we only need $15K then I think altcoins bull run is just around the corner.

I want to speculate altcoins to have rallies when December 2019 comes along. But right now, the only way we need to do is to wait and buy altcoins. They will rise according to their purpose and development. Altcoins play a vital role in this industry, they serve as the substitute coins in bitcoin. But they never been prioritized nor selected. I have seen a post regarding with bitcoin and altcoins. And he showed how altcoins are important in ou industry.

it becomes natural, when bitcoin is in a low price and grows, of course investment will run away to bitcoin. and the effect of altcoin being lonely and slow to move even though bitcoin is already very strong.

Bitcoin dominant is still very high and you should not expect altcoins rally to commence very soon because there should be technical reasons why that should happen. The main reason why traders flipped bitcoin to altcoins in January 2018 was because of transactions fees in Bitcoin blockchain network and since that is settled people prefer to hold their funds in Bitcoin than any of the altcoins and that is why I said before that we need "technical reasons for that to happen". We can keep holding for that to happen but Bitcoin dominant is going to remain above 60% for long!

It will take sometime till bitcoin be more stable in price and the dominance decreased. And need to  start raise more than 2x or more So that FOMO will start again. So want to say first need btc stability and secondly the btc dominance  decreased to less than 50% then we can see another bullish journey by Altcoins.

isn't it short of increasing altcoin trading. if the altcoin trade increases and the altcoin demand increases it will increase the price of the altcoin. maybe the pump will work if the altcoin trade increases. now indeed everything is focused on bitcoin because bitcoin price movements are difficult to predict now.

it already came to the good position but we cannot hundred percent se the altcoins are going well so that it takes sometimes for best results after that we can analyse what is going on and how can we do the investment.

what we find now on the market is growth that is made by several altcoins themselves. they do their own pumps. does not depend on the growth of bitcoin. it would be very difficult to expect from the growth of bitcoin now because trade dominance is still very large in bitcoin. maybe because yesterday the price dropped a lot, that's what makes a lot of investment focus on bitcoin.

Correction from $3,200-14,000 significantly ,and that’s a huge rally while altcoin comes lucky if increasing at least 20% from the dip.for some weak investors this is frustrating but for the seniors this is a advantage since we can accommodate more from cheaper prices not like bitcoin that it isn’t harder to enter now because the value is truly high and increasing still

In my believe Bitcoin first needs to cool down and fall back to somewhere between 6-8k. Not much retail at the moment, but people who were already invested and a few institutions at most. The bullmarket will take a bunch of alts with it, but we’re not there yet. Ofcourse LTC, ETH and others like Chainlink (crazy gains) have performed well together with BTC already.
A lot of coins have lost faith by their supporters and where they were steadily inside the top 20 they are now struggling to stay in the top 100. New projects on the horizon and it remain to be seen which will come out strong in the next rise.

That's correct, all we need here is to continue to be patient and wait for our time.

As for now, I'm happy with bitcoin recovering but will be happier if the altcoins will also recover, we can call this a big success for the crypto world.

If I have spare money, I'll follow your suggestion, altcoins so far has not recovered yet, meaning their value is pretty undervalued and I believe once the bull run starts and bitcoin again make a new ATH, I have no doubt altcoins will also follow next and that would bring big return for us.

alts have their own life and they dont fully depend on btc  .

Yes, "should have" looks too boldly for altcoin world  ;D BTC playing first fiddle and nothing more. Looks on the Binance Q2 correlation report for example. Of other sources. Not every BTC growth will accompanied by altcoin spring.

Nobody knows when it happens and I am more and more skeptical whether altcoin season ever comes. Bitcoin will be able to do much more things in the future, why we need altcoins then?   ::)

Most of the capital is sucked into bitcoin and IEO projects are FOMO. Some Altcoins are very good prices that can buy Altcoin with Alt / USDT because the price of BTC is still unstable so trading of Alt / USDT pairs will be safer.

some altcoin like ethereum, BCH, BCD, BTG and litecoin when bitcoin price on bullrun all those altcoin drag on bitcoin price, dont wait too invest on top ten altcoin, when bitcoin domination decrease then altcoin will be party

Soon, the altcoin will join the rally, no need to worry and we are near to that moment. Some of the altcoins have already rallied to a higher price, but the other altcoin still stays at the lower price, so we need to be patient for a while. Maybe your coin will increase and join the rally, but if it's not, you need to waiting until that time comes.
