Title: Scam accusation against Amsterdex/BanzaiBTC
Post by: SoccerGuru on June 29, 2019, 03:12:37 PM
Hi,

What happened::

I want to share with you my story of exchange investment. Its Amsterdex. A founder is BanzaiBTC, who is legendary user here. On 21 april, they closed exchange and say its maintance, but 2 month ago no update, no evidence- just "We've discovered a serious bug in our software. This will take a while to fix. Updates will be given through this page. All other channels will be offline until we get back. ETA ~2-4 weeks."

I will share with you screenshots. I invested in their ICO, for launching a exchange. Profitshare model- token holders will optain 60% of trading fees on exchange. BanzaiBTC created Amdex and start ICO with price of 18 000 satoshi per token. He also create Xmas coin, which he giveaway. They dump this coin hard and also pump and dump many times Amdex.

Amount Scammed: they scammed me with around 200$ (bought coins and deposited amount). Amsterdex "exit scam" amount around 25 BTC
Payment Method: - Will check my wallets to found their btc address.
Proof of Payment: -
PM/Chat Logs:

Additional Notes: Why I think, that BanzaiBTC exit scam?

Let's accept that Banzai has been found serious bug. Why he visit forum around 13 MAY and didn't give us any evidence whats going on? This is simply exit scam for me.

Probably, also involved- TillKoen

Please, could trusted user tag BanzaiBTC?
Will update this thread, if i have more evidence about this patetic scammer!

Thank you!

EDIT 1:
I send message to BanzaiBTC.

This does not look right. Why it's going to take 4 to 6 weeks to fix bug of a system? Before I do something I would like to hear BanzaiBTC's input here. Please send him a PM with the link of this topic.

Also since you have lost money, I would suggest to create a flag (possibly type 2 or 3). But first let us hear from BanzaiBTC.

EDIT:
By the way, can you rearrange your original post? Follow the below format:

If you read one line down, they state that the "bug" enabled people to withdraw double. So either they are lying and this is an exit scam, or the bug was exploited to such an extent, that they are now busted. I vote exit scam since their last communication was on April 29th on discord and it appears they have blocked all forms of communication to them. We may have to wait quite sometime for BanzaiBTC to respond to us. He hasn't logged on for a month and half.

These days doing business with exchanges is too risky. I am still in doubt about the cryptopia event.

I did not notice BanzaiBTC last login time. I am going to put a tag (if BanzaiBTC comes up and give us a satisfactory answer then I will chance my tag) also I am suggesting OP to create a flag and update the original post with the tag link.

Edit:
Tagged.

Guys, thank you for support. I send message to BanzaiBTC with reference link to this thread. I edit my original post. I will not quote all replay, because this post will be very long.
@bones261, This is right... He hasnt logged on long time ago, and because of that i guess this is simply exit scam. Why he didnt share more evidence about situation...
@Slow death, Yes, they create much coins just for profit. I think Amsterdex is Tradepioneers.com, just new brand.
@Pamoldar, what do you think to create tag? I give to BanzaiBTC neggative feedback.

Thank you guys again!

@Pamoldar, what do you think to create tag? I give to BanzaiBTC neggative feedback.
I have created a topic to guide you how to create a tag. Please follow here: Step to flag a user (trust flag) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5160255.0)

Initially I just wanted to answer here then I thought to create that separate topic so that other newbies can be benefited. Create a flag and I will support it.

I did not expect from this exchange, and at that time it seemed very solid and trusting. But that shows once again that everything can be scam.

Thanks for support guys!

I have added such flag to BanzaiBTC, can anyone see it? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=389572

I see it like this:

https://i.ibb.co/vk2NvLb/51731103.jpg
If I am not wrong then this is a flag type one. If OP creates a flag then he can create one from type two or three which will be more effective.

Okay I have supported the flag created by SoccerGuru. Seems like this is a flag type one.

Amount Scammed: they scammed me with around 200$ (bought coins and deposited amount).

Using this, you could create flag type 2 or 3 which would be more effective. Now since you already created this flag, I think in the next 180 days you can not create anymore flag to this same user.

Anyway, still it's something than to have nothing. You got my support there. You might need more DTs to get support for this flag. There is a topic in the reputation board where you can request support. Feel free to post the flag link there.

TillKoen

you forgot an L ... it is TillKoeln  and not TillKoen.
and to be honest, i dont think that banzai runaway

it is sometimes easier to say sorry,
instead of asking for permission.
just wait a bit and he will comes up again.

it is not that easy if you build it up alone  /on your own.
imagine how much Crypto Exchanges failed until now.
" without counting the real scammer which runaway"
just these one which try it, and failed. ...

you lost 200 Dollar ?  what was your imagination ? HighRiskyInvestment ?
ppl wanna invest into a business 200 Dollar and believe they are like
the first guy behind Google ... but there are many "googles" around
which failed.

just my 2 cents as opinion

edit: .. just to make it sure ...  everyone had seen that there is an real Development
happend ....  it is not like that you give your money to some stranger which
turns around, and was never seen again.....

if that "work" wasnt be enough finaly to bring up an full working system is
written on another side ...  but there is a big difference between a scam
and this what you have on amsterdex.

Editē ...  and yeah ... i expect allright the crying and bitching ppl who scream
scammer or whatever and just give it a minute until you flag me as next

... i wrote this text above without any intention
to defend Banzais politic around communication with the users.

so yeah,  lets th trolling starts

How you will defend Banzai now??????????? 5+ months are gone and Amsterdex is still offline.
By the way, you are accused too, now i will explain why!
You ran unnamed.exchange, mmmm its the same design as Amsterdex. I think you are envolved in Amsterdex exit scam and i guess unnamed.exchange probably will run out with money!
Thank you!

This is quitte amusing.

I'm getting flagged by people who I thought we're long time project supporters, and who I trusted into my "private circle". Lesson learned.

Ico scam and exit scam? You think our server would give you a maintenance warning if we did some sort of exit scam?
Funny way to look at things.

We've had a serious code error. This was announced and needed to be fixed. Two other staff members walked out, and I was left alone. All fine, but I needed more time to solve this matter. My public communication skills are basically 1 in a scale of 10. If I don't have anything to report, you don't hear me. I've made an announcement in Discord earlier today about our re-opening. I have not logged in on Bitcointalk in ages, I just found this thread through a PM notice minutes ago. The project was not left behind, it was being worked on.

I will not reply here anymore. You can contact us through our official channels when we are back up and running (~2 weeks).

Best regards,
Banzai

Well hello there stranger, long time no see?
I must say, its hard to stay updated on my investments when i for no reason get banned from the official discord servers, but alright.
Good to see you back tho. Now i dont have to listen to all that crap with banzai secretly sold his exchange script to someone else blah blah blah anymore.
Its also nice that i no longer need to answer bunches of PM's from people i told to invest in your project, people that wonders wtf is going on?
So thank you for giving us a heads up after almost 7 months.
I guess my 100+ stakes per day period is almost over?  ::)

i cannot see scam here,
Amsterdex has suffered from a bug and the developers seem to be working hard to bring the exchange up again.
Amsterdex team has been active by posting updates and their domain is still active and display a maintenance text.

Until Amsterdex website is working and their team is active answering concerns i think is not scam like c-cex that closed and vanish with all the coins https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418700.0 or like Insane.exchange that website is still active but withdrawals not working and the team is not answering questions regarding the operations https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5157519.0

Can you update me the status of the accusation?

I will not reply here anymore. You can contact us through our official channels when we are back up and running (~2 weeks).

Banzai, I think this will be your best interest to response here coz a lot of us will not really bother to go to discored and have a chat there. I will have no problem to remove your tag once I hear from the OP.

By the way, if you have any update and need me to remove the tag based on the update then just quote me or mention my username. I will find the topic.

Well, seems the reports here were factual. Beware of this user

User BanzaiBTC pulled the exact same exit scam again, his latest version of the profit sharing exchange model, where nobody made a cent back from their investments.

He closed the Amsterex exchange down and kept the users deposits. He even had the balls to start a new ICO scam in the process of his latest shitcoin 'CHIP'

He ran an presale on his new pointless coin, super active as always and as soon as it was over, took all the money and vanished again. Shut down all discord and btct threads to try and hide what he does.

Real classy guy this one.
