Title: Coinshub or apps like that- how safe is it?

How safe is it to connect your Binance account to the Coinshub app or Coinstats?
Thank you!

I've never used these specific apps but portfolio apps usually just need read permissions. They are only able to get your balance and other information from your account.Just make sure you're not giving any API keys that serve for withdrawing or trading.

I prefer to manually add my assets in a portfolio app like blockfolio. This can be tasking when actively trading as it needs to be updated regularly.
Coinstats and coinhub has good ratings and are quite popular. But, endeavor to do your own research on their privacy policy and possible third party involvement in the storage of data. Ensure you do not divulge passwords or private keys.

IIRC they don't support trading activity, do they?
Last time I used them, I only need to input my wallet address or connect my API so that they can access the portfolio across all exchanges.

If you want to connect your exchange to those apps, made a new API with a limited capabilities, don't allow them to set trades or withdraw. In short, make it read-only. You should be safe, unless the API from that exchange is buggy.

I'd rather 'connect' it to my address tbh. They'll only function like a watch-only wallet which is great.
