My brother wants to invest 15000$ in one of the these coins but is confused . guys which According to have more potential for growth in the next bull run ????

The creator of BAT have does a quite good job in technologies but BAT don't have much to offer for the cryptocurrency community cause the token only used as advertisement payment, it also tackle fraud and opaqueness in digital advertising and was also built on the Ethereum platform why not invest in the mother (ETH) that give birth to it which also have the best community support.

ETH is the best option. Hope your bro have already invest in BTC.

Ethereum has a bigger potential than BAT as it is needed to participate in ICO. But now, some companies prefer IEO and ETH is a little less used. But ETH is still the best altcoin.

Ethereum has been in the game for so long, and even reaches as high as $1200-$1300 last 2018 so I don't know what potential you are still looking for.

So obviously it's a no brainer here, I don't have anything against BAT, but to ask which one is the better of the two? Definitely, ETH in my book.

Most people here might recommend ETH over BAT. That is understandable because ETH is the leading altcoin of all time. They may be right but if I were you, tell your brother to give a little portion of his planned investment amount to BAT, perhaps $1000 or more. BAT has Brave, a browser that is definitely a next generation product. And BAT is not just your ordinary token. It has consistently remained at the top 50. There is also profit in it for sure. And it is always better to diversify.

Does your brother has a final say with his choice? are these the very two coins that he's opting to? that $15,000 can already buy one bitcoin + he has an option to buy around 12 ethereum. That's a better combination than to stick his eggs into one basket. Diversification is good and those two coins that I've mentioned would be the safe and best choice ever.

yes i feel the same that ETH is best bet for next bull run, but then have heard BAT might be able to give 10x gains next bull run easily since I feel BAT is a new token and can rise I.e 0.3$ to around 3-3.50$ in the next bull run which is considered to be an achievable target. On the other hand ETH 300$x 10=3000$ which seems like a bit difficult . What do you think???? I might be wrong in term of speculations here but we are looking for considerably 10-20x profit in next bull run.

Or are there any other Altcoins in top 50 capable of 10-20x growth potential next bull run??

That’s not a bad idea at all but we are probably looking for 10x-20x potential altcoins out of top 50 and hence came up with BAT and did not considered bitcoin. Any other top 50 altcoins you suggest to consider about????

then you should stay away from altcions because the altcoin market is extremely risky and highly manipulated making it impossible for someone without experience to make any profit in it.

invest in bitcoin if you like and do that with a smaller amount in my opinion because of being new.

If you only need to choose one, I would recommend Ethereum since it's in the number 2 spot now and usually big and more popular coin will lead the bull run. Though BAT is also a great project, but try to analyze its's current value now and compare it to the price it has reached during the last bull run.

Both ETH and BAT are top good Altcoins. However, ETH is still used more commonly and it is more popular than BAT so ETH is a better choice. I think you can invest in both, even add a few other altcoin.

both are good altcoins,
for me i have $15000 and if i confused to choose between ethereum and BAT
i will split my money to invest in both altcoins,, $10000 on ethereum and $5000 on BAT

Ethereum might be a good choice rather than having to choose another coin that might not have potential, I think right now don't take the risk of cryptocurrency. must remain more selective and analyze research further before investing.

Great suggestions and explanation mate ethereum is the best to buy now now before too late because bitcoin start to become expensive. Amd to the OP I suggest if ypu didn't holding bitcoin put the half of the money to buy bitcoin and the half is invest in ethereum both are good investment.

BAT still need to development system to them project. I followed BAT on my brave browser seem they isn't seriously to developing it and still have a bug when i do for sync my browser. ETH is the best than BAT

As an investor, you must know how to diversify your capital.

For me, instead of picking one of those coins its better if you will just invest into both of them but a larger percentage of your money will go to ETH. Aside from this 2 coins, pick also top coins like Bitcoin and Litecoin to invest if you are a holder.

My more on ethereum and rest for bat or you can try to put bitcoin as another option too. I guess with the possibility of altcoin can give you more profit in short term and you should take wise decision by put less to the altcoin like BAT and put more on the major coin like ethereum and bitcoin.

He has not made the wrong decision, just that the amount he is proposing to invest in just one coin is too much for the risk that is always available in the cryptocurrency space. These two coins are very great for investments, especially on a long term investment project, but we still have other coins too that are doing perfectly fine and all have very sound and quality team/product.

If I was the one with such amount of money, I will share it into certain ration or percentage. In percentage, maybe 30 goes to bitcoin, 30 for Ethereum, and the remaining 40 for other potentials coins that are in the market. Most especially the top 15 coins that are in the coin market cap, they have very useful product and their strategies in developing the product has been perfect.

IMO divide it into 2 parts, 60% to ETH and 40% to BAT, also there are some good coins which can be considered. Personally, I'll never put all eggs in a single basket. Good Luck

OP has that plan of spreading that money for around 10-20 potential altcoins. But I think that's just too much for me, around 5 to 10 is already too much if you've been diversifying with a good amount for each of them.

Both coin is good to invest but they have differences because BAT use to advertisements to earn. Ethereum is more convinient to invest because most altcoin use eth for investment but of course we need to choose that really want to invest. We just need more knowlegde about that coin that we want to invest to avoid some loses.

ETH is by far the best option.
But if you like both, then put some money in both. If you buy mostly ETH, but then a smaller amount of BAT, then if BAT suddenly has a massive price increase you will then have a decent amount in both.

there are still many people who believe the price of ethereum will still fly high far from today. why why since BAT prizes are no longer running for my own browser users don't think BAT will still have much higher potential. maybe this is just my mind

if I were you, I would not be confused to choose between the two coins. I would invest 80% for ethereum from your funds. And 20% I would buy a BAT coin. From these two coins it has good potential. And I prioritize  ethereum karen ethereum still has a higher potential than now

You can divide $15.000 for both coin, I have no idea to say you only choose one altcoin for $15.000 it is very risky. You can learn how to make portfolio when investing in cryptocurrencies, because it is really needed. But if I were you I'll divide it for three portfolio, 50% I'll buy bitcoin, 25% I'll buy ETH and 25% I'll buy BAT. However, the best portfolio is you have to choose it based on your knowledge, you can't rely on to someone's suggestion.

$ 15k is really a great number. If your profit target is 30%, put your trust in LTC. It is currently traded at very cheap prices, with just over $ 116 at the moment.
You can buy it very cheaply before Halving happens. I predict that its price will rise to $ 145 in 3 weeks.

Ethereum has already a good reputation their platform is will definitely and it's been a while in the altcoin world but the movement is slowly but surely, in another hand  it is good to explore some  other altcoins to invest, to put another eggs in another baskets

With your two choices given, it is clearly seen that ethereum have more potential than BAT, because BAT is mainly for advertisers to monetize their content for even blocking their ads, while ethereum offers smart contract that gives born to many different assets. But you know you can invest on some new cheaper projects that may give great returns once bullrun occur for altcoins, I suggest harmony.

BAT is too much of a gamble to put a lot of money in. I still think ETH is vastly preferable - but is this the total he will invest in crypto? If so, then I would advise to get some BTC definitely, and maybe a few other top coins as well. I tend to have the majority of my crypto in 4 or 5 coins, with smaller amounts in more speculative stuff.

guys we have plans to hold for next 1-2 years and we already hold DBC,DGB,TRX,NEO,XRP,XLM so just wanted to add one more altcoins . WE have been holding since last 2 years . ETH was there in the portfolio in the past which I sold off later at a profit. Look like ETH can still give me 5x-10x in the next bull run and it is the best bet for now and will buy some BAT too ;D ;D

Only two obvious choices you must be choose ETH, this product has long been developing and has become ALT in the second top market with a huge market capitalization than BAT. Moreover the broad community and various attractive offers from a number of tokens under the auspices of the ETH, but why only two choices why not bring other ALT like LTC and others well I think fill your basket with various products.

Imho BAT is a coin for one service. But ETH is a full ecosystem. Maybe ETH has less potential for price growth shortly but for the long term as wide-applicable platform ETH have much more chances to be live and working than BAT

Until now, everything is still entrusted to ethereum, so I believe and certainly the same as what you say. many up to now still use ethereum as a payment or exchange which is indeed quite stable.

There are two coin you can trust blindly in crypto as they are king in their space i.e btc and eth . One is considered for payment , second of dapps , both of them are going nowhere. There price will continue to grow so go with eth as it is going to have pos implemented in next year , price will follow and eth have some big partnership with tech giant as well, so its safe bet for long term.

Since you are limited in your selection i would choose BAT rather than ETH as the team behind BAT has proved that they are capable of doing great things in the past, but you must look for other options too when you are looking to invest rather than having a limited option to invest, check out TRON, Cardano, Stellar, IOTA projects too as they also shows some promise with their development, but if i would trust a coin i will only trust bitcoin.

I do not understand what the question is, since ethereum is the second in the cryptocurrency market by rating.  This means that this coin is practically one of the most profitable for investment.

I think ranking is not one of the points that it will be the most profitable for investment, BAT has a lower market value compared to ethereum if the value of BAT rises in the area of $ 10 it will be more profitable.

I have a lot of trust in ethereum than anyone else. It is next to bitcoin in terms of volume, therefore it has a potential to grow better than other altcoins. BAT is a good token but I did not buy it because I lend half of my portfolio in bitcoin and 30% is in ethereum. However, I am planning to give the rest of my port in other altcoins too.

I do suggest to go for ETH, but your friend is investing a lot of money so i think it should be diversified like holding more bitcoin than any altcoins. After bitcoin the next coins people search is ethereum and from the recent bull run in cryptocurrency ethereum perform better than any of the altcoins and at that I will advise you and your brother to invest in ethereum. actually ethereum is not so good at growing. but if I have to choose I will definitely choose ethereum because even though in the downward trend ethereum will get a moment to pump. ethereum has very large community support, it will help raise the pump if the trade increases rapidly.

I think so too. The condition of ethereum is very good for me for now, slowly but surely to go to another month, I keep some etherum and I can use it. short or long term storage and can take advantage of it
