For the last few hours my instagram not able to post anything then I thought something problem with my internet connection then only found that friends got the same issues and while exploring it on Youtube lot of channels saying that server is down and our personal information hacked by Chinese people.

Is that real that is hacked or its down for maintenance?

Facebook is not down at all. I'm on it now. must be your part of the world with the problem.

Did you uploaded any posts like picture or videos on that time?

I just tested posting a photo it works fine.

I am not using facebook at the moment but instagram still down,even the stories can't be visible from any profiles.

Instagram and facebook work for me, so hopefully it's all been sorted out on your ends

@BitcoinSmith not only Instagram but Whatsapp and Facebook too were down yesterday, Facebook has confirmed there was an outage issue on their server due to which these sites and apps were down. There was no problem with our internet connection, which I realised after shutting and starting my wifi multiple times. No I don’t believe that China had anything to do with this, these are wild conspiracy theory’s you should ignore them.

Almost every user experienced it

What I noticed with those images that aren't displaying well. There's a tag for each photo, like '1 person', 'outside'. Facebook does really tag each picture and gives an AI data about whatever image we post and saves it to their database.

Looks like now everything is back because many channels claming that their social media accounts perfectly but not sure any information about this officiallly from facebook side.

nothing is more pathetic than all the corporations that put their destiny in the hand of a few company, when they pushed and help the twitter and other facebooks, and now are at the mercy... DIVERSIFY ! there are so many medias platform and creating giant monopoles, is so pathetics, specially when they return later against you because they are taken over by a technoaristocratic class despising the people as like little shit to be manipulated, controlled, and most importantly censored, to the point of even american congress people have to beg to not be wiped.

And as a normie, please, don't support your friends in using the triad (facebook, instagram, whatsapp), be more inclusive, there are many more software, open sourced or not, to not become the little slave of a single corporations, same for search and os...

It's literally from the side of facebook. Instagram is also owned by facebook and it has experienced the same issue.

Facebook wasn't down yesterday. They had some problems, but website was available to use. Mainly images and videos weren't available. I heard for the first time that Facebook was hacked by Chinese hackers. You should be more sceptical and not always belive what random guys on Youtube are talking. You have to check serious sources to be sure that information that you have is correct. It's not first and not last time when Facebook went down. And it's nothing strange - it happens for biggest websites too.

Clear update about what happened:

While updating their security walls there are some bugs occurred on their servers which caused different issues on their three different social media platform but they managed to resolve them very soon but they also let know how FB AI recognizing all of us.

glitch in the matrix. I really wonder if more people are trying to target Facebook now ever since their Libra announcement. Not only did they have tech issues but there was a mysterious package that showed up on their campus

Since I use facebook I can't experience that kind of troubles, can you give some link about this happen because if that scenario are true for its a trending to discuss and any other social medias.

Its not a big trouble for the normal or mild social media user but the people who are using it extremely got affected with the non availability of these platforms.
