Title: Trezor using a usb hub Post by: jm824 on July 04, 2019, 07:58:04 PM Can somebody tell me if the Trezor 1 can be use when connected to a usb hub? I've read (can't find where) that some are having difficulty and that it needs to be connected directly to a usb port on the computer. True?

If your hub doesn't deliver clean power, it could glitch. If your hub doesn't deliver clean data, it could glitch. For most of the stuff you do, a glitch won't mean much. Just unplug, replug and try again. If your doing a FW update though, there is a very narrow window that could cause you some very serious grief. To conclude, you can use it through a USB hub but why risk running into problems?! Connect it straight to your PC to avoid potential hiccups. |
