Terms of participation in the "Review Campaign"

- rank of your account on the forum should be ‘Full member’ or higher (members having accounts with negative trust are not allowed for the participation)
- reply us on this thread with the readiness to participate    
- if your account is admitted for participation (you receive a message from us), go to our official website ]https://[banned mixer] (https://[banned mixer) or its TOR version  mixtum5lbuslyow2.onion and choose “Precise Payment” option. You may send for mixing any amount (but not less than 0,001 BTC and not more than 0,03 BTC) and decide what is the exact amount which will be returned to the destination address. The rest of the BTC you send to mixer will be forwarded to the change address minus [banned mixer] commission (4-5%) and network commission. No coins of dubious sources participate in mixing, so those will be only BTC with good history.

Precise Payment Review

Just like last time, I went in "without reading" to see the experience as a novice user. I'm doing the same thing again, using Tor.

First: I would have expected to set the exact amount I wanted to receive on each destination address, and pay a certain amount based on that. I was wrong, this is how it goes:

This is actually quite good, as it still allows you (the site) to set a random fee (4-5%) without giving the user a chance to choose (which would reduce randomness).

I made a mistake entering an invalid Bitcoin address (caused by using 2 different receiving wallets), which was nicely caught with a red warning.

I'm now waiting for confirmation, I used a low fee but fees are low (https://coinb.in/#fees) so it shouldn't take too long.
Update: the transaction is confirmed already. Unfortunately, like last time, the website doesn't update and still says "awaiting confirmation" (even after reloading).

Things I noticed
1. I think it's crucial to send the exact amount in only one transaction. Many services only use each address once, and a second payment might not be detected properly.
2. The Letter of Guarantee doesn't show the amount that's going to be sent to the destination address, I think that should be added.

Update: 7 blocks after my transaction confirmed, the mixed coins confirmed on both receiving addresses. The transactions were broadcasted 22 minutes apart, but confirmed in the same block nonetheless.
Update:( I was wrong initially) the fee was as advertised: between 4-5% plus 0.15 mBTC.

Apart from my suggestions for improvement: without reading much it just worked as expected.

First of all, thanks for creating this service. We need such a services to protect our anonymity.

After entering the site, I clicked precise payment section below. There were 3 lines and I wrote the required ones on each line (change address, destination address and amount). And we started...

After the first confirmation my money showed up on the precise payment section and a bit later approximately 3 or 4 hours the system sent money to destination address and 2 hours after the destination address, my change address was funded by the mixer. IMO you can improve this and for increasing the anonimity, I understand you should  send a bit later the second one. But IMO max 6 hours is not great and you can reduce time interval.

I tried Precise payment mode for the first time. From my own experience, I think it can be useful. The user interface was good, I found nothing that could be difficult for the user.

After the other reviews, I decided to try. Honestly, I do not think users will face with unexpected troubles.  It was very good at usability. Although there were many features on other services, it was not smooth experience for me compared to the alterntavies. But, I have a brief suggestion, there was no direct pass on the site to the electrum wallet, and it could be a useful feature. The procedure went very well and I will use it when needed.

My experience using MixTum was extremely easy and straightforward as a newbie to mixing/mixers/tumblers. The process was extremely simple, and I was able to send / receive my coins without any issues. I am not a regular user of mixers/tumblers and so am not very familiar with the level of service and user friendliness offered by other mixing services, however my experience here was great! Precise payment mode allows you to spcecify exactly where your BTC is going, all worked flawlessly for me!  Unfortunately my original transaction took many hours to confirm due to a low fee, but once it was confirmed, within 2 hours I was sent back my coins.

Here is my review.


The mixing process itself went smooth and without problems.

However, i still have some suggestions for improvement:

• Google Analytics: Please don't use it. That's absolutely horrible. Especially for a mixer where user want some kind of privacy.
  
  
• Maybe remove accidentally pasted extra spaces at the end of an address (Your site shows '... is not  valid BTC address') to prevent copy/paste inconveniences
  
  
• You got a misspelling diretly under 'precise payment mode': It is anonymously, not 'anonimously'.
  
  
• Personally, i don't like the fact that i have to trust 2 parties (you and [banned mixer]). Is there no way for you to build your own mixing service ?
  
  
• The data is not encrypted between the customer and you, but between the customer and cloudflare. Please use your own certificate. They are literally for free. That's a huge loss in privacy.
  
  
• You make 2 receiving addresses mandatory, but do allow the same address in both fields. -> Either allow using only one address or prohibit the use of 2 identical addresses.
  
  
• To receive 0.001 BTC, i need to send 0.0013 BTC. But at the bottom of the page, if i enter 0.0013 BTC into the 'You send'-field, i get 0.00109 shown in the 'You receive'-field. That's somewhat weird.
  
  
• Even after my transaction got 10 confirmations it still showed 'Awaiting confirmation'. Maybe change that to 'Transaction has X / Y confirmations'. How many confirmations do you require ? If the TX has enough confirmations, change that to 'Transaction confirmed, processing..' or similar.
  
  
• Wasn't i supposed to receive 2 transactions? I have entered the same address in both fields and received one transaction. If the concept is to receive 2 transactions, it should also happen if i provide the same address twice.
  My bad, missed the 2nd transaction.
  
  
• Don't use Google Analytics. Really, just don't.

Thanks for the given opportunity to test the brand new mixing MODE.
Overall experience was excellent and smooth.

Advantages:
It takes only 2 min to put the change and destination address because of the simple user interface.
The provided letter of guarantee can help the user to fix any mistake if he forgot which addresses are used during the crypto mix.
Time delay increases the mixing anonymity but no idea how the timing was decided, maybe it is randomly.
Receive amount calculator is a good idea and it adds more accuracy/precision.

Disadvantages:
Mixing fee is higher than average(4% - 5% + 0.00015 BTC), this mixing mode is unpopular still and I doubt new customers will prefer to use this mode due to the charged fees.

For those who want more privacy and private connection we recommend to go to our website through TOR browser.

Indeed, [banned mixer] is built on [banned mixer] platform. This is a trustful service and neither [banned mixer] nor [banned mixer] have been ever suspected in scum activities.
If one wants to receive money after mixing only at one receiving address we recommend to use Mix My Coins mode. If only one address is entered the money will be forwarded to this address in two transactions.
We are sorry but sometimes the calculator may be inaccurate if tiny amounts are sent for mixing. We will try to resolve the issue  soon.
We checked the address you entered while mixing and there were two incoming transactions to this address: 0.0000928 BTC and 0,001 BTC

Sorry for late response. I almost forgot about this thread.:D So I tried precise payment option yesterday. In short, it is a nice and much-needed feature especially if someone is mixing funds to further use them to make specific payment from the destination address. A nice option to avoid leftover on the destination address.

I noticed the following things on 'Precise Payment' landing page:

• No detail of fees is provided on landing page. Not until we add the amount, destination address and change address that we are redirected to second page which provides the details of minimum amount to be sent inclusive of fees. I think it would be better if rough idea of fees is shown on first page.
• Bech-32 addresses are shown as wrong format.

How it worked?
So once I sent the amount on generated address, it took 2 hours to receive precise amount on the destination address. Site claims that it takes 1 to 6 hours to mix and send the amount, so it was pretty much satisfactory. I received change amount on the second address at the interval of 15 minutes. Hence, I would say Precise Payment option is working perfectly and the process is exactly the way as it is claimed on site.

Suggestions
I personally think that precise payment option somehow decreases the anonymity of mixing since the roughly same amount is received on destination address within next 5-15  blocks. It would be better if mixing allows to split precise amount among two addresses. So it goes like this:
<Payment Amount 1>
<Destination Address 1>
<Payment Amount 2>
<Destination Address 2>
<Change Address>

I don't know if it is possible as I am not much of a technical guy but this option will increase anonymity many-folds.

If is still available i would like to test and review and get the reward.

Finally got some funds to try this new method, so what I did is followed the simple step that they gave on their website it's just easy following that simple step and this time you need to provide 2 Btc address to receive your funds which are perfect for hiding your transactions.

Honestly, I like this new Idea cause I don't see a method like this from other Mixers. so far the transaction took not too long ago and I am very satisfied with my experience trying the PRECISE PAYMENT MODE of [banned mixer]

judging by the speed of transaction it's not that bad because if you really want to mix your coins you need to have the patience to wait. waiting to receive back your coins its kind of annoying but the more you use this method it becomes a norm to you and yet this is by far the only Bitcoin Mixers that I know that have this kind of features. I want You guys to try it too. and if possible post your review here.

Note: I got the testing funds from my own pocket money, not from Mixtum.

Mixing experience was gorgeous and it can't be simple than I imagined. Tor friendly site let the crypto user use the service at the safest level of anonymity. Sending BTC to the demanded address will be enough by the user side, rest will be handled by Mixtum precise mixing "machine". After getting 10 confirmation on the blockchain, the precise amount is sent to the pre-mentioned destination address. ][banned mixer] (http://[banned mixer)  is one of the best mixers I have ever used. Simple, clean, accurate, reliable. Sometimes, we saw the bad news about seized cryptocurrencies by mixers but considering the reputation of this service, I doubt this kind of stuff will keep your mind busy. The whole process took less than three hours which is way faster than the deadline of maximum six hours. The payment for destination address came first. After around an hour I have received the rest of the amount in the change address. The Precise Payment is very useful if someone wants to send an amount anonymous to any service.

There are some issues I have spotted and if those are taken care of then we will see better user experience.

Some suggestion to improve user experience:

A user will expect exact amount to the given address in one transaction (The Precise Payment). For example: I want to send a tx to a gambling site. The minimum to send is 0.002BTC for each transaction but if the mixer send less than the minimum amount in one transaction and send the rest using another transaction then I will face issue with the gambling site.

# The result page (result&mix=amount&address=) need to have real time data. It was showing "awaiting confirmation" even though my coins had 5 confirmation.

# The Exact Value & Fee Calculator (in the same page) is working only for 5 decimal number (with a large number it worked until 6 decimal number). Instead of 5 (6) decimal number, wouldn't it be nice to consider 8 decimal?

- Would not it be more useful if we have the Exact Value & Fee Calculator section in both mix page (mix=amount) and result page (result&mix=amount&address=)? Users might want to see how much they will get for the amount they were about to send. Depending on the outcome they can adjust the coin they will send to mix. Some people may want to have a different amount in their change address.

As mentioned previously I'm leaving a quick review for the site as I've recently used it.  

   I've used a few different mixers, this site locks down a few options to improve security and avoid common mistakes like setting an immediate return on the mixed funds.   Having the site determine factors raises variability across the population of users on the site and helps diversify away from common preferences that may lower security and quality of mixing.
   Having such a straightforward interface makes it incredibly straight forward and fast to use, its literally one page, no sign up, no emails, no login, no passwords just save the letter of guarantee when given for the duration.
  I saved this briefly and just sent it to myself encrypted via a 2FA email account of my choice but people can do whatever they want which avoids any common point of attack or vulnerability in the whole process.

  Like Loyce I used a lower fee to transmit funds and it did not clear the next block, its not required and the site will acknowledge the transmission and then wait for the normal confirmation times however long that fee may take, I believe the process is left open for 7 days to accommodate peoples personal setup and any delay in the blockchain so there is no worry or rush.
  The only brief hitch I had was to use a Coinomi wallet which defaults to a native SegWit address bc1 type.   This was the 2nd address required for the spare change part of the mix, I switched it over to compatibility format which makes no difference to me and that address I entered was no longer highlighted in red and I was able to receive the small amount of change fine.

 The main address I used for receiving my mixed funds was just a normal website address and as normal they give out the most compatible type and that worked fine.   Despite me using a low fee initially which delayed confirmation for a few blocks, the process of mixing was faster then I thought as it said upto 6 hours but most of the time I believe it would be closer to an average under half that time.   By not giving a fixed time, the security is raised and I believe that decision is correct for the best care of all users in the primary use of the site to retain anonymity.

At the bottom of the front page is a calculator to give a rough idea of the fixed and % costs to transmitting whatever amounts you had in mind.   Almost all the funds will go to the primary BTC address you specify as indicated by the calculator, two addresses are required as I believe it improves security and anonymity.   I can recommend the site to the general public for being so simple to use and 'doing what it says on the tin' :)
