Title: Boschicoin is using the abbreviation that is already been established by Bancor!
Post by: richryland on March 15, 2014, 02:48:02 AM
Boschicoin is using the established abbreviation BCC already developed by Bancor Coin.  They have been sent a Cease & Desist letter.  The coin cannot go anywhere since their blockchain was developed 3/3/2014.  Bancor Coin was developed 1/21/2014. Get out of the coin it cannot go anywhere.  The facts are simple the first coin to develop the block chain is the true BCC Bancor Coin.

Is either coin on a decent sized exchange?
Let the free market settle this....?

Bumping this since we have BoschiCoin listed on our exchange and CryptoRush also has it as BCC,

I've seen a cease & desist letter from bancorcoin and have verified its from a legal firm.  However, I still cannot find a single thread of information that says BancorCoin used the BCC acronym in the public domain before BCC.

Therefore I really have no clue how to handle this on the exchange.

THoughts?

Haha its not me, but I seriously have a PDF document that I then took the information from and googled to find a real lawfirm which I called and verified its legit.

Best part is I had another coin with acronym BCC email me to be listed yesterday, so 3 of them fighting it out!

Boschicoin ...?
Bancor Coin ...?

Seriously, a "real law firm" actually sent a letter?
This thread would be really funny if it wasn't such an important, critical topic affecting the future of all money.  :D

ps. Isn't it easy to search and see which coin used it first?

BoschiCoin is the first coin I can find that used it publicly in posts etc, BancorCoin used it in their blockchain but never actually told people the blockchain exists from what I can find.

This is the other one, http://www.bullcitycoins.com/

Is what WE have become or is what A FEW people have become with their greed?

This guy just threatened to bring his legal team after me.  I asked him to link me to where he released his coin name/acronym into the public domain and that at this time I will not list his coin but will change boschis acronym and the reply is below.

Quote
Boschi Coin was developed on 3/3/2014. Our blockchain was developed on
1/21/2014 and put into the public domain before Boschi. End of story.
It looks like we will have to take appropriate legal measures to insure
our Coins rights. That includes any coin or trading platform. Its too
bad we could have had a good relationship I was going to insure 20K
trades immediately after being listed although I’m beginning to think
you may have something to do with Boschi Coin, our attorneys will
advise.

Thank you for your time.

Same thing happened with Carpe Diem Coin. They just changed the symbol and said sorry. It  literally takes 16 seconds to change the symbol

This thread makes you both look stupid

makes me look stupid?  I'm just going to change the symbol, not sure how i look stupid when I didnt ask for this and am asking for suggestions on what to do so I don't have to hire a legal team for a bunch of hogwashness

That was uncalled for:
Blame the stupid coins.

If there wasn't 899 alt coins I probably would have been curious and learned about both these coins (all 3)

Take the high road. I meant your coins look negative, not you personally. You don't need a legal team. Just change the symbol (even if you were first), tell them to fuck off, and move on

Cease and desist letters are not set it stone. It's a way to say "my dad can beat up your dad" - It doesn't matter, don't be intimidated
