Binance has launched margin trading platform, Margin trading (https://coinpedia.org/news/binance-exchange-launched-margin-trading-service/) enables traders to borrow funds to increase leverage, providing higher profit potential than traditional trading.
Still, bitmex is the leader of margin trading.

The question is, will binance overtake the leader of margin trading Bitmex?

that's just the matter of time, this time bitmex still lead the margin trading but there was a lot of people still don't know about that, Once they will realize if the margin trade in binance is much better compared with bitmex and a lot of people will migration to the binance. that needs more time.

Marginal traders are those that sell big amounts of coins to get 2-4% almost everyday destroying the rest?? yes right? then Fu*k them.

I don't think so bitmex has already set a wide record on margin trading while binance is just starting with that feature.  There could be little bit of competition but I still don't think binance will overtake bitmex

I got to know about Bitmex some months ago and since then i have known it to be a good platform for margin trading.
All the different exchanges have areas in which they specialize in and that they are very good at, which you cannot take away from them.
Well, i do not know what Binance intend to do or the strategy you intend to employ on margin trading to become the best but presently Bitmex is the best at that.

What is introduced now Binance is child's play. The real risk and good margin is now only on the bitmex exchange. We are waiting for the launch of binance futures.

because, its depends on the binance management itself,,
if the margin trading on binance is better than bitmex, for sure binance will overtake bitmex on margin trading buddy

Binance is going to overtake every single aspect of crypto industry, because they are building their own monopoly. DEXes, margin trading, own token and the last but not least, the most successful exchange in general at the moment.

the real question here is - how much of bitmex trading is real ?
And only then we can consider the differences between the bitmex and any other exchange volume wise.

I think it is quite possible. Binance has been the biggest exchange ever since they started and everybody loves them, they are doing everything by the book and for the past 6 years I have been part of the crypto world I have never seen anyone figure out a way to not even worry about 7 thousand bitcoins getting stolen, they are super awesome about those type of stuff.

So, bitmex is big too but they are big because they are offering something others don't and their only rivals are small time places, when binance starts to give margin trading then bitmex will have to share some of its market with binance and eventually binance will start to have more and in this type of exchange the one with more volume will get the lion share of the deal and that would take less than a year for binance I am sure.

There's no concrete ideas for that matter now, only speculative thoughts came out. Whoever be the leader of margin trading, all I knew about Binance was absolutely taking more popularity based on everybody's feedback that gathered a lot of nice comments for their sustainable and safe trading environment.

this is possible but not immediately. if the margin trading on Binance will be more convenient and there will not be the same price manipulations as we have on Bimex, then, in that case, I think that in a year it is very likely

I am very glad that the launch of margin trading on Binance has happened, but the leverage is very small, so I think that for now Binance cannot become more popular than Bitmex

I think Binance has much better name and branding in the crypto sphere. They have more users and will be able to convert amateur spot traders into leverage traders.
With that, liquidity will increase and it will be a positive spiral up.

This will be a tough one; that is, on one hand Bitmex has been in existence for long thus having a wide range of users. While on the other hand, Binance has been growing its users base owing to the features it offers etc, thus by having its margin trading platform it will also attract more users.
Nevertheless, in my own opinion, Binance might find it hard beating Bitmex.

Binance sure is innovating and taking over almost everything in the crypto scene. They may take over it overtime but it won't be easy for them since Bitmex is known to be the leader on this feature and everyone knows about that.

This will depend on how satisfactory they are base on the traders that would love to margin..

I don't think Binance will be able to beat Bitmex in terms of margin trading. Remember Bitmex has been in it for long thereby having a very large community in fact can be likened to be a top margin trading platform. Although, Binance has a large community already but it's not in terms of margin trading. With Bitmex continuously improving their platform and Binance just coming up, it will be hard for Binance to overtake them.

I think binance has been making progress in its development. It now has two modes: the centralized spot exchange and the decentralized exchange. It also has its own blockchain. The margin exchange mode is different from the previous two. The transaction risk and capital flow need to be guaranteed. I think this attempt by binance will ensure its position on the exchange.

I think Bitmex will lead the margin trading market since that seem to be the only focus fro them. For Binance, whatever they do is being copied by other exchange and that sort of reduce their share of the spare. (e.g IEO launchpad is now a big business for exchanges like latokens), It will take a while for them to catch-up with Bitmex
