Title: i need help with my Trezor

Hi

I need some help.
I am trying to reach my Erc20 tokens on my Trezor but i cant send them.
I cant send them because of i think i need to update my firmware.
 So i can go to vintage.myetherwallet.com and i can see my funds there in my wallet but i can not send it.
And i would like to send it before i update because it looks like the device will be cleaned out when i update.

I do not remember that i have to get my seed when i have updated the firmware.
So is this normal that i have to go and get my Seed every time when i update the firmware?

I'm not using Trezor wallet but I think that is why you can't send your ERC20 tokens its because you don't have enough gas fee in order to send ERC20 token so you should have eth balance to pay the gas fee without ETH balance you can't send them.

A seed phrase is a backup(Series of words) where you can recover your wallet anytime when your wallet is lost or stolen.

According to trezor wiki below.
ImportantBefore the firmware update, make sure to have your recovery seed available in case you need to immediately recover your wallet. Some firmware updates delete the memory of your device. You can check the validity of your seed at any time by doing the Dry-run recovery

So before you update the firmware make sure that you have the backup seed just in case if something goes wrong after update you can recover your wallet with your backup seed.

I have ETH so that should not be the issue.

Lets say you lose your seed then you should be able to go to your Trezor device and send it to your other wallet to secure it. But it looks like that is not the case.

Not a trezor user but have you tried updating the firmware maybe that's the cause of the issue?

Waiting for someone who's more knowledgeable and possibly met this problem on trezor before.

you are right that is the issue, but if i do that i erase everything on the device, and i do not have the seed.

But like i said i have the password and i can open the wallet and see my funds and be in wallet but i cant send from it because then the site direct me into the upgrade.

My friend had the same issues from you(but not about sending coin/token), he had been lost his recovery seed and he didn't want to update the firmware because he scared that probably he face any problem later with the seed. If I were you recovery first the recovery seed before you upgrade the firmware.

Regarding sending the token, you must have extra ethereum for the GAS fee. If you don't have you can send it into another address.

I see no particular reason why older firmware that worked fine should suddenly stop being able to send. Perhaps it's a case of the wrong myetherwallet version.

I update mine and if I remember rightly I've never needed to reenter the seed after a firmware update. It's possible it may be required so I always keep it handy just in case.

It looks like that there's a solution to your problem, just follow the tips given to you above my post.

But if you are still doubtful with that, don't you really remember about keeping your seeds somewhere on your room or have written it on a piece of paper or any notes?

I did manage to move my crypto, i used Mycrypto and everything was ok.

I see that you acknowledged you don't remember (haven't written down) your seed.  There were mentions/suggestions above that you correct that but I don't see any posts from you where it is stated you are going to re-seed your hardware wallet.  I have Trezors and urge you to not assume the device will always function, or not get lost for that matter.  Multiple BTC adds up to a small fortune pretty quickly with today's prices.  Friendly warning.
