Altcoin Season Depends On This

This Chart shows you where and when could altcoin season start. We can clearly see the trending channel here. Between the green channel  lines. So this shows you the altcoin marketcap dominance. At this moment it's near the green trend line where it could potentialy bounce to the upside. Based on the long trend it's very likely that we see a bounce to the upside at the green trendline line area. (currently between 33.44 and 31.25 Altcoin Dominance. Right now it's 34.99 % Altcoin Dominance. This number could be slightly different from the coinmarketcap dominance so you should watch this chart for a potential bounce to the upside. (Altcoin Season).

I would like to say that it's still too early to tell if altcoins will bounce at this trendline or not. We will see that when it gets there, how it's gonna react. It's possible that it doesn't bounce and goes further to the downside. Just watch this important lines and react accordingly.

seems the support is strong enough, so i believe a pullback will coming on market capitalizations of altcoins,
and thats mean we will see a lot of altcoin spike up on price soon,

it looks very convincing in the movement of this chart like a mature correction process and a boming will occur.  I hope that altcoin will soar. Like in 2017 the trail in the future will soar altcoins. I think there will be a big miracle for this year

Technical analysis is often ambiguous.
In this case, it can be a double top or a head and shoulders with a large left shoulder. If so, the downtrend may continue to level 25.

Yes, but only cuz of amateur technical analysist. Until the head and shoulders confirms you must not think about that. And not all head and shoulders patterns work, only a few of them. It's on the traders interpretation how he's gonna react. There are amateur technical analysis and a good ones. There's hundreds of different TA interpretations on the same price action. Only the best ones suceed in the long term.

Cool. This is one indicator i have been looking at as well. Even the timing would fit on my plan, but something tells me that this can't be so easy. And then there's that not all altcoins will rise in btc or in usd. Some of them live this zombie half-life and never really die, and some of them just will be disappointments.

I'm still waiting for THIS!!, Come on Altcoin i already holding more than 1 years. I believe the Altcoin will start soon, The party should start now because with this bullish bitcoin momentum altcoin still not showing his movement.

I reckon, if bitcoin shows the market on how strong it is, the alts would follow its strength and the altcoin market will become as good as bitcoin. Though there will be times that it's only bitcoin that shows strength but afterwards, alts will show theirs.

It looks like true but i have an opinion regarding it and don't you see about how the price of bitcoin is not yet reaching the peak caused by the halving of bitcoin itself?
You can assume if that chart will be bounce at the top again but bitcoin still has a lot of possibilities to increase even more because the halving is not yet come. 

Yes, it's possible that altcoins don't bounce at this trendline and go more to the downside. We will see when it gets there!

This is a good information and a nice speculation to be begin with. I really hope that the altcoins will push further after this pause since it looks like that bitcoin is taking a break! I hope the down trend won't continue anymore.

Yes, Altcoin is now very cheap and will soon rise again. I think everyone should choose a few favorite altcoins and buy it now. Hold it and wait and see the results.

Well pullbacks such as these can really make great support in getting back up and pump again, But I guess Altcoin season will not last if there is an actual Altcoin season because I just think we only have the bull run season for Bitcoin and Altcoin is just in the shadow of this great cryptocurrency that when it pumps other cryptos will sure take a leap up as well, And that is my opinion regarding Altcoin season, It is all thanks to Bitcoin that are pumping most Altcoins up.

Thank you for the chart. It's really helpful many members on here so we can analyze by our skills. I hope that the altcoin season will start soon after bitcoin rise (or before bitcoin rise). That will be great news if the altcoin season happens because we will go to make a big profit from the altcoin and then from bitcoin. From that chart, yes, it is very close to see what will happen, but I still curious about what next that will happen.

I think that You are getting it wrong man, if bitcoin is the one that pumps all altcoins, how come altcoins below 100 has been in danger zone for too long, and how many of them have you seen increase other than the top 50 or top 100 in coin market, and probably that is the basis of your judgment.

There will still be altcoins season, and now that most of the altcoins in the market has bottomed again, I think this is the time they are about to start their own bull run, everyone is just waiting for the time that bitcoin will consolidate for the alts too to start surging. One thing you are right about is that altcoins season does not really stay much long in that market unlike bitcoin bull run, and ever investors needs to be fast when the season comes to quickly move our their investment.

That would crush some people, and my plans :D. As i haven't even started to figure out how long would it take to recover the confidence on alts.

Hopefully Altcoin can return to show good performance.
I am very happy with this good news, I also really hope this will happen soon, because there are many altcoins that I hold and have not shown significant improvements to date.

Maybe I'm not good at analyzing it, but from the chart you gave it now the altcoin has fallen and after that it's time to wait for the altcoin season to arrive soon.

sorry to disappoint you but you can not predict the altcoin pumping season with technical analysis. it has the name "pump" in it which indicates the manipulation that leads to these pumps and the rising season we have in altcoins. and that then indicates the unpredictability of this whole thing.

additionally what you are using here is market cap and the only reason why it went up last time was because of the dozens of ICO tokens that were being created every week with hundreds in a month that caused a fake bubble in the total market capitalization of the altcoin market and brought it up to unrealistic prices.
now the ICOs are dead and people can't create as much as 2017 anymore so no matter what happens you can not reach the same bloated total market cap as 2017. in other words you are looking at something that will never be repeated let alone be an indication of when the next pump is going to begin.

It didn't went up just the last time. It went up 4x times based on this chart. No one said it must go to the uper trendline. I also didn't say it must happen this time too. Follow this area and act accordingly.

that's a great chart and where it could lead is hard to tell at this moment due to certain factors that have entered the market, which were not there before. It would be great if this happens and we're close to altcoin season which I think we probably are than we were before. 

I think, it is possible that we are going to see a bounce back from here. In January 2018, Bitcoin did bounce back near this level to 11000 USDT. But after that just fall lower. But at this time, its value was higher. But i don't think that this time it will go back like in 2017. I don't really know if it will become altcoins season, but we should watch carefully what is going to happen.

yes, this activity is very time consuming. I have never looked at the market very seriously. I only make an alarm for all the assets that I have, and I will be prepared to see the market when the alarm I make sounds.

I am still a bit skeptical in general about TA in crypto, and particularly for altcoins. It does have an effect, but the thing I'm not sure about is how much of this is self-fulfilling - if enough people believe that TA signals are correct, and then they sell/buy accordingly, then the TA itself becomes the reason for the price change.

You're welcome! In my opinion we are at the important area where it could bounce. Ltc/btc already broke up from the downtrend channel. Many coins are out of the down trend (in satoshies) and they are currently testing the uper downtrend channel line. So this can be a decision time so watch it closely and react accordingly!

Maybe it looks like i draw this to happen very soon but if you look at this longterm yearly chart, it can take
quite some time before it happens. But my goal here is not to try to predict the date. When (if) it bounces from the trendline and 3 indicators show you to buy some coin, then you can react accordingly.

When it comes to altcoin predictions I don't believe in the chart to provide the genuine forecast of the market price or trend it poses cause the altcoin market is highly manipulated and a whale dump could change the status of the game. Therefore, I believe the decision make by a group of arbitrage traders is what will determine the altcoin market movement.
My advice to investors is to go for altcoin with good support, volume etc.

all we have to see is the growth of bitcoin first if it is like that. if bitcoin has returned the price back, we must be prepared to set up an altcoin that will soon follow it even though that doesn't necessarily happen. at least when bitcoin pumps then the altcoin will also move up even though sometimes it also moves slowly.

it's not even 100% correct and i have a different opinion about that, let's take a look at the main problem that created the dump for bitcoin and it's more to the fundamental attack. That plays even more than the technical chart. sometimes technical is important but it's not so important as fundamental analysis.

The charts give us a possibility of what will happening later, and it is our jobs to analyze deeply to find if that will really happen or not so we can find the solution to solve the situations. Maybe it will not happen, or it will happen, and if we are ready for the worst thing that might happen, we will get a way to get out of the bad situations.

We have a different think about it, seems like the alt season won't come for this year. The price altcoin tend to move down, although as we have been know the giant social media facebook has been coming and the whitepaper has been reading by a lot of people but I can't see the drastically increase prices from some altcoin. The libra coin will be include to altcoins, this thing should be used by many investors to buy altcoins but they prefer to buy bitcoin. So it will take a long time to see altcoin season maybe at 2020 or 2021.

I don't really think altcoins season can start from here. It will start after bitcoin finish to drop in price. I think it is just a rebound now. Because the movement of bitcoin seems a little like in 2017, but with a little less intensity. Ethereum movements seems to be like in 2016 compare to BTC. I suppose altcoins season should start on next year. But who knows, only people controlling the crypto market really know it.

If you look at the chart, it still didn't reach the bottom. But it did reach the first level of the trend area. So your statement is possible.

Not as hopeful, i believe in the logic, its always possible to build something from the historical charts.

Very nice analysis and chart but it is very hard to believe that altcoins market will pick up as it has been happening this time around. Many interests are coming into cryptocurrency and that interest is strong indications that most of the coins we have in the market may not recover and that affect the "altcoins season" we are expecting. Bitcoin dominant keep increase day in day out and funds that flow into it do come from the altcoins market especially selling with the belief that some of the coins have been abandon by founders and in future there may die!

currently there is no friend pump, only small market movements, and this is still normal, when bitcoin becomes cheap and the altcoin trade will grow again. when the altcoin goes down again, you will see how the bitcoin pump takes over the trade again.

If its not going to break the support, it could trace up again but there seem to have a high probability that its going to seesaw in this price range for a long time or it could dive to $7500. I'm not an expert but you see my point that having a low price right now will give more people rushing to buy and this should be what shall happen if whales are really going to manipulate.

chainlink 20% profit, ltc 17% profit and i even gave some breakouts signals here on bitcointalk, but you don't want to take any advice.

the chart was use pure technical analysis on market capitalizations on cryptocurrency
with trend line to catch the price is very nice, this is a part of price actions strategy
personally i believe if a pullback will coming in the near time on marketcap of altcoin  ;)

   Everything I need to know is that alt-coin season will start, when will it happen isn`t so important for me. It`s naturally for us holders to hope that season will come
soon, but this is how we build and learn to be patient, which is one of the most important skills to have when investing in crypto-currencies.
   Charts can be interpreted in many ways, it`s all about perspective. I`m looking for positive signs in developers and communities, from there I get better picture about
market than from charts.

For a long term investment and some altcoins projects, I don’t think technical analysis is that accurate, and even for bitcoin prediction, I would rather prefer to work with fundamental analysis than to work with technical, Looks at the news that bitcoin reacted to of recent, the tweet that Donald trump tweeted about bitcoin which appears to be negative and ended up causing bitcoin to dump.

Technical analysis never saw that coming, but people that follows fundamental analysis saw this coming and already played a very smart game by pulling out part of their funds, but now that the whole matter is dyeing down now, and bitcoin picking up, they have already bought cheaper, that is why I believe that those that uses more of fundamental analysis acts faster and accurately more than people that relies on T.A.

I think I have seen something like this on twitter but it seems most of the people have been waiting for long and know action, for me I don't think most of these Altcoins will rally again but we will likely see one or two pump just like Chainlink recent pump, reason been that people are not comfortable holding these tokens again

This is a global characteristic of the crypto market. For research of this indicator it is more correct to use the fundamental analysis, but not technical.

Most crypto projects are still not profitable. Many projects are fraudulent and will soon disappear, taking money from the young industry. Therefore, in the near future, the growth of the market share of altcoins is possible only due to the speculative component. During hype. When BTC rewrites ATH.

Altcoin season is pretty broad spectrum. There is a possibility that some of the altcoins rise in usd but not in bitcoin if the bitcoin rises high enough.

When can see that chart?

I have a little doubt now about altcoin season, it could not happen this year if bitcoin is playing the sideways game.
Everytime there's a good news it could only take the price up temporarily because bad news happens as well.

Just like the Libra thing, people already into the bullish trend, but the regulation concerns comes out and also the statement of Trump about bitcoin which is negative, so it brings the price to this level again.

It can be a good basis to start buying those coins that you fully supporting since there's real possibilities that the market will bounced back,
it's just hard to assume if which coins will be going to pumped first, traders with a good experienced can speculate and take the risk of
buying more of those cheap coins around the market they are willingly take the hold and wait for another  alts party to show up.

All of my altcoin decrease again because of this bitcoin movement, tired waiting this altcoin season. But sometime went i already sell, the party started right now still hoping for my shitcoin & altcoin to backup again.

Provided you are sure that the altcoins you made investment in are not dead already, keep waiting, the waiting will be worth it, this is just like 2 years that all coins went into the bear market, only bitcoin has recovered, while altcoins are yet to and they are still on the verge of making their own uptrend too.

Remember that there was once a time too that some investors of bitcoin got so fed up with bitcoin when it was released, and years keep counting without any improvement, some even threw their paper wallet away, while some lost their password out of nonchalant attitude, it was just a day that the whole thing turned around and bitcoin started increasing, you can imagine how those who waited benefited, I am sure that one of these days, stories of altcoins will change too.

I'm waiting patiently for this market movement to take place but no one knows when its gonna be,for now bitcoin is stable at 9-10k but for how long actually?

I think now is a good time to buy and hold it for 5 months. Because I believe that in January of 2020, the coins will grow strongly.
But I was still quite puzzled because the last few days, the market was red and there was no sign of recovery. we should only divide the capital to buy each time period. we call DCA, I believe prices are still down this week, so we should not all in now.

Waiting is only the thing that we can do right now. The altcoin is not increased higher because bitcoin is down and it's happening over and over. We need to be the more patient and only hope that this will be over soon. We don't know what will happen with bitcoin in the next hour although we read so many predictions that bitcoin will be increased or decrease after this, still, it is difficult to know the right situations in next minutes.

You have to remember that prices have nothing to do with this chart, and according to it we still have some time. Btc might as well drop once again and alts with it before we go up.

I already expected that since Bitcoin has made sudden changes this past few weeks after dropping to $9kish. I believe it is time to buy and accumulate more Bitcoin if you have extra fiat in you so that when the time of bullish starts you will just have to sell some of it while waiting for another dip to buyback again. Charts like this are just giving a hint of what could possibly happen in the future but it is not really that accurate at all, so we should still do our own way of making a prediction.
