Popular crypto expert john McAfee says that Altcoins like MTC and Apollo (https://coinpedia.org/news/altcoins-like-mtc-and-apollo-will-rise-10x-says-john-mcafee/) will rise 10X and also says that despite the fall of the bitcoin price he is still positive about his $1 million bitcoin prediction.

What's your take on this?

Hundreds thread said john mcafee was predicting bitcoin gone to the 100k, 1000k or even 10000k and that dude is always dreaming. docademic looks a very bad thing at this moment.
he said 10x because he was holding both apollo and mtc. that guy can't be trusted.

No offence but taking his word is a little bit risky, I think he just using his popularity to make some hype so that people will blindly invest on those coins he mentioned. just be careful following this kind of opinion or statement because you could lose all of your funds by blindly following it. let's stick to the rules when investing.

First Learn the project see if they really helping something to create a better world with the blockchain technology and see if their team is really working on a development to improve their project.

You will also find some people that promoting some coins but there has no development or update with their project. that's why we really need to investigate and learn it ourself in which project are we investing our money.

John McAfee is a fan of crypto and I respect that but his speculations are always over exaggerated,i won't rely on any of his specs if I were you,I know privacy coins have good future but no one knows what tomorrow might brings.

like the one before, John Mcafee always gives a non-basic analysis, but in my opinion, it won't happen, but if you believe him, buy some mtc and apollo but look at the end result later.

I find these pronouncements by influential figures to be quite irritating. It's difficult to know how much of any subsequent price effect is due purely to this person having made the prediction. There is an element to this stuff that is self-fulfilling if a lot of people take action based on it.

Every CEO/associate of a particular project will want to speak good about that project. I followed Apollo right from the very beginning before they made John MCAfee CEO or something can't actually recall since I'm no longing following the project. John picked interest after Apollo had some misunderstanding with hitbtc exchange (using appollo's word) they said, they got scammed of exchange listing and since John's team was investigating the exchange they partnered and the rest is history.

All I'm saying is John words are highly influence by the fact he's a part of the project he's predicting a 10x for so you should be very careful also this kind of prediction isn't new coming from him as he ones reviewed he was been paid thousands of dollars for his weekly altcoins call of the day back in 2017 who knows if he has just rebranded that scam of his and his recent call of 10x is the latest.

Do not listen what he says. He is like Harold. He will say and do whatever he is paid for.  No spine.

McAfee is a famous shiller in this crypto market, no one is surprised by that. I remember last year he also shilled for MTC, and his price has increased 10 times after that, so I think his prediction will also affect part of the price of MTC and Apollo now.

MTC it's the docademic project that he became the advisor? It's not a surprise if he has comeback to what he did before by tweeting altcoins that he thinks will reach certain rise and it's more of advertising because he gets paid with it.

I would like to see bitcoin reach $1 million but his prediction of it within few years I think won't happen. And that's why with his opinion about altcoins, it's much better not to rely to everything what he says.

McAfee is not a "crypto expert", he is a crypto opportunist who is seeking to make the most amount of money he can. he doesn't even understand how this market works and has probably have no idea what the coins he advertises are!
it is not a secret that he actually gets paid to advertise these coins and he has no stake in any of them since he is just the advertiser who gets $$$ to spam about them.

my take?
sometimes the shitcoins he advertises get pumped since that is the aim anyways. but it is still pretty risky to act on something a pumper advertises publicly so you have to be very careful.

not so surprised and everyone here knows about him. it's natural for him to say that, because he is a advisor from MTC and Apollo, but what about the other projects? no news, updates, and developments, sad.

today john McAfee says that this will be the year for privacy tokens- apollo, monero & zcash

Let's hope he is right,I'm still waiting for the prediction result of 2020 maybe he will have to cut off his dick as he said  ;Di can't wait,but I kinda like the guy for supporting crypto at least,how many popular men like John McAfee are supporting crypto like he did? They are very few

I don’t know which of the MTC you are referring to here, because it is not so clear to me since coin market cap has two records of MTC, there is MTC of docademics which I did their ICO, and there is MTC of mesh network, but I will have to comment based on the MTC I am familiar with till you clear it out, saying Docademics will increase 10x I not good enough for me at all, because docademics was far more than that when they were released.

MTC had about 0.3usd before it got the biggest retrace that has now made it to even fall far below ICO price, and for us that bought at peak, we need more than just 10x for us to be able get the capital and also get profit. I am sure that Mcaffee must have invested in those two coins,and that could be the reason for his support.

That guy is crazy don't trust him lol he is a major Shiller who earns big money at our expense. I previously invested in a few of the project which he was endorsing and sadly all of those went to shit and now I just stay away from any project which he say is good lol.
