You do not automatically double or triple your money.
Greed is a tool that has been used through various medias. We could also report suspicious accounts and websites, j found this link: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/ I believe it comes with a warning flag similar to what we have with the trust flags. Sort of inevitable in hindsight considering how many people try to scam with crypto, I've just never thought about it much though because I usually just block scammers as soon as they add me. I also agree, common sense protects you from 99% of the common crypto scams out there. Sucks that many people just don't think very much about the things they do.
Just read through the comments of the Reddit thread about this, seems some people have looked up the address of the scammer and the guy only had $3 in his/her wallet, and that scammer has now lost 33% of his funds! These scammers are always looking for dumb victims and they are too stupid to deal with people like in this story. In past I liked to "play" with these scammers and tease them, unfortunately I don't have enough time to do that now. It's always fun to see how desperate scammers sometimes can be. Actually I don't support scamming scammers, but this story is really funny and it's just $1.
