What you prefer if you have to choose only one choice, invest in bitcoin or invest in new project?
Note that no one can guarantee new project may success.
And if you to  take a decision this days.

I personally do both. 90% in bitcoin, 10% in altcoins that I hold and I could profit off in the short-mid term. The safest bet is to just stick to bitcoin though, because it should be risky enough in itself, and if you put money into altcoins without doing research, you're putting a lot more unnecessary risk in putting money in altcoins.

A huge factor is how long you're planning on holding.

Also, a third option would be fine. As it's mostly not one or the other. It could be both.

Too vague to answer. My real investment depends on various factors including the purpose of the project, the idea, the team, their goals etc...
If I would invest in a new project then it has to pass all my preconditions in order to make an investment in it.
If I find anything that gives me a doubt about the project then I would prefer not investing in it and bitcoin is always my first priority.

had been holding already some altcoins but these days?i think i don't wanna risk my money in new projects because most are really not in good shape or even in scamming plans.in past i love investing in new coming projects and i use to profit but today?i guess things are different

i will vote purely for  bitcoin investing.there's no other way to keep safe our money but putting in most secured coin and that is bitcoin

If I must choose one from the options you provided above then I will go for investment in bitcoin over new project which yourself have confirmed that is risky this days. I choose Bitcoin investment because it has greater future which everyone can see and if you have huge sum of money then short term investment in Bitcoin will at the end earn you huge amount of profit.

If you can do both why not? you can not get wrong about investing a thing with Bitcoin because it will always be the number one source of investment and the life for the crypto trading platform, you can not be wrong in giving your 90% of share into Bitcoin and always take a good look at its movement properly because your only enemy is yourself for giving emotional feeling towards your hold coin,

While with a new project you can never be sure if a project is good or bad unless you try it, The risk is there but in winning a jackpot one must take the risk in fulfilling it because you may never when a project becomes successful.

Currently I just feel relieved with the certainty of what Bitcoin is, new things will have certain risks. However, you can count on new potential projects like Facebook's Libra.

I will prefer for buy bitcoin. I can't trust new projects lately due huge dump and scams. Invest on bitcoin likely you are going to lose your fund. Because even new projects being successful but after listed on exchange token/coins prices are dropping hardly. On the other hand if you buy one bitcoin it will be always one bitcoin. So choice is your, you want lose your fund or you want to hold bitcoin.

Bitcoin is currently the hottest cryptocurrency to either invest in or trade daily in. Looking at the currently state of the crypto market, I will prefer to invest in bitcoin rather than any new project. With bitcoin, you can easily make a profit within days and withdraw your profits without having to wait for IEO or  ICO to be completed as in you investing in new projects.

Invest in bitcoin is the secure way, but a lot of people thinks they could get more profit in other altcoins (new projects) because since their value is bitcoin based then if bitcoin hoes up this altcoin will go up too, and if the altcoin goes up too it would be a double win. Then the problem is when bitcoin goes up but the altcoin goes down because there is where you see the bitcoin holders making money while you lose it by placing the wrong bet.

It is very risky to invest in new projects, I would say (no offense) that investing in new projects is how to play the lottery... look at all altcoins what was the price they had 1 year ago and what is their current price and look It's your real level of adoption in the real world and don't forget to look at the high level of competition that these altcoins have.

The current market is very competitive and full of copy/paste, if today some new project comes up I bring something new, tomorrow comes another copy/paste project that dispute the market with the original project.

That's why I don't think good to invest in new projects because they are very risky.

The possibility of the new project succeeding in time is actually very rare because most of these newly lunch projects are full of scam, most at time they come with a nice projects but haven the attention of scamming investors of their money, don't forget the ICOs days, even at this days of IEOs there are still scamming,so, I would rather chose to invest in Bitcoin than in a new project.

If you mean a new project like ICO - NO. If it's some kind of IEO - maybe. Anyways, I prefer investing in btc and some top alts. 70% of my portfolio, however, is btc.

Bitcoin or trustworthy projects.when ico ends bounty hunters sell and price dumb so fast and its hard to back to ico price.now its ieo's time but its bullshit and impossible to join because of binance

Now I have realized that new projects has in the long way round become "shit" projects and that investing in those coins can cause you to loose a lot of money. So for now what I'm doing is to make sure I invest into BTC and I'm making it big time.

Everything is relative.Many of my friends at IEO on the exchange Binance earned a very impressive amount.You all know that almost all projects showed at least X2 from the original price.Based on this, we can conclude that investing in new projects is more effective than investing in bitcoin.

I'm certain of investing mostly to bitcoin but if the project is catchy in a way that it's progressive and there's usecase for it then why not? I might take a risk for that project but I wouldn't go full extent for that project.

Bitcoin is already established so it's much safer to invest on it. Most of the projects are risky and it's not for everyone anymore because before investing, you need to be responsible and keep researching and checking the updates for that project.

I always go for a sure investment especially with bitcoin because I don’t want to lose money. If I saw a good new project then I also invest on that because they said its not good to go all in with bitcoin, i also believe good new project will still grow so do invest on both but hold more bitcoin.

There are some pointers you need to consider first - ability to take the risks, capital, patience. As you already mentioned, new projects don't have any guarantee that it may be a success in the future, therefore, there's already a risk the moment you put money there. You are completely no idea how far that new project will go so everything is zero.

On the other hand, bitcoin, a risky investment too but worth to put a shot way better than others. And in here, it's on our own hands how to make these BTC grows overtime unlike in a new project that you need to wait for great volume before you can play with it.

Asked yourself:
-how far can you take the risks dealing with these new projects?
-can you accept that once you put money on these new projects, you must consider it a loss?
-are you willing to wait for a long long long time for this project to become a success?

To answer the question, I will only choose BTC as a priority. I will consider new projects "if I saw something special" on which I can't literally say here what exactly is that.

If you look at the market place and the projects that started with big plans mostly every projects came crashing, some crashed because they are not getting the required license to fulfill the projects and some started as outright scams, so this is not a viable factor to invest with the promise of a good project.
Bitcoin created this entire market and if you are looking to profit trading in bitcoin you can make a good profit, investing in projects is the biggest risk as majority will turn to dust in due time and you will not find projects that stand the test of time in this market, so my advice is to never test those waters with your hard earned money.

New projects appear a lot but it seems that most of them cannot convince investors to participate. Currently, when the market is quite stable, I think investing in BTC is a good measure. Investing in new projects has great risks, but we are not sure that it will be listed somewhere.

I believe you somehow know the answer to the question because every altcoin market are highly manipulated and 95% of the new project didn't provide its investors the require a future promising expectation while the previous market trend posed by bitcoin whenever it halving is just a few months away proof bitcoin to be the best option.
