My personal information is not worth a penny or a few bucks :D. We are in the internet world where any personal information can be sold anywhere at any price and here you are. Sounds great?? For newbies who doesn't have any care with their personal information then it is great for them but for me, NEVER!!!! .

A platform like this is going to be dead really soon. Especially if and when Facebook or the other media giant allows their users to get paid when their data is being sold.

There are too many challenges for this platform to succeed, and the token is not really needed. But this idea of getting paid your data is not new, I know at least 2 projects which also claims to do the same thing. They're now having difficulties to find users.

I don't agree to share personal information Passport, NID, driving license or personal address because of scammer likely use information when scammed.

I was curious then I looked at the coin in the https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/wibson/, but it's volume is not attractive.
This isn't a new coin as it was listed last Feb. this year based on the above link, but the value is going down so I think there's nothing extraordinary about this project.

I do not think anyone would be happy to share their own data in exchange for your shit-token that may crash at any time.
Many social networking sites violate our privacy but the solution in their view is to pay you for some currencies like Libra.
Creating a new platform will not change the concepts.
The best solution is to watch some decentralized ads as Brave browser does.

You can decide not to sell private data, which is cool. But there are some data that is not necessarily private you can earn with. The bitter truth is that, most of these private data we wouldn't like to disclose to anyone are being used and sold by the big names like facebook without our consent and practically nothing accruing to us and that's what wibson is trying to change. One thing I like about wibson though is that none of your data and information is touched without your consent.

I don't understand how people think about selling their data freely. Even though it concerns all their privacy, only for the sake of the money a few cents are willing for it all. Platforms like Wibson are willing to pay for every data, while there are rules about protecting privacy, well I think they have violated them by offering a certain amount of money.

I have seen the platform, it seems dead there is no interested person. Certainly no one is willing to sell their privacy data to that platform. The coins they launch will become shitcoin as soon as possible.

There will be people who would like to sell off their privacy for peanuts and that is why we see services like that, i have seen people here in this forum selling their service to sell verified accounts, either they are selling their own privacy or they are doing something illegal to sell those services here, Brave browser is a good option if you are ready to view some advertisement for tokens rather than forced ones.

What a dangerous proposition! You will install an app to a smartphone and all your data will be flowing to the broker who sells it to the data buyers for targeted market purposes and what not and you get paid a commission for doing this!

It's indeed shocking to see people are actually thinking this is a good proposition and thanking OP for sharing such nonsense and dangerous websites! Probably they will understand once there personal accounts will be hacked and used for illegal means!

There are chances that many will be going to jail for the crimes they do not commit just for this.
I doubt if anyone who understand the true risk and importance of personal data will be foolish enough to use this platform.

KYC was used for avoid a cheating went involved some campaign/airdrop.

KYC problem was alraedy many to discuss, Still dont know what the best other solution to solved the problem without doing a KYC.

Selling your personal data is too risky for a small amount of money, you might not see the effect of that but eventually if something bad happen, you’ll regret it. Big companies sold our datas with corresponding regulations, so I’m confident that I’m still secured not unless I decided to sold my identities. Don’t change your security for a small price.

I just flipped through people’s comments briefly before coming back to reply yours and I see that many people are saying cools things about this, so what is all the hypocrisy all about, when most comments that I have seen are interested in selling their data for money without caring what the buyer would do with such data.

So KYC was really not the problem of people, it is because they have not been able to monetize the data for them, so we need to quite fighting this KC thing and Facebook privacy issue because we are the problems of ourselves, I do not see why I should sell my data for anything, not for any token, privacy is privacy. What do I know that the person buying the data will do with it, so I should just sell my data to them and then take token for a big damage that will be done to it later in future.

Selling your data for tokens or bitcoins is not very good, since it is not known who will use them.
You run the risk of appearing on the site of liars as one of the developers team and what do you think who the police will look for if investors are deceived.
And as regards personal identification, I think this contradicts the whole law of cryptography on the Internet, everyone should be anonymous if he so desires.

And you need to deal with fraudsters with smart contracts, for example, a contract is created on the site where it is indicated that the token developers promise profit to the investor within 2 months if this does not happen, the money is returned to the investor, somehow.

I just want to warn people not to make use of this services for few bucks. Your privacy must be worth of your life as people may misuse your data for any illegal purposes which may lead to big disasters too. So, think about possible consequences before rushing and falling greed of pennies. (Probably this topic might get deleted or moved to intended section.)

The hungry platform not only pays sellers little and meaningless prices for selling their data to them. they went as far as running a bounty campaign to promote their data services. participants are paid as low as 2usd for promoting wibson token. horribly yet they claimed that they sells data.

Once you decide to sale to one company you don't know what these guys can do with it and I wouldn't trust them with personal information which could be passed on to other companies in need of this same information without our permission even with non disclosure terms....because we know this is all for show but behind the scene it's a different story.

I thought it was this same data selling thing that made Facebook be in debt of 5 billion dollars to government which they have now paid, so what happens to people that personally now sell their data, would they not be taken too lol? I really don’t even see any point listening to any project that is requesting to pay someone to sell data to the, how can they just come to make such request without explaining exactly what the intend doing with the data that is being sold to them.

It is very necessary we are careful of whom we even share our data with even if big money was involved,  because we could find out that the  information being given is used in a very terrible places like Iran, Iraq and many more where we may be linked to terrorism or so.

Isn’t is Ironic? People are saying no to KYC because it’s this and that, it will just compromise your information and might be used in money laundering and here you are sharing about data trading? The company who facilitates date trading might be a well known company but it is still you data you are giving, how confident are you that there are no leaks of your information? I just want to suggest think twice or thrice before giving your information because you might just regret it in the future.

If I am going to look at it, literally sounds great to hear. But practically when I checked its volume at the coinmarketcap
I was disappointed because the volume its not good to me it was only ranging from 0.3BTC though they listed already on bittrex and bitforex
but still not attractive to me.

Selling your personal data is not a good idea but in today's internet world no data is secured. If you remember facebook has been caught selling user's personal data to third parties. If some one is paying good amount to it then this can be a good deal. I have experienced many online apps regarding small loans asking for KYC, so everyone is sharing their private data there. It will be not a new thing if your personal information is with many online brokers, financial institution of any other person/organization. If someone is paying good amount then sharing private information may become a good deal.

As far as I can see at bittrex, wibson is one of many new tokens in bittrex, and in that exchange, the volume for that token is not too big. Maybe they need to wait for a while until the bull run comes. But that is an interesting idea to sell our private data to the buyer, and so far, this idea is not attracting too many people because I think they can get the private data in the black market. But I wonder how many people will sell their private data for making money from the website because another third party can easily to sell people's private data.

Lol, I never ever sell my data just for a few bucks. Are you not aware of the future consequences that it may give to you? I've read some article about how KYC selling works inside cryptocurency I just don't remember where did I read it before but selling our personal data is not a good idea. This is so dangerous, I don't think the users are aware of their rights by using this software.

Can't call great idea of selling your data. If it happens from facebook and other companies, doesn't mean you have to expand knowledge around you and make it available for as much people as possible, you should try to limit that instead of spreading and speeding up of this process. Well, it's your job what to do with it since it's your and only damage will come on you, it's sad but people really don't care about their data, only easy money is what they want.

Its so scary to sell your information, specially if you are about to send your passport information to other people. This information can be use in illegal or evil activities.

There would be no guarantee and this is the difference where people who do sent out their documentation doesnt have an assurance
for their information to be completely safe or being stored up.Leaks will just be known after,so theres no way to know on whats happening behind.

you said it right. a token that keeps plummeting in the market is been offered to people to sell their personal data. it means that people do not value their self anymore. what people are willing to do for the sake of Money.

Many of those people are basing it on the argument that even if you don’t personally sell your data, there are people that would sell it for you which we can see in the case of Facebook, but one thing that needs to ring bell in their ear is that it is better for someone to use it without their consent than for them to use it and which they can even make money if they find out that someone used their data illegally, they can sue  for money, but to destroy one’s self because of the little token, it is really not worth the risk.

I remember some months back that there was this website, that offered to pay people$30 for giving their data, and Oh my God, people were actually giving it and I wonder if the level of poverty in the world has gone that deep to sell what can kill one for just $30?
