They just create some kind of hype once or twice in a month or week and make their profit with fake exchanges and forget about it, I am talking about the developers of those kind of altcoins which are not performing and these are totally waste for crypto market and also creating confusion for new people who are entering in crypto world so what's your opinions. Useless altcoins must be remove from crypto market if it happens then it would be great and very beneficial for crypto world.

These kind of alts will eventually die because they will have no volume anymore or it will start to plummet. And when that happens, traders and investors of these altcoins will start to dump it or sadly if they manage to sell it late and has no buy orders anymore, it's bad for them. Because they will lose their money together with the death of that altcoin.

And the exchange where that coin is listed will eventually delist it.

If you are going to remove all the shit coins from the market, then you will be removing almost all of the coins from the market as majority of them are shit coins and created to make money from thin air and these exchanges are listing them because they are getting paid to list those coins and if there is a good trading volume they will get that revenue too. If people are not trading shit coins and if the volume drops the exchanges will remove those coins eventually.

Having a central authority to decide that is against all cryptocurrency fundamentals.

       Some of these are not seen in the market already and this remaining alt coin which are listed in exchange with no volume and not moving anymore , I think these will be remove in the exchange someday .

if there is a way to tackle fake project it will help crypto space alot but for now there is no solution for that,investors are the ones that needs to be extra careful not to fall victim to scam projects

The decision must taken by the exchange site but not all of exchange sites are always maintaining its exchange site by try to filter which is a crap coin and try to remove it from there. Useless altcoin must be removed but the party can do that is exchange site the community can give a pressure for that thing to happen.

there are many like that and finally there is no price at all, not infrequently we also take their alt programs like treding and other competitions, and buy alt at a low price, to invest in the hope of selling at high prices but after competition and buying, it turns out the price  alt has no movement at all and finally alt must be removed from the exchange, this is my experience.

There are many such cryptocurrencies on the market, the team does not exist, no one maintains the wallet, but there is still exchange, saying that there are still people trading, so the exchange should do something.

majority of the coins and tokens on the market are shitcoins it wont be easy to remove all of them and many exchanges are already delisting these bad coins & tokens because of lack of volumes and shitcoins always die sooner or later

I guess the life of an alt all depends on the exchanges where it was listed because that's the gateway for investors like us to continue trading thus making the price trend still fluctuates or active in other words. Once each and every holder of such alt finally dump their holdings and no one wants to buy again then I think that's the time when it will die. I also have a shitcoin which I get from a campaign during my newbie days and when I try to look for its name in Binance (long time ago also) it wasn't there so it's fair to conclude that it was died already.

Maybe we can stop those but you know cryptocurrency is really strong enough to removing all of them time by time. Who's have good project and also manage with good will keep on market. Its about struggle. We should more detail to choose. Natural selection will kick shitcoin out.

But during this time, a lot many of the cryptocurrency users will make their investments in them, and once the dump starts, they will lose money. The promoters are intelligent enough to dump their coins close to the peak prices. Since the pump is initiated by them, they know about the suitable target to sell the coins. The other users don't have this advantage. Most of them will either sell before the pump, or after the dump has started.

This has happened to a large number of crypto users, and even I have lost huge amounts in these shitcoins, starting from 2014. The coins in which I made my investment either turned out to be scams, or they lost their value very quickly due to a lack of uniqueness and purpose. Quark (QRK) was one of the coins in which I made investment back in 2014. Back then, the price was around 27,000 Sat per coin. The current prices are 59 Satoshi per coin, which represents a decline of 99.8%.

Only one hope that i needed to see the regular voting to delist a crap coin and i think that will be a good idea to decide which is the coin that must be removed based on the result of the voting.
What you can do is only to send a complain to the exchange site about that shitty coin but you have no power to delist it and that's why this feature will have needed as a real implementation from your idea.

I think we need to make the distinction between coins that are not performing because they are pointless shitcoins whose only real purpose is speculation, and then those other coins that are actually good solid projects that aren't performing because they are new to the market and need time for development to progress. It's not the case that everything that must shoot up in value immediately. Some thing are more long-term bets.

Exchange is delisting it, and members here are posting development of those coins, it's really up for investors to check if they are holding shitcoins in the market, coins without development will eventually die no need to post that they should be removed.

scammers can can also create a fake exchange and they wont de list thier own scam coins  . you will only be shock once their exchange have been shut down because of the numerous reports or they will shut it down by themselves if they already accumulate enough funds for thier scamming  . other coins can still be delisted on bigger exchanges if they arent getting enough volumes  so dont worry  . its our responsibility to check what we buy to ensure that we only support the worth it projects  .

it's difficult to eliminate bad altcoins from the market. as long as people still hold it will continue to be there. anyway what criteria are used to classify good and bad altcoins. if only based on the price of falling, I think it's still not strong.

well then the altcoin market would be empty starting to remove the top 10 altcoins first because they are the most useless coins in this market that get the biggest hyped and pumps of our time.

the problem with this market is that people do not care about usefulness of altcoins. all they care about is how much profit they can earn from them so the less usage a coin and the more pumps it gets the higher popularity it will gain.

if you want this to change you shouldn't start changing the market, instead you should start changing people and the way they see this market. as long as it remains a milking cow for bitcoin investors to increase their bitcoin and care not at all about technologies then the shitcoins remain dominant in altcoin market.

It is just the people, everyone can make their most shadiest and shittiest altcoin there is but if no one is going to add some demand that coin will be the same as nonexistent.
The main purpose of open source project is available to everyone, even to scammers aswell which just unintentionally happen and what's left including which one is shit coin which one is good coin is up to the market to judge.

Who will decide the usability of a crypto coin ? Like, who will determine whether the devs are active or not ? There are only very thin differences between an active dev and for a dev who is on vacation after launching their dream project. So, we cannot do anything on sudden hence we must give them time to settle down.

Now, let me come to the point of "already happening". Delisting is the thing which helps to keep the crypto space clean as much as possible. When the devs are not active then those coins may hit zero value or considerable low volume to make themselves eligible for delisting.

We all hope for this but how can you completely remove these coins when day in and day out, there are tons of "useless" coins or tokens being issued?
And the activities of some exchanges like hotbit must not be intertained in the crypto industry. What happens there is a clear bot program that is set to augment trading volume and nothing more. When there are no real users, it pumps the price and when users go there to trade those prices, the bot starts buying below that price seen already.
Yesterday, 30/7/19 for instance, there was a 415% increase in the price of tratok which was far higher than the other exchange it was traded in compared to hotbit. I checked personlly and it was all bot activities.

Well first you must define useless. There are many altcoins in top 200 that for me is useless but it has high marketcap. I think what you meant is scam or dead coin.

Manipulation and market making will not be totally banished because top players will and always do as they desire with the market. Pumps never end same with heavy dumps to stay safe avoid such coins.

A coin that is considered useless is from all sides, both in terms of volume and price as well as the demand side, so that the coin is considered to be of no use to anyone, not only us personally but also others.

The real question is who will remove those shit coins. The reason is because there is no overseeing body to regulate the way things are done in the crypto industry and that is an issue we have to deal with. For example in the capital market, there are rules and when a stock is not doing well or management under investigation their stock is suspended but when it comes to this crypto market its free for all and it will continue to be so. The onus on the the investors or the traders who are usually at the receiving end to be very observant when dealing with such coins.

No need, just let the mass decide which coin is useless and need to die, pull the plug. If you can't see a dead coin then only you're to blame. So we don't need anyone or any group pop up and tell us which coin is useless and dead.

this is a free market and you can't remove anything from it as long as people are trading it. their reasons may be wrong and the coin may be a shitcoin but they are trading it.
on top of that, exchanges don't care even a small bit about whether a coin is useless or not. all they care about is volume and as long as a coin has it, they will list it on their platform. example: BSV, it is a pure shitcoin but only because it had a huge volume they listed it. as soon as it lost that volume they delisted it!!!

It would be great, but I do not think it is so easy to do. Coinmarketcap accepts only coins that have more than 50k trading volume, but do not eliminate them if they are not providing this volume daily. This problem bothers me as well, but I cannot get how it can be possible.

Even if the coin is shitty, but it is being traded for a small amount, it means that it is still interesting for the exchange. Absolutely illiquid coins will in any case leave the cryptocurrency market.

So what kind of coin is useful and useless? in my opinion surely coins that cannot compete and are useless will surely disappear by themselves in the market. Here why should blame the coin for the confused merchant and get stuck in it, we need evaluation instead of blaming and eliminating it, traders must be smart in choosing and managing strategies.

I think that has been done in the crypto world because I often see many new coins present then they just disappear due to a lack of explanation where the new coin will function or it can be said to have no direction. New coins like that must be immediately erased and just disappear in the crypto world and it happens automatically.

There are expenses involved in allowing a coin in to an exchange. Hot wallets and cold wallets needs to be created, and the scripts needs to be updated. If the trade volumes for a particular altcoin is high enough, then the expenses will be covered from the trade fee itself. If that is not the case, then the exchange will ask the promoters to pay up. Now this amount can vary from exchange to exchange, and smaller exchanges will obviously be ready to list coins for a smaller payment.

Once the coins are listed in one or two smaller exchanges, the next step is to inflate the trade volume using bots. And after a few weeks, the coin will gain enough trade volume to get listed in coinmarketcap. This will give enough attention for the coin and the promoters can then initiate a pump and dump cycle and vanish with whatever wealth they manage to accumulate.

I think it will be very difficult to do because useless altcoin will always be there every day and also there are always people who support it. and also thousands of useless altcoins in crypto are things that are impossible to remove.

I do want it happens but with the current altcoins were plenty available i think it won't be so easy but sometimes the exchange regularly delisted some of altcoins which have low volume of support and this is slightly helped people to know which useless altcoins should be removed

Who is going to remove it? If there was a central authority who controls/regulated everything, maybe he could do it. But "fortunately" the crypto market is decentralized (most of  them). So no one controls and no single person has the right to control it. As long as someone will use the coin, it will exist. Some sites filter out the coins that are dead, but that does not mean it has been completely removed from the market. Yeah, a coin can be removed from an exchange by delisting it and most exchange actually does that. Even casinos tends to remove support from coins that are almost dead or are completely underdeveloped.

The useless altcoins should be removed from all cryptographic exchanges, this needs to be done so that no more people are deceived by alt. other than that with alt garbage this will only cause the crypto name to get worse.

I don't think it's useless alts. They only lack the right investors and they do not have a hold token policy for investors.
Currently there are many projects with low volume and low valuation but they still work well, such as CS, WPP, BAN, ...

The truth is that there are so many shitcoins without any prospect in the market, but there is no way to flush them all out, it's not possible. Only when a project exit scam, that's when you can say it's the end. We all wish there are less shitcoins in the market, but the reverse is the case and it's inevitable.

Get used to it because you would just stress out yourself into things which aren't possible.As long this market moves or exist there would be devs who would continue to make shitcoins and get or scam peoples money.

Therefore, the best thing to do is to do your own research to avoid yourself into this shit projects.

Market will clear useless altcoins, but not now. It tooks years because many altcoins plan to migrate from Ethereum blockchain to own chain, but we do not know how many of them will really migrate.

Garbage coins will die one way or another if nobody supports them.  But it is a pity for those users of cryptocurrency who have such Coins in their wallets that nobody really needs.  No one knows how to get rid of them, since only certain groups of speculators will be able to provoke a rush around a certain project in order to get rid of these coins.  But still, someone will be deceived.

Unused coins and tokens, which do not have an exchange volume, certainly will not bring up the value of their assets. I don't know, whether it can be removed as easily as that by a smart contract owner or provider. Only ordinary people do not want to learn and only have an issue that will endanger their capital.

Overall, I'm here that is why I'm interested in cryptocurrency. Altcoins can be profitable but it is not a source of feeding family, it is investing. Because it is our future and I'm absolutely keen on trading, investing. It is something so history for me, which is just written. l can not deny this fact l earn some money like others. l think everybody has the same interest to be here.

This can never happen since we don’t have the regulation yet that would establish a board that will be in charge of approving and disapproving ICO projects, the only regulation we have right now is that of IEO, and this is just a free will regulation, there is no way they can have effect on other ICO that are not IEO platform.

The best we can personally do is to simply just ignore those projects that you talk about; they will die on their own, if they don’t get any investment that will continue to make them stay in the market. This is one of the reasons why many people do advise that we try as much as possible to do lots of research first before committing anything into a cryptocurrency project, if we all can get rid of them from our own end, then the issue will be completely taken care of.

Experienced can ignore. But from time to time a lot of new people come to cryptocurrency, some have money, and they heard about huge Xs. They cannot identify gems in a pile of shit. As much as I agree with you, I will still like to say such shit coins can not but be in existence in crypto world , it is those who are trading with such coins that should be careful and watchful. Some coins are spreading in crypto now that the only aim of the developers is to make people loose their funds. Many of the  projects dealing with those coins have no future plans and no clear objectives of product development. In as much as crypto allows for various projects by many developers to bring in their coins, it may not really be easy to say such coins should be removed completely. The only thing that is important is for investors to be careful with the kind of coins they will invest into.

I completely agree with the opinion that there are enough coins on the cryptocurrency market that do not show any signs of life.  Perhaps with a stable market they will come to life, but I believe that the development team should show at least some signs of the life of their project, so that cryptocurrency users not only have some hopes, but also support this project.

Without removing the useless crypto, I'm sure that the useless crypto will be dead coin first, without any interest from the investors, no volume on the market and also less circulation. This is the law of the crypto world. The coins that can be accepted are those that will give promising future, with the real products, great development and community, sustainable projects, and also an easy platform.

I am not agree with your thoughts in this system where everyone is free. If the project does not satisfy you, do not buy. It is the biggest rebellion you ever make against this project. After everyone thinks like you, the project will be ruined.

I realize your frustration but there's nothing we can do other than being cautious ourselves. This is a prime example of free market and you should be responsible to any of your decisions. The coins are independent so are exchanges. There's no uniform body to regulate them.
So, it's better to spend a lot of your time researching than regretting for choosing a wrong investment.

agreed, because I was tired of seeing crypto monitor sites such as coinmarketcap which contained lots of used ico coins, masternodes that were trash there and there were hundreds, meaning rubbish here had no volume and no value.

With the recent domination of Bitcoin, shitcoin will be in trouble and 99% shitcoin will be no more in the market. They will just disappear. It's better to move from shitcoin.
We can't prevent creatung shitcoin by greedy scammer but we can stay away from them if we do a little research before investing.

It's true that there are many altcoins in the market that are "useless" as stated on your post, but there is no way they can be completely  removed from the market. Nobody is forcing anyone to invest in any altcoin, reason why it's essential to do proper due diligence before buying and holding any altcoin especially for long term. Some developers are just out to do new coins, list on exchanges and dump, then move to the next coin to launch without any plans to use funds raised for project development. We just have to be careful on what we invest in.

I agree with your points. There are plenty of useless altcoins are still live in the crypto market. Especially Coinmarketcap should remove these shits immediately. It is unfair that CMC keeps listing the shit altcoins even after their death! Therefore crypto people should ignore all of these useless coins. Because of some people's interest,  these shitcoins hasn’t died yet!

Altcoins were too easy to create. But not all of them survive. There are thousands thousands of altcoin was created, and now, just few of them could make it to the exchanges. But I Don't think they are all waste of resources. Cause the market need competitions to evolve

Well, the altcoin exist in cryptocurrency must have function so the coin will keep have healthy volume in circulation.
Some altcoins are slow to developing their project, they looks like a dead coin, but actually they still developing, at least that is what they said.
If the devs doesn't have a nice planning and funds before creating coin, they will find difficulties to sell the coin.

Regarding the dead token or coin I would agree with the others as long as there are no volume there should be no problem.

Its not easy, cryptocurrency is open for everyone, everybody can launch their own blockchain or smart contract on eth and other platforms.

I think market will have their own reason when want to delist tokens or coins from their market. Of course they wouldn't do it because people ask it or maybe only because small thing. They sometimes look for listing fee and they will protect coin that already listed on them.

You can't know which altcoin is going to be useful or not. Currently all cryptocurrencies are used only for speculations. That's why there is pump and dump scheme. You can't do anything against that. Bitcoin is also used as a pump and dump coin. If not, it would have been more stable.

I got your point. They must remove the useless coin to avoid confusion where to invest amd hold. Specially from newbies. It is better the remove it to avoid loss specially to the newbies that already start to study and explore about crypto world. But the negative on this is there is possibility that we will missed a chance to rise a good coin to develop and the key to change the world.

There are a lot of such tokens on my wallet, I think to create a wallet and send them there, but it's a pity to pay for transactions.  They are really useless and have already died.

I am actually of the opinion that coinmarketcap should put more effort into scrutinising coins and tokens listed there in. The criteria of the platform listing in two cmc supported exchanges and maintaining a reasonable trade volume if not enough, a working product should be a criterion too

Like Realtract (RET), it appeared in October 2018, but due to the bad market, it could not grow. then 1 year, its value has seemed x10.

I agree on this. But it's difficult to make it real, you must convince all exchange to delist that dead token which unlikely will happen (remember there are still DEX which will listed them)
All of exchange sites want to make money, that's why they keep listing a token even though the volume is small

Centralized administrative management methods are not suitable for the cryptocurrency market. Everything here must obey the natural laws of a decentralized market. All useless projects and their tokens will leave this market after a certain time and there’s no need to invent anything else. This must occur subject to the laws of the market. That's true and it's just the matter of time. Crypto is about a competition for the platform that was giving a fully working product and it will be alive. But it's also important to delist the shitcoin to help the newcomers from those shitty coins. Further, the judgement of every investors are different, some would consider a certain coin a shit coin but some would consider it as a gem because the price is currently cheap or undervalued.

This question is very tricky. My thoughts regarding the delisting of shitcoins are next: ask CEO if the project is still active, check the github activity, check the trading volumes of the exchanges. This should be enough to make a decision. 

I often observe that most developers no longer care about their road maps, there is no point if a project has a good product or function but doesn't have many users and that is just bullshit. investors also will not survive with tokens like that., Shitcoin is born from various projects and tokens will die if there are no users at all. they will become spam in your wallet

I believe you that the market need to be clean up, but don't forget that this market is highly unregulated as no one is answering to any central authority. So must times we advise traders to do a proper research before investing in any coin. Just because a coins is listed in an exchange doesn't mean it's healthy.

If the coin was traded on the exchange and had sufficient volumes, it can not be called shitcoin. Shitcoins are coins that have never been on exchanges have no value and most likely will not do so.

The exodus of these mentioned currencies/projects would definitely be beneficial for the crypto market, but I believe this wont happen for another couple of years as there is still too much "stupid" money on the market.

For sure there are many worthless coin out there that needs total removal from the digital world. They were just created to scam others and after listing them in some low rated exchanges you never hear from them again.

I agreed with what the OP said about the removal of useless altcoin from the whole crypto market but I don't think is a need for us to waste our useful time on such actions because useless coin will always be a garbage coin and sooner or later they will be thrown into the trash can. However, what we need to do is to make newbies understand how to spot out useless altcoins.

For me, I see campaign on removing dead tokens from the market as medicine after death really, because the people that were hurt most are not the people that would invest after the ICO or after they have entered exchange, but the people that have already invested during their ICO, they are the real victims of these ICOs, and if we are trying to protect any group from scam, it should be this group of people.

It is unreasonable that coinmarketcap continues posting these worthless altcoins even after their failure. I think coinmarketcap should form a habit of delisting coins that dump beyond repair immediately.

The OP has made his point very clear. Shitcoins are causing havoc in the cryptocurrency market and they needs to be removed for the betterment of the established coins. They are affecting the valuation of good coins in multiple ways. First of all, they leach off the market capitalization from the established coins, and then they tarnish the reputation of the entire market.

The number of active cryptocurrency users in the world is still quite low and we don't have the capability to support a large number of coins. But despite this fact, new coins and tokens are getting listed everyday and the market is getting more fragmented. Ultimately, they'll die a natural death but we can't wait until that since a lot of damage may be done by then.

Good idea. In order to clean the market form shitcoins, the market volume is the first determinant for measuring the demand by the investors. The special tools will not do the same job for the crypto traders, we need to analyze carefully the market situation. I don't think it will ever happen. Because A lot of greedy people always will be there to buy shit coins. They think shit coin price can be up suddenly, so they can make a huge profit at once! Recently I found a project who are buying shitcoins through their own native tokens! I don't know why, but this is making some volume for that shit coin. The disbelief is understandable but there are other options as delisting from the exchanges and the dead volume will be the reason for the delisting. Sometimes, I wondered there are lot of coins listed in the exchange that has no volume but they still remained in the list of the
platform.  So, I was thinking that probably, they still meet the weekly quota in the exchange because at anytime soon they will pump
and dump their coins, only thinks is we don't know when?

Even without the effort of eliminating all these called "useless coin" the market is already not forgiving to all these kind of coin by making them lacking the volume because no one wants to own it and forcefully gets listed from an exchange while some stuck in decentralized exchange without any volume left.
Trying to remove these useless altcoins will definitely take up a lot of effort since there's a freedom for people to create as much coin as they can while resulting nothing. All the effort better to be put into prevention of scam project or that short of thing rather than trying to remove something that will naturally remove itself due to being lacky.

There are exchanges that delisting coins that has no enough value and having no more traders. It is being monitored by many exchanges. But somehow there are still useless coins that still in the exchanges . Many altcoins are being created by many people creating fake campaigns to gather peoples money, because creating coin is easy and creating its volume is easy too.

if we talk about scam projects, I think if this happens it will be great. I think everyone will be happy if there is no scam on the crypto market.

The buyback concept actually exist in the past but usually will become make the project have a high chance of failure. Most of people who got panicked when there's something wrong with the price or being dumped even a little bit will try to drain the buyback fund pools making the project losing the fund and therefore is not as effective as it is was once planned to make the project have a high liquidation.
Nowadays the developers have known such a thing and therefore we rarely see any project that uses the buy back method again after the ICO phase ended. It seems that they are just let the market decides the price for their token and let people provide their own liquidation.

There are lots of people who get involved on such useless altcoins since most of the people here are always after high profits. They experience high profits or hypes at the beginning of those altcoins and after just a few months, the project or the altcoin will be left alone and will go down to rock bottom but will still have the capability to stay on the market. This ends up to having investors mislead and to be confused if the such altcoins are good or fit for investment when it's not.

All coins that have no trading volume will be wipe off from exchanges in time, this is another way of dealing with useless tokens and coins, another one is not meeting good exchanges requirements so its better not to invest in projects that are not listed on very good exchanges

I had happened, coin with very less volume in the market are delisted in the exchanges and coinmarketcap as well I think was delisting pages of thees tokens when they are not in the market. This is how far we can prevent them from coming back, but these projects however are somehow doing some come back when finally they get a break.

This is just a dream. Scammers will always be present in any area of our lives and we will not be able to get rid of them. the only thing we can do is improve our knowledge and not become its victims

I strongly agree with this idea. Useless altcoins take up unnecessary space in the market and cause the pie to be divided into more slices during the bull season. Moreover, most of these atlcoins are scam and shit coins, that's why people lose confidence in this market. But is there any power to erase such atlcoins from this market? I don't know. We are not sure that all of them are dead, because as far as know some projects just paused trading activity and watching the market closely. Maybe most of them are dead but some are focusing on development and creating products but probably volume will resurrect once the market is fine.

as Long the crypto market is not regulated, scam projects and activities like pump and dump market will always be a threat to the crypto market. it is a recommendation that everyone should do their own research before you invest in anything crypto. No matter how juicy, it appears at first. take time and investigate the entire project to avoid loosing money.

No one will remove them as there is no law for this action in order to be applied. Crypto is an open market and you can't just remove anything that you find useless until every people agree to that. And yes there are many exchanges that are happy to list any coins until they have a profit. So, it's all  upto us users not to jump into any random coin but do a research about the coin you are trying to invest in. When no one is using these useless coins, they'll themselves be removed from the market.

Yes this is just a waste, but exchanges immediately remove it when its volume is low or totally zero volume. The only thing we can't erase are those on the wallet like Myetherwallet, All we can do is pass it to the unknow ether address or let's do a disposal ether add and there we throw our waste token.

Clearing the market with natural selection is the best possible option IMO. Using liberal choices will not give the expected results due to the unpredictable market conditions. For importing the market demand-supply and clearing the scam projects with agreeing small(scam) exchanges can save the crypto industry but I doubt it will give the same effect in the short term. for the long term, we need regulation and the audit companies from the professionals.

Very cool points here, shitcoins can't be entirely removed from the market, it's not possible. We just need to be selective in investment. For instance, a friend of mine invested 1000$ in a coin just because he considered it cheap and might give fortunes in future, even after I advised him not to. Right, In my opinion nothing can be done to eliminate altcoin that is not useful in the market. Leave them without buyers and I think that will make this type of coin disappear. Newbies are very easy to believe in the words of others, it only takes a few words for them to believe. And altcoin which has no volume will gradually disappear from the market and only coins that have demand and volume will survive. Don't know if one can actually destroy an altcoin, but they can die off on their own if nobody wants them.  If you can't send a coin because there are no miners and can't sell it because no exchange will list it, that's as close to killing a coin as I can think.

I agree with op that most altcoins should be killed off, since there's no good reason for them to keep on living.  That's what is going to happen with probably 90% of them within about 10 years I'd say, especially if the mood doesn't lift as regards crypto in general.  Only the high marketcap coins will survive, and the rest will just die a slow death.

There are a lot of coins that have no trading value and many are being delisted in the exchange. Some people still keep some of those coins for their own reasons. Maybe to remind them that not all things planned here are going to make it to reality. I am not against in deleting those useless coins but I hope people won't forget that they existed. They are here to remind us our mistakes and shortcomings.

I totally agree with your opinion that alttcoin which is useless must be immediately removed from the cryptocurency market. but in this case the exchange or market owner must make a special rule or regulation to the altcoin developer if someday the altcoin that has been listed in the market has lost its sale value it will be immediately removed from the market place .. so there will be a kind of bond contract between the owner of the exchange with the owner of altcoin.

There really is no way to sanitize the crytocurrency market of these useless alts other than regulations.  Unless a project has proven they are fraudulent or trading below the minimum required volume specified by any excuse,  they can't be delisted.  It is up to the buyer to make good analysis before investing in any token, some just exist to keep pump and schemes alive.

The only platform that have such power to remove shit coins from the market is exchange and I think some of them always do this. Community of an exchange can also help in doing this by presurrizing the exchange to delete coins that seem shit to them.

They just exist as cryptocurrencies.  Such projects are the real shit tokens. They aren't utility tokens nor security/equity tokens and offer no real value to its holders.

Holding the shitcoin will not bring the profit in both short and long markets, the promising projects can take a lot of time for realizing the profit expectations but it is only a matter of time.  I respect the opinion of inexperienced investors because they have not seen the up-downs of the volatile crypto markets. What you say is true that coins that have no value must be removed. But the question is how to eliminate it and who determines the coin is shitcoin which must be removed or not. I think shitcoins or inactive coins are being delisted in every exchange that they are being listed. Ive always received an email telling that in this particular day , they will remove that coin because of inactivity or no one trades that coin now. The only exchange that accepts and doesnt remove them is a shit exchanges too, but top exchanges will remove them right away if the transaction in that coin is low or else they would not be listed there at first because of being low potential altcoin.

I think so. Currently our crypto market has too much shitcoin and it comes from the greed of developers, they want to cheat new investors and not care about their projects anymore. If you ask me, we do not need to. All we are supposed to do is invest in the right coins and make money. It is not a very difficult task, actually a way to simple and easy plan to follow. If a particular altcoin is not good enough, then in due course of time it will be having declining trade volumes and in the end it will get delisted from most of the exchanges. That is the natural course. On the other hand, if we ask the exchanges to delist such coins, then it will go against the decentralized nature of the cryptocurrency market. I agree with you. I was once a victim also of transferring altcoins with the same code and thinking that it was the coin that I have and sent it to the exchange only to realize it was a different coin. What a waste by losing the coin that way. This confusion is indeed bad for crypto.

Many new and old projects are circulating around without any real purpose, if they can be trace and remove from this market then investors can easily pick the project to support and wait for the opportunities.

Useless Altcoins or "shitcoins" must be really remove in the market because it doesn't have any good value at all, that is why holding this kind of coin in a long term is useless because you won't get any good profit from it that you are waiting for nothing. So if you are holding shitcoin in your wallet, I think you should better move it in an altcoin that is profitable for you not to waste any time and money.

This is the main reason we need regulation within the crypto space.  We have many scam project that uses the leverage of the decentralized and free nature of crypto to perpetuate scam and Rob investors of their funds. They establish this scam with fake large telegram  groups, fake team members and fake hype.  That is why it is advisable to always do research in depth before investing as an investor, check to see if the team information are verifiable on LinkedIn and from other crypto verified and reliable rating sites

Not because it's free, people will just abuse it, and just create because they like to have one, all coins should have a products and services associated with it, it's usage that creates support for a coin, without usage your coin will end up as a shitcoin and there's also a risk that newbies might fall into this one, and their money will end up as wasted.

Do not bother paying attention to useless tokens, they always end up dead sooner or later, once they get delisted from exchanges its the end for them, just protect yourself from falling victim to these projects

Removing useless Altcoin would be the greatest and best option for market recovery, investors are scared of investing and no more trust in crypto as it stands so removing useless altcoins will be so amazing.

I agree that altcoin is useless and has a small transaction volume in delist from the market. Many projects that are already inactive but still exist in exchangers do not even have transaction volumes and I think if deleted, will make the cryptocurrency market healthy and provide real data about market cap value

Exchange regulations have evolved but only for user data, and not for traded coins. the problem here is that many cexs still trade this coin because they only prioritize trading volumes as filters. I think the reputation stamp should be imposed on their smart-contracts, so there is a red notification when their contract address is checked by users and exchanges, especially coins that are clearly scam, etc.

Most of the time, the exchanges are always after the money and they don't care if the coin or the token is scam because as long as they are willing to pay the fee for getting listed in a certain exchange. The only thing that we can do to avoid getting involved in scam altcoins or cryptocurrency is to know how to verify or double check a cryptocurrency if it is legit or not.

There's no doubt that we have several useless altcoin in the cryptocurrency space. This is evident with the projects which have a reputation of being used by greedy cryptocurrency enthusiast for pump and dump schemes. There's a growing need for projects with valid use case because that's what guarantees that the project would stand the test of time.

It is best to close bad exchanges and there should be specific rules for choosing crypto to list on exchanges.  Currently, the cryptocurrency market is quite new and the world still has no strict and general regulations.  New projects are many and there are many countries that facilitate them to develop, all of them are startup projects so failure cannot be avoided.

At first place, why you will buy a shitcoins? it called shit because there is no value at all. People should always remember this specially the newbies, do not buy a altcoin that does have low volume and market capitalization because there is no demand in the market. When there is no volume to the shitcoin eventually it will be delisted from the market, what is not going to be delisted it the project which is an exchange itself. You can't forcefully remove a coin or token from the market because you think its has no impact on the market. This is a decentralized market and you can only allow this kind of assets to die off with time once it has no volume

Without we force, some market will remove coin ot token that they think not profitable anymore. Maybe with that we can see some old coin that die already and then new coin that just listed. In case the OP talk about market like usual because he not describe it is centralized market or decentralized market. I think without we force them, they will do what is profitable for them already.

Removing coins forcefully from the market is not possible because the cryptocurrency market is largely decentralised. Its not owned by any organisation or body like in the cases of exchanges. I think OP has collected alot of shit coins during airdrop and he's angry at the market on looking at his wallet. I suggest he turns off the shit coins or get a brand new wallet since its free on playstore

As user, we only can follow what exchanges either it is decentralized or centralized exchanges. I think without people force them, they will know what they do and good or bad for us, they are company or maybe have employees to paid and they need profit to for their site. Everybody wants to make money. There are strong projects in the market. I choose strong projects and invest. But again the price is falling. That's ridiculous. Fake projects can reach high prices. I've been in this market for 3 years and I'm still worried about buying altcoin.

I think so too. If clear the market of useless altcoins, then it will be better. Standing projects that really do something and work will benefit. Accordingly, it will be easier and easier for investors to work with such projects. Perhaps in the near future they will do so.

This is impossible as at the moment almost 90% of coins are at the bottom and look like shit coins, This is only possible when all markets go to peak level and all remaining dead coins remove at once from exchanges. But why exchanges will remove them? as they have paid for listing on these exchanges.

Exchanges have all the rights to remove coins with low liquidity even if these projects paid for listing on the exchange. what is the point for the exchanges to keep coins that do not bring anything to this exchange?

You said it all, the only thing that matter to these type of developers is to enrich themselves, some will just try to list on a bad exchange so as to justify everything and that will be the end of the project; but on the aspect of removing them how can that be possible?
