I think as more people learn about social media companies' involvement in people's data there is no better time than now to have a anonymous communications app come to market.

Does that mean we don't know who the message is to us? in my opinion this is actually more dangerous if we don't know who sent the message, and it will also be difficult to know whether the sender is our friend or not. Such apps are just analogs that won't survive when such a giant enters the market.
