That's why facebook must make it clear whether the company will actually launch libra token or not, i have experienced this so many times when scammer was creating a new contract address that name a big project that was getting hyped. That scammers were spreading the news in the telegram. Kuna exchange must be told about that and kuna can freeze the amount.

this is the best example of showing the type of people who are in the altcoin market. a bunch of gamblers who are too lazy to research stuff to know what they are investing their hard earned money in. they just take any false promise they give them and jump in, head first.
it may sound harsh but i say they deserve losing their money.

That's why facebook must make it clear whether the company will actually launch libra token or not,
it will not change a thing.

It's really kind of ridiculous that people would even fall for that, but yeah I'm not surprised by anything anymore these days.
Literally 5 seconds of research and you already know that it's impossible to buy Libra.

Besides, why would anyone want to buy Libra when it comes out, it's a stablecoin and it's owned by Facebook...

Facebook didn't sell their token yet to the public show people who are buying something called Libra token need to be awake from there nightmare since they are buying something useless.

If Libra token available for the public to buy then it should be available on Facebook applications as well so people should buy from official application or site rather than trusting someone with the same name.

Facebook should take care of its name.
For example, to announce this publicly in advertising posts in his social network, television and mass media.
That the project is only one and should beware of scammers.
Thereby, there will be much more confidence in the project, if of course it in be launched.

I already thought when I heard that Facebook would launch its currency, some people would use it to cheat, we must be careful and do not believe if there is a sale of Libra tokens based on ERC20, because Libra will use its own blockchain.

Its oonly greed that will make most of us to fall for such. I am really interested in the Libra coin but am not putting a dime until an official announcement rightly from Facebook  itself

Still we have 6 months nearly for the libra to be launched for the public to buy so if anyone asking to buy libra from them then simply ignore it.Only buy from the official site and the plaes we can buy might be known once its available for us to buy.But libra is not a real crypto so better invest on something new rather than making facebook as more profitable.

While Facebook halts the plant to launch Libra and its future in limbo, many copy cat will try to take an advance on the situation and create fake coin.
Better watch out everyone.

Besides, why would anyone want to buy Libra when it comes out, it's a stablecoin and it's owned by Facebook...

I have the same dilemma: why on earth would somebody invest in Libra, when it's a stable coin? What would they earn, the privilege to get their money money back if they are lucky?!

That's why scammers are so successful. Even if they look for scamming people, they follow the latest updates, demands of the crypto investors. Facebook token sales will be bigger than the biggest crypto initial coin offering sale in my humble opinion. Libra will show the unskilled teams how to make a perfect IEO in the crypto ecosystem.

Yeah, it's kind of funny really. I've seen so many people say that they're going to "invest" a shit-ton into Libra and I'm always thinking: Why??
You're going to wait for the price to do what exactly?

I haven't actually bothered to read the entire whitepaper, but I do get the gist of it.
It's going to be used as a currency to allow the unbanked to get access to financial services, supposedly with less fees.

If there's one thing I don't want Facebook to be involved in, it's my finances :'D

This is really a very useful article. I will share it in crypto vietnamese community.
Currently in my country are offering a lot of libra coins and they have fake very similar websites.
Everyone should share this article with other forums to avoid these scam components. We need to minimize it to get the most perfect and safe investment environment.

I read one article that it's not going to push through, there will be no more Libra coin because it will be facing a lot of regulation from the US government, and they are not ready for it, they did not expect that the US government will be too hard on them, this Facebook Libra topic will now be going to stop.

Yes, unfortunately, I am receive messages and emails stating about that Libra's private sale since a week. Unfortunately, Libra now seems to be a favorite of the scammers. And I hope nobody believes that kind of false news. Not to forget, Libra is a stable coin. Therefore, there is no case that I will profit from the Libra and become rich. That's why everyone needs to be careful with this type of scams.

These scammers are riding the hype for Libra and made a same name for it. The sad part is why there are people that invested to it, aren't they looking for the updates before investing? I can't blame them if they became gullible on that part but these scammers really are making my blood high.

Scammers can always take advantage of the opportunities of hysteria in cryptocurrency and ordinary people always panic and are only interested in big profits instantly, that's the right combination ::) We should be wiser in investing. As much as possible disseminate the correct information related to an issue so that no more people are deceived.

As expected for these scammers yet using up a hyped thing for the benefit on making money out of those greedy bastards who do like to purchase Libra without
even knowing the official statement on where this coin can be bought up.

They do end up on get caught on the web of scammers due to desperation on not to miss out with the hype.

Sad to see that it's for sure that those who invested thought that it's Libra and didn't conduct research before putting their money. Mostly, these are the people that's new to the market. They just think that it's all about the profit and there's "Libra" on its name so it must be legit for them.
I feel bad for those people that were fooled by these scammers.

Sometimes I wonder how people fall for this kind of cheap scam. Facebook libra has not announced any sales of tokens and may indeed never launch (considering the legal battle it still has to battle with some government institutions), so why would someone think he or she is actually buying facebook Libra coins? We just need to create more awareness especially to new entrants to cryptocurrency space

The emergence of Facebook news to create a new coin called Libra was enough to make the crypto world crowded, even after the news was delayed, it was proven that there were still many other people trying to cheat new users that Libra would launch in a few weeks,
for those who are just aware that Libra coins are still not officially launched, if you find a site or news about the launch of Libra or ICO, it's probably a scam.

These scammers were riding so many hype project anytime if you are seeing the fake address and it much better to report it to the etherscan or something else to make sure this service will give a marker to that scam contract address.
These days scammers have been using a lot of ways to scam others consider IEO gives a lot of disadvantages to the scammers.

Anyone doing this really needs to be pity on. How can one make such Investment decision on a big project like this and the news isn't anywhere. Really this shows that there are many investors who still have a lot to learn in this space. Nevertheless have read a new on Facebook coin not going to happen again, still waiting to see how it plays out.

With the popularity of Facebook and also many investors who are interested in Libra Coin, this attracts many scammers to cheat new investors. Many in the telegram group circulated links about the sale of LIbra Coin but I better not believe before there was a statement from Facebook or the team itself

That will really be bad for Facebook, they have not even launch the coin, these is already happening, what will now happen when they launch it, there will be so many people that will be scammed using the fake version of the Libra coin to lure people into bringing their money out.

I am not sure that Facebook may even want to go on with this project because all they have been welcome with is hatred from those they even expect to form part of their community, if people are not willing to accept their technology, then I wonder who would really be using the project when it is being established, it is better they don’t waste much money on establishing projects that people may not accept. I think the United State is also going to fight them hard for them not to get established.

Wow I didnt thought it will also happen to them.
Although it is not new for us here in the forum, given how secured facebook is with malicious videos, pictures, authenticity and scams I do thought they can handle this.

Maybe, they didnt expect it too since they knew scammers will be scared with it.
They have the power of tracing people. Their facebook company can now use it properly. ;D

as far as I know the Facebook team has not officially released their tokens to the public, and if there is news that they have released it is certainly a scam. I've been thinking about this, while Facebook is a big company so it's no wonder that many scamers abuse their companies to cheat investors. always be careful with that

It will stop now that Facebook has announced that Libra coin will not push through, because of the regulation that they cannot take, I guess people did not know this,  they kept posting about Libra coin although it will not materialize anymore.
It is difficult for the LIBRA to pass and appear. It will affect the economies of many countries around the world and change the entire cryptocurrency market. I myself hope it will not be passed because if it is approved. XRP, ETH .. and all altcoin may die

That is a very wrong view in my onion, how those the lunch of Libra result to the death of other alts if you care to be more elaborate? i guess you should understand what Libra entails before assuming the worst about countries economy, i don't know how a mare coin will affect countries economy, Libra will only be accepted by those who wants to just like rest of other crypto.

Fb's libra coin is becoming popular so its not new if one day we will see scammers using this coin but its now happening  .    this thread or this news rather will be used as a wake up call to warn others that will be going to invest on libra coin   .

It is a good thing that the op quickly raised alarm over this, although I have never come across such a thing and I don’t know if the story is real or just assumption, but if it is real, people need to be extremely cautious of it, especially gullible people that can easily fall for things without them making research first to know of its genuiness. What usually get me angry about some of these social media that they are using their name to scam is that they keep quiet about it.

I remember that there was a time we all saw telegram campaign on this forum where everyone virtually participated in it, but at the end, they realized that it was scam, telegram never for once came out to make any statement in respect of it until many people got scammed through it.
