Title: ARCHIVE.TO (Sorry, I mean ARCHIVE.FO) site down?
Post by: sandy-is-fine on August 01, 2019, 02:44:06 AM
Can't access or ping it for last 2 days.  Is it just my ISP or is it actually down?  Sometimes happens on Comcrap so I'm not sure.

SORRY!  Typo.  It is archive.FO.  Bad eyes.

The domain seems to have expired and is just a parking page now. Try using archive.is (https://archive.is/), which works for me without issue. If that still doesn't work, what DNS provider are you using? I know archive.is has problems with Cloudflare DNS and it's possible that it's happening with another DNS provider (for example I can't load bustabit.com while using OpenDNS).

You can also try archive.fo or web.archive.com

Often tor won't open archive sites and very rare they are not available from normal browsers, usually, if one is down, the other probably isn't (I mean, archive.is - archive.fo)

OP when was the last time you used archive.to? I am not familiar with this domain.

And base on web archive the domain archive.to was parked since early 2017 or even on earlier years.

Are you sure, you can access the site days ago?

Sorry, that was a typo.  It is ARCHIVE.FO (bad eyes, looked like .TO) I can't get to any of the others in the list either.
Also not working on 2 cell providers.  Tried aall of the variations.  Weird.  Using GOOGLE DNS on PC not sure who Verizon & TMO use..

It might be a temporary regional outage I suppose. The site loads for me, but isup.me (https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/archive.fo) reports that it's offline. If you need access right now, try using a VPN (I like ProtonVPN and they have a free tier).

DAMN!  Never thought of that. That's it.  Comes right up from Canada on VPN!

Thanks!
